The sun shone high in the sky, light piercing through between the trees and leaves as the Visored made his way deeper into the woods along the dirt path. Soon he would be going off-path, but until then, it was easier to stay with it. He heard the gentle chirping of birds, the sway of the leaves as a breeze passed through, the faint trickling of a stream some distance off the path to the right. It was a beautiful day; and what better day to make this hike? But it wasn’t just any hike, not today, no. He was on a mission, of sorts. See, he’d been hearing some rumors around town lately, especially in the circle of more hike-friendly people… he wasn’t much of a hiker himself, but he was certainly active enough for it, so he sometimes listened in on conversations spoken a bit too loud in public just in case something was off with certain hiking paths.
And there certainly was something off about this path.
From what he’d heard, occasionally hikers reported seeing a ‘ghost’ in the area somewhere along this path. Word had it that the sightings were increasing in frequency lately, but nobody seemed able to catch the spirit intentionally. Though it was probably a hoax, the rumor had found enough ground that the Visored, being a spiritual being himself and a bit of a self-styled supporter of all spiritual beings residing in Karakura Town and the surrounding area, decided to come out and check it out.
Chances were, it was probably a hoax, but the details of the rumor did seem to support it being about one of several spiritual races he’d come across in his time since leaving the Gotei.
“But why did it have to be so far out,” he said to himself. Granted, he could shorten the trek greatly by simply using his Sonido, but he felt like blending in and coming out in his Gigai… and if a normal human saw him flash stepping around, it would draw questions, and more rumors, and he would probably have to go into hiding for a while.
So no spiritual help.
He came to a split in the road, a pretty simple Y-shaped fork, but instead of following either path, he cut a 90-degree angle to the left and proceeded off-path entirely. Rumors placed all of the sightings within a decent range of a nearby crypt he’d read up on in some local guides. When he came upon it, he had a feeling he may have been right to come here after all; the crypt, rumored to have been sealed for centuries, was wide open. Graverobbers? Or someone… something… living there?
He casually walked up to the open crypt and knocked on the side of the circular hole where a large stone seal once was.

_____Anna was not exactly expecting company, so the sudden echo of someone asking if someone was home caused her to panic and fumble her hands while holding her cup noodles. Chopsticks clicked to the earth before the cup follow spilling the freshly made food and causing her to mumble to herself as she rose to stand up. Her attire was the same school outfit she kept a few of but mattered little as she started walking towards the entrance of the crypt still mumbling. Her nose twitching slightly as she tried to find out just who was trying to find her before annoyance turned to guarded and Reishi began to spiral around her feet.
”In all my years, i have never smelt mixed reiatsu outside human and hollow, now i am dealing with shinigami and human, and now hollow and shinigami… You must have had it rough considering your parents and the whole Shinigami against Hollow age old fighting…”
_____Anna was thankful to the crypt, her voice sounding much more mature and wise up until she was in sight range of the guest. Light shining off her frame showing she was not going to lower her defense any time soon, and the fact she looked like a middle schooler at best. But she still stood with pride and had the look of an older soul in her eyes as she waved her hand for the guest to follow. It was rude to turn someone down, and she hated talking in the daylight.
”You will have to forgive my guard being raised, i have been hunted for a fairly long time by the shinigami so half blood or not i do not fully trust their smell. Outside that make yourself at home, it ain’t much but long as you don’t destroy anything it won’t get much worse i guess.”
_____Anna waved her hand after they went down a slightly blocked off staircase and entered a room without a hole in the wall for any coffins, the unfished level of the crypt and her main home. The room itself was simple, a small generator powered the computer and heater, a pantry held her provisions, a small mat for a bed, and a dresser with her doll sitting calmly in his half asleep state. Closed eyes seemed to follow Hidane as her entered but it remained mostly still. Anna wasted little time to start heating a kettle of water on top the heater while getting out a new cup noodle midst moving the spilled food out of sight.
”So what brings you here, Shinigami decided purebloods chasing me was not enough and sent you? I’d rather not die or be forced to run… my new Manga chapters arrive sometime today at the post office and I’d like to read those before I die.”
{Techniques used}Name: Tokukonki (Protective Light Wall) Class: Reishi Technique Type: Defensive Tier: III Range: Self Description: This technique allows one to gather spirit particles into a tough shield that protects them from many kinds of attacks. There was no Reiatsu in this place, no signs of any spirits or life being here. The Visored let out a sigh, rubbing his head. So were the rumors false? Or maybe he was wrong about whatever it was originating here? Or maybe they were just out and he’d come at a bad time. But if they stuck around this area, wouldn’t he still be able to sense them… if not inside, then somewhere in the area? It seemed odd. Something was up here; either the rumors were false, it was a practical joke some human was pulling on hikers in the area, or…
He suddenly remembered something from a time shortly after he’d left the Gotei.
Maybe…?
Just as Hidane took a step to move deeper into the crypt, a voice echoed out from deeper within, out of sight. It was a soulful, soothing voice- which only made it more surprising when a little girl stepped around a corner into view. Hidane’s look of confusion and shock wouldn’t be easy to misplace. He couldn’t sense a drop of Reiatsu from her, which was odd, but somehow he doubted it was the same as Nessa’s situation. He straightened himself out, standing tall only a few steps inside of the crypt, as he listened to the girl speak.
“My parents…?” He thought for a moment, then a blank look crossed his face as he realized what she meant. He started laughing. “Right, my Reiatsu? Yeah, that’s… that’s not really how this works.” He straightened himself out again, clearing his throat, regaining his composure. “Though having Reiatsu like this does make life kinda difficult sometimes.”
Without introducing herself, the girl waved him on, inviting him further in. Odd. Though to say that in the spiritual realm of things you came across people with weird social tendencies would be an understatement. Wanting to investigate this place, this girl, further, he followed without question. They soon came to a room that was rigged with a computer and heater, stocked with some basic supplies and a small bed. Other than that, it was pretty empty and simple. Not exactly what one would expect from a crypt. So this little girl, whatever she was, was living out here all alone then, after all. As he’d thought when he’d heard the rumors, it was good that he came out to investigate.
“Oh, no, you’ll have no trouble from me. The Gotei’s been done with me for a long time now, and I don’t particularly care for their ‘hunt anything that isn’t like us’ mindset.” She was wearing a simple school uniform, which seemed even more out of place for a small girl living in a crypt away from town than anything else in the situation. The Visored took a seat at the computer, not so much as even glancing at the screen, keeping his eyes on the little girl.
Something smells off in here, Kurosenko’s voice rang in his head, keep your head up.
As if he didn’t already know that.
“So, you live all alone out here?” Hidane asked, genuine concern in his voice. “Seems awfully dangerous, especially if you have issues with Shinigami out on the hunt.” He paused for a moment, realizing neither of them had introduced themselves, really. “The name’s Hidane, by the way. Hidane Asuka Koga. And you are?”

_____Anna lowered her defense rather easily, while she was still on guard she knew it would be easy to set her technique back up without much trouble should the male be lying to her. Sitting down on her bed mat as she lightly yawned and listened to his words. She lived alone to avoid dragging others into her mess, and the crypt was the best hiding spot she found while still remaining close to the last rumor of the person she was searching for. It was not something she liked but at times when you feel alone it was best to seek out anyone even if they had a bad history of causing you trouble. Shaking her cup noodles for a moment before she pointed to the doll resting on the dresser.
”I’m not fully alone. Dungeon master there keeps me company for the most part, though at times he tries to kill me also but that’s just how he is. I live out here mostly because Shinigami rarely come out this way, and there was someone last scene in the towns nearby that I am searching for… Even though she is a very annoying women it could help ease my mind slightly knowing I’m not the last of my kind still fighting to stay existent.”
_____Anna rose to get the kettle off the heater just as it began to whistle and started to fill her cup noodles before returning to her seat on the bed. Dungeon slowly stood up yawning rather loudly before he moved to the bed and fell down like a lifeless doll again. Anna sighed before setting him on her lap and her food on the ground for the time it needed to cool while she pet his head. A small blush covered her face, most likely it looked like she was treating the doll like a real person, while he was the male likely did not know that or what race she even was.
”My only real question is why would you come out this way? As for my name, Anna… Anna Chase…”
_____Anna’s eyes blinked twice rather quickly when she said her last name before looking down to her food while moving the doll onto the pillow and covering him with a blanket. Hands getting her food while the other held chopsticks and she casually ate her food enjoying the taste. She was hunter, but that did not mean she would always feel like everyone wanted her dead. Looking to Hidane before she set her food down and held a new chicken cup noodle offering it and the kettle to him, if he took it she would point with her chopsticks to the cup that held more chopsticks in small bags or the plastic forks. It was rude to eat before someone without offering anyways.
The crypt was cold and dark; the young girl, if she was young at all, had set up some things to make it livable, but it was… possibly even more depressing than the warehouse, though that wasn’t saying much. An abandoned, falling-apart warehouse likely only kept standing by the Kido that Hachigen had put in place wasn’t much of a home to boast about, but the Visored hoped to find a more suitable location for his purposes in the near future. Maybe he’d find some way to run a place like the old man had set him up in… he wondered what condition that place was in anymore, anyway. He knew the old man had passed on in his twenty years drunk… but he hadn’t gone back to that place since then. At that point, he had packed up his things and moved back to the warehouse.
He watched as the doll on the girl’s dresser got up and moved to her. So her not being ‘fully alone’ meant that that doll had some kind of life to it; between not being able to sense her and that detail, it was ringing a few bells from something he’d read in the Gotei’s records ages ago, but the name wasn’t quite matching up.
He figured he would check there after he was done with this.
“A story.” Hidane said calmly, in response to her asking what brought him out this way; true, it was a pretty big hike out of town, and the paths leading straight to the crypt had long since been overgrown with plants and weeds. Any average hiker wouldn’t even notice them, making it a great place to hide out, but not very comfortable. “I heard a story from some hikers… quite a few, actually… of a certain ghost haunting the woods in this area. I make that kind of stuff my business, so I took it upon myself to take a trip out her myself.” He offered a friendly smile. “You don’t seem to be a ghost, per say, but it would seem they weren’t particularly far off either. A story like that, if it gets around far enough, will probably be picked up by a Shinigami on assignment, don’tcha think?”
He took the kettle for the cup noodles in his right hand, keeping his bandaged left arm at his side, and set the kettle aside. “I ate before I came here, but thanks for the offer.” He let his hands rest on his lap as he sat, wondering what her response would be to what he’d said. It was honest enough; he’d taken the usual routes he would take on extended assignments to the world of the living to listen for unusual stories, so it was not unlikely… almost certain, even… that eventually a Shinigami would pick up on the same stories.
Even if the first Shinigami or two they send aren’t powerful enough to deal with her, whatever she was, injured or missing Shinigami tend to lead to stronger Shinigami following up.

_____Anna was about to take the first few bites of her noodles when Hidane hinted a shinigami might come out this way to check the rumors, the comment made her lose her appetite and set her food down again with a light sigh. Her fist slowly clenched as she seemed to be angry under the surface. ”It’s not fair… They made us into this and the only cure they could come up with after seven hundred years is to kill us off? Where is the reason or justice in that… None of us asked to become these monsters, normal lives before they tore us from that…” Anna’s thoughts drew out some of her anger as she slammed her fist to her bed and showed some anger in her eyes for a brief moment.
”Sometimes Shinigami truly anger me… I don’t take pride in my own race… but hunting us down like exotic beast after they made us and can’t return us to normal lives is far to cruel… No matter how many years I live I can’t find a way to revert the process either and with no knowledge over what exactly caused it…”
_____Anna’s face turned sad as she looked down at her noodles, the small cuts of carrot, corn, and peas bobbing in the water before they sank down. It was like watching her race slowly go out of existence all over again. So many she tried to save only to find them dead later because they made a scene again. Her lips slowly parting to sigh before she picked her food up again and sighed lightly yet again before she managed a weak smile. Hands moving chopsticks to her mouth as she lightly blew on her food before eating it.
It seemed his comments had made the ‘young’ girl angry. That hadn’t been his attention, but it was good to see… to some extent, anyway. Though he didn’t want to upset her, it told him the idea of the Shinigami coming here upset her. If she thought she might be in danger here, it was all the more likely she would hear him out. It felt awfully… manipulative. But it wasn’t without reason; what he was doing was for her protection, and by no means was he going to attempt to force her to see things his way. She was free to do as she pleased, and if that aligned with his own plans, great; if not, so be it.
After all, it wasn’t an army he was building.
Is it not?
“I couldn’t agree more. The Shinigami can be very cruel in their actions. They create things, deem it unworthy, and then attempt to wipe away any trace of its existence. What they don’t understand, they slaughter. If they feel that something other than themselves could become a threat, they lock it away or attempt to destroy it.” He paused for a moment, clasping his hands together. His face betrayed some of his own emotions; the ways of the Soul Society made him sick. His true goals, the goals he wanted to reach in the end, were still a long way off, and he couldn’t be sure he would ever come close to them. Someday, he would try to start the reform on that level… but it would take a lot of work first. “It makes me sick. They’d rather destroy their own creations rather than find a way to eliminate the things that make them ‘wrong’. They don’t even question it.”
He stopped again, taking a deep breath. Opening his eyes again, one red and one a blank white sheet, the scar over his right eye glimmering in the soft light, he looked to the girl. Surely she was a Bount; all the details were lining up with details he’d read up on in the Gotei a long time ago, and he’d met another of her kind briefly, after he’d been exiled.
“Anna, what it is you want most in life? How do you want to live?”

”What I want most in life… That line was from one of those newer Television shows… or was it desired…?”
_____Anna was avoiding the question, she knew exactly what she wanted most in life but saying it often made people try to kill her. She sought death after finding her peace of mind. She had caused so much trouble and pain in her lifetime because of what she was turned into and never forgot a face or name of those that died when she could not stop herself from eating a soul any longer. It was a harsh fate in her eyes, and one she wished for no one to suffer from like she had, immortality’s price was far to cruel.
”That is a rather heavy question to ask someone you only know the name of Hidane Koga. Most don’t know what they want more in life until their final moments.”
_____Anna moved her hands to get her noodles to eat finally, her attempts to avoid the response to the question drawing out some hunger. She did not need to blow on her food like she normally did but the added time wasted was perfectly fine as she slowly slurped some of the noodles. Her eyes told she knew what she wanted in life, but to explain it might case Hidane to avoid or attack her. But if her waited out her eating she would lightly sigh before setting the cup upside down along with the chopsticks on top of it before looking to him.
”What I want most in life in a peaceful conscious before I close my eyes for good. I have cause so much trouble because I can’t control or correct what I have become… Lives ended, families torn, parents losing their children all to keep myself alive... Even after I made a oath to stop…”
Hidane sat patiently as she avoided the question at first, but slowly seemed to come around to it. Perhaps he’d been a touch too straight-forward, but it was how he always was; always striving forward, never wasting time. He gleaned what information he needed, the rest was not a priority. Should this little meeting go well, there would be time to talk about their lives and what their favorite food was later; right now he only needed to know where she stood, what she wanted… what kind of person she was at the core. He watched her reactions carefully, though not so much that it would be apparent should she be observing his demeanor too.
“And yet, it is knowledge that most seem to strive for their entire lives,” the Visored made a quick response when she commented on the bluntness of the question. Then, he continued to listen to her response.
“The fact that you feel regret for it says a lot about who you are.” It said everything he needed to know. “Those lives were lost, but not without reason. One shouldn’t feel ashamed to do what they must to keep themselves alive. It is not your fault that they lost their lives; if anyone deserves the blame, it would be the ones who made you this way.” He stood, casually letting his hands slide into his pockets. “If you want to have a clear conscience, then live. Live and continue searching for a way to make things different, to make things better. That’s how I move forward… how I don’t lose myself.”
That’s rich, coming from you, Kurosenko’s voice rang out in his head, teasing but with an edge of real malice, the one who chose to become a monster. How do you justify the lives you’ve taken? The lives you’ll take?
By doing all I can to right the wrongs I’ve done, and make peace with what I am.
“It’s dangerous to go it alone in this world, when you have pasts and natures like ours. You are a Bount, then, no? You consume souls to live, but you feel regret for it and wish to make things right. I am half Hollow, a monster in human skin, but I still do all I can to right my wrongs, and that might come in the future.” He paused for a moment, watching Anna’s reaction. “Soon I’ll have a place where those like us can live in peace, without needing to be pushed out of civilization, where we can work together to right our wrongs and, I hope, someday bring about some change in the world, for the better.
If you’d like, there would certainly be a place for you there.”

_____Anna felt slightly uneasy that Hidane knew her race, left hand tapping her lowest rib quickly for a few moments while her face remained blank. She struggled to show emotions but knew fairly well she used gestures to show them, telling others was not exactly her plan either. Moving herself to stand up stretching her legs carefully to stay some distance from Hidane before her nose cringed. Eyes slowly shifted towards the entrance to the crypt while her doll stood up and began walking over to her side.
”Fate seems to not favor that place you spoke of, or me joining… What you speak of sounds truly heart warming for a old soul, but the things I have done and could do are far too much a risk to be kept with others… Zeige Dich.”
_____Anna’s doll began to grow and change from the stuffed doll into a fairly tall human that mirrored his doll shape. His blue and green eyes each looked cold and merciless as he looked to Hidane smiling with a crooked twist. Slowly turning his gaze to Anna before attacking his master. His right leg moving upward aiming to hit the back of her neck and send her flying towards the wall with the amount of force he was using against her.
_____But, even without someone to save her the kick would clash with a wall of light as Anna sighed lightly waving her hand to de-summon the doll who growled in his shrunken form. ”Why do I even try to give him a chance… All he has done is try to attack every time… Maybe next time I guess…” Anna moved her hands behind her back before moving towards the stairs to the surface, her expression was slightly worried as she kept picking up the smell of Shinigami. It was hard for her to make out the number but she could tell two minimal had been approaching quickly.
”Sadly Shinigami want me dead rather much so… The vital flaw with being presumably the last living bount I would assume… Maybe this time I can find peace…”

As he watched the scene unfold, more and more information about the Bounts that he’d read of so long ago came back from the depths of his memory. Quite useful, all that reading he’d spent decades on in the Gotei was turning out to be these days. But as Anna brought her Doll out into its full form, it seemed to turn on her and attack her. She blocked the attack, and promptly sealed it away; though it was a curious sight, regardless. He wondered just how unstable she was. But even so, she still sought to redeem herself, to right her wrongs, and above all else those were the kinds of people she was looking for. As long as she was looking to that future, he wouldn’t give up so easily.
“It seems your ‘partner’ there isn’t very friendly or cooperative, is he?” Hidane said, gesturing towards the Doll. “I would like to make clear, the dangers you could present will not be an issue. I will be taking every precaution to make sure this place is safe for all, including you… and those you might come to harm unintentionally. If nothing else, it would be a place away from this solitude for a time, and if it is not to your liking, nobody will make you…”
His words were cut off as he sensed the sources of Reiatsu coming from outside. One, two, three… well, this was quite the way to say hello, wasn’t it? A rather large band of Shinigami to be sending after an unknown so-called foe. “It would seem as though we’re not alone.”
The Visored turned towards the exit of the room, wrapping himself in Reiryoku that hid him from sight and all other senses as he approached the entrance of the crypt. Looking out across the small opening in front of the open crypt, five Shinigami walked out from the woods beyond. No armbands suggested any rank, but five trained Shinigami could still prove an unpleasant fight to someone who wasn’t ready for it.
“You can live out here, alone, if you want to. I won’t force anything on you.” He began walking out of the crypt. “What I offer is simply whatever protection I… we… can provide, and people to spend your time with, if you wish, while you pursue your own goals.” He walked between two of the Shinigami, turning and resting against one of the trees to watch the scene unfold, though none present would be able to see him to note such in the first place. The Shinigami would be completely unaware of his presence, only that of a mysterious being they were sent to hunt.
So, what will you do, then?

_____Anna had to admit watching someone vanish from sight and detection still cause her to be puzzled, the moment she spent wondering how cost her time to get ready for the shinigami approaching but not so much stop her approach towards them. Her feet echoed as she emerged from the entry with her hands rose over her head and a blank expression over her face. Five shinigami and a wild card hybrid, today was turning into a rather bad day for her as she stopped her approach and watched them circle around her carefully.
_____Dane would likely notice her eyes had not remained that still since she emerged, iris darting around as she gathered details about each person wondering and thinking about what might happen and how to react. She had well over five hundred years of fighting under her belt but only had so much strength and power within herself. Not to mention she could not trust Dungeon to aid her leaving her assumingly six versus one in worst case scenarios. The first Shinigami to speak took a step forward holding a small device that began to beep lightly.
”If you get on your knees we will kill you swiftly, if you resist you will die a rather painful death bount…”
_____Anna watched the speaker closely, each motion and breath he took had a part of story she would gather and make into a book on how to best him without violence. When they began to close in around her however she did not take it that well moving her hand to her sides and causing them to take a slight step back. She could smell the shift in their reiatsu, frame quickly spun a near half circle drawing her hands from her hip as a katana made from spare soul particles form in her hand and clashed with the downward strike of the first shinigami.
_____Her action drew the others to advance with weapons drawn, her frame slouching slightly as she moved her left hand away from the weapon waving it through the air carefully to begin setting the field she would need for this fight. Soon she had a small arsenal drifting around her frame consisting of nine additional Katana moving carefully within five meters of herself as she pushed the shinigami away and allowed her held weapon to join the others.
_____Her control over the area did not stop with her floating weapons as Reishi coated the twenty five meters around herself and her Left hand waved upward slightly. It was not that much of a dramatic motion but as the Shinigami tried to step forward their feet slung out causing them to over step and lose balance. Two Katana quickly drifted towards them, the hilts slapping their weapon hands in a light attempt to disarm them peacefully during the recovery time. Two managed to recover without losing their weapons and quickly advanced towards Anna who could only sigh, her first motion failed.
_____Blades clashed with blades, Anna’s hands waving slowly to illustrate two of her weapon to block each incoming attack and push them away from her location. She soon had to make a entire new plan as her focus caught sight of the three others retrieving their blades. It was only a window as small as a second or two that worry crossed her face before she had a plan redrawn and ready for use, hands falling to her sides and the weapons each fell to the ground and she allowed them to approach her.

Hidane remained leaning against a tree, his being not casting so much as a shadow or sound to alert anyone to his presence as the first Shinigami announced their intentions. So, the Shinigami had come intentionally after all… not that it wasn’t obvious. Why else would there be five? To send five right off the bat seemed odd, but then he thought about it; they’d probably scanned the area and not found anything, and thus assumed it was a Bount. Perhaps Bounts were higher priority on their kill list than he’d previously thought. Just like Soul Society, always wanting to cover up their messes, by killing anything that proved it had existed in the first place.
But still, the Visored only leaned against the tree and watched as they approached. The little Bount drew a katana seemingly from thin air as the first moved to strike, and the rest moved in as a response, but the Bount pushed them back and disarmed some of them. It was a temporary measure, though, as, predictably, the Shinigami rearmed themselves and made ready to strike again. The Bount’s blades dropped, and the Shinigami moved forward. Was she giving up? He doubted it, or at least he hoped not, but just in case, he raised his right hand, Reiryoku gathering behind his cloak, ready to make his move if she were to show that she was choosing death.
He hoped she wasn’t.

_____Anna might have wished for death but as the got within striking range she did not feel at peace with this end, and would act to avoid a non peaceful demise. Fingers waved slightly at her sides as each blade began to shake before rising from the ground slowly to avoid alerting the group as best she could. Hair slowly began to glow faintly forming a rainbow of color as eyes glowed to match the changing colors of her hair that signaled she was still going against them. Hidane would likely get to witness the fighting style like so many, of the strategist who refused to truly harm anyone or let harm befall any. The bount who wished for a truly peaceful world, the protector.
_____Her motions that followed flowed with both experience and practice, she was no stranger to getting attack by groups of enemies. Right hand rose quickly slamming open palm against the hilt of the first shinigami, slowly gripping his hand and throwing him into the air with relative ease consider her size, Reishi tugging parts of his robes visible to reveal how she could manage the feat. She had no time to fully follow her action through, Reishi simply moving him after she let go and slammed her right palm into the stomach of the next attacker while Reishi pushed him back also. Her blows seemed very weak, and her eyes clearly showed that it was taking everything to make sure she did not harm them.
_____Left leg moved off the ground while right lowered to drop her frame to dodge the remaining three strikes. Reishi pulling the weapons upward and away from cutting the other shinigami as they got close to harming their comrades. Her weapons darted over blades piercing the loose fabrics and tugging the shinigami apart as Anna kept waving her left fingers to control them easier. Left leg settled on the ground as she rose back to stand and look at the recovering enemies, the leader looking annoyed causing Anna to look unease, if he got reckless it would make her job harder.
”Just kill her already, she is just a little kid!”
_____A small vein popped on Anna’s head for a brief moment, eyes glowed with pure anger in the same moment before she forced herself to calm down. She hated those words so much and it was truly hard to restrict herself from lecturing the boy about respecting his elders. Left hand waved slowly to recall her weapons into a close circle with blades facing the ground. Eyes moved between each foe as she noticed a spike in their aura and instinctively rose her arms over her face. Each enemy unleashing a small bolt of energy causing smoke to cloud Anna’s location. ”Ok now they are getting harder to deal with… Guess I have to change gears…”
_____As the smoke drifted away Anna stood firm and untouched, her weapons breaking slowly as she lowered her arms and turned her frame towards their leader. Each shinigami moved closer to him, her mind clicking slowly before a small smile rose on her face. Right hand slowly rose before beckoning the group to advance, it was a risky strategy but from her small information about the group so far this was her best move towards a peaceful resolution. But it also could lead to someone getting injured in the best case of that scenario.
{Techniques used}Name: Spirit creation Class: Soul absorption Tier: I - III Type: Offensive / Defensive Range: Self Description: A small trick with a wide range of uses. Using the souls harvested the user can create weak tools or objects. This could range from a hardcover book, a baseball, or things more useful in combat like a dagger, katana, hammer etc. These constructed weapons are only equal in strength to the tier they are made from and can not be larger than the caster making the items. With those in mind the only remaining limit is the crafters imagination. Tier II last eight post, Tier III last seven post before the skill must be reused. Items are created at Half-bala speed.
Name: Magic shell Class: Reishi technique Tier: I - III Type: Defensive Range: Self Description: Using Reishi from the air the user forms a skin tight layer of defense to help defend against attacks both spiritual and physical. While this is active the caster's hair and eyes seem to glow with a rainbow of color. This defense can range from Tier I to Tier III without need for cool down post.
Name: Danze (Dance) Class: Reishi Technique Type: Supplementary Tier: II Range: 25 Radial Meters Description: Blanketing the area with reishi, the user can alter the density of the air, changing how anybody, caught within the range of the technique, moves. The user can make the reishi cooperate in a sense with the opponent, forcing their movements to become imbalanced, or force the opponent to put more effort into simple movements such as dodging or walking.
Name: Festhalten (Grip) Class: Reishi Technique Type: Supplementary Tier: II Range: 30 Meters Description: By tampering with the Reishi around an object, one can hold a telekinetic-like control over it; allowing them to use multiple weapons at the same time without hampering their prowess as a weapon wielder. Objects are tossed at bala speeds.
Cold eyes watched as the fight continued; Anna was holding her own, to some extent, but at this rate it was only a matter of time before she tired and they overwhelmed her. Or perhaps she was holding back her power to avoid killing them… ideal, but it wouldn’t get her very far if she had no way to deal with the situation otherwise. Hidane pushed off from the tree and began walking a wide circle around the fight, invisible to sight and senses still; he watched closely as the outer two Shinigami muttered something under their breath, and disappeared from sight and sense as well. Using Kido to try to ambush her, then. The other three began inching forward, blades drawn, the leader with a confident smirk on his face. He believed he’d already won.
The two Shinigami reappeared behind Anna, mid-leap and poised to strike with little to no time for Anna to respond, but Hidane threw out his hand. Two blades fell toward Anna… then fell to the ground at her sides as the two Shinigami fell past her on either side, unconscious even before their faces smacked against the soft earth below. The leader’s face quickly turned, but it would only be a moment before the two other Shinigami at his side fell unconscious as well, and then he himself, all five lying on the ground, breathing but unlike to wake any time soon. It was only then that Hidane reappeared, only as his Reiryoku cleared the air to signifying the end of his technique.
“They’re alive,” Hidane spoke calmly, “though I’m not sure when exactly they’ll wake up. I usually use this technique under rather… different circumstances.” He walked towards Anna, stopping when there were only a few meters between them. “I’m sorry, I didn’t expect them to find this place so soon. It’s possible even that they traced my Reiatsu here. Such was not my intention.”

HOVER FOR TECHNIQUE(S) USED
NAME: Masui [Deep Slumber] CLASS: Hollow Technique TIER: I TYPE: Binding RANGE: 20 Meters DESCRIPTION: After having encountered multiple Shinigami infected with Hollow Reiatsu as he once was, Masui is a technique that Hidane developed to suppress the target's Reiatsu to extremely low levels, causing them to fall unconscious. He primarily uses this technique to indirectly induce Hollowfication in a Shinigami in the process of becoming a Visored. Rendering the victim's Reiatsu so low makes it far more likely for the Hollow to begin to take over, thus initiating the Visored Trial; this technique does not directly induce Hollowfication. However, initiating Hollowfication is not the only use for this technique. This technique requires that Hidane be completely focused, and thus it cannot be used in combat. The use of this technique, on an infected Shinigami or otherwise, requires OOC consent of the person RPing the target.

”It was only a matter of time before they found me. I do thank you for helping me out of that situation.”
_____After seeing the five fall down Anna doubted she could deal with Hidane if he attack her, but at the same time she could not help a smile to cross her face and a few tears to start building in her eyes. People aiding her was not exactly a common thing for the bount and it filled her with hope that maybe there was a way to stop the conflict. Her focus moved to the skies before she walked towards her crypt with a slightly heavy expression. Something in the air felt off, a tension she knew fairly well.
”A storm is brewing it seems… Not in the clouds but between the spiritual forces… The fact I might be sensing it from such a remote place signs this might be a war I will die in… If I live Hidane Asuka Koga, I’ll do what I can to help you reach what you wish for. But for now it seems this old strategist must prepare for a fight... and to move…”
_____Anna turned slowly, her eyes glowed with a different light, If Hidane had met people who lived through wars he could read that from her eyes. This would not be the first large battle Anna had been thrown into, and while she always prepared to be the last she would fight to make sure she could achieve peace before she let someone end her life. She had so much work to get done before hand, the first was training herself back up to a reasonable power, and the second was moving to a more central location to the war to prepare for it and avoid getting another Shinigami visit. Her abilities fading slowly as she turned and went to go get her things.
As Hidane approached, Anna delivered a rather level-headed thanks for his assistance, but the smile that crossed her face warmed his heart and melted the cold exterior he’d put on for the last few minutes, a smile that showed just a bit more of her than he’d seen before. He smiled genuinely in return, dropping the self-indulgent, prodding attitude he’d had before. Hands slipped into his pockets as she mentioned the war brewing; he wondered if it was a mere instinct she felt, perhaps having to do with her ability to manipulate Reishi, or if she knew as much as he did, or more, of the matter. Either way, he couldn’t say she was wrong; there was definitely something brewing, and bloodshed to be seen on the horizon. But, with any luck, that was another day, another week, however long it could be away.
He hoped she would gain the strength to live through it all.
“Well, then, it’s been a pleasure meeting you, Anna Chase. I hope you live through the troubles to come.” He offered a light bow, bringing a small card out of his right pocket and handing it to the Bount. “My doors will always be open should you feel to make your home there.” With that, he would remain until she returned to her crypt, presumably to gather up her things to move somewhere else, now that this location had been compromised. If she didn’t take the card, he would simply leave it on a ledge inside the crypt. The card simply had information about the building he was working out of and contact info on it, however laced along one edge of the front of the card was Reiryoku in a pattern that spelled out Tillhora; to belong.
Once again he disappeared from sight and sense, and retreated to the woods beyond. He would remain in the area until Anna cleared out, watching to incapacitate the Shinigami once more should they reawaken, or should reinforcements arrive. Once she was well and gone, his Sonido would take him back towards the city.

_____Anna would make sure to take the card before she went back into the crypt. However when she emerged she did not seem to have much with her. Her doll was resting in one arm and that was all she brought out. Free hand waving to form two hammers before she used Reishi to send them spinning into the supports of the Crypt to make it cave in and she simply watched recalling everything she had gone through while living there before turning to each Shinigami and kneeling down whispering to them lightly.
_____She hoped it worked, the faint words laced with Reishi to hopefully make the enemy think they had ended her life, she was not the original user of the technique or well versed to even say she fully knew how the other bount had swayed people’s minds in their sleep. But she gave her best shot and looked the card over while walking away. ”Maybe I should live in some caves… that way I can easily expand them and make some escape routes…” Standing at the edge of the clearing to give one last look of her old home now covered by rocks and smoke before deep in the crypt her heater was destroyed.
_____Turning around once more to leave the area, she was going to spend a few weeks just staying mobile and likely training for the approaching danger. She needed to be ready and it honestly pained her that she was considering the worst this time around. She used to be the most optimistic about their battles but always said what she could assume was the worst case while still coming out on top. But with no idea who she was up against or what, she could only focus on herself, eyes closing and heart guiding her for the time being.
