It was actually the first time in a long while that Aien was granted permission to even take ahold of his original Zanpakutou. For days, weeks, and even a month now Aien has been training under the careful eye of Misato Ketsugoi. In addition every morning Aien trek his way down the thousand stair from the summit to the small village at the base of the mountain with a large empty bag slung over his shoulder. Where he will collect supplies and of course if there was something that needed to be done Aien would help the village out while the bag was loading up. Some of the village folk tried to interact with Aien, but he’s actually been hard to approach lately. Not because of him being an ass of being the intimidating person just by being approached, but rather Aien just seemed so distant yet is aware of his surroundings. After the bag is full, Aien would trek his way back up the mountain.
Aien has displayed excellent control over his spiritual awareness as he practiced to keep his third eye open. Even his eyesight permanently changed into a more feline with a jade green color to them where Aien can see more detail at further distance and has his own night vision much like a nocturnal creature. All because with practice of just controlling and refining his reiatsu Aien discovered quite a few things. Though it might be a bit unrealistic since he just got his Shinigami Powers only two months ago now, yet he’s well on his way to being equivalent to the average Seated Officer at this rate. Kido, honestly, was never Aien’s forte to mess with, but instead he’s begun to make his own variations through Reiryoku. Though none have really begun to bloom any fruit yet.
At first hiking up the snow capped mountain was brutal on Aien’s body to where he’s collapsed a few times, but as each day passes Aien has become better at withstanding the cold enough to where he can at least make a trip up or down before resting. In addition Aien had to learn fast how to evade the creatures that stalk the path to the emissary. Mostly wolves, but there other times when Aien encounters a different sort of creatures. The winds vary since it could be blowing up a blizzard against Aien or it could be oddly light in just a couple hours span. It still makes Aien a bit uncertain of when the winds is going to pick up again, and sometimes the blizzard lingers for days.
Aien held onto the sword that housed his spirit by the scabbard close to the hilt. Up until now Aien has been using a blank Zanpakutou, and that was simply because Aien wasn’t really entrusted with having his Zanpakutou back. Especially when someone so inexperienced and so much younger than a Academy Candidate who doesn’t even possess a blank Zanpakutou. Yet it cannot be denied the fact that Aien has already imbued his spirit onto his Zanpakutou and even went as far as unlocking his Shikai. It feels strange holding onto his Zanpakutou once again, and yet deep down there was a familiar sense of being complete.
There he stood in the main chamber of this establishment as Aien had created a sync with his soul. Feeling a surge of power, Aien would place his left hand onto the hilt and proceed to draws it out from the sheath. It casts a silvery reflection as the orange warm glow dyes the blade. “It has been a while since I last used my Zanpakutou… I just hope i can make the most out of its capabilities. Because in the end we’re all just dreamers in an endless universe.” Controlling and refining his reiatsu to pour into his sword in order to release the seal. It was like pouring water into a bathtub that needs to be filled, or at least that’s how Aien envisioned it to be.
The sword is surrounded by a dark bubble, refusing any light from entering as it even covers Aien’s left hand. Honestly it made Aien feel a bit winded almost like someone stole the air out of his lungs metaphorically, but still Aien managed to release his Zanpakutou into a Shikai. With the bubble crumbling away like paper into nothingness, it reveals the once silver shine of his blade is now dark yet colorful with an ever changing image of outer space. From the images similar to the Milky Way to even other planets to be seen on Aien’s blade. In addition the half circle cuts in the tsuga are replaced with white and black half circles that continue to shimmer in a faint glow. On the sword’s hilt is still wrapped in black threads except that there’s now six different colored dime sized circles that starts from the tsuga to the coppery gold pommel.
Aien would lightly toss the sword towards his own right hand while taking a step back with his left foot. The moment he caught it Aien envisioned an imaginary blade coming at him horizontally as he would raise his blade up to parry the said image. Which his zanpakutou whistles past the image as the illusion was just in his head. It doesn’t necessarily feel the same as it did with his previous fights where he’ll either clash against steel or even bone. Still he can’t be picky, and Aien’s blade sings happily through the air as the pale blue mist continue to wreathe and caress from the tsuga to the very tip of the sword. Which is more than enough reason to be sated just by holding onto his zanpakutou, and even more so as he continues to train his body to get used to the pressure his zanpakutou places on him. The strain was a bit unusual, and as time presses on Aien’s mind the release gradually gets heavier and harder to control.
With a lunge forward while bringing Aien’s sword down as if he’s about to chop something in half. Except that Aien halted at waist level to mildly demonstrate his control over his form. Aien would then decide to utilize one of the most basic techniques he was taught in his sword fighting style. In which case Aien takes a deep breath to calm the mind and begins to build up refined physical energy. In which case Aien would instantly open his eyes while simultaneously slashing vertically that is surprisingly faster than usual and is quite accurate. The blade pierces through the cold air enough to create a mild whistling sound that was only audible for a brief moment. Aien however knew that the technique was sloppy in his mind, so he swings at the same speed for the second time just from a different vertical angle. Both times however were making his arms in pain with a burning sensation as the technique puts a moderate strain on his muscles since it is pure physical effort.
