It was morning when it opened high in the sky. A black void could be seen in the sky only visible to those who have spiritual power. A few seconds past as something could be seen moving within the hole. As time past, it could be seen getting clearer and clearer. The form was that of a ball with tentacles coming from it in three separate locations. Four eyes could be seen, one large eye that took up most of it's body and four smaller ones above the larger eye. This monster was called Vai'koku, an Adjuchas class Menos. As it floated past the void known as a garganta, it's eyes peered outwards towards the city.
Vai'koku was deep in thought as the tear in the sky closed behind it. It was wondering where the library was located as it floated towards the ground. Like always, it felt weaker here due to a lack of reishi in the air. It could feast on the souls of the living, but most of the souls of the living tasted like garbage mixed with literal dog shit and left out in the sun in the middle of summer. Suffice to say, the Adjuchas wasn't interested in feasting on them. The Hollow came to the World of the Living, for one thing and one thing only, to nerd out within one of the many libraries of the world.
The Tentacle Monster, floated through the streets ignoring the humans walking on the sidewalks, and driving in the cars. It wondered if it should cause some trouble to attract a shinigami or quincy to devour, but it wasn't suppressing it's reiatsu so they would come to it eventually. Soon the beast had found what it was looking for, it was outside of the Karakura Town's main library.

Eeeeek! What the hell was that thing!? Lori had just got off for lunch at school and had easily left the school compound to come into town to buy some tasty noodles. But only five or so minutes after buying her ramen and slurping most of it down, getting an inconvenient stain on her jacket in the meantime, did she see something super gross right by the library. A hollow!? It was even uglier than normal hollows. She felt her soul-circuitry kick in and didn't even attempt to fight it, her reiatsu kicking into overload. Throwing the remains of her noodles away, she ventured into an alleyway where, with a flash of light, she transformed, her dull grey school uniform swapped for an orange crop-top shirt, and an orange miniskirt complete with petticoat. Whoeever had designed Lori, she decided, had been a bit of a pervert.
Now sufficiently transformed, Lori raced back towards the library, where the creature was hanging out, pretty nonchalantly. She shuddered. It was so creepy and weird. And... Tentacle-y. She would have to make categorically sure to avoid those damn things. She buzzed with energy as she stepped in front of it, directly in its path.
"Stop right there, hollow!" she said, fists clenched. "Prepare to be exterminated!" she yelled, running towards it, going on the offensive.
{Spoiler}Name: The Equivalence Principle Class: Soul Release Tier: II Type: Supplementary/Passive Range: 50m Description: This technique uses Einstein's equivalence principle; which states that a gravitational field is indistinguishable from a uniform acceleration. Opponents within 50m of Loretka will find themselves slowed by a 2x speed debuff relative to her, however against other opponents within the AoE they won't be affected.

Feel the light
shining in the dark of the night
Vic was bored, but when wasn't he. He dangled his legs from the top of some apartment rooftop and watched ash drop the ten or so stories to the ground. 'Why can't anything cool ever happen?' He'd spent the last few weeks hiding, kinda scared of his newfound Rouge status.
He was about to leave when something weird happened. Some vortex opened in the sky and plopped out this nasty looking tentacle beast. Victor was fairly certain it was hollow, that or something from MST3000. Intrigued he made his way back down to the Street and followed the strange sight.
When he finally got down to the blacktop he saw the hollow wandering down the street, floating around and not bothering the humans in any way. "Now this is what I'm talking about!" Finally something exciting was happening.
He followed it for a while as it searched for something but he was starting to get bored. He wasn't someone known for their long attention span, so he decided to do something much more dangerous than stalk it.
Vai floated towards the library and was halfway through the wall when it felt gravity grow more pronounced in the area, slowing it down. Turning, it saw a curious meatbag running towards it shouting something about being exterminated. Vai'koku would usually ignore the meatbags that could see it. The Adjuchas slowly floated out of the library. "Meatbag, I do not wish to engage in combat with you. I am here only to engage in my favorite past time, which is reading. Good day," it had said before starting to turn around to head back into the library.
It saw no reason why it should engage in combat with the teenaged female that showed too much skin. It did not know the reason behind fashion like that, but it wanted to go back to what it wanted to start doing. That was when it heard someone calling it calamari, it could feel the voice coming from what it felt as a shinigami. Sighing, it stopped and stared straight at the shinigami that had appeared.
The situation appeared that it would have to defend itself. The Adjuchas waited patiently before speaking once more, "like I said to the female Meatbag, I do not wish to engage in combat today. I arrived in the world of the living to engage in intellectual endeavors. Good day to you." With that said, Vai'koku waited for their move. It did not wish to engage in combat, but it would defend itself with initially non-lethal measures should they attack the adjuchas.

Lori ignored what the hollow had to say. Hollows knew no logic. No reason. No kindness. They were ravenous monsters, designed to do nothing more than eat and kill and destroy the precious lives of humans. These facts were so deeply engraved upon Loretka's artificial DNA that it was a core aspect of her identity. So it didn't matter, there was nothing that it could say that would dissuade her from her course of action. One thing that was a little more worrisome, however, was the sudden appearance of the shinigami. If she was apprehended... That would not be a happy ending for her. However she was committed to her course of action now, and even if she wanted to disengage from the hollow, she would not be able to.
She activated her powers and not especially caring for inconspicuousness; the shinigami could deal with that later, picked up a nearby four-by-four car, and threw it, at half the speed of a bala, at the hollow. The gravitational flux enabled her to accelerate the car rapidly at its big dumb eye, hopefully hitting it for a fair amount of damage. She didn't want to get too close to those tentacles and was also weary of the shinigami. While she didn't imagine the hollow and the shinigami ganging up against her she was also not so aware of how much the shinigami would be prepared to work with her either.
Name: Gravitational Telekinesis Class: Soul Release Tier: III Type: Offensive/Defensive Range: 30m Description: Loretka is able to apply gravitational fields in order to generate constant forces upon any person or object within this technique's range. She can make things move at speeds of up to half the speed of a bala.

feel the light
shining in the dark of the night
Alex watched as this strange girl picked a car up, presumably with her mind, and just chucked it at the beast. As far as he could tell she was a mod soul, one of those experimental one with powers apparently. He figured that if she was part of the Society she might be here to get him, but he didn't sense another shinigami nearby so he weighed his options and decided the hollow was a more important target. Jumping out of his gigai he stood there, clad in the boring robes he hated so much.
Drawing Suki out from its scabbard he shrugged at the beast. "Sorry man, I wasn't really gonna do anything til she started so, blame her." He looked over at the girl and shouted "I ain't got no beef, but after we get rid of this thing I ain't going back!" Victor leapt into the air, clearing over civilians, and landing on the top of some shiny silver truck.
Alex held his Zanpakuto in both hands and held it high in the air. He whispered to himself “WATASHI O HOZON, SUKUINUSHI!” as his blade burst into a brilliant and blinding light.
Silence prospered greatly from Jack’s endeavours for peace. A place where none may bother his reading was proclaimed as sanctuary however there were those who apparently thought otherwise. Strange, mystical, forces arose from outside grasping his attention. Something felt weird anyway, kind’a like an event Jack really didn’t understand at all last week. The area inside felt colder than should be and it felt as though something was creeping up his spine. Hearing some noise coming outside Jack tried ignoring it. He was dressed in his favored attire of blue jeans and a long sleeve shirt with a white body and blue sleeves with white velcro shoes. He pulled his glasses down and turned towards the door. Whatever it was needed to shut up. He wanted to finish his research on Japan’s version of Excalibur.
With book tucked under left arm he opened the door only to see a car flying across the street. His melancholic expression remained stagnant, only blinking for a moment. ”Um.” Closing the door he remained inside for a moment before shaking his head. Did a car just…No, no. He was seeing things. Opening door again he went outside only seeing a single person in the street, a cute girl wearing a short skirt. Oh hey, she had a cute stomach. "dunno who she is, but i want it."[/orange] [/justify]
It's words were ignored by both the female and male fleshlings, sighing it watched as the female threw a vehicle at the adjuchas with her mind. With a mighty swipe of one of it's tentacles it bashed the car away from it sending it towards the otherwise unnoticed human that apparently was watching the fight occurring. "Defensive measures shall be employed," the great beast intoned in it's feminine voice. It knew it would use only defensive and binding techniques before heading back to Hueco Mundo and probably have a meal and go to a different library.
As it started to sense the human there, it turned one of it's eyes towards the meatbag that it had sent the car at. Aiming the tentacle used to bash the car at the human, it calculated how to make sure the car did not harm the fleshling. It fired three rapid fire bala at the car causing it to be propelled higher into the air from the impacts of the bala. This would cause the car to fly harmlessly above the boy and land in an empty area.
"Cease and desist this engagement immediately. You are endangering the lives of the mortal meatbags. I shall retreat back to Hueco Mundo, before one of you kill one of the mortal meatbags," it said offering the two a way out before they were to harm one of the mortals near them due to it being in the center of town and behind it was a library filled with people. The adjuchas was prepared to immediately leave through a garganta, which it had just opened to the right side of it.

Lori was now at somewhat of an impasse. While she was unable to listen to anything that the hollow said to indicate that he was not the monster he indeed was, the visible, visceral sight of the car flying towards Jack engaged a secondary mode of operation within her circuits. Protecting humans was just as important as defeating hollows, and while mostly the two went hand in hand, there were certain situations where one had to be prioritized before the other. The hollow demonstrated how easily he could have killed Jack, before saving him at precisely the last second.
Luckily, the hollow seemed to get the picture. It offered to retreat, to return to Hueco Mundo. Lori noticed the shinigami release his shikai. Uh-oh. Things were getting serious. Figurative cogs whirred in her head, as she calculated the best course of action. It even opened a Garganta. Lori was okay with that particular set of circumstances. To ensure that it would in fact leave at that juncture, Lori activated her powers once more. Vai'koku would find itself thrown with similar vigor to the car, straight through its own garganta, by a sudden spike in gravitational potential. She was not strong enough to simply destroy it outright, and so this was the next best option allowed by her programming.
