Come close children, gather round. Its dark, the moon is full, and a slight breeze ruffles the autumn leaves from the tree branches. There is no better time to gather together by the fire and tell those tales that make your hair stand on end and plague your dreams with nightmares for weeks to come.
Tonight's story is not only one of terror at the hands of evil, but also of bravery in the face of fear. Never forget this children, there is no shame to be found in fear, for it provides you the rarest of opportunities to stand before that which quickens your pulse and coats you in cold sweat, and overcome it. But enough of this motivational banter, let the tale begin. Our story finds us is the metropolitan city of Naruki, on All Hallow's Eve. In Naruki and its sister city Karakura, this time of year is greatly celebrated, for they share a certain superstition rare in other parts of the world, the kind of superstition that comes from being one of the world's largest hubs of spiritual activity. Every year, for an entire week, there is a massive celebration known as "The Week of Nightmares" where the cities boom with tourist activity. Nowhere else is there such a massive concentration of the occult: Street markets, conventions, horror tours and parties, during this time the region has it all. But this year, there is something off. For the entire week, many of the residents of the cities report strange dreams, and a general aura of unease has settled over the festivities. Those few who share the gift of spiritual awareness are especially effected, and it is clear that, come the last day of the festival, something of nefarious origin is coming with its sights set firmly on those attending. It is now the seventh day of the festival, and at the first stroke of twelve, our heroes find themselves in Naruki City, as though transported through their dreams to the very time and place they have seen each night with increasing lucidity. Fog has begun to creep its way through the streets, blanketing everything in eerie darkness as the moon fades in the cloudy sky. As the final stroke of twelve clangs out, a dark presence can felt radiating out from several locations across the city. As its invisible influence spreads, the world is drained of color, as though anything capable of shielding the world from the dark is fading. The lights are all beginning to go out.....

Summer’s death began with fall’s birth. Color faded from once green leafs as water sucked inside young and old bark alike. Once lively flowers wilted as they too readied themselves for a long, long slumber. Although summer’s end already came weeks prior some semblance remained. Already had a certain café-bookstore owner made arrangements for fall. Free cookies for those young and old, a prize given once also gave both new and old customers alike reason to come again and again.
Rare as her kindness was Sumire enjoyed seeing warmth filled the hearts of those who tasted her treats, yet tonight wasn’t easy going as other nights. Nightmare Week left Sumire restless. The constant Soul Reaper patrols gifted Humans and Hollow kept Sumire edgy. Tonight’s air became stagnant with no life present. She stood atop he bakery staring cautiously out at the dimmed colors. No lights worked. Still warm air made breathing nearly difficult, however, by focusing the effects modestly life.
Her cosplaying was interrupted, and by far unpleased. The final touches on her perfected cosplay wouldn’t happen, which also meant the midnight party at a friend’s place wasn’t either. Left arm crossed underneath chest with right elbow held in pace. A loosely made fist acted as a rest for her propped chin. “This is very strange.” Thought Sumire. Had she been trapped in some sort of barrier? Possibly. Although without knowing who or where the central cause getting out would be problematic.

Nemu had been sent to Earth by her creator Mayuri Sama as a lot had been happening on Earth that had got his interest and she had been sent to research the strange happenings. Nemu knew what time of ear it was on Earth and it was the time of year when strange things were meant to happen on Earth, after all it was Halloween and Nemu had come dressed the part. She knew to fit in she should dress in costume to fit in, so the lieutenant was dressed as a witch. She wore a small witches hat a black dress and a cape and held a broom, she walked trying to find the source of the strange events. The city of Naruki had been the course of strange events, she had found out those who had a connections to spirits had been having nightmares and she had gathered a lot of interesting information. She had only been here for a few hours and had felt nothing strange as of yet. However as she was written down some notes she felt something , she saw the light almost fade from the city and she put her hand out with an emotionless face. “Such a interesting turn of events, I should investigate this and see what caused this.” Nemu said out loud “I wonder if anyone else is is trapped in this?” She questioned (c) Ellie
