The soft clatter of wooden sandals could be heard through the modest shrine entrance. Around the entrance, the trees shook in the gentle breeze as the bells attached to them cried out in soft and soothing notes. As the wooden click clack grew closer, the young man whos body was using them began to say a prayer. His lips washed over the words and allowed them to come naturally to them. He had said the prayer many times in his life. A voice peaked up in his mind and soul as he passed by the few shrine attendents unseen. “Moeru, do you honestly think it wise to waste time visiting these Human Shrines? Do you not have better things to do?”
The small boy chuckled as the lark rainbow colored peacock manifested ina way that only he could see laying over Moerus should. “Now now Tengen, there is no need for that. We are well ahead of your predicted time table for my goals. We should allow us time to relax and keep our spirits up.” He smiled softly as he let his hand move the large prayer bells. The shrine maiden nearby looked at the spinning bells, wondering what did that as he kept walking forward. “Besides… These places are often places of great importance… Hollows and other Brigands will be sure to try to damage it somehow.” He says as he takes a seat infront of the shrines center piece and bowed low as he said yet another prayer.
Grieving. Mourning. She really didn't understand why people were caught up with it. These days, death was a daily occurrence. She'd killed a fair amount of people the past weeks. She moved her way up to the stairs, looking at the shrine. Then why was she here? Why did she put in the effort of leaving the cesspool of Naruki city, to visit a relatively peaceful shrine in the quiet and sleepy town of Karakura? She rested her foot on the top of the stairs, staring at the place these japenese folk prayed at. For wealth, luck in the future, well being. All of it.
Yeong took a deep breath. Why, after all these years, had she not forgotten? She saw the faces of so many people she killed. And she was well aware they had families. People who awaited their return home. And she, she wasn't one of those; none were waiting for her. So, what right did she have to take someone away from their families?
She shook her head bitterly. No need to be caught up. She wasn't here to repent her murders or try to pray for someone to accompany her through life's hardships. Without a word, she moved towards the shrine, glancing down at the boy that was already praying. A shiver crawled down her spine. Other people.
But regardless, she pressed her hands together, inclining her head slightly and closing the amber, feline eyes. The same cat like ears twitching slightly, before flattening against her skull.
No, all she wanted was a moment of silence. To repent Yeong-jun. Her mother, killed by her father. Normally, even the thought of her face was enough to trigger an emotional breakdown. But now, she felt oddly at peace. Sheltered, even. She found herself questioning whether it was the shrine. One of her eyes cracked open and she lowered her hands again, frowning. Definitely something she should remember, then.

The young boy finished his prayer and turned to the person who had arrived next to him. He smiled softly as he watched her pray. The small fan he had in his hand opened with a snap as he covered his mouth delicately. “Greeting, Naruki citizen. What brings you to this simple shrine?” he said softly as he turned to face them. “Do you wish for wealth? No…. you have no need of it…You are grieving, for someone you lost.” He said gently as he looked her over. She did not even have to tell him about herself. He could see it already. The hard childhood. Her deadly life. He bowed softly. “My name is Moeru Hiraishi. A pleasure to meet you here of all places. This must be a fated visit.” He said before lowering the fan. He holds out a hand smiling. “Let us say a prayer together for the person you lost. Shall we?” he said a gentle and measured smile on his lips. But inside he was calculating the odds that this could turn violent, and was working as best it could to find a way around that particularly dreadful ending to a otherwise wonderful day.

Her ears twitched as he spoke. Before they flattened against her skull. What? Her eyes widened as she took a step back. Her body language changed, from wary and cautious to aggressive. "Who are you?" She inquired in a rather bewildered manner, her hand reached up for her back as thick, black smoke slowly excreted from her eyes, a sleek, white katana forming in similair smoke that appeared behind her. She gripped the hilt of the floating blade, but kept it tear. Lowering in pose. Standing completely at a ready. While she didn't attack, it seemed more than obvious she was completely at a ready to charge forward and take Moeru's head in an instant.
"You know nothing," she spat, hatefully. A soft hiss left her, fanged teeth bared as her reiatsu flared violently. "I have no prayers to share with you," she snarled. "You don't even know her name!" She called out, taking a step back, away from Moeru. He knew nothing, not of her suffering. Not of her struggles or her duty. None knew of the stress that was put on her. This boy wasn't allowed to try and read who she was. He wasn't allowed to offer a prayer for her mother. This was no fated meeting. This was a sick way to confront her with her past once more.

The blade she held was beautiful. It echoed the tone of danger and fury coming from its owner. But it was an amazingly beautiful blade. “What a wonderful weapon you have. The design is elegant and clean. How marvelous.” the boy said, his 13 year old face not matching the tone of experience in his voice, but it accented his innocent tone. “It seems we started in the wrong mind set. Please, put your weapon away. Theres no need to fight someone of my weak caliber compared to you.”
He smiled softly and closed the fan fully and put it away. Moeru was often confronted by the more brash of society while in the slums of soul society. But he never lost his smile if he could help it. The wind blew and the bells chimed softly. “You are more than human, its clear to see that. But I wonder…. Are you Substitute…. Or are you a fullbringer.” He said as he gently removed a small badge from his uniform and handed it to her. “I myself am a Shinigami, However I hope this does not color our future interactions in any negative way.” He said making sure he appeared as non-threatening as possible.

Yeong hissed in response. "Shut up, baegchi" came her rather aggressive retort. She didn't care in the slightest what he thought of Dutiful Dignity. It was a tool to hurt, wound, maim and kill. She couldn't possibly fathom what was pretty about it. Wrong mindset? It was him who started to unravel her past, read her emotions and what not. And she didn't seem intent on putting the blade away at all, rather holding it up, close. Her reiatsu overflowing now. He admitted his weakness, that he was nowhere near her. That could mean two things, he was either waiting for back up, or he was lying. Boasting a power that rivaled or surpassed hers.
He started to speak again, the same breeze that caused the bells to chime slowly swaying the deep raven hair. More than human. Her ears twitched softly. More than human indeed. She was half fucking cat and all the negative traits that came with it. And she didn't even know why. She just took it as her being special. And other people were also special. Some were, at least. Substitute, fullbringer, shinigami. She looked down at the badge, flinching as he moved closer to allow her a closer a look at the badge. She took a step back again to preserve the distance between herself and Moeru.

Moeru smiled and laughed softly. He could see even more about her, how she kept equal distance to him. She was quite nervous it seemed. How… touching, that she thought him a tangible threat. Though, to be honest, he could possibly subdue her. He smiled softly and put the badge away as he turned away from her, walking a few feet away and then turning back. “You seem nervous, as though you picture danger at every turn. You’ve lived a hard life indeed…. So you are not human, nor are you sub shinigami. You’d recognize what I was if you were. So that leaves two options, Fullbringer…. Or quincy.” He said with a slight darkening tone.
“A fullbringer manifests their weapon from something close to them, a bond similar to that and a Shinigami and his Zanpakuto. A quincy however… typically uses a bow and arrow. And by the looks and feel of your spiritual energy, and by the design of your weapon...I doubt you’re a quincy.” He said with a smile. “So then the only question I have left is…. Why would a Fullbringer come all this way from Naruki, and don’t worry I guessed that from your clothing style, why come here.”
Post by YEONG-HUI GANGJEON on Mar 26, 2017 17:03:47 GMT
"Then what am I?" Yeong hissed her question. "And you know nothing of a hard life. Stop trying to understand. You can't," her teeth bared as she spoke. He looked happy. Undamaged. The frailty of her mind underestimated. She knew she was paranoid. That she suffered from severe PTSD. Every turn she took in life was met with severe mental suffering. There were days she wished she'd be choked out during her sleep. Days she wish she was just ran over.
Days that she looked at the pistol some of the rival gangs toted with desire. Despite all that, she survived. With a broken mind. Each and every day was a struggle.
And add to it that she heard whispering. When she wasn't paying attention, she heard a soft uttering. Words she couldn't make out. And from the corner of her eyes, shadows hustling and bustling. Moving on their own accord. That was when she snapped back to reality. And nothing more happened.
The boy kept ranting on over things she didn't know or comprehend. Manifesting a weapon? Shinigami, zanpakutou? What in the living fuck was a shinigami, what was a zanpakutou? She understood the words, barely.
And what even in the fuck could one tell from her clothing style? It wasn't a typical Naruki outfit. It was something she had taken all the way from Korea.

The wind blew once more as the young boy looked at the girl and looked her up and down, undressing and examining her spiritual energy with his eyes. He smiled to himself as he sent out a soft pulse of spiritual energy, using it to make the people of the shrine leave for a while due to an odd feeling. Once they were alone the fun would begin as he raised a hand and undid the clasp of the facial covering the kidoushi regularly wore. It fell over his arm as he caught it with practiced ease. The fabric wrapping itself into a smaller form as it fell.
“You speak with a rather significant lack of respect for the people who have passed. I thought by now it would have been obvious that I have no physical form.” He said softly, his pointed ears decorated with two small bells at the top of each one. He opened his eyes fully, showing the bright blue hues that he had hidden before with the facial cloth. The young boy smiled softly, but it wasn’t a kind smile, it the smile his aunt had taught him to hide his anger. “I wont argue with you that you have had the harder life. That’s evident by your mannerisms and body language.” Moeru placed a hand slowly on the small ceremonial dagger hilted at his side. There was a moment of silence as he pulled the blade free with a soft metal of wood noise. “However do not take that inexperience of hardship as an inexperience of life.” The smile faded into a stoic and displeased face. As he drew the blade fully.
”Moeru, what are you doing? This is… Unlike you.” a voice spoke that only Moeru could here, Tengen was concerned.
“You asked me what you were. I believe your exact words were then what am I? well allow me to restate what I already said.” A surge of spiritual energy filled the outside of the temple making every bell and chime sway as if a wind storm was being kicked up. ‘You have the distinct honor of standing above your average Human counterpart.” The wind storm picked up even more. “You are one of the few in this world who have the honor of being called ‘Fullbringer’!” the storm blew even wilder as the bells threatened to be pulled from their housing, but the area around Moeru was as still as could be. “I, on the other hand, am a Shinigami. So tell me Fullbringer, Can you feel the difference now? That I have unleased a portion of my power into the area, can you finally see things clearly?”

"Significant lack of respect?" Yeong questioned. Her reiatsu slowly, yet obviously started to rise. "What respect do you show for a grieving?!" She called out with her rather lacking japanese. The reiatsu slowly seeped into the shrine's grounds. By no means did Yeong know what was happening. But she knew that it was this boy's doing. And she knew this was a hostile move. Drawing his sword out completely only added to the judgement call she made then and there. "What IS A FUCKING FULLBRINGER?!" She finally cried out. She had no idea what his mad ravings about his powers were. Reiatsu flared, following her emotions. Slamming down on her before moving upwards, the torrent of black and white energy roaring loudly. "You... Piss me off... Just shut up," she spat.
One thing was obvious.
This was an issue. This was an attack. And she'd beat him to the punch. Yeong pulled Dutiful Dignity from her back and rushed forward, aiming to slam the blade down on Moeru. At the same time, another blade formed on her back. Fabled Dignity. Which was enourmous. She grabbed the hilt and followed her first strike with a second, slamming the massive nodachi down with increased strength, shattering the ground underneath.

The girl took his actions as hostile, but he just kept smiling. His hand moved softly as it rose to a position infront of him, the dagger in the hand shimmering. “Shine Brightly, Tengen Kujaku!” the wind swirled as a barrier of spiritual energy surrounded him, his technique barely had time to reach its full length. She was fast, he would give her that. But he had been trained by the Might Blod-Sama, his aunt. The barrier shimmered with a rainbow color as it bounced the force of her own techniques back on her. If she persisted to attack him, it would last as long as it needed to. With her current strength, she made a fitting sparring partner.
From above the young man, a magnificent sight could be seen, a peacock that shimmered with the colors of the rainbow. The peacock flew above the both of them for a moment before settling on Moerus shoulders. His eyes shimmering with the same brilliance as the birds. He didn’t speak, simply activating another one of his abilities and wordlessly casting the Bakudo he knew. He jumped up and above the girl, forming his fingers into three points as three golden beams shot from them to pin her to the ground. Breaking the beams off his fingers. He stood on the beams and looked down at her. “This is Kido. Bakudo to be exact.” He smiled softly as he pointed his fingers at her a crystal like structure forming before dissipating.
“I am still learning myself. But to answer your question… What you just felt is the power of a Fullbringer. That surge of power was your soul defending itself from the world around it. “Like all spiritually aware Humans, Fullbringers can sense the Reiryoku of other spiritual beings, such as Hollows, Shinigami, and other Fullbringers. However, they differ in that they each have a parent who survived a Hollow attack before they were born. As a result, traces of the Hollows’ power remained in their mothers’ bodies, which were then passed onto them at the moment of their birth. Consequentially, their powers more closely resemble a Hollow’s than those of a Shinigami, such as myself.” The young man stepped off the beams letting them disappear.
“Count yourself lucky, You are a creature with a soul strong enough to survive.” He smiled and offered his hand to her. “Dont go wasting it by starting pointless fights. I wasn’t starting one, I was diminstrating the difference in out spiritual energies.”

Her sword was slammed back with equal force, causing her to stagger back. But she didn't relent. Dutiful Dignity slowly dissipated in a thick smoke, reforming on her back again. She dragged the massive nodachi across the ground to slice him from his waist up to his head, but the shield once more obstructed her movements and caused another stagger, causing her to hiss in frustration. Before whincing as the bullet wound on her shoulder, as well as the stitches on her belly started to sting in pain, leaking out some blood. She still was in no condition to fight.
"I feel nothing," she spat, "Just shut up!" She called out as the yellow beams of light pinned her against the wall, where she struggled against, raging and shouting in anger against her restraints. Before she tensed up, her eyes widening. And she stopped her struggling. A soft shiver pulled through her as she stared at the floor, eyes agape and feline pupils diluted. She was frozen up completely. And as the shinigami stepped closer and extended his hand, she didn't respond to it. Rather, she was on her hands and knees, staring at the floor, her entire body shivering in a panic.

Moeru looked at the girl with a sadness and pity in his eyes. He simply left her there for a moment as he looked at her. “How unfortunante….So easily broken.” He walked over to her. “Even at this range my barrier will protect me. Now then…. “ he examined her body without touching her. As he noticed the blood pooling on her belly ever so slightly he smiled and collected a small sample on his hanckerchief. “You may prove useful yet dear girl….” He smiled at her. “You know… My aunt is always worried that ill…end up like Captain Mayuri… obsessed with learning hidden secrets. But I like to think of it as learning everything I can to give me an advantage.” He lifted her chin slightly. “Everyone always says life is like a game of cards. You never know what your going to get…. But I like to think of it more like chess.”
He let her head down as he stood up. “Every sample, every technique should and must be studied. Because if an enemy can do it….I want to as well.” He put the bloody cloth away. “Because little Full-bringer. The enemy has no advantage when I can do what they do.” He smiled and walked away heading to Naruki to cleanse any hollows.
