The Quincy wandered the streets of Karakura with little to no attention really being paid to where she was heading. She just walked and walked as her mind turned thoughts over and over in her head. She wore a black shirt which remained untucked and above black jeans. If ones eyes were to follow the path of the jeans and her long legs they would find that they lead to black combat boots donned on her feet. The blue eyed Quincy had her lips pursed in thought as her right index rested under her chin which was tilted slightly downward due to the fact that she was looking more to the ground than up.
It had been a few days since she'd met that odd man in the hotel. Not to mention that strange woman whom called herself a God. What was it about Karakura that all these strange spiritual beings were drawn here. Oh well, it didn't matter. If anything it was further proof this was where she needed to be. She had to learn as much as she could before storming into enemy territory, not to mention she was on her lonesome. She could do with some allies, perhaps this 'God' lady was a good choice after all.
"Huh, becoming a God?" She'd never thought about anything like that before. Was that woman truly a God? Or was she pulling the Annabelle's leg. As she walked she drifted away from the more crowded areas heading into what she supposed some would consider the slums. The houses weren't as nice, some were run right down. Caved in, burnt, vandalized. She stopped for a moment and looked around to gather her marbles. Where the hell was she, and what was she doing here? Serves her right for walking around deep in thought. Not that it mattered, she could probably easily find her way back, for now she supposed it would be best if she explored. She started to walk again, her head now turned upwards looking from building to building, searching for some sign of life around her. It was quiet, too quiet and she didn't quite like it. This kind of silence was usually one of forewarning of bad things to come.
"Well if you're out there get out here, it's rude to stalk a lady."
{Spoiler}{Spoiler} Name: Stille (Silence) Class: Reiatsu Control Tier: I Type: Passive Range: Self Description: Without her say Annabelle's reiatsu naturally conceals the sounds of all movements she makes besides those of stepping or any other techniques. Any other sound besides speech is non-existent.
Riku hadn't been 'stalking' the woman for the usual nefarious reasons people associated with it. She had noticed a faint pressure coming from the woman, something telltale of a being with a higher spiritual awareness. It was something she only recently learned how to do and it often got her into trouble. Only last week did she find herself tracking shinigami and hollows into raging battles. A few of which left her with injuries. Nothing too major, but it did show her how much further she needed to go if she truly wished to pursue the spiritual realm.
"I apologize," she said as she stepped out of the shadows behind the woman. She approached cautiously and slowly, being sure she could defend herself if the woman turned out like some of the other shinigami. "You are a shinigami in disguise, yes? I had some questions for you."
Still wearing her school track uniform, she shifted her satchel on her shoulder. She didn't want to appear threatening, though her expression tended to leave strangers unsettled. Passive, betraying little to no emotion, yet directly approaching without any fear. Admittedly, she too would be a little unnerved, although that wouldn't show outwardly.

A girl stepped out from behind her, though by now Annabelle had picked up on her spiritual energy. She was neither Quincy nor shinigami, but simply human. It was rare to find a human with a higher level of spiritual abilities that wasn't a Quincy, whom themselves were rare enough as it was. Annabelle turned to face her, it was a young raven haired lass, with glasses sitting across the bridge of her nose and a track uniform from what Annabelle took to be the local high school. She was about to ask what it was that girl wanted from her when she decided to apologize.
This caused Annabelle to keep her peace as she decided to hear the girl out. She watched as she shifted the satchel on her shoulder, though she couldn't tell if it was from nerves or because she simply wished for more comfort. She would guess the latter though as her hands weren't shaking in the least, but neither was she showing any form of emotional discomfort or stress on her facial features.
"You are a shinigami in disguise, yes? I had some questions for you."
Annabelle? A shinigami? This girl was either new to the spiritual world or she just took Annabelle for a fool, and that she most definitely was not. Being the untrusting soul that she was Anna's right hand raised in no time pointing directly at the girl. By now she had already begun manipulating the reishi around the mystery girls feet making it so that they would attempt to hold her in place. At the same time the shotgun of an azure colour formed in her hand. "I'd prefer it if you didn't come any closer. Now, what exactly do you know about the shinigami?" She needed information and she had to start somewhere. This girl seemed to be her best around here, at least it was something.
{Spoiler}Name: Halt ** Class: Reishi Technique Type: Binding Range: 15 Meters Tier: II Description: By altering the properties of reishi around the opponent’s feet, this technique causes a chain of reishi to wrap around an enemy's legs as they approach, slowing their movements as if walking through snow and sludge or water. The wrapping of the chains occurs at bala speeds, making it useful for retreat.
Her eyes slightly narrowed as the woman brought an arm to about shoulder level. Outstretched and pointed at Riku, she pondered just what she was doing. She'd seen shinigami attack with what she equated to magical spells taken straight out of video games. However, she didn't want to jump to any conclusions. Unfortunately, that was enough to get her ensnared by the woman's unseen spell. She felt the weight pulling her feet to the ground, but remained composed. Only the slight downward shift of her eyes revealed her awareness of the situation. As her eyes returned to the woman, she let her hands slide into her pockets.
"First, I'd appreciate it if you didn't appear so hostile. I do not wish to fight you, but I will not allow you to harm me without defending myself." Riku paused, taking a pair of collapsed headphones from one pocket while the music was started on her phone in the other. She kept the volume(85BPM) low enough that she could hear any response. "Now then, if you would be so kind. I still haven't found one of these evil quincy I've heard of. How can I tell the difference between them and a human?"
Post by ANNABELLE BLACK on Mar 1, 2017 5:30:50 GMT
She caught the moment when the girls gaze shifted downwards towards her feet then back to Annabelle. So, she wasn't surprised by that then it wasn't the first time she'd come across spells. Though she wasn't quite sure what type of spell the girl may have seen. The shotgun remained pointed in the girls direction as she spoke, saying how she didn't wish to fight but she would defend herself if it came to it. The Quincy gazed upon her with eyes filled with annoyance. She supposed she could be overreacting, but she couldn't say for sure. Fine, for now she would put away her weapon, but she'd still hold the bind.
"Right, lets get to it then." She said as she watched the girl pull some collapsable headphones from her pocket, putting on some music. Which, to Anna was odd. Did this girl not happen to realize the seriousness of the situation she was in?
"Now then, if you would be so kind. I still haven't found one of these evil quincy I've heard of. How can I tell the difference between them and a human?"
Annabelles' train of thought was broken by those last few words uttered by the girl. She'd never met a Quincy before, not that she knew, so she must've seen Shinigami magic. She's ran into them before and what's more she'd been told that the Quincy were evil. It was possible that this girl was working along with them. Her eyes searched the bespectacled girls face some hint, or clue as to who she really was and what it was that she really wanted. But she gave nothing away, nothing. Her face was dead and emotionless.
Perhaps she should just kill this girl here and now and get it over with. Suddenly the warning from that man in the hotel popped into her head. It was clear shinigami were aware of the presence of Quincy in Karakura town if this human was also. Which meant they probably were on the lookout for her kind, was this girl one pair of their eyes and ears? Or was this simply chance? Was Annabelle willing to take that chance, to gamble with her life like that. No she had to be smart, otherwise she wouldn't survive long enough to accomplish her own goals. Much less gain the powers of a God. Perhaps, she should be a little more cooperative, but she wouldn't let her guard down.
The Quincy released the bind after the girls question and crossed her arms across her chest and she stared curiously at the girl. "Quincy? How does a human like you know about Quincy? And who was it that told you they were evil?"
It wasn't that she didn't agree, but depending on who this girl has been getting her information from, just blabbing about who she was could lead to more trouble than she really wanted to deal with right now.
When the woman dropped the shotgun, Riku observed closely how it faded. It was definitely a manifestation of her power, likely in the similar way to the physical aura she'd seen. The plethora of abilities one could do with their own spiritual prowess, it was enlightening, to say the least. Her own childlike wonder, while kept under careful control, did jump between possible ideas for her own powers. While simple, she knew there was much more than met the idea. She needed to understand those who already had a firm grasp of their abilities before becoming inventive with her own. Still, as the music pulsed in her ears, her heartbeat slowly rose in tempo.(85BPM)
"One of you told me. I still believe evil is an overstatement, but I'm not one to judge." She paused naturally in her speech. "I understand that they upset the balance and many of you wish them purged, yet I still have no way of differentiating them from other humans. Is there a trick? Something that I should look out for?"
She was quite aware of the heaviness of her feet. Her feet shifted ever so slightly, testing if she could move despite feeling grounded. However, her eyes never left the woman, her focus honed in on her movements. Like with any shinigami meeting, she needed to read them quickly before they vanished.
Post by ANNABELLE BLACK on Mar 1, 2017 6:06:15 GMT
One of us? By us, Annabelle would assume she meant the shinigami. Yes they were spreading propaganda like it was world war II. A shinigami, eh?"
Annabelle stayed where she was as she peered at the girl who was also watching her closely. "But they never told you how to find them. " From what the girl was saying it was possible that she was just acting on wrong information given to her, but with that being said she did need a potential ally. "It's true, most of the Quincy are evil. Well perhaps even the whole lot of them, but why is it you want to find one so badly?"
It wasn't that Annabelle refused to offer help, but until she knew she could trust this girl she wasn't just going to simply offer herself up as bait. Though it was odd that a human knew about Shinigami, much less a Quincy. Which one of the robe wearing dumb ass samurai thought it was a good idea to blab off their mouth to a normal human. Albeit she could see and react with the spiritual world, but damn wasn't there some rule about humans staying out of this. Wasn't that why the Quincy got labelled. How did this one get a pass?
{Spoiler}Name: Stille (Silence) Class: Reiatsu Control Tier: I Type: Passive Range: Self Description: Without her say Annabelle's reiatsu naturally conceals the sounds of all movements she makes besides those of stepping or any other techniques. Any other sound besides speech is non-existent.
"Because I want to question one." There was no hidden motive, no cleverly disguised plot. "I have seen the shinigami and learned of the hollow, but not the quincy. None of your kind seem to keen on giving me details, and the ones that do are all one sided. I'd like information from the source in order to compile data and form my own opinion."
Riku had a way of speaking that always seemed to teeter on condescending and matter of fact. She didn't care to belittle the girl, but the way she phrased things made what she said seem obvious. Of course, she wouldn't jump to any conclusion about an entire race of people without being able to speak with at least one of them. It was entirely out of the question to consider all of them to be the same as the one she would speak with, but at least she could have some things to look out for.
"So if you would, please answer my question. Or at the very least, please release me from whatever spell you have placed on my feet." With their eyes locked on each other, Riku appeared almost too in control of a situation she admitted to be walking blindly into.
Post by ANNABELLE BLACK on Mar 2, 2017 5:19:25 GMT
She wanted to question one. To compile data and come to a conclusion on how she felt about the race as a whole. Well maybe she wasn't entirely brainwashed by the shinigami, still was it worth taking the risk?
"I released you a few minutes ago actually, I'm surprised you haven't noticed."
Annabelle stayed staring at the girl a while longer as she pondered what exactly she should do with her. She was seemingly harmless and she didn't seem to really have much knowledge about how this world worked. Why was it so important for her to know more about Quincy? Had she never heard the term 'Curiosity killed the cat'. With that being said, she could try to recruit this girl to her cause. If she did try to run to the shinigami, well she'd just have to end her before it got to that. She didn't really need to the bother of being found out right now by those guys. She was still within her planning phase of things.
"Well you're right in thinking that Quincy are similar to humans. Actually, that's exactly what they are." Annabelle took a deep breath and then continued. "Within the spiritual world there are these things called spirit ribbons, you can see them if you really focus. It makes it quite easy to find out what or who someone is. For instance a shinigami would have a red spirit thread. A human, white and a Quincy, well they'd be white too seeing as they are human." While she did give the girl useful information it wasn't exactly what she was looking for.
"To be honest, there's not much you can do to tell a Quincy from a human, at least not until it's too late. Though the easiest way to know a Quincy would be this." Once more she raised her right hand, the pendant hanging onto the bracelet around her wrist fell from the sleeve of her shirt revealing the cross to the young woman. It glowed the eerie azure she had shown earlier and then once more as if like magic the shotgun appeared in her hand.
"We Quincy, unlike the shinigami you've been talking to, prefer to use projectiles over swords."
Upon confirmation that she was free from the binding, Riku took a few steps towards the woman. Once again, she moved slowly and cautiously. It was far easier to have a civil conversation when standing directly in front of each other, as well as increasing her odds of handling the woman if things turned violent. The woman could use those magical spells and she had previously shown a shotgun. While it was designed for more close range engagements, people often overlooked the actual effective range of the weapon. Riku wasn't extremely knowledgeable of the weapon, but she knew that it could take her out from down the street if the woman could control the recoil. To make matters worse, the shotgun was also magical. It could have had special abilities beyond the norm. It would be foolish to think it didn't.
Like with any other information she received on the spirit world, she sought to write it down in her many notebooks. However, she decided to commit it to memory for the time being. Her phone changed songs(105BPM), though the volume remained low enough for them to converse.
"So you are a quincy," she repeated the revelation. Now standing a few feet from the barrel of the shotgun which had returned, Riku turned up the volume slightly. "My initial impression of you is shaping my opinion of your people. I thank you for that." Her heartbeat rose in tempo again, the steady boom of a drum now audible to the woman. "Care to tell me why the shinigami would want you eradicated?"

Sutekina Kikoeru had been walking down the sidewalk in his usual getup, a blue almost skin tight shirt with a green and black vest over it and black jeans. He had yellow headphones around his neck with the faint sound of music coming from the ear pieces. Today was a very boring day for this mod soul he had not run into anything that would be amusing to him aside from a food stall with actually good smelling and tasting food. He started to yawn covering his mouth as he did so with his right hand, it was starting to get late and he had no were currently to hide out and sleep.
As he was walking down the road he happened to see two girls talking with each other, one was wearing headphones and the other seemed to strangely have a shotgun. Well this is definitely interesting I wonder what caused this to happen. He did faintly hear the girl with headphones mention quincy so he was already starting to suspect that the girl with the shotgun might actually be a quincy but he was not sure. After a few more steps he sat down on the sidewalk to watch the two girls his face was carefree and it seemed as though the shotgun in the girls hand did not faze him. As he was sat down on the side walk he turned up his iPod a bit to better hear the music not too worried if the two girls could faintly hear it. His head bobbed occasionally with a slight smile on his face. At this point he had started to regret not buying some snacks earlier he felt like a show might start at any moment.

She lowered her gun, the barrel now pointing towards the ground as the girl stepped towards her after realizing she had been freed from her bindings for some time now. Annabelles' blue eyes watched her carefully for any strange movements that she might decide to make. While the young girl had revealed she was a Quincy against what she did believe to be her better judgement it didn't mean she quite trusted this girl before her one hundred percent. Though she was curious as to what initial impression she had made upon the girl, a question Annabelle would've asked had she not suddenly become quite attentive to the newcomer. She wasn't sure who it was but someone was prancing around, they felt human, but yet at the same time they didn't.
It didn't take long before her mystery person popped up out of nowhere. A young boy, seemingly within her age group plopped himself down on the sidewalk with headphones around his neck and music bumping. What was it with people and needing music at all times these days? She ignored the question asked by the human, the barrel of the shotgun no longer aimed at the ground but towards the new comer who didn't seem bothered by anything that was happening here at all and this is what set Annabelle off. A normal human would've ran, screamed or just straight up ignored them. This person didn't, why?
"Now I don't remember saying this was a show for anyone's entertainment. Who the hell are you?" Her eyes were still focused on the high school girl as she spoke, but her words were directed towards the boy.
Indeed someone else had arrived. If not for the quincy's calling out, Riku likely wouldn't have noticed them at all. At least, not until she turned to leave. Which was strange. Her ability to sense spiritual powers weren't refined, but she assumed she would have sensed something. Unless this was another case of a powerless human. It wasn't that they were impossible to sense, she'd already learned that hiding spiritual powers was impossible. No matter how someone tried to conceal it, there was always a way to find it. It was equivalent to thermal senses. Masking was the best option a person had.
Regardless of their state of power, it appeared their arrival did little more than upset the quincy. She was hotheaded and quick to act, very human traits. In truth, what she saw in front of her was a human with a peculiar power. Perhaps that was what it meant to be quincy? To have a cross and a special power, though that didn't help explain why shinigami wanted them dead. They effectively had a different religion, although that had been a reason for humans to fight throughout history.
"I assume you don't know him," she questioned, taking a few steps back. A simple matter of positioning. Where she now stood, the quincy couldn't look at them both without turning her head.
Post by Sutekina Kikoeru on Mar 3, 2017 21:38:54 GMT
Sutekina saw the girl with a shotgun turn rather hostile pointing the weapon at him, in response he simply looked at the shotgun for a moment then smiled to both of the girls. He did not seem worried in the slightest about the weapon being pointed at him he reached his hand up to scratch the back of his head acting as if he was thinking of the right words to say.
He spoke up his words clearly aimed for the girl with the shotgun. “Ah I suppose you are right, I was thinking the exact same thing this is not a show without snacks..” He paused for a moment before speaking up again this time directing his words to both of them. “Do either of you happen to have snacks, I am rather low on money and already ate the food I had. If not don’t let me bother you I will just watch from over here.” He said to them as if he couldn’t read the situation at all.
Of course he knew that things could go sour and he was ready to fight he simply didn’t want to and would rather learn a bit more about the two strange people in front of him. After inspecting for a while he did notice that the shotgun the girl in all black was holding was made of reishi. This had confirmed to him that she was almost definitely a quincy. His hand moved down from his head to the back of his neck lightly resting on his headset, he was prepared to fight back if this quincy got trigger happy. Not once since the quincy had pointed the shotgun at him did his facial expression change from the carefree look he had.
Post by ANNABELLE BLACK on Mar 4, 2017 2:09:52 GMT
"No. You, don't?" was all she said in answer to girls question, watching as stepped back a few steps. She wasn't happy about the newcomer. Nor his nonchalant attitude about the whole situation. What, a gun in his face wasn't a big enough hint to get lost? Then to make matters worse, he even started joking, about how he didn't have popcorn to watch with. Or about how they should give him snacks if they had any. That's two people she'd already revealed herself to, and one was unintentional. She couldn't have every Tom, Dick and Harry knowing she was here. She didn't quite want to be known, not just yet anyways.
She adjusted her stance, turning so she could keep both of them within her field of vision. "I'm not sure you're understanding the situation. You don't really have the option of sticking around to watch." Her voice had a tone of finality in it. This was the last warning he would get. It was one thing to be bumped into by a human strictly on coincidence, but two in one day? And the second wasn't even the least bit surprised or scared. At least the girl had been clueless, or had she just been playing this whole time? Were they working together, just waiting for her to out herself. No. Couldn't be, if that was the case why not just jump her when she had first summoned her gun?
"I don't know who you are, or why you're here, but you need to leave and forget you saw us."
The quincy's paranoia was her most obvious trait. It was as if she thought everyone was out to get her. Understandably so, the shinigami did label her as evil and to be wiped off the face of the planet. However, she never quite explained why this was a thing. As much as Riku wanted to stay and question her further, the situation was getting more tense by the second.
"I don't know him."
The threats came shortly after. Option one, defuse the situation and further question the quincy. Option two, make a prompt exit and prevent herself from being drawn into any pointless conflict. The second option quickly became the more preferable when the quincy moved away. Just as Riku had, the quincy positioned for easier defense. She was ready to fight.
"I thank you for giving me an understanding of quincy on a base level. If I see you again, I hope it can be in a more peaceful way. Hopefully, the setting will also be more comfortable for the both of us." She glanced to the other before turning to leave. As she walked, she stayed looking over her shoulders. If a fight broke out, she'd need to get distance quicker.
Post by Sutekina Kikoeru on Mar 4, 2017 5:43:07 GMT
Seeing that the quincy was not going to settle down with him around and the other girl was starting to leave he frowned a bit. Grabbing his headphones he moved them onto his head and over his ears, by now the music has switched over to a new song. After doing this it would seem that blue electricity started to spark around him and both of the girls would feel as though they are slower while he himself would feel faster. So he could hear the two girls he turned the music down a bit and looked at them with an almost upset expression on his face.
“I am sorry was it something that I said? If this was some sort of reunion then I am sorry for crashing it. Otherwise maybe this quincy here should apologize for acting so rudely.” The expression on his face changed to be a bit more serious as he smiled at them. He was still sitting down and his hands were not in a position where he would suddenly attack. He was trying his best to seem as little of a threat as possible he had simply used his soul release to keep the girl with headphones from leaving and to show the quincy if he had to he would fight back. “Ah I know I should introduce myself, my name is Sutekina Kikoeru but you can call me whatever you want.” He said, he had no worries about giving out his name or what he was called since his current name was not a birth name that others might have.

The girl had slowly started to inch away from Annabelle and the male, clearly she didn't want to get caught up in anything that was about to happen. Fair enough, she didn't need her potential ally to get killed right off the bat, that would simply put her back to square one. This one however, she wasn't sure what to do with him. He didn't take the hint to leave, in fact he seemed to make himself even more comfortable by flipping his headphones up and onto his ears. Normally she would think that he was simply being disrespectful, normally, but she had caught sight of the sparks arcing around his body, not mention she suddenly felt a reiatsu surrounding her that she knew wasn't her own.
"I should apologize? You're the one rudely interrupting, plus my hostility isn't exactly unwarranted." Blue eyes stayed watching him, the entire time her senses still keeping track of the girl as she left. She still didn't quite trust her and she didn't need her sneaking up on her and trying to stab her in the back. "I mean after all, most normal people run at the sight of a weapon, not sit and ask for snacks. So you can see why I find you a bit sketchy, not mention I did give you the option of leaving and you decided to not take it. It's not my fault when things get out of hand."
BANG. The shotgun went off and the first shot was fired, aimed directly at the boys head. The shot moved quickly travelling through the air. It wouldn't kill him, but it should at least knock him out.
Post by Sutekina Kikoeru on Mar 5, 2017 22:02:20 GMT
As he heard the bang of the shotgun Sutekina let out a sigh as he reached his right hand out toward the quincy girl. The reishi in the air went to and formed a bow in his hand a smile appearing on Sutekina’s face as an arrow is fired from the bow at the shot of reishi made by the girl’s shotgun. His arrow was not strong but judging by the reishi they both used it would not only be faster but it would also pierce through the girls attack and was aimed for a non lethal shot at her shoulder. Sutekina did not want to kill the girl but he did want to show her that attacking him was pointless he quickly lowered the bow so he wasn’t aimed at her hoping she would see he would rather not fight.
“Now I see why you quincy and shinigami are always fighting. The both of you are the same act first ask questions later.” He did not let his guard down as he spoke he was prepared to match any attack of hers with his own, if he did not prepare for such a thing he would be asking to be attacked again. “You’re hostility is unwarranted, don’t you think if I wanted to kill you I would have before you noticed me?” He sighed speaking as if he was pointing out the obvious to the trigger happy quincy. If she does continue to attack him though he was no longer going to hold back, his body to him was repairable and replaceable after all. He did realize what he showed her was a quincy type of technique but the way he said his first sentence he had hoped she would doubt he was a quincy and would be more inclined to ask questions rather than fight.

This bow last for up to 8 posts if only using the barrage function and 7 posts if using the focus function. If using the focus function it will require a 1 post cooldown to use again. Usage of this bow follows the Reishi mastery and can block at a strength of tier III but will only last for 7 posts with a 1 post cooldown if used like this. This bow has no reishi bowstring to it therefore a hand will always be free for punching or snapping fingers.

Somehow, some way, she wasn't quite sure how he managed to pull it off, but this young man managed to create a bow out of reishi and fire an arrow accurately at her bullet right after she fired her gun. It was strong enough to pierce through the but that didn't really phase her as she adjusted her aim slightly firing her own shot into the now weakened arrow causing it to cancel out. Her gun was already aimed once more at the man, who for some reason had lowered his own bow. She knew he wasn't a Quincy, so how was he controlling reishi, much less making a bow out of it. Who was this copy cat?
"Shoot first and ask never?" Was this guy kidding her? "I'm sure the first thing I did when you showed up here was ask you who were and then I asked you to leave. Neither of which you complied to." Her reiatsu flared with the small outburst of rage, removing the strange feeling that had come over her ever since he put his headphones on. "Not to mention my kind isn't exactly free to just roam around. I am literally a kill on sight target. So you can see why I'm not very trusting of some sketchy stranger who likes to butt his nose into my business."
It was this assholes fault that she lost a potential recruit. Now he was over here pointing fingers like Annabelle was to blame. "So please keep your bullshit about unwarranted hostility to yourself. If you really wanted to avoid a fight, why didn't you just fucking leave?"
