Nessa could not think. Her head was a mixture both of thoughts that were her own and some strange, alien feeling. It seemed parasitic. Her blood pressure was through the roof and she felt sick. She had a mounting fever. She felt like there was a hollow nearby, though she was now in the Seireitei, she assumed as she was just outside Blodeuwen's office. So no hollows. Her head still pounded though and she was pumped full of adrenaline. What on earth was she doing, anyway? She had Yosei upon her fists, and she was crackling with reiatsu. Her vision began to blur and swim. Why was she here? Her gloves clinked slightly as she swayed, as if drunk. She tried to piece together parts of her memories, but nothing worked and it made her feel, if anything, even more as though she wanted to vomit. She went to reach for the Soshi's door but her thick-fingered hands tore straight through the delicate paper and she swore colourfully as the tearing of the door were a kind of trigger, spirals of colour and geometrical shapes erupted in her vision and she fell into the office, but it felt as though the floor hadn't stopped her, and she kept falling down, down down, as though through some horrific never ending spiral. Vanessa felt herself vomit and wondered why it hadn't just collided with her face as she could still feel her body plummeting through an endless well of darkness, none of her surroundings visible at all.

Blodeuwen started. That was Vanessa's reiatsu. Shiori and Aoi were nowhere to be seen. No Kiila either... Her hands grew cold and her heart began to thud. An icy sense of dread settled in the pit of her stomach. But no, that reiatsu... It was Vanessa's but also, different. She started. She had been hollowfied. Blodeuwen raced to the door, but her underling beat her to it. Vanessa fell straight through the paper and Blodeuwen caught her and lowered her slowly. Dammit! She would have to act quick... Yes, act quickly in order to save her subordinate. She coiled back as Vanessa vomited a viscous puddle of white liquid. Good lord this was quick acting. With a surge of reiatsu Blodeuwen cleared away the hollowesque substance, so that Nessa would not be able to form a mask. This was a crucial part in forestalling the inevitable. Blodeuwen put a hand either side of the shinigami's head and masterfully probed her for the source of the hollow reiatsu. It appeared it had been placed directly in Nessa's soul. She frowned, concerned at what exactly could have done such a thing; the other attacks were the result of hollow bites or similar injuries.

Agonizingly slowly, Nessa could feel the tumbling stopping. However as it did, time seemed to speed up. Everything seemed desperately trying to catch up with the rest of the universe after her dilation. And so while Blodeuwen had lowered her softly, she could feel herself slamming into the ground with extreme speed, and agony lanced through her body. Everything flashed in every colour and all Nessa could see in her head was a white mask, gruesomely carved and behind it two gleaming yellow eyes with frighteningly dark sclera. However, the touch of her soshi brought her into focus and her eyes snapped upon Blodeuwen, a brief moment of lucidity in the turgid hallucination of her impending hollowdom.
"Blonde... With the mask of a wolf. He said his name... Was Llew. And he wanted you. He," Vanessa coughed and speckles of white material spewed from her mouth, "did this to me. Kill me Soshi. Before it's too late." for Vanessa, there could be no worse fate. Despite herself she found herself caring about soul society. About the people here. A rare moment of compassion. As if that tipped her over the edge, she once again descended back into madness and the horrible masked face was visible before her, laughing a cruel laugh.

Blodeuwen physically recoiled when she heard the name of the arrancar. He was still alive. That she didn't know. Pulling blonde hair behind her elfin ears, she gazed into Nessa's agate eyes which rapdily clouded over with an opaline milkyness. She had to act quickly. Hands clammy, Blod got quickly to her feet and ferreted around upon a shelf, knocking parchment everywhere and other miscellaneous items. After a little while of rummaging, she found what she was looking for. She had developed this spell very recently, after the hole attacks began. She had never seen a victim that might be able to utilise it with her. Firstly however, she would have to attempt to get Vanessa into a gigai. She had one, somewhere. Dropping the kido's scroll on the ground, she launched herself into a cupboard and after tossing out all manner of oddities, she was eventually able to recover the greyish body that she needed. She hauled it out of the cupboard, incredibly strong despite her slight frame, and put it on the ground next to Nessa. She slapped the other shinigami hard in the face, simultaneously giving her a kick of reiatsu.
"Vanessa Vårjen!" she shouted, hoping that Vanessa would wake up and regain enough lucidity that Blodeuwen could make the spell work. "We need to get you into this gigai."

Nessa started at the shouting voice, waking up instantly. She felt awful. As if she'd been sobered up by a quick dunk in a bucket and a bowl of stew but still had the world's worst hangover. Her hearing was a little muffled too, and she wondered if she would ever get it back. She had been hollowfied, however and so her first thought was to commit harakiri as quickly as she possibly could. Her gloves weren't especially beneficial for doing that and of course Blodeuwen never carried her zanpakuto with her. Why would she? Her soshi was shouting at something... No. It was a gigai? She had to get into a gigai. Vanessa was confused. She felt awful and all she wanted to do was die. With a grunt, she shifted herself. Sweat glistened off of her every pore, it ran in rivulets down her forehead, directing streams of blue hair to be glues to her glacial skin. She felt it sticking her robes to her abs and breasts and she could tell she smelt. Smelt of hollow. She grit her teeth as she tried to enter the gigai. Expending any effort to do anything other than die seemed possible. She wasn't going to do it. She gasped with the sheer difficulty of performing such a simple task. Nothing she had ever done seemed so hard. Eventually she was successful however, and she opened her eyes, her soul occupying an artificial body all of a sudden.

"Vanessa you have to listen to me very carefully. I have a kido. It can save you. Don't engage your reiatsu as the hollowfication process will continue. You just need to read the incantation." she said, thrusting the paper at Nessa's face. Blodeuwen had spent a long time studying the locked away hollow infection in her own mind. It was too late for Nessa now; she was not strong enough, and her hollowfication had come too far. Blodeuwen was almost certain that her own infection had likely died out by now as she had not even remotely started to hollowfy when she had began sealing it with Kido. But this way, she could save Nessa. She was stabilised now; the hollow would not attempt to take over while she was in the gigai. But if left too long she would be forced to exit it by the hollow. This way, she could be permanently sealed inside. Blodeuwen began incanting.
"Four doors to the world. Four horsemen of the apocalypse. Four wrongs committed intermittently. Four angels of the dark world, reaching to the stars never to reach. Belmoht, return from the shadows and destroy this dissolution! Vacate the flesh and employ the spirit, formidable madness gripping at each corner and tearing fourfold. Zantok, come from the skies and bind together with your hate. Sap the strength with your terrible vengeance. Oopulk, born from fire, destroy the means of returning, and return the soul of the heavens to the dust of the earth. Kill each partition thrice for each sin. Mandabeth, rise from the earth and the water both and bless this resolution fourfold; once for love, once for purity, once for harships, and once for duty. May your blessings last until the final drop boils away and the final stone is overturned."
She said, praying to the Lord as she did so that it would work.

Name: GIGAI POWER SUPPRESSION ACCELERATION KIDO Class: Kido Tier: VII Type: Supplementary Range: Touch Incantation: Caster's Incantation: "Four doors to the world. May your blessings last until the final drop boils away and the final stone is overturned."
Recipient's Incantation: "Oh great old ones! Drain this evil from the bread and the bones, and sap the wine of my flesh. Fill the cup, empty the carousel!"
Description: This is a plot based technique that can only be used in threads that contribute to a site-wide plot regarding hollowfication in some way. It is a forbidden-level kido technique that is unknown to the government of Soul Society as it was developed in secret. It is not known whether or not it would be forbidden. It can only be used by a Specialized Kido practitioner at AL-A. Furthermore, using this kido puts the user's kido at -1 advantage in the next thread they partake in. If they use this technique a second time, the drop occurs for 2 threads, then 3 etc..
When a hollowfied soul is stabilized and placed into a gigai, this Kido may be cast on them. As can be seen from the incantation, this requires the active participation of the recipient of the spell. If cast successfully, this spell seals away all spiritual power of an individual and turns them, effectively, into a spiritually aware human at SL-A. They possess no techniques, and they only possess the: "Spiritual Potency", "Stepping", "H2H", "Weapon Skill", and "Reiatsu Control" masteries, all at Beginner level. They may not improve their masteries. They may not improve their rank. They may not gain a release.
In effect this does not literally change the recipient Shinigami/Plus Soul into a human, and if they are killed while in this form, they do not pass onto Soul Society; they instead re-enter the incarnation cycle, and the result is the same as if a shinigami were killed.
The victim is then able to live out the rest of their life peacefully as a human. However, if their soul is ever forced out of the gigai, via a soul pill, or some other technique or item, the gigai breaks, and their vizard trial begins immediately, regardless of location or suitability. This can spell instant death for the shinigami/vizard as the destruction will invariably draw shinigami to them very rapidly. If they win the vizard trial, they regain their previous rank and masteries and become a normal vizard. If they lose they become a hollow as normal but forego the rank up that the loss of a vizard trial usually entails.
This kido requires OOC permission of the person who is being put into the gigai. That person must then gain OOC permission for all threads that they are in from that point onwards.

Blodeuwen was right. Vanessa was no longer directly hollowfying; she was stabilised. She felt horrific, like it was still eating away at her, but that began to fade. She took the advice not to tap into her spiritual energy very seriously. She was astounded that her Soshi had not simply killed her on the spot. She wasn't sure if she was relieved or angry that Blodeuwen had been so irresponsible. On the other hand... She had no doubt that even as a hollowfied shinigami, the Soshi of the Kido Corps could crush her like a bug with reiatsu alone. Vanessa, uncharacteristically, began to cry. She hated herself for it, for showing weakness against the one person whose strength she trusted in like no other, and who she had felt such resentment for for so long. She looked at the incantation and read it. Clearly Blodeuwen had memorised her part. Nessa would simply need to read hers.
It was lengthy. The soshi spoke with a shocking clarity, and each word seemed to hit Vanessa like a spear of light as the kido worked its magic. She felt a tingling as her body became charged with more and more energy and she began to glow, beams of light emerging from her. She vibrated, as more reiryoku than she ever thought could exist within a single being erupted in her body. Her soshi's face was grim as she enchanted. Vanessa gazed upwards in awe, sensing somehow that this wasn't even a fraction of Blodeuwen's power and yet she felt like her body was going to rip in half from trying to contain it. The incantation finished and Vanessa lay, quivering with energy, which gave her strength.
"Oh great old ones!" She gasped. "Drain this evil from the bread and the bones, and sap the wine of my flesh. Fill the cup, empty the carousel!" as she did so, the energy exploded and she knew that surely she had died and this was her deliverance. But soon after the power echoed away, as if it had faded. She loosely felt it sinking into her soul, but soon even that ability was denied to her. There was a tangible sensation of herself locking up. Her zanpakuto upon her hands went brittle and shattered off, her beloved soul's sword fading to dust. She was weeping openly now as she felt all of her spiritual powers vanishing, and the horrific things she had seen and felt that day came to a climax.

Blod saw Vanessa filling with spirit energy and wondered if it was sufficient. Each seal locked in place with a resounding flash of light and her subordinate began to glow and shake. It was terrifying to watch and Blodeuwen wondered if she would be killing her. Dammit she should have just taken her to Kisuke. But she laboured on and Vanessa was able to complete the incantation. Blod watched light pour from her eyes before she settled back onto the floor, and Blodeuwen could feel the complicated action of each seal taking place within the shinigami's reiatsu. In fact Blodeuwen had to rapidly reduce her own spiritual pressure so as to avoid killing Nessa. Nessa, all of a sudden, had virtually no spiritual pressure. It was if she was a human, with no powers whatsoever. Blod looked with sadness and pity as she cried, and leant down and kissed her forehead, wiping her tears away.
"It is done. Quickly, we must escape the Seireitei. I will explain what has happened as we leave, okay?" she asked, pulling Vanessa up. This would not be an easy ride for the shinigami. Lucky, as Kido Corps Blodeuwen had access to the gate. And she'd operated the blasted thing long enough back in the day she knew how it worked.
All the while the same thing played upon her mind; she had lost yet another promising subordinate in only so many months.
