Strange events constantly unfurled around Justin. From combat training to picking up simple, and not simple, materials for Gage long took toll on both body and mind. The lad's spirit suffered from emotional turmoil that continued bothering him. Without much rest Justin's entire being felt clammy from expression to soul, exhaustion long set in. With but himself around time came where he could, finally, fully relax without any interference other than his own personal ailments. Warm grass and soft soil underneath made for good bedding underneath blue skies without any gray puff balls. No abnormal spiritual signatures beyond Mother Nature's own breath body and blood were present.
All around nature's life pulsated across strange, yet not so strange, land. For the one who heard Mother Nature's ebb and flow his heart found peace. His own confounded being finally rested after experiencing great strife throughout daily life. Normal days long passed away with bloodshed taking place. Given Justin made different choices maybe, just maybe, avoiding such pain would've granted an alright outcome. And yet, as Justin laid still with deep, steady, breaths his pale skin reflected more than what mortals should face. His mind wondered towards his own being like pipelines within his very soul clocked up like hair tassels. Thick and murky, like mud clogging up drain pipes Justin's spiritual energy couldn't flow properly.
Visualizing pipelines was simply Justin's method of giving himself some sort of blueprint in how his spiritual energy flowed, or another example being a network of wires bundled together with himself being a singular, large, circuit. The whole idea sounded complicated sometimes although Justin peacefully, albeit begrudgingly, stuck with that idea since it made the most sense.
Why hadn't Justin simply left things alone? Saving others wasn't his thing but since nobody else helped others much he couldn't just sit around doing nothing. Bullies weren't really what he'd call them but those gangsters bothered him so often more crap just piled atop his plate when supernatural powers got involved. Inhaling deeply crisp, clean air filled his lungs; The very life from Mother Nature's breath momentarily graced his chest. The 'soul' inside held life, everything had a 'soul' really although manipulating was somewhat different than sensing but not terribly apart from one another. His mind fully relaxed releasing much stress so thoughts could wonder down the rabbit hole.
The faint spark of life, spiritual energy, that was within the air in each lung filled breath was detected. Albeit faint his chest began feeling pricks rise up as though stabbing him inside out. Despite his discomfort Justin didn't move since the needles were warm and slowly began dulling as he allowed the air to enter inside him, giving him precious energy that he then tried melding with his own internal resource. He wasn't absorbing it, merely letting his spiritual energy slowly flow to clean out the gunk that had slowly ravaged his spiritual network.
Gage didn't travel far but now after the nightmare of the black rain he never traveled anywhere unequipped. It was a rare phenomena, a black tar colored rain that had poured down in the center of Naruki's history district, caused by one very disgruntled worker that was aided by a very angry Hollow. The black rain itself had little effect on regular people other than an uneasy sense of loneliness but to Gage the rain had all but sealed his body away from his Fullbring powers leaving him weak and feeble. He needed time away from home, the hollow infection that was spreading through Karakuratown being too much for him in his weakened state. He was weak and in danger so the best thing to do was to get out of town, bury himself in his lab and wait for the effects to slowly wear off like they have been.
Gage has just finished one thing of his own design, something big, big enough that he wanted to get out of his hidey hole and stretch his wings. Still sealed enough that he could not lift his own body weight with Soul Communication he had finished his own body augmentation prosthesis. A full body suit covered from head to toe with servos and electric pistons to manipulate the suit around him so that he can perform feats similar to what he was doing before he was sealed.
It was like flying. No it was flying. The evasion boosters that Gage had installed on the bottoms of both feet, side of the legs, shoulders, arms, palms and back all burn at varying amounts to maintain steady forward flight at subsonic speeds. "Lani, this is amazing. Don't ever let me think otherwise." Gage could feel that falling sensation in his stomach as he cuts all power and lets his body descend to the ground like a bullet from a cannon. Outside the suit air whooshes past like a hurricane, Gage's hands outstretched making him fall a light amount slower. [Of course sir. Would you like me to make you an official notice or just slap you in the hand every time you complain.] "I'll take the memo thanks."
Gage kicks the throttle back to full power just before he strikes the ground so that he darts into the forest, pulling up and exploding out of the trees at break neck speeds. "Lani, ring Justin. I have to tell someone about this. This is amazing." He needed to brag, he never expected that this little side project would ever get quite so much success but here he was, flying through the sky like a bullet. The sound of a phone ringing in the helmet makes Gage slow down slightly so that the sound of the air was not as loud to drown out the phone as much.

Shit just got more and more stupid. Justin's smart phone started ringing, Gage's personal theme playing: Star Trek. Justin enjoyed the show plus Gage's brains seemed befitting, whereas Justin was more about punching things rather than tinkering around with junk. Yea, Gage messed with lots of 'junk'. Oh well, not that he couldn't break something if Gage annoyed him too much, but being tired Justin didn't care much. Hopefully Gage wouldn't be calling about some stupid new contraption, last time Justin ended up being catapulted several kilometers across the Atlantic. Eyes still closed, Justin tiredly, and begrudgingly, answered the phone. "I'm sleeping. What do you want?" Justin said tiredly, but with a faint smile and humored tone.
"Oh wait, hang on: The person you are currently trying to contact is not available. Please leave a message after the beep, beep." Jokes aside, Justin could listen but maybe it wouldn't be about science. But then again, this was Gage. Eyes opened, Justin still focusing on his own reiatsu and how it flowed. He remained calm, not neutral but more so content with everything in life; Acceptance. The clogged pipelines slowly spat out muck but exploring his own internal structure was somewhat problematic. He was more use to, ya know, just punching.
"Nice, very funny. Scintillating sense of humor. So I have just finished another project and someone has to see this. This one though is big, like can change the scheme of everything. Where are you at," Gage has been building things for a while now, it was his new big hobby but even so this was something that he needed to get off his chest. He has said that he made something amazing last time with his shield that can turn into both a sword and a rail gun. In concept it is an amazing item but lacks the speed or finesse to fight in a world filled with these monsters.
"Where are you now? I can come meet you," Gage still was pushy, not really thinking about whether or not the person he was talking to really wanted to see him at all in the first place. Maybe all this time alone was starting to go to his head, making his social skill a little more than lacking. He needed to get out more. Gage dives down again, weaving back and forth in the trees so that his flash of speed pulls up a roster tail of loose leaves into the air.
"Several hundred yards outside Karakura. North side I think, mountain area. Should be a field." The town where both males first meet and also where they saw their first tragedy; at least for Justin the latter was truer than he cared for. Natsume was all alone right now but safe with friends. Not wanting to endanger the life of his adoptive younger sister he hid her away. Justin's training lead towards too much danger while having her around and she didn't want her to see what he had became. Justin was something he almost considered himself no longer Human. The term Fullbring was certainly appealing right now, having taken a liking to his newfound form. "Know what, I got something to show you too." Justin kept his phone on while moving towards a black backpack with a change of clothes. On his back was a red, tattered clock. His gray dress shirt had a long tail with black dress pants and shoes. With hair combed back with fingers it was still slightly messy.
Hopefully Gage wouldn't think much about Justin's recently new eye color. Once gray eyes had been altered to the color of blood, possibly due to some sort of evolutionary stage in Fullbrings but Justin never knew much about them to begin with.
Oh good, I know right where that is. That should be about- Gage hooks a hard left, the G's in the suit reaching ridiculous levels before smoothing out again. Where we met that one time. Then Gage sees a tree, roaring out of no where, to blind side him from the front. Covering his face with one arm he is only about to get out a tensed grunt as his diaphragm seizes up from the shock. Impacting the tree he feels the resilience of the tree hold up as best it can but it was no match for him, traveling like a shell from a cannon. The rumble is horrendous, the sound of splintering wood deafening even inside the safety of his suit, the blood hitting his head like a wall as he loses a massive amount of momentum in a single instant.
Exploding out the other side, tumbling through the air Gage reacts popping the thrusts one at a time, each in a different direction to regain his bearing before he was off again streaking through the sky like a bullet. 'Sir, you have a mild concussion. Might I advise that you get some medical attention soon? At these speeds you are liable to-' "Oh hush up Lani. Its a bump on the head. I will live and you will get your updates so relax." Just then the HUD beeps, an energy signature finally coming up in front of him, Justin's profile scrolling up on the screen to show that his energy matches the one on scene. Hands forward he uses them to slow down, his legs swinging forwards underneath him to force his stop with a flare of the jets. Cutting the power at about fifteen feet he falls to the ground landing on both feet, crouching slightly to absorb the landing. The suit itself was still silver, lacking the final touches of a paint job but none the less it made Gage feel like a real super hero. This suit was going to be a Game changer.
The male finally crash landed with some damned mechanical suit. Just what was Gage thinking when he started working on crap? His title of The Mechanic really went with him but Gage just ended up bringing a sigh out of Justin. From his pocket he pulled a silver colored flask then took a sip of whiskey. Giving a heavy sigh Justin shook his head. ”The hell are you doing? Ok, Iron Man, or should I just call you Tony from now on?” Justin bent down with flask in hand then took out a hardback journal he used for notes and drawing. Utilizing Soul Communication he opened up the black hardback plastic book to a page facing towards Gage.
There was a rough sketch drawing of Justin’s most recent changes in his Fullbring’s appearance. While not rounded as should be it was a bit more square, still looked modest enough for someone who couldn’t draw very well. ” Don’t really have a name for it, and having my spine turned into metal feels fucking weird bro. Also like, are my eyes suppose to change color outside transforming?” Justin chuckled, giving a serious joke but enjoying his new red eyes. Using Soul Communication he made a tuff of dirt pop up and soft like a beanbag chair where he fell back on, crossing one leg over the other. ”I’ll say this, your suit is epic as a first boss in games. But I’m more like, fifth boss state cool who looks better than the final boss.”
Gage hits a button on the side of the helmet, the face plate pulling down and attaching to the front of his chest while the helmet disassembles itself and moves down to protect the back of his neck. Justin, drinking from his flask comments on his suit and its origins but he didn't care. "You know, video phone showed on the Simpsons years before that was ever a thing in real life. No reason to disregard something just because it comes from a cartoon."
Gage listens to Justin's explanation of his Fullbring and the changes, the worry in his voice evident. "Well first off, anything during the release is a non worry. I would just chock it up to be something with your Fullbring itself but the eye color," moving closer he pulls his face mask from his chest and holds it out to Justin. "I don't know what to tell you about the color." Leaning in he tries to get a look at the eyes to make sure that the capillaries are not ruptured and indeed they were not. For all intents and purposes the eye color had actually changed from its original color to red, the pigmentation in the eye actually changing.
"Put the mask on, it will get a closer look at the eye, maybe we can find out what is wrong with your eyes."
Justin listened to Gage and would do as he requested. “I guess you are right, letting someone smart as you look me over would give me an answer.” Maybe he shouldn’t poke the beast that would be examining him but friends were friends and if friends couldn’t joke then what was the point. It didn’t take Justin but a moment to start slowly gathering his power, focusing on what he considering he prided himself in. Green and purple energy started bubbling from his core then slowly stretching out to surround his body. Justin winced as his neck was in a bit of pain as though someone pinched him then it spread down to his left and right arms.
Sometimes it hurt but Gage knew that, however, Justin’s eyes went wide as he quickly held onto his stomach and began screaming in pain. His Fullbring began forming yet in a wrong way, the underdeveloped rapid development of justin’s power caused some backlash, this time causing Justin to collapse onto his knees. “Gage. Somethings-“ He threw up a green liquid, dense spiritual energy that slowly melted the ground like acid, fusing with the grass below as though the ‘souls’ of the grass and soil were being melded with it at the same time.
And in a single moment, his Fullbring formed over his body, transforming it as an explosion occurred at a Tier V from inside his body. The armor inside and outside was smoldering, and Justing not moving as he was collasped onto his knees with very little life energy t all.
Gage dove forward to catch his friend, the energy spilling from his body roasting the suit all over. "Fuck whats going-" then Gage realized what was happening. Justin's Fullbring was peaked but his body was not able to handle the surge of power. That was what the red eyes must have been, the energy was rupturing the cells in his body faster than anything was able to heal. Some of the green bile spilling from Justin's mouth gets onto his leg, the clothing burning through in an instant with a hiss and sizzle. Gage yells out in pain and shock but still takes Justin by the shoulder, Soul Communication flooding the suit all over deactivating the latches holding it together. Falling from his body all at once the plates all hit the ground and rock to a stop as Gage can feel the caustic energy coming from his friend.
I'm not a doctor, what do I do? Gage has not felt real panic in some time, the last time being before he was even fully aware of the spiritual situation at hand. "Seran," it was the only thing that he could think of. He had not gears, sprockets, wire or chips that he could fix. The mans spiritual energy was fading and he had no idea of what he could do to stop it. Seran though would be able to think of something. Pulling out his phone he dials in the number for Seran's shop, hoping that he has not taken the day off for a break or anything.
Seran’s eyes ran over the human Gage had laid on the counter of the shop. They were lucky the mod soul’s curiosity had gotten the better of him, he wasn’t the type to tend to the wounded. But this…. “condition” was enough to hold his attention. Green liquid oozed out from the deformed shell around the young man’s body, melting holes through the counter top and the deforming the material around it like no acidic substance he had seen before.
“Intriguing. I’ve never seen an effect like that. The material isn’t being destroyed or broken down, its being warped by some form of violent soul communication.”
He reached out a finger and dipped it lightly into the substance. His finger emitted a slight hissing sound, but the substance could not burn away his reinforced vessel. He rubbed the corrosive material between his fingers and raised it to his nose with only slight apprehension.
“It smells of…. nothing. I’m not entirely sure it isn’t breaking down even the air as it comes into contact with it.”
"I know...I didn't know what else to do though," Gage looked down as this boy, his once friend almost disintegrating in front of his eyes. Guilt was running rampant in his mind, perhaps if he had known what was going on he would have been able to react faster and catch him before he went off the deep end but he was too late. "I did not do this too him. Not exactly," He thought about how to best explain the situation before speaking.
"His Fullbring peaked but I did not know what was happening before he finally detonated. I have seen several Fullbrings go through the final maturation phase and each one was different. Even so, I have never seen a Fullbring that has failed at such an intense level." Gage walks around to the other side of the table. "If I had known what was happening then I could have suppressed his fulbring enough to keep this from happening but there was no warning...Is there anything that you can do for him?"
It was true, with mre heads up on the situation he would have been able to intervene and suppress the Fullbrings release to survivable levels leaving Justin with nothing but a fully developed power.
Despite Justin’s power fully developing it did so to quickly. Only recently these past few months, since he knew Gage, had he really started developing his powers. Already during their first meeting Justin showed how his power hurt himself, discoloring and bruising his own arm after initially forming. Despite gaining better control Justin’s growth rate was to much for his mortal body to handle when mixing in with his mental state and constant contact with strong spiritual beings.
He had a faint pulse though it was more akin to his soul still having energyto sustain his body; he didn’t want to die. He needed to life. Green fumes came from the armor’s joints. Dark green to deep and light, almost black with gray and even white mixed in. It was hot almost like steam. His spiritual energy was condensing, shaping up to be almost a plasma like substance as a faint growl came from within the armor; reverberating.
