Life is not all sunshine and rainbows. Being beaten down both emotionally and physically enough times gave Misato a good understanding how things worked. This world wasn't fair nor played nice. Whatever games people or monsters were but that, games. Life is deliciously violent. Chaotic and insipid, people's lives were far to flat and so when one's light flickered out fate merely laughed. A few million times Misato danced around the electricity in her mind. It wasn't simply like fire, as fire burned and corrupt. Yet her supreme stagnant pond that was her contempt, her breath on this cold night would ripple space asunder; drawn this forest in a black and purple sea had she not kept her arrogance and pride sealed away.
She did not feel as though making a maelstrom in the place where someone she cared for once died. The years were both kind and horrid, yet she made herself a champion of her own fate. Something along those lines, though Misato simply gave herself time without noise from others baring what came from nature. Owls hooted and wolves howled but she didn't mind. The clouded night sky, moon peeking out enough to give Misato some light. She leaned against a tree, sitting while drinking from a gouged looking up at the moon. She had a melancholic expression, a faint somber smile on her face as she slowly sipped.

[attr="class","aritext"]Just how long had he been here? Arashi continued to push his body to new limits, every day was a struggle, and even now he was in a position of adversity. He had left his home the soul society and came back to earth. He came back specifically to Karakura town and things hadn’t changed. Now there was a new group of monsters on the loose and he was within their ranks; yet he wasn’t a monster. At least that’s what he told himself. He had tried all his life to be a kind person even a savior in a sense. He was nothing more than delusional.
His power levels had increased and decreased; he gained and lost allies too. Everything seemed to fluctuate but not now. Now his power had stagnated around the same level of most captains. What was he to do to increase it further? Was there anything he could even do? He wasn’t sure if there was a right or wrong answer to his questions. All he was going to do was continue to try. He had been hiding in the forest near the town, training within its confines, and questioning his goals. After a few hours of this he had enough with his work and left.
Arashi seemingly went into autopilot mode as he walked away from the forest with no direction in mind. It wasn’t long before he started to notice familiarity in where he was walking. The sights caused a rush of memories to come back, the day of his death, and the location he had been walking to were one in the same. He came back to original location of his human death when a man mercilessly killed him with a lamp post. A sigh came from him as looked around. It was still the same albeit some minor cosmetic changes to the park equipment.
His white shirt rippled against his body along with his khaki shorts. He wasn’t wearing a Shinigami outfit anymore but instead his old human attire. Arashi had to blend in with the humans again seeing as if he didn’t then soul society would realize he was still alive. During his moment of reminiscence that he saw someone, someone very familiar, it was her. His feet carried him without his mind even sending a message. It had been so long since the two of them had seen each other; he wondered would she even recognize him?
[attr="class","aritext"]Misato's overall life wasn't bad. There wasn't much she could, or did, complain about. Crisis Core gave Misato opportunities she'd never encounter given she continued living as a pure Human. New powers and abilities that came with a cost of obeying orders when given. That and protecting people more than previously but she hadn't forgotten who she was and how she got where she was today. Perhaps one prospect in Misato's bid for power was finding Arashi, spend more time with him albeit she hadn't yet found him or seen him since some time ago. That was until now.
Arashi's spiritual pressure, different as it were, was remembered by Misato very well. Her head shifted towards his direction noting how he'd grown since their last encounter. Or had he at all? His presence brought conflicting emotions, ones she didn't care much for. Pressure built around and behind her eyes yet she kept tears from forming, but keeping them away caused her tightened chest to sink into her stomach. What should she say? What was she suppose to say? Damned attachments. "Someone's late." She painfully spoke with a hint of shakiness in her voice. Was she late or him? It didn't truly matter.

[attr="class","aritext"]“I mean have I ever been on time?” He chuckled nervously as his eyes met hers. He could tell just by looking at her that the sight of him brought some emotions back. He figured she would have tried to bury a lot of them inside of her to avoid this sort of reaction. Arashi scratched the back of his head lightly, shaking his hair around, and while doing that he continued to look at her. “You’re still as beautiful as the day I met you.” He smiled softly as he sat down in front of her with a big thud.
He was a bit heavier than the last time they saw each other. Before he was scrawny a bit weaker and definitely human. Now he was different to say the least. He had put on a bit more muscle, his hair was cut differently, and there was still just a light scar on his face from his one fight with the monkey. “How’ve been?” He didn’t know if it was the right thing to say to her. After all when was the last time they saw each other? The last thing he would want to do is upset her with being insensitive.
He watched carefully as he waited on a response from her. The wind that was blowing started to cool a bit as the sun was going down. It would be night time soon but he didn’t want to go anywhere. He just wanted to sit here with her, and reminisce about the good times. It wasn’t like they could go back to them and relive them; at least here they could talk about them. They shared many memories together, many emotions, and it would be best to talk about it now. He still cared for her, she was the one who made him want to be stronger, and she was the one he wanted to protect the most.
[attr="class","aritext"]”Besides my hair going from purple to black, I’m living breathing and walking.” Soul Society’s influence somehow changed Misato’s hair albeit she didn’t complain. The sudden alteration gave Misato a new look without her approval but life was life; so she took this change in stride. Her hair was noticeably much shorter too. When Arashi sat down she did too, then drank from a tan colored gourd filled with wine. Maybe not fit for drinking but the grape flavored wine tasted very much like grapes, the alcohol barely testable which was a rarity for most drinks. Actually, this was more like grape juice especially due to how thick it was.
”Kidou training’s a bitch. So was Touka about that whole Bankai trial stuff.” Her brows tensed and she pointed towards Arashi, then motioned for him to take the gourd; nigh demanding he take a drink. ”We’ve got one Crisis Core guy, name’s Raiden but call him Rai Rai, on trial for murder. Guy supposedly killed some Shinigami named uh, heck if I remember. I also got this new student named Aien. I tell ya, he’s just fifteen and got forced into getting Shinigami powers. We don’t know who, but he’s under my wing now. He’s sort’a like...” She paused to gather her thoughts then realized she was giving one of those life’s stories type deals. She chuckled, taking her gourd back and took another sip but wasn’t stingy with sharing with Arashi.

[attr="class","aritext"]“Yeah the whole kidou training was definitely a pain in the ass for me too. I’ve never fully mastered it.” He grinned a little remembering the time he nearly blew up a whole building because of his lack of control. He took a sip from the gourd before she took it back. He noticed that she wasn’t being stingy with it though. It was like her after all to share her delicacies with him. He listened to her describe her story for a bit meanwhile he would take a sip every so often while sharing the drink with her.
“Yeah, I’ve got a whole mess of a situation I’m in. Everyone thinks I’m some sort of deserter and that I’ve betrayed the Gotei Thirteen. Shit, I just wanted to do what I could to protect my comrades at the time and now look at me. I’m a traitor in the books. I’m surprised they didn’t send you after me yet.” He looked around now as his body tensed a bit at the thought of being caught in a surprise attack by her. It would have been very effective if they thought to do that but he was sure that their relationship was quiet.
After all he never told anyone about her there. If they knew it would be because of them spying or her mentioning it to the captain commander. “So, what squad do they have you in?” He decided to switch the subject a bit and find out a bit more about her time in that world. Was she doing well with her squad mates and captain? He worried about her being placed in the second squad with that Soi Fon. After everything he had heard about she certainly seemed like the type to be a real pain in the ass.
