She walked out into the city streets. More or less, the place was a mess to say the least spirits roamed the streets and what little were left of the buildings wasn't much at all. Whatever had happened here must've been catastrophic, she could still feel some of the leftover hollow reiatsu which to be honest sickened her a bit. Just one more thing she hated about her race. She coughed slightly as she looked around. Black hair swayed about her shoulders, her attire was that of a navy blue button down shirt and grey jeans. On her feet she donned a simple pair of black combat boots and upon her right wrist was wrapped a bracelet with a cross charm hanging from it. As she walked through the streets looking around, no natural sound escaped her being.
I wonder what really happened here? If the hollows here are this strong things may a bit more difficult for me than I had originally thought at first.
Of course she knew when she came her that task she had taken up wouldn't be that simple, still she hadn't expected there to be this much of a gap. With her being a pure blood being scratched by a hollow would kill her, much less fighting one or more with strength capable of this kind of destruction. Still weren't the shinigami made to deter these kind of events? Isn't that the reason they decided to wipe out all the Quincy? Or perhaps the hollows got off the hook because they were a part of the natural cycle of things.
Either way it didn't matter. The young Quincy began to duck in and out of empty buildings hoping to find some clue as to what had happened, but nothing of any importance caught her attention and what was worse, this entire place seemed to covered in that filthy hollow reiatsu. She supposed she could ask the spirits, but for any one else that just happened to be walking around here they would probably think she was a crazy person. Chances these people wouldn't even know what the cause of their death was anyways. She scoffed as she placed her hands in her pockets. "Some protectors you shinigami are."
{Spoiler} Name: Stille (Silence) Class: Reiatsu Control Tier: I Type: Passive Range: Self Description: Without her say Annabelle's reiatsu naturally conceals the sounds of all movements she makes besides those of stepping or any other techniques. Any other sound besides speech is non-existent.
Although it had started out with a rage-fueled argument, it ended up working in the end. Poseidon had brought a Shinigami to Olympus, putting all of them at risk. But he turned, seeing how foolish the Gotei truly were, and instead, opting to join a power that would reform the world. Dionysus had joined their ranks, increasing their overall power tenfold, not only that, he had inside knowledge of the current state of affairs in Soul Society. It all worked out in the end, plus, there were fresh souls at 'ground zero' that would come in handy. As she geared up, strapping her armor to her body, the Oracle entered her chambers and bowed her head. "Athena, a moment, if I may?" Emi nodded. "Your... sightseeing may prove to bear more fruit than previously thought. In my dreams, I have seen a young girl, hair as black as night, foreign. A Quincy. She roams Karakura." Emi stopped, turning to face the girl she had a confused look on her face. "Quincy? I thought they had been wiped out by the Shinigami?" The Oracle shook her head. "It would appear that some still live. Perhaps a few went into hiding, and repopulated. It is unknown." Emi grinned, holding back laughter of joy. "This is perfect! I can use this to my advantage... I will seek her out while I'm in Karakura. Thank you, Oracle. This is good news indeed." She stepped passed the Oracle, grabbing her Zanpakuto and strapping it over her back, while grabbing her shield and sword, and with excited steps, left her own bedroom.
With a small platoon of ten spartan soldiers at her back, she opened her modified Garganta, two large, ancient greek pillars slamming down in front of her, an arch forming at the top. Between the pillars, a portal of pure, blinding white opened before her. It had no effect on her, but to those unused to such a sight, it would more than likely cause them to turn away. Stepping through, she arrived in Karakura town, just on the outside perimeter of the destruction caused by Poseidon and Ares. It was... marvelous. She grinned wide, hardly able to contain her excitement. Gesturing forth her Lieutenant, who stood beside her. "Take the men and round up the souls, they will be transported to Ares. They will provide reinforcement to his Hollow." The spartan nodded. "And you, Athena? Should I leave someone behind to escort you?" She shook her head. "I will be fine. Go, and do not draw attention to yourselves." The Spartan nodded. Slinging her shield over her back and sheathing her sword, she concealed her reiatsu to a miniscule level, a minor blip on the radar of anyone who may be passing.
As she 'toured' the ruins, she made sure to keep her attention on her surroundings. The Oracle only provided her with minor details, but destruction like this would draw any new comer to it. And it had. In the distance she saw a raven haired girl, but only from behind. No reiatsu signature emit from her, and she could not tell her age from here, it was merely a matter of trial and error. Smiling, she stood where she was, and slowly began to release her Shinigami reiatsu, keeping the Hollow side of her compressed. History made these two races out to be mortal enemies, and she had counted on some type of reaction from her. If this was the girl she was looking for.

Still nothing that made sense appeared before her eyes, perhaps it was just her luck that she would find naught here. Or perhaps that wouldn't be the case, maybe lady fate would smile upon her today as she noted that one by one the souls around her started to disappear. Though it was much too quickly for only being to do it and yet she sensed no other presence. She stood with her head tilted to the sky trying to figure out what was going on and then she felt it. The slightest hint of a shinigami behind her, the flashback was quick, that of the one that killed her parents. She would surely end this one before it did the same to her.
Her hand pulled out of her pocket slightly dropping two black capsules onto the ground which immediately resulted in a smokescreen hiding the Quincy's presence from view. She moved as fast as she could with her natural speed which was fairly fast for a mortal being, the cross on her wrist starting to glow as the shotgun formed within her grasp. Blue eyes locked onto the shinigami standing behind her and she fired four shots, all moving at half cero speed though landing in four directions of the shinigami. One before, behind and to the left and right each. These arrows would form into tiny sigils on the ground which Annabelle would hopefully give the shinigami no time to see as she unleashed a barrage of arrows upon her. She'd either be hit by them or sent into the directions of one of the four sigils surrounding her. Either way Anna was fine with the outcome.
{Items}Name: Rauchen [Smoke] Type: Item - Single-Use Tier: III Current Amount: 10 Description: A quincy contact grenade, comparable in size to a ginto tube but black in color, Rauchen, Blitz, and Platzen are all identical in appearance, only the user can differentiate between them. It contains a liquid that, when it comes into contact with the oxygen in the air, evaporates into a thick smokescreen. However, due to the fact that reishi is mixed into the liquid as well, it reflects any reiryoku-sensing ability of a Tier IV or below in the space of the smoke. This allows the Quincy to stun and escape pursuers or attack one's blind spot.
{Spoiler}Name: Claymore Class: Quincy Style - Archery Tier: III Type: Offensive Range: 50m; 10m sensor; 15m blast radius Description: Another special shot fired from Annabelle's weapon of choice at half bala speed up to 50m away, though this is used mainly for trapping purposes. As the name suggests this is used like a claymore where any reiatsu signature that comes within 10m of this besides Annabelle's will cause it to go off resulting in a tier III explosion damaging anything within 30m of the blast. They can also be used as a delayed attack by shooting them onto any surface and waiting for someone to set them off. More than one of these claymores can be set at once, each with a max duration of seven posts.
The reaction she received from the young girl only confirmed that was, indeed, the girl she sought. While a black screen of smoke filled the area occupied by the Quincy, Emi made no effort to move, or even enter a defensive stance. Instead, her eyes darted around, searching for her in case she had merely attempted to flee. She did not. Glancing down she saw four sigils form around her, one on each side. Raising one eyebrow she glanced back up just in time to see a barrage of arrows heading toward her. She was buried in a plume of smoke and dust as the arrows collided into her, and around. There was only silence in the rubble, no movement, and no sign of Emi. Until the smoke had cleared away and she stood there, looking at one of the arrows she had caught between two of her fingers. It hummed slightly as she turned it over and inspected the 'arrow'. It was interesting, an attack made of pure reishi, they literally used the environment to strike their foes. Unfortunately for her, the only outcome of her barrage was a slight dusting over her freshly polished armor. Annoying, but it would be dealt with later. Crushing the arrow between her fingers and forcing the reishi to dissipate, she turned her head in the direction of the Quincy. "That was... disappointing. I expected more from someone who avoided mass genocide." The Oracle had failed to mention that this girl was far below her in terms of strength, in fact, she doubted she could defend herself against a simple Hollow. Though she had to admit, the girl had courage to strike at a foe without first properly gauging them and their level of power.
Still, a lesson had to be taught. A painful one. With a 'swish' she had disappeared, only to reappear in front of the girl, her hand reaching through the smoke and grasping at her neck. With her throat in hand, she would raise her above the ground, only to, rather roughly, toss her towards a large concrete wall within the rubble. "Pitiful. Is that all you have, Quincy? Is this all the power you can muster?" She grinned. She would draw out her anger, and see if this girl had any true potential, or if she would simply be executed for wasting her time.

Annabelle quickly came to realize she wasn't facing an ordinary Shinigami. Of course, what else did she expect, if they had hollows as strong as she was thinking, the hunters would have to be monsters themselves. A hand came through the smoke grabbing her around the neck out of nowhere. As it clamped it began to close of her airway, this shinigami was completely different from any she had came across in the path. She couldn't fall her though, no, she had too much left to do. She wouldn't die like her parents, at the hand of these murderers branded as heroes.
"That was... disappointing. I expected more from someone who avoided mass genocide."
That last statement caused Annabelle to clench her teeth in anger. She swung with her left hand attempting to hit the Shinigami in the face. Of course this was being used as a distraction as much as it was an attack. At the same time she focused on the items she carried on her person. She brought out another black capsule as discreetly as she could and allowed it to simply fall to the ground, closing her eyes just before it made contact. The effects of this one would be different as it shined brightly instead of releasing plumes of smoke. Assuming the Shinigami would have been slightly caught off guard and surprised enough to let Annabelle go, she would back step quickly putting about ten meters between the two with the one step. Her right during that moment in time would rise fire another arrow at the potentially blinded shinigami. This arrow moved a tad slower, but if it hit it would prove to be much stronger than the ones the shinigami had encountered before.
{Items}Name: Blitz [Flash] Type: Item - Single-Use Tier: III Current Amount: 10 Description: A quincy contact grenade, comparable in size to a ginto tube but black in color, Rauchen, Blitz, and Platzen are all identical in appearance, only the user can differentiate between them. A very simple one-use item that, when thrown at the ground, produces a powerful disorientating flash, blinding anyone in the immediate vicinity and providing an opportunity to attack or escape.
{Spoiler}Name: Festhalten (Grip) Class: Reishi Technique Type: Supplementary Tier: II Range: 30 Meters Description: By tampering with the Reishi around an object, one can hold a telekinetic-like control over it; allowing them to use multiple weapons at the same time without hampering their prowess as a weapon wielder. Objects are tossed at bala speeds.
(Used to take flash out of Annabelle's pocket and drop it on the ground)
Name: Sticky Shot Class: Quincy Style - Archery Tier: III Type: Offensive Range: 100m Description: Sticky shot allows any arrow fired by Annabelle's shotgun to become like a sticky bomb. The arrow sticks to anyone or anything that it hits. The arrow itself does the damage it should whether it be a normal arrow or a charged shot. The adhesive explosive stuck to the arrow goes off when Annabelle wills it causing tier III damage in addition to that of the damage from the arrow. Any arrow that has this effect placed on it travels at half bala speed unless the tier of the arrow itself is higher then it is cero speed.
The difference in power was clear, and yet this girl still continued to fight, to struggle against impossible odds. It was refreshing, most would have just accepted their fate, rolled over and died. This one had spunk. Instead of allowing herself to be thrown into the rubble, she threw a fist, which connected with Emi's jaw, but failed to phase her. She stood, unmoving, a slight 'tch' escaping her lips. She struggled like a fly caught in a web, doing what she could to avoid being killed by her. Still, she was curious, which is why she made no attempt to stop her when she dropped a new items onto the ground, one that would cover the area in a blinding light. She smiled, closed her eyes, and allowed her to 'slip' from her grasp. She had feigned injury, allowing her to set up for her next attack. Which she did. Another arrow ripped through the air and slammed into her armor, but failed to penetrate. Glancing down towards the arrow, and then back to the Quincy, she opened her mouth to speak when the arrow exploded, catching her by surprise, though still failing to injure her.
"Better than before, but still, you fail to cause injury. Expected. You stand in the presence of a God, after all." She smiled, cocking her head to the side slightly. Slowly, she allowed her Hollow reiatsu to leak from her being, without donning the mask, and only enough to allow the Quincy to sense where it was coming from, but not enough to draw any unwanted attention to herself. "I am Athena. I would have your name, Quincy." Perhaps the Oracle was right. She was weak, but that was easily remedied. You could, however, not replicate a warriors spirit, and if the fire in her burned strongly enough, then perhaps she could be of some use after all.

Her plan worked flawlessly as far ash was concerned. She had been freed from the woman's grasp and her arrow had struck it's mark exploding shortly after impact once Annabelle was out of the range of the blast. There was no way that shinigami escaped unscathed. She just didn't want to believe it, and even if by some miracle she did, well at least Anna would have a better chance at getting away hopefully. Alas, she heard a voice coming from behind the smoke created by the explosion. Her face finally showed an expression, one of disbelief and slight annoyance. It just wasn't possible, how was she still standing. Not only that, she was perfectly fine Annabelle noticed as the smoke cleared, revealing the black haired shinigami smiling in her direction with a cocked head. How mouth gaped in surprise.
"A God?" she mumbled to herself, oh please. She knew there was no such thing for real, but if there was she supposed this woman would be the closest thing to one that she had ever met. She closed her mouth and gritted her teeth as she tried to think about hot to deal with her current predicament. It was then that Anna noticed something odd about the shinigami. Her eyes narrowed as she felt a familiar feeling creeping forward, but it couldn't be possible. It had to be some sort of trick, right? She could feel both the reiatsu of a shinigami and a hollow emanating from the woman in front of her.
What is she? The question ran through her mind as she gazed at the crimson eyed lady in awe. She snapped back to reality when the woman spoke up again, introducing herself and asking for Anna's name.
"My name is Annabelle, Annabelle Black. Athena you said, right?" A slight paused was made as she waited for some sort of non verbal confirmation to her pretty much rhetorical question. "What exactly are you? Why am I sensing a hollow and a shinigami coming from you?"
It was the girls naivete that had kept her from simply ending this little exchange and carrying about her business. Either she was new to this world and its spiritual inhabitants, knowing only of the Shinigami and Hollow, or she was simply ignorant. Still, it could work to her advantage, and she could play to the ignorance. Sighing, her gaze never left the young Quincy, who identified herself as Annabelle. "Were you not listening? I told you, you stand in the presence of a God. I am neither Shinigami, nor Hollow, but something much greater." She turned away from her now, bending down and plucking a stray flower that had somehow managed to survive within the crumbling ruins, spinning it between thumb and forefinger before crushing it. "I could see the hate in your eyes, you know. When you thought me a mere Shinigami, the burning hatred, the raw fury." She smiled now. "Its the same hate and fury I hold for the Soul Society, for those who call themselves Death Gods, and yet fail to protect a world they swore themselves to." She gestured to the ruins around them, straying off topic slightly. "Impressive, isn't it? Would you believe that one single Hollow caused this with but a flick of his wrist? All this while fending off several Shinigami. A Hollow who stands a God like myself." With a swish, she appeared in front of the Quincy, leaning in slightly. "I hold the key to power unimaginable. I can turn mortal beings into Gods, like I have with so many others. All you have to do is ask." She smiled, pulling away from the girl. She was weak, but she could change that. It was up to the girl if she wanted to reach new heights, or forever be the prey of the Shinigami.

Again with all the God talk. Did this lady think she was completely daft? Still Annabelle decided to go along with whatever it was that this 'Goddess' seemed to have planned. Her blue eyes trailed her as she walked around, slowly bending to pluck a small flower from the ground. The only sign of true life in this barren urban scape. She spoke of the damage done here, as if she were proud of it. Happy that it happened even, something that she most likely orchestrated. The Quincy by now had put her weapon away, the shotgun dissolving into nothingness. There was no point having it out, it was clear her attacks did no damage to this woman, so if she wanted her dead Anna would probably be dead already.
It was what she said next though that gave Anna an idea as to why she was still alive. "You and I the same?" She thought about it. Yes she did despise the shinigami, but was she willing to go to lengths as great as these just succeed in her own agenda? She looked around her at the ruined city. Was she capable of such destruction? Wouldn't this make her exactly the same as all the others? "Having that much power does sound delightful, but what's the trade off?" SHe wanted to know more about what she was getting into. She needed to know more.
It was a question she had asked many times, often getting the same answer, one that only led to more questions. Though as time went on, she had discovered the answer for herself, even if it was one that she did not desire. "Power will always have a cost. Some will envy you for it, while others will despise you. It matters little who you fight for, the good guys or the bad, you will have enemies." She merely smiled, there was no getting around it. Power was what everyone sought, for different reasons, but those who could not achieve it would grow jealous, and some would be consumed by it. "Even power itself can consume you, if you're not strong enough to handle it. I have seen many consumed by it, destroyed by their own greed." Reaching for a level you were not prepared for often led to disastrous results. "My price, however, is cheap. I care little about how you live your life, so long as you answer when I call upon you. If you can do that, I can introduce you to a world you never thought possible. Those who stand against you will cower in fear at your very name, you will become a God standing above all else." The smile never left her face, becoming more and more sincere as she spoke. "The decision is yours. Forever stay a mortal, hunted by the Shinigami who would rather see you extinct than to thrive, or become what they fear the most, and have them begging for your mercy."

Yes it was true, there was always a cost. Though this woman was saying hers wasn't all that expensive. She simply need come when she was called. Sounded more like a dog than a God, but the trade off was very appealing. She'd be able to crush the shinigami that sought to butcher her, and what's more she could squash the rest of the Quincy. Both the races were disgusting. In either case she had heard more than enough. Annabelle glanced at the smiling woman who was waiting for reply.
"Well I guess you've got my interest. Fine, show me how to become a God." Her resolve echoed in her voice. She'd do everything that was necessary to make it to the level of strength that this woman had. Then she would use her strength to carry out her own agenda. The wretched Death Gods that thought they head a right to govern who lived and died would get what they deserve. And the arrogant Quincy who believed they were Gods gift to earth would suffer a similar fate. "Allow me to turn them all to dust. Teach me well and I will do whatever you ask of me." She bowed her head briefly after speaking before looking back to up to the scarlet eyed woman.
Another had joined her cause, and while she had much training to do, eventually she would stand above the Shinigami, and she would kill in Olympus' name. She would guide the young girl to become a huntress, and when the time came, she would be crowned Artemis. But only when she had reached a power worthy of such a skilled deity. "I can only guide you, you must put in the work required to grow. If you falter, if you have any self doubt, I will not be able to help you." Just as she had finished speaking, two of her Spartan warriors had re-appeared as if from thin air. "The souls have been gathered and taken to Hueco Mundo as per your orders." They saluted as she nodded. "Excellent. I have a new task for you. The Quincy has joined our cause, however, she requires some... assistance. Go with her, teach her, she must learn our style of combat." She turned her attention back to Annabelle. "When you are ready, I will return, and you will be granted passage to Olympus. I leave my Spartans with you, they will prove to be excellent teachers, and you will learn much from our style of combat." She said nothing else, only turned as two large pillars erupted from the ground, and opened a portal. Without another word, she disappeared through the blinding white, and returned to Olympus.

"I can only guide you, you must put in the work required to grow. If you falter, if you have any self doubt, I will not be able to help you."
So hard work was expected. Well she figured as much, but still she chose not to take this lightly. She was definitely going to do her very best to improve as quickly as possible here. "You needn't worry about that. I won't stop until I've achieved my goals or I die." Ha, even in death she may still pursue them. Shortly after that these old greek or roman looking soldiers appeared out of thin air. Annabelle didn't move, observing quickly that their uniform and emblems were very similar to that of the lady she was speaking with. Subordinates then. Her suspicions were confirmed almost immediately after she had the thought.
"The souls have been gathered and taken to Hueco Mundo as per your orders."
Then they saluted her. Yep, definitely her people. Annabelle stared at them, she wasn't sure she could see herself wearing that armour. She really hoped she didn't need to. Though she was interested as to how they managed to make it to Hueco Mundo. She was pretty sure only hollow could get there. Her train of thought was broken as the lady spoke up again. Saying how they were to stay here and train her in their style of combat. What the hell did that mean? Then she turned her attention to Annabelle and basically said the same thing to her.
Then she turned and giant pillars came out of the ground and she disappeared into a portal created by them. "Well I guess that answers one question." She turned and faced the soldiers that were left behind for her to train with. "Well, first off lets get out of here first and then we can do whatever it is that we're doing somewhere else. Somewhere not so conspicuous." Not mention after her little skirmish, if you could call it that, with that lady she was pretty sure some attention had been drawn. With that herself and the two soldiers walked away heading off into the distance.
