'Ugh' Satoshi thought to himself. A small layer of dust was visible on his left shoulder, and he hated getting his suit dirty. Something about getting stares from humans in envy of his style made him appreciate the culture more. He brought his right hand out of his pocket and dusted it off in light sweeps as he looked at it. His silver hair shined in the dusk light, the Vizard pushing it away while he looked back up.
Walking at a steady pace while looking down loosened his glasses' position, so he used his fingers to push them back into place and put his hand back into his pocket. They were purely for style though, as nothing was wrong with Yamada's eyesight. If anything, it was highly refined compared to it. His head turned to look at the people that went about their daily trivial business, texting on their phones and talking with their 'friends' about their day. The Vizard knew that one day all of these people would come to know great pain yet great joy.
Slowing down slightly, he took a left turn down an alley.
He had heard rumors of hidden lab's and experimentation facilities within Naruki among gang-members. They were simple stories to scare people away from them in the first place. They told tales of people going in and never coming back out, 'Too cliche' Satoshi thought. They didn't scare him, though. He would love the mystery of discovering a place of true wonder and innovation. Being a former member of the Soul Society's Squad 12, an innate interest in science always seemed to bubble in him.
The two buildings he walked in-between seemed to be heavily abandoned. A perfect location for gangs and secret hideouts alike, and as good a place to start as any. He brought up his right arm trailing his fingers along the roughly formed concrete, feeling the individual detail whilst closing his eyes. His tried to power down his sight in order to concentrate and focus on his other senses more keenly, but to no avail. He brought his hand back down and stopped in his path, slightly frowning in frustration.
Looking around, he saw several nailed doors with plywood scaffolding the portals. So many places to start.
Gage walks down the stairs in the abandoned building, his left hand sliding quietly down the railing as his heals clicked their way down the tiled floor. Draped over his shoulders is a black jacket, the top two buttons fastened to hold it up as his right shoulder and arm was missing, the lack of body frame making the jacket fall off without the support. Where oh where did you go? The clatter of something getting knocked over two floors below him tells him that it got farther ahead than he expected. Leaning over sideways he lets gravity take him, pulling him down head first several stories before he flips last moment, his feet catching his body almost silently just before he hits the ground. Standing in front of him, crouched and almost appearing ready to strike out is the hollow he was here to visit.
"Where are you going?" The beast, body similar to that of a six legged lizard with human hands at their tips, swipes at him. Hopping backwards the open hand misses ever so slightly, the palm catching a vertical concrete pillar, shattering it to rubble and dust so that it can use the cover to flee unharmed. Gage never relished the hunt, his mind was always more drawn to finishing the fight so that he may move on to more beneficial things. He could not help, however, that there were certain cases that he would play cat and mouse with. This hollow was one, a rapist that was killed in the back streets of the area by a botched attack on a woman that happened to own a small pistol. We are not done here. Gage reaches through the dust cloud, the sound of breaking wood showing that the hollow had found an exit and was ALMOST outside, not that it was much safer out there. His outstretched hand grabs the base of its tail, pulling back with enough force to drag it backward from having the majority of its body make it outside. Outside it would look like a hollow had erupted from a wooden panel only to be dragged into the dark once more by some unseen force.
Looking around, he noticed that there were several entrances to choose from regarding the buildings they were for. Some buildings had one metal door with no windows, some were like shacks that had wooden doors and beaten windows. But all of them seemed abandoned...at first glance. Searching for clues was always one of Satoshi's strong points, he had a very strong intuition that most people seemed to lack. Some people could call it common sense, but to him that was too simplified and frankly a misinterpretation of word intuition. Intuition was more then just an ability to have a 'feeling' about things. It was the talent to connect things that other people seemed to lack. A certain third eye sight that allowed you to piece thoughts together to form a conclusion. It was more intertwined with your thought then it was spiritual.
Satoshi began thinking, 'It seems an unlikely spot for any hideout. It would make more sense for there to be an underground entrance somewhere.' He took three steps, moving his head left and right to scan the area, moving his white hair strands with it. His topaz eyes darted back and forth, until..
"HM?" Quickly unsheathing his hands from his pockets, the Vizard twisted his torso sideways swiftly whilst standing firm, aimed his gaze at a sudden surge of two separate spiritual energies. One was..he's sensed it before. At first thought it appeared to be a Hollow presence accompanied by a non-spiritual individual, yet powerful. He could only deduce from hindsight of his past that it was a fullbringer, and it far out-classed the hollow. In that instance, the hollow burst through the window that Satoshi was standing 6 meters away from. To his surprise, it went right back into the window as quickly as it tried to leave.
Tilting his head in wonder, his left hand rested upon the hilt of his rather long Odachi as he began pacing quickly toward the window. And he almost got there, unfortunately his path was interrupted by another hollow coming to the beacon of spiritual energy that was now present. The one before seemed slightly more powerful then the newcomer, but it was irrelevant to him. It seemed they would both meet there end. The new hollow was 10 feet tall, and stood on 2 legs. However, the legs were big and wide like elephant limbs. Green and grey was scattered across its body with its mask donning a hideous elephant face/tusk resemblance. Both of these tusks happened to be broken in half, one of them cracked all the way down the middle. His arms were long green tentacles without suction cups that seemed to move without bone structure. The hollow hole being in the stomach of the beast seemed large enough to throw a beach-ball through it.
The hollow raised its arm bringing the massive tentacle into the sky, and brought it down violently. Smirking, the Vizard quickly brought his at face level, and snapped his fingers. A powerful hollowfied Reiatsu equal to an Arrancar's quickly burst from his body like a grape packed with energy. White liquid emerged from what seemed like the tip of Satoshi's nose, and red liquid soon followed quickly merging together to cover his entire face. In an instant, his entire head and neck were covered and the hollowfication liquid turned into a solid structure. A whirlwind of dust and debris seemed to kick up, and Satoshi's left hand came up in a claw and caught the Hollow's arm with unnatural ease.
"Now..Let's see who the scarier monster is." The Vizard planted his right foot forward and surged his left hand backward with the Hollow's tentacle in hand, fingernails digging directly into its skin as he tugged it left/toward him. The giant hollow's massive legs came to an unbalance and it fell forward with a low-pitched deep moan. The face of the hollow came rushing toward him while falling. Pivoting his body leftward, Satoshi slung his right hand forward in a claw toward its face as it came down. In a surprisingly loud 'CRACK', his hand smacked into the white mask. On the mask, the area underneath his fingers and palm got completely shattered, while the rest of the mask splintered and cracked like hard wood. An evil smirk carved its way across the Vizards face, and the dust cleared from his head. This revealed and red and white vizard mask that went all the way around his head and neck. It represented a jaguar, with feline ears made of hollow bone connecting to the head. An ear-ring with a bell adorned the left ear. The bellow of the hollow followed the mask cracking, which seemed to radiate throughout the earth in a deep but rather loud groan. It attempted to bring its other tentacle up that was laying on the ground, and swept it across the dirt towards his feet.
"Your momma doesn't feed you enough, darling. HAVE A BITE." The air seemed to grow a shade darker in crimson red, as ball of crisp red energy quickly formed in his hand. And just as fast as it began forming, a beam of pure red hollow energy surged forward in a cone that carved right through the hollow's face, and everything 10 meters behind it in a miniature explosion of force and friction.
With no more face to hold onto, the hollow's body slipped past his hand and fell with a hard and loud, "THUD" onto the concrete. It began decaying and its soul was cleansed as it died. The Vizard fell to a kneel as overwhelming pain overcame his body. His other personality was making a ruckus. His right fist slammed onto the ground to keep himself up whilst his left hand slapped his mask off with a, "Whish" Of Crimson, gold and black Reiatsu. He began applying his deep-breathing relaxation techniques attempting to keep himself in control. He knew that he could never spend longer then a few seconds in his mask without becoming his inner-self. And even then it was difficult to re-align his thoughts. His usually blank face filled with killing intent from his 'other' self, and horror from his deepest memories.
After a few more moments of deep breathing, his body stopped shaking. He slowly got back up to his feet, re-applying his void and cold facial structure, and began walking toward the window once more.
Gage felt the surge outside, a shinigami having joined the frey. Hollows generally traveled near each other, when ever something was strong enough to kill one, it would normally leave a few loose souls in its wake so they were easy meals, giving them good reason to be nearby. It only stands to reason that the Shinigami outside had happened to meet with a hollow, at least giving Gage the privacy that he felt that he deserved. He lived as part of a civilization after all, they weren't animals. Shinigami could be construed as beasts though depending on which ones you happened to be meeting with, squad 11 fighting like rabid pit bulls in a blood brawl. "It seems like someone has come to be your savior. But we both know better don't we." Pulling a knife from his belt he wrestles the hollow tot he ground, the thrashing limbs putting up a valiant fight but to no avail. Ever so gently he slid the blade into the base of the neck, splitting the spinal column just enough to cause full body paralysis, leaving the entirety of the body limp and worthless but still alive.
Then the flash, something familiar but at the same time scary and horrifying. Gage could feel his stomach flip for a moment before he starts to level his head out and places what intensity of the power surge was at. It was close but not quiet equal to that of a Captain Grade Shinigami. However it reeked with Hollow energy, similar to his own but so much more intense in its hollow aura. A shinigami, strong and dangerous as they were, also infected with the energy of a hollow. Vizards. He has never seen the transformation himself, only knowing about them from second hand accounts but just from what he could tell right now the transformation was as intense and effective as the rumors seemed to convey. Leaving the hollow on the ground he could tell just from the fading energy behind him that it was going to live, healing for it being a non option as he has caused enough damage to keep it immobilized for days at least.
Heading back to the wall where the hollow had found its way though into the alley Gage takes to the left, opening the door with his one arm. His energy was indeed suppressed, it always was, if not so that spiritual beings on the other side of town would be drawn towards him. That did not however change the intensity of the energy showing that he would not be trifled with. "Well hello there,"his voice was not unwelcoming but by no means friendly. He simply wanted to know who this was and perhaps some of the finer details on this 'vizard' transformation. "You seem to be handling yourself rather well."
As he walked to the window he noticed he couldn't quite see inside, but could sense the Hollow's Reiatsu slowly fading at a rate that isn't fast enough to be alarming of death. He wondered why this man would keep him alive seeming a little trivial. Perhaps he liked to catch and keep his prey.
The door had swung up lightly, and now he could get a clear look at who the man was..As soon as he stepped into the light for examination the Vizard had begun analyzing him. His Topaz eyes slowly scanning his body up and down.
He couldn't visibly see any weapons on the man but something about him gave off a vibe that he didn't really need any weapons drawn in order to defend himself properly. A sure sign of a man with skill and experience, something Satoshi needed at this point in time more then anything.
Satoshi shifted his body in a direction that changed his pace from the window toward the opposing building. As he began doing so, he stopped halfway and turn to look back at the man who greeted him. It was quite clear he had no intent other then to seek the Vizard's own agenda, which would most likely factor into what the Fullbringer does next. However..he could tell that he wasn't chaotic. People that had such personalities usually had a more...unstable pot of energy bubbling inside of them which made others uneasy. Being one of these himself, he usually could feel the vibe that he himself gave off. But he couldn't feel it on this one. Satoshi's own personality was a mix of cold and void, yet hot and full of passion. People with stable signatures of personality had a balance mix of both yet Satoshi has extreme amounts of either one, never both.
His clothes made a sound of friction as his hand raised, and push his glasses into place.
This shinigami did pick at Gage's interests immediately, he seemed to show no signs of being a hollow and the energy that betrayed him as a Vizard had faded to the point of near invisibility, replaced with the energy that regular Shinigami's put out. Gage's eyes, a bright jade green look the man over, seeing anything on his body that has an unusual amount of spiritual energy as if glowing but otherwise just normal sight. "Thank you," Gage walks forward, the hollow energy still sifting through the air from the previous encounter with the fading hollow. "That was interesting. I couldn't help but notice that you had a surge of Hollow like energy. As a Shinigami that makes you a Vizard does it not?" Gage was not normally one to jump to the point so quickly but he really was intrigued.
A Shinigami with Hollow energy in them has crossed the boarder between the un-death of being a plus and the death of becoming a hollow. As a mix of both Vizards are closer in relation to a Fullbringer than to any of the other races out there, even shinigami. Even though in reality a Shinigami is not a race of their own. It is just a title for another soul that has bonded to an item, the whole community bonding to swords. Maybe if he could find some kind of medium then Gage could cross that boundary also, becoming a spiritual being and unlocking the next level of the entire races spiritual prowess. What could that mean for the world as a whole if it could start providing itself with a feasible means of self defense against the walking atom bombs of Soul Society and Hueco Mundo.
The thought crosses Gage's mind of what the repercussions are for Vizards in the Soul Society community. Are they all outcasts for dabbling in the blood of tainted creatures or are they seen as the next stage of evolution?
Something was telling the Vizard this was going to be more of a human interaction, something that Satoshi had particularly lacked in as he tended to be more reasoning and logical about things.
Though if there was any time to learn how to communicate well enough to stay alive in the real world, this was as good as it was going to get. Especially with someone as powerful as the man who stood before him. Satoshi's forced smile was developed over years of silver-tongue usage, his grin growing across his face with a warm glow as the other individual returned with a, "Thank you". In response to this, the Vizard looked at the Fullbringer and returned with a soft but firm,
'You're welcome.'
He cocked his head slightly as the man continued to talk, which eventually formed into a question. Nodding in understanding and pursing his lips in an 'alright' face for a brief moment when the Fullbringer was done speaking, he breathed in deeply and turned away from him slightly, golden eyes glowing with a deep sadness. As far as he knew, he was simply an abomination according to the world. But to his own eyes he was something...Something far better then either a hollow or a Shinigami. And perhaps others had yet to see it from this perspective or rather already did. Perhaps even this man could discover such a truth along with the Vizard.
Shaking his head in confusion of this thought, his emotions began bubbling and his face fixed into a cold voidness again in order to suppress it. 'Vizard' he thought to himself. He had heard this name somewhere..but never applied to himself. It had just been acquired one day as if he had always had it. This man seemed to know more about it then himself. He looekd back up at the Fullbringer and said,
"It seems so. Depressing to say, at this point I know less then you."
He took a few paces towards the man with his hands in his pockets.
Something seemed off, the social greeting being genuine on the outside but something seemed to be skittering around the inside, almost like a cat that tries to ignore the mouse just so when it pounces it can do so unexpected. Gage had not really expected that he would know more about the Vizard condition than someone afflicted with it, the Soul Society seeming to have others in their midst. Why would soul society have more Vizards in their ranks and not inform them of what it meant to be one?...unless he was not apart of Soul Society anymore. A rouge shinigami, vizard and free of... He would have to keep his head on this one, if he got ahead of himself then he might run this man off. He could be an endless source of information so Gage would have to make sure that he at least tries to remain civil.
Gage does not back up as the man approaches. "I am Gage Mekhanik. I try to keep the hollows in Karakuratown suppressed but every now and then a Hollow surfaces that I feel deserve some special attention so I will make special trips just for them." Gage holds his hand out in a peace offering of a shake. "And you are?" This would be the point where he finds out if the Vizard is going to be willing to be civil.
A feeling began to grow in Satoshi's stomach the more the conversation happened to go on. Something was telling him that his man didn't just want to meet me for greetings sake. The more he talked, the more the Vizard felt as though the individual before him was more fascinated about Satoshi then his own self. Something about that made the Vizard a bit more weary of the situation, knowing that plenty of people in this world would love to get their hands on things they can't understand. It's half of the reason the world's are ankle-deep in a pit of corruption.
"Gage Mekhanic..I suppose if anyone could appreciate a serene environment, it'd be myself. Appreciate the efforts, friend."
'Ah, a rather polite fellow I see.' He thought to himself as the man's hand extended forward for a shake. 'Rather suspicious to see such people, especially knowing what goes on in the spiritual world.' A moment of time passed as his arm was stuck out, and the man looked at the welcoming shake. 'I'll play along' With that, Satoshi's smile widened once more and he met his gaze.
"Name, huh? First time I've been asked in years. Satoshi..Satoshi Yamada"
His hand clapped into the Fullbringer's with a soft shake that seemed to betray his naturally cold and destructive aura.
"Satoshi Yamada," it was by no means a common name but what nowadays was common? "Well, good to meet you Satoshi." Gage would have agreed with him, saying that the area was actually calm if not for the reason that it were calm. It was once a hot spot for crime and theft but the odd surge of hollow activity caused this area of town to go silent as the people started to avoid the 'haunted part of town'. It would not be the first time that Gage has force himself onto a test subject so that he can get some decent research done with them. He has even been known to use children as test subjects, albeit rarely. Aien was his only test subject younger than eighteen years old and he would likely never use such a young subject again. It was almost pure luck that this worked out so well for Aien at all, reality states that in all cases the boy should have died.
"So, you have no idea what a Vizard is?" Perhaps with a little time Gage could build a reputation with this man, get him on his side so that they could do some good elsewhere.
The man's pace stopped a few feet away from the other individual's position. He seemed very keen on informing the Vizard about his own species, something that nobody he could think of would be willing to do without something to get out of it. Even his own self.
There were probably several reasons for wanting to get on the good side of someone like Satoshi, but he'd get just as much if not more out of it from gaining a positive reputation with those who have more influence then himself.
What he wanted, or if he wanted anything at all wasn't clear to him. He could just be extremely polite towards new people he meets, though something in the back of Satoshi's head told him better then to expect that from anyone. Even relationships between the closes of friends have to keep some amount of silent distrust in it.
Being a former member of squad 12, he had spent numerous years experimenting and researching on every piece of information he could get his hands on in the Gotei. And something about this man before him told Satoshi that knowledge transference was one of this mans key traits. It would be very beneficial to be able to learn certain features and skill-sets from someone who has had a completely different come-up and experience from the Vizard's.
This was as good a time as any to begin forming new allies to complete his goals. 'My goals'...He thought. Long was Satoshi's suffering in the past, he couldn't help but internally light up with joy when he knew progression was in perfect sight. Something about this day would mark him a new man.
"Contrary, actually. I have quite a few ideas of what I am. But a specific name never came across during my contemplation. Something tells me I should be a little concerned that you do." He finished with a smile, now noticing that a slight amount of mockery came into his tone.
"It would be silly to not be wary of those that know more than you. However, I can promise that there is a lot out there about your...condition. It is actually not unlike mine, as a Fullbringer that is. The biggest differance being that I was born with my Hollow in check. You have to face yours constantly. It is a trait that is admirable, being able to contain so much emotion and keep such a dark personality in check constantly." It was true, Gage has been exposed to the constant fighting of a personality and their more...insatiable sides. Anyone capable of fending off so much of a comanding personality must be someone of decent repute. Darker souls would most likely have fallen, simply becoming the beast that their inner hollow portrayed.
"I suppose its a rare request but is it possible that I could see it?" Gage referred to the mask, the tell tale sign of Vizards. His eyes watch ever so carefully trying to take in all the detail that he could. Maybe he could learn something useful right now. "The mask that is. I have never seen a Vizard transformation in person and word is that they are impressive."
The Vizard was a bit relieved this man had some common decensy when talking to each-other. In retrospect to his other encounters he's always had a level of trouble communicating with people who have their individualistic mind-sets.
These were the people that hard very influencing experiences, which he always seemed to find the most interesting yet most difficult to convince to do anything other then what they want. Yet this man had made no effort to display his interests in the 'Vizard' that Satoshi apparently was.
Satoshi nodded with every few words the man had spoken, confirming the conversational understanding with the occasional "Mm."
He had learned pieces of knowledge about Fullbringers in his time, never having a full summary in his head to feel secure about their abilities and specialties. As far as he could tell from his energy and the Fullbringer's words they were something to be considered just as dangerous as a hollow. If they were similar in even the slightest of ways he knew that the possibility of self-development were practically endless.
He acknowledged the hardships that Satoshi knew all to well about. 'Such empathy for a stranger' he thought to himself..what was he up to?
He took a deep inhale through his nose with his eyes clothes, breathing out in a heavy sight before peeling them open once more along with the exhale.
"If there was anything you should know about what I am, it's that none of it is admirable. It's like feeling tainted down to your very being, the taint being simultaneously a curse and a blessing. Usually I'd be inclined to tell you about it with such general hospitality, but I'm sure we can both agree it would seem betraying. Especially during these times, my friend. If you'll indulge me, I think we can benifit equally if you answer a few questions that I have myself. If you know what it means to be cautious in this world, then you should expect me to do the same."
Gage understood what he meant. In a world of spiritual beings where the strongest member was always the one with the most friends he knew that interactions were by far the most effective ways to affect change. That would explain the Shinigami's tenative behaviour but at the same time he seemed to be a bit too withdrawn. "Well, I suppose a tit for tat is called for." Gage had never really cared for hiding things, his biggest secret being the location for his lab... workshop... Where he does most of his work.
He was wrong though. Gage knew full well what it meant to be 'infected' to the core. To feel that there is something driving you that should never have existed in the first place. He got past that though, learned to live beside his demons and keep them in check, even learn to use them to fuel his powers and make him who he was now. But that was a story perhaps for another time. His past was in his past and he does not do well to dwell. The present was for the living. Or at least as a saying as not everyone that lives is alive.
"So ask away, I have plenty of time and this is a rather unique opportunity so even if I didn't I would find the time."
It seemed the two males could come to a mutual agreement on trading secrets. Satoshi couldn't help but feel a bit joyed over the opportunity to learn more about things that he couldn't quite grasp by himself. What the hollow inside him was, and how the hollow correlation came to involve the newcomer as well.
He had expected the majority of the people he would come across to be bent toward blocking out any other view of perspective. It was fairly astonishing to see someone of this man's particular talents to be some open to communication. But the astonishment came from a mix of cautionary awareness as well as simple fun.
Satoshi held his warm yet distant smile, slipping the words, "Mm. the feeling is mutual then". Agreeing that it was indeed a, 'unique opportunity' repeating the man's words in his thoughts.
The Vizard knew that his skills were far too inadequate to match up to his rivals. With this thought in mind, the possibilities for growing in power were increasingly limited as time went by. Meeting someone who was beyond his power and experience by ages--such as this man was something to be considered heavily when taking into consideration the amount of personal growth someone wants.
Especially with Satoshi, his desires always influencing every action he did. No matter what his pride had in mind, he had to do this for his brethren...his only true family in this world. He had to keep in mind that people were out for themselves regardless of their outward expressions.
"Well..frankly there are few sources of knowledge in this world. Having being forced to leave the only place that had this acquirable knowledge in vast amounts, doors to walk through are now limited. Im sure you can understand this, no?" Yamada applied his silver tongue, an uncanny smoothness found in his voice.
"I believe it would be perfectly reasonable to ask of you the opportunity to acquire knowledge that you have to give. And in return, I shall give you my knowledge."
Still a bit tenative with the situation the Vizard seemed to be opening up to the prospect of learning, an unusual trait among Shinigami. A surprise, a welcome one, but a surprise none the less. At the very least he was willing to share some of what he had to offer, be it knowledge or skills that he has never seen up close. "I have no inherit issues with giving you what ever you need to know. Personally any time that some one makes any kind of uninformed decision then they are not making their own choices. They are making the choice that their situation has laid out for them. Not exactly a fair decision. Either way, if you want to know what I know I would be more than happy to have you visit me back at my shop. I have all the files that you could bleed your eyes out on." Gage digs through his jacket pocket with his good hand and pulls out a business card. On the front is his information but the back, typed out in spiritual ink is an extra few hidden lines only visible to those with spiritual sight.
'Gage performance and professionalism. We have the tools to get the job done.'
Handing the card over he grins, he was proud of his card. He put a lot of thought into the line, professional and short. It would draw the crowd that he wanted at his shop.
It seemed the situation was moving along with an alarming rate. 'A Fullbringer with his own Shop, eh..? That's new.' He thought to himself. It would have never crossed his own thoughts that someone who seemed to have such a 'busy' schedule as a Hollow-hunting fullbring would also run a shop.
Though lots of people referred to their place of studies as their shops, which was most definitely in the boundaries of possibility as far as he could tell.
The man seemed to be well developed in his own opinions on the way of the world. This was a clear indication that he had seen plenty to get where he was, and had plenty of motivation to keep going further. Something they had in common.
"A fair point of view, Mr Mekhanik. I've yet to hear of any kind of spiritual being having the time to root themselves long enough to sit and study in an actual shop. Perhaps you could explain to me how you have come to acquire such a fortress of solitude on your travels.
As for those files of such 'bleeding' proportions, there would be quite a few pieces of information that would help put my mind into a settled state. I'm inclined to accept this offer." His voice sounding single-toned and cold.
Gage laughed, "Fortress of solitude! Hardly." Gage pulls his cellphone out of his pocket, flipping through some photos and turning the screen away when he accidentally comes across some pictures of some more personal friends. "Oops, my bad." Pulls up the photo of his shop he shows the front of it, Gage holding a sign up that says 'open for business'. "No its actually my 'Shop'. I build Performance Motorbikes on the side. Its how I got my kick start funding for what I am doing now. Yeah this takes up a lot more of my time that I would like but I still take the odd job every now and then." Gage really did miss it. Back when he was new in town and didn't know how bad the Hollow problem was he would spend up to twelve hour days just turning wrenches in the garage, tuning bikes and getting broken ones to run. It was not hard but t was definitely calming.
"I have a personal lab too but this is my baby. Most of my work is done here in the garage. I actually have something going on right now, I just got a notification that this guy," Gage gestures at the hollow still slowly fading in the building. "Was back out of hiding. He was notorious for robberies and back ally rapes. Figured while he was out and about it was only right that someone pay him a visit."
Satoshi had laughed in return to his own minor joke replying with, "Den of indestructibility. Whatever they're called these days." He chuckled again. The Vizard had nodded to the man's explanation of the shop in return, but his focused was on something else. The phone. He didn't see this as the type of guy to be very connected to a human lifestyle, even with the shop that he apparently had. He was a bit curious as to why he would have pictures of other individuals.
He pointed briefly at the phone with his head. "Photos of some of your hunting targets?" 'Toshi knew it was most likely something entirely different, but he didn't want to ask in a way that seemed too intrusive. But as the conversation went on, his mind had forcefully shifted to focus on something he never thought he would have looked a second time at. The hollow had apparently had been known for 'rape' and inflicting pure fright for the sake of pure fright...he was filth. After Gage had finished talking, Satoshi's mind had went numb for an instant..and then flicked back to life. Only this time he was different. Satoshi's eyes dimmed into a grim look of sorrow, veins becoming more apprent in them. The eyes of a killer.
"I see.." Satoshi started walking toward the window that the hollow way laying under inside the building. His right hand came up from his pocket and clasped to his sword.
"Well I don't think that I could call it that," even in his mind it did hold a sense of solitude, the depth of the actual lab being over 250 meters below ground. Gage is a little surprised by his interest in his phone and some of the photos in it. "Who her?" Gage flips back until he gets to the photo of his girlfriend. "No, that is my girlfriend. Got to have some time to get away from work. If you spend too much time in it then it will burn you out."
Gage follows the Shinigami, watching him as his demenor goes from friendly to rather hostile over the soul at his feet. "Whoa now. I don't know what kind of rules they have where your from but where I come from stealing someone elses kill is grounds for fighting." Gage places a friendly hand on Satoshi's shoulder in an attempt to bring him out of the seeming rage that enveloped him. "Where he is going with me is what he deserves. You kill him now and he gets off easy. He caused a lot of pain in his time and deserves to pay for it." Gage had no intentions on fighting but if Satoshi reacted aggressively Gage would not be caught off guard. He only had one arm now and how would he explain losing it to his girlfriend? The last one was hard enough.
