Productive.. Stuff [Inv. | Anna]

"Yes i happened to be in the city at the wrong time, but it's not like i can predict the future of what could happen. I was just as surprised about the turn of events as everyone else." Aien responded calmly since there was no point in lying to his sister. She's young and perhaps a bit naive still. However she's not stupid either, but then again that might be Aien's fault since he always get her to put puzzles together and place chess every now and then. It was just a hobby for his sister and Aien included, but those activities do improve their intellect or at the very least utilize their mentality to solve their problems and learn from their mistakes. Kurumi pouted a bit that Aien still wasn't giving a direct answer to her question, but her expression immediately brightened up when she saw Auriel approaching them as Kurumi waved back with a bright smile on her lips.

"It's only been a day, but it's so nice to see you again! Even Anna is here with you? But..." Kurumi looks up at the sky a bit as dark clouds continued to loom over the town. "It is raining out here. I figured you guys would be inside your homes or something." Aien was being quiet since these girls seemed to be Kurumi's friends. He didn't want to be rude nor does he know them so Aien honestly doesn't know what to say other than a greeting. However when Auriel mentioned his name Aien's lips lightly parted, but he smiled softly as the young man reaches out with his free hand to shake Auriel's hand. Aien of course kept in mind that his strength was ridiculous right now so he made sure his touch was gentle. "It's a pleasure to meet some of my little sister's friends. I'm Aien Lunasinger, but I'm sure you already know that much." Aien glanced at Kurumi who just shrugged her shoulders in response.

Seeing Auriel making her way back over to Anna's direction, Aien decided to scan their reishi just to see whether they're human, quincy, fullbringer, or even shinigami in disguise. However Aien drew up blanks aside from the reishi clearly being sensed around both Anna and Auriel. He couldn't feel anything from these two, and at first Aien thought it might be because they're so unaware of the spiritual world that such a thing of power was never in their reach. But as he thought about it even the weakest humans gave off some kind of energy. The only exception were of course the only bount Aien knows of and he doesn't believe that Anna is standing before him.

Still on behalf of Kurumi's decision they follow behind Auriel since Kurumi still wanted to chat with them. To be frank even with possibilities that these are bounts Aien isn't too worried about it, but he's aware that if these two are indeed bounts then they already know what he is. Even so Aien doesn't hold any hostility intention in his mind nor his body. A car drove by and ran through a decent sized puddle of water which proceeds to splash at them. Aien lowered his umbrella and warded the splash from getting to Kurumi, Auriel, and Anna in which case he got himself soaked from it. The water was cold, but compared to how weather has been lately Aien welcomed the cold water. "See this is why you shouldn't be next to the road Aien! You're completely soaked now!" Kurumi exclaimed rather worried, and yet Aien just shrugged his shoulder as he brought the umbrella back up. "I am fine. Believe me when i say that the rain is a nice change of pace in my opinion. Of course if you guys would like, you could come with us to hang out. We're currently getting a new bed, but afterwards we'll be over at our house if you like to come over." Aien offered to Auriel and Anna as his soft smile was still present. Bount or not Aien is not in the mood to be off in his shinigami duties. He's had enough adventure already to last him a lifetime.

Kurumi had a grin forming on her face mostly because she knows that most people won't even consider him as a crush worthy material. So this is a rare occurrence for Kurumi. One she doesn't want to pass up so Kurumi nodded her head and proceeded to be led away from the two. It seemed this girl had something she wanted to say as that much Aien had picked up since Auriel kept Anna silent for a few moments. It was the way Anna carried herself, her devoid expression, and most of all how hollowed her voice sound almost like that too is devoid of emotion. It was similar to how a certain someone acted as well that Aien knows of, but last he checked Anna was both getting chomped on by the Titan and also being beaten by her doll.

So when Aien hears Anna speak again the young man puts the two and two together or in other terms connect the dots to find out that this girl and the girl he knew were the same. To be frank he found it surprising of how much she changed. Aien's expression became one with concern yet relieved that she was able to survive from both horrors. It indicates to Aien that Anna has a strong willpower to survive which is something Aien can respect. "On the outside sure I guess you could say this is my normal life while others are suffering because I'm not out there. However I am one person and I cannot be everywhere at once unfortunately." Those cat-like eyes shifted to be filled with emotion of self-doubt and regrets. Flashbacks of what happened at the square rang through his mind and how powerless he was. The only reason why he survived that encounter was because the arrancar Theocelese had taken an interest in Aien enough to spare him.

"Besides it's not like I have the power to stop things like what happened at the square. I did the best I could of what my abilities allowed me, if needed I would sacrifice my arms, my legs, my organs, my heart, my soul, and even drive myself into insanity if that was what it took to gain strength enough to quell terrors like that from breaching the perimeter of the scene. However I knew that no matter what I did I could never even hope to compete with something like that creature we saw at the square..." Taking a deep breath as Aien hates being powerless, but that's probably what everybody else felt from the Crisis Core since even with their combined strength they couldn't even put a scratch on the hollow. However with Aien being fed up with being so weak is also a sign that he hasn't given up yet. Aien's tone was casual as he holds the umbrella at an angle to shield his face from Kurumi's point of view. This was because he knew she can read lips, though in the very basic form.

Should he tell her that he's not even considered as half of a Shinigami? Should he tell her that he's only had his powers for three months now? Should he tell her that he's only a kid who hasn't even begun to graduate from highschool yet? Aien disregard these thoughts as they're just excuses of why he couldn't protect people even though he had successfully brought most humans to safety. Every hollow he's come across were immediately cleansed by his blade. None were spared from his zanpakutou unless the hollow proved to be too strong. Then Aien will force them to return to Hueco Mondo instead by hurting the mask and such.

"Well to be fair I did manage to convince the arrancar to leave with myself in tow. I'm pretty sure I landed on the Soul Society's shit list again for conceding to an arrancar. But I haven't heard anything from them yet." These strings of events occurring in Aien's life makes him feel like someone of higher power such as fate is having an entertainment session of how misfortunate Aien is. Still Aien can't deny the fact that there has been cases that aren't his that shinigami have been too late to arrive at a scene. Some were rather sketchy to be honest in Aien's mind, but he never questioned their methods since he was still learning their methods.

"I apologize I'm not up to your standards for a shinigami. I'm fully aware that I'm a terrible excuse to be a shinigami despite this life being forced upon me without any knowledge of what anything was." As he was talking Aien began thinking that even with Raiden in bankai the Crisis Core were still having problems. Aien would nod his head in agreement of Anna's offer and present a soft smile in response. "I wouldn't mind learning a thing or two from you. As for the last part, I honestly wouldn't worry about it. The chances of you and I becoming enemies are slim to begin with. Even if we do fight at some point you have more ways of killing me on the spot than I count on my fingers. Besides even when I do die the soul society would just erase my existence from everyone I knew in regards of humans. So it's not like anyone will miss me if I up and vanish."

"Bount, Shinigami, unicorn, whatever it is. I am human right now and always have been. As long as you guys don't harm my family or friends you're not my enemy. Even if my sword was ordered to cut you down, unless given a good enough reason as to why that should be and I see it with my own eyes I really don't think I could do it. Death is overrated as it has been demonstrated over the millennia of war and conflict." Aien responded as he really doesn't want to become anyone's enemy. Aien certainly didn't want to become Anna's enemy for if he really was the Soul Society's lapdog or wanted to get bonus points from them Aien would've attempted to slay or capture Anna during the incident at the gaming event. Yet he has done neither as Aien is proving even now. To most people's eyes who are aware of the spirit world, he would just be categorized as a Shinigami no matter what. But at the end of the day he's just a kid who unknowingly plunged headfirst into the vast never-ending war between Shinigami, hollows, quincy, and now bounts apparently.

'Is anything I say gonna fall on deaf ears? That no matter what i'm going to be considered as an enemy just for being me?' However that's when Aien began to comprehend a small portion of how Anna feels about being hunted by the soul society. Before he was an illegal substitute, and even now he's technically still on probation. But since Aien has been getting a pass from his teacher, warden, and friend the soul society has been letting off his case little by little. Mostly because more important things come up where their attention is diverted to something else allowing Aien to have a little more free time. Of course Aien would proceed to walk beside Anna with his umbrella still in hand.

Kurumi grew curious about what Aien and Anna were talking about, but Auriel was able to keep Kurumi distracted enough where she couldn't focus too much in order to read from the situation. The little sister thought that she could always ask about it later, but what Auriel said about the bed brought up the image of seeing her big brother half naked. She quickly grew flustered while Aien just shrugged his shoulders in response. "I just woke up and next thing I knew one side of the bed collapsed. It was an old bed I'll admit, but it shouldn't have broken the way it did." Though now that he thinks about it Aien has a suspicion that maybe Kurumi had a hand on it, but it was a precise cut to where some sandpaper would make it a small smooth square. In other words he either didn't register what Auriel implied or just simply didn't care much about it.

Kurumi remained flustered as she stumbled for words. "D-don't joke things like that! Seeing him half naked is already enough to give me a heart attack for the day!" Aien had this expression that tells without words being spoken (O'reily now?) Still Kurumi kind of metaphorically put a foot in her mouth when it comes to Auriel's attempt to stir some kind of trouble. Hearing Auriel's comment about how Anna slept was something that caused Aien to smile. It reminded how his friend Kyle used to be before the whole Shinigami business happened. To make working for his Shinigami duties of dealing with hollows much easier is to make himself virtually invisible from other students. Aien always gave advice of how to win the girls Kyle had a crush on, but Aien never even attempted the romantic route as far back as Aien can remember. This was because he always thought that romance was both overrated and unnecessary to possess. In which case this leads to butting heads with Aien and Kyle merely because Kyle has also been trying to get Aien a romantic interest.

The main reason why Auriel reminded Aien of Kyle is because there was one time during a lunch break they were hanging out at the roof. Kyle was at it with his crushes again, but it was with a middle school student. Aien advised fully against it and even brought up that it would sully Kyle's already bad reputation even worse than it already is. Still Kyle was fascinated, and it took Aien bring up the facts that most people would look down at Kyle and his relationship as well bring ruin to any chances both career and other things such as marriage. Of course Aien is aware that the age of consent in Japan is 13, but picturing someone like Kyle dating someone who is young enough to be like Aien's sister always warded him away from such thoughts. Aien gave it about a day or otherwise betted that Kyle be going after someone else the very next day and Aien won a free set of CDs that contained music that Aien specifically listed beforehand because Aien was right.

Still with all of the advice, and even the knowledge of know-how in romance Aien wasn't prepared for Anna running into him. Granted his eyes saw the movement coming towards him and registered that it was Anna. Instinct took over his body as his mind dulled to discard color on his sight in order to process information faster as well. Aien's right arm, his free hand that was tucked in his pocket of his shorts, raising up from his pocket to reveal an empty hand. His mind registered that there was no hostile intention behind it or at least not towards him so defending was not necessary. Aien could step to the side, but that would mean Anna is left vulnerable of something what Aien was anticipating to be a hollow. For a moment Aien's reiatsu spiked due to his body reacting to stimuli of adrenaline.

So this led to one course of action that Aien thought it was the best at the time, and the results were not what he expected to have. The right arm came up to securely wrap around Anna and while Aien took a step back to brace himself the teen was wearing flip flops. These footwear are also notorious for not staying on his feet in which case he is barefoot touching the slippery, wet ground. So of course Aien would slip and he noticed that he was going down while feeling that Anna was carrying the momentum as well. He could always make a twist to use his hands to cushion his fall, but that would leave Anna falling full force to the ground. Besides, Aien didn't sense any hollows around them so they shouldn't be in any immediate danger, and there was no point of not cushioning Anna's fall. So he served as Anna's cushion to the ground as the umbrella was still held firmly in his left hand.

Aien didn't take the fact that due to inertia, being propped up, and other effects taking place since he was running on instinct alone. At the angle they were at Anna had gone up a little bit higher due to her momentum so when they hit the ground Anna would be on top of Aien while being securely held by Aien's right arm which either help prevent injury on the knees or she could put her entire weight on Aien. Either way nothing could prepare them for the fact of another classic accidental falling kiss moment as both Aien's and Anna's lips connect together. It was an innocent kiss on Aien's part, but that didn't matter to Kurumi who turned bright red. "Y-y-y-y-y! Aien what the hell are you doing?!" Despite Kurumi's words she is firmly convinced what Auriel was saying earlier about Anna confessing to Aien was true after all. Of course Aien parts away from the kiss by leaning his head down and loosening his arm enough to where Anna can freely get up. Quite frankly aside from the light blush on his cheeks not much can be read on Aien's expression. Instead he looked a bit concerned while also trying to hide his flustered side. "Are you alright Ph4nt0m? Sorry I was only running on instincts and I didn't consider the angle."

Well Anna's reaction was understandable from a normal perspective since it seemed like someone from middle school just kissed the person they liked for the very first time. Though Aien didn't think much about it with the attention switching from the laughing Auriel and the Anna who is hiding behind Kurumi. "Aien you should be ashamed of yourself! How can you steal a girl's first kiss?!" His sister exclaimed while having mixed feelings about this situation. Aien knew that this was going to look bad on him, but it is not like he had planned all of this to happen.

"It was an accident Kurumi. It's not like I planned any of this except for getting my bed." Aien gave a weak explanation as Aien has a feeling that an unforeseen hand is creating this sort of events just to mess with him. It certainly wouldn't be the first time since it seemed like fate gave him the abilities of a Shinigami, but in response this had triggered Aien to be imprisoned and was originally set up for execution. Aien would proceed to get up on his feet while fixing his flip flop in place before adjusting the umbrella. "I'm sorry Anna if that was your first. Though if anything I think you should consider the one who indirectly caused it..." Aien was of course referring to Auriel and that was when Anna turned her attention to Auriel with a burning passion.

This was perhaps the first time Aien has ever seen Anna's expression change from being devoid of emotion. It was a nice thing to see from Anna in Aien's point of view because it meant she wasn't as devoid from emotion like Aien originally believed. Aien saw Auriel started to run and at first Aien thought she was going to do what Anna did by hiding behind Aien. Only Auriel did the opposite as she dove for Aien, and quite frankly there wasn't any hostile intent behind it. Perhaps Auriel was trying to put Aien in the line of fire in hopes of stopping Anna in her tracks? That was what Aien originally thought until, well, Auriel happened to kiss Aien that he did not expect from Auriel to be honest. Then again there was mischief all over this situation so it's not like Aien overruled the probability, but he didn't think Auriel would go through with it when Anna was about to do something drastic that Aien at first read would put Kurumi in danger. So when Auriel kissed Aien his younger sister was at a loss for words as her face is deep red from the fact that Auriel willingly kissed her older brother.

How ironic is it when both the bount and her doll appear to like Aien, but Kurumi was fuming because of the fact both of them appear to be around her age in terms of appearance. "Aien! How can you possibly let this happen?!" Because if he were to avoid Auriel Aien had the feeling that Anna would've introduced just how different they really were from Kurumi. Of course that is not to say that Kurumi has a bit of power in her as well, but it remains dormant since Kurumi hasn't discovered it yet. This much Aien is aware of, and quite frankly if it is anywhere near what Aien's power is like then he hopes that his younger sister doesn't unlock it the hard way. "The person... Wait since when did this started?" Aien asked as he was covering his flustered face by maintaining his composure, but if anything his expression looks rather bashful. Of course he was referring to when Anna started liking him, but then again if Anna nor Auriel didn't like him then both of them would either subdue him or straight up avoid Aien entirely. They certainly are capable of hiding from Aien no matter where they go since Aien cannot sense bounts due to them not producing reishi like normal spiritual beings.
