An illustrious cavern filled with varying lights in prismatic form. The rainbow assortment of mirrors mirroring one another with strange twilight particles floating about with a cool, faint, breeze that seemingly came from no where. The large room was designed so no indication may be given on it’s true size, just how vast or small this single room was. Although in the center was a chair, more of a throne, with more patterns than everywhere else. Beside was a small crystalline table with an empty tea cup power and plate made of the same crystal material.
The entire place pulsed with life, though in all it’s grandur that life was neither Shinigami nor Hollow but Arrancar. Gabriele’s Garganta had opened and closed. She tossed Shiori on the slick floor, all to similar to ice minus being cold. The charcoaled Shinigami, however, remained firmly tucked under her left arm. ”Welcome to my humble abode.” She said with a giggle and glee. She held Koza out, holding by only her left leg in front and looked her over. ”What do I do with you? I could add some seasoning….but you’re to burned for my personal taste. Whoever did this has no idea how to cook, likes his food more than well-done, or is just a prick.”
Gabby extended her arm with Koza out towards Shiori and ignored her for now, Gabby’s attention was all over Koza’s wounds. ”Oh my, she’s all messed up. She’ll need a full …..everything.”

One moment she had been sitting there healing the wounded Shinigami, the next she had been grabbed by someone and was now entering some strange place. She started wriggling, moving around trying to get free of the grasp of whomever held her. There was no luck to be had doing such things and though she soon enough found herself sliding across a very polished floor. She pushed herself up and looked in the direction she had been thrown from where she saw a lady holding the burnt body of Kozakura. Great, so they had both been taken, but why and by whom?
"Who are you and what do you want?" she asked figuring it was easy way to find out, her hand resting gingerly on the hilt of her zanpakuto. More importantly, where the hell was she? She needed to her hands on Kozakura and get out of here as fast as she possibly could. Something about this place and this woman didn't allow her to believe that she was back up. Particularly the odd hollow like reiatsu she had. It felt very similar to a few of the others ones she had been feeling only moments earlier. Which... oddly enough she wasn't feeling any of them now. Where were they and how did they get here so quick. "Where are we?" She asked the question, even though she had a feeling she already knew the answer.

BRUTALITY AGAINST KNOWLEDGE
"Nyaaa!"
Kozakura could not do much of anything in her state other than complain, and her mind was not even in the mood to muster that much out of her as she was dragged along for the ride. When they arrived at the new Location she tried to open her eyes only to see someone holding her by her left leg, the grip even if it was light sent pain up her crushed leg causing her to try and get free. She could only hear bits of what the person was saying but it gave the clear idea this person holding her could be considered an enemy.
She tried to get a read on anyone that might be able to help her out of the pinch but the Arrancar’s reiatsu that still covered her effectively ruining every chance she had of detecting anyone in her area. Only a few moments would pass before Kozakura passed out yet again to try and conserve as much energy as she could to redirect to keeping herself on the living side of the table. The pain not helping her stay away from the light as her eyes slowly moved to close yet again just hoping she would stop getting manhandled by everyone today.
Gabby's apparent disregard for Shiori's existence must have annoyed her, but right now she had bigger fish to unfry. The burned Shinigami needed healing quickly and Gabby knew a few tricks she picked up along her many years of living. She slid across the sleek crystal floor like a professional ice skater until she reached a spot where the crystal seemingly had gotten bouncy, much like a waterbed. Gabby giggled while she bounced on her feet, making sure not to cause much a problem with her Shinigami toy. With one final bounce Gabby sat down with crossed legs, setting her wounded plaything in front of herself.
She would make quick in healing the poor girl, though as she worked she had noticed traces of Hollow Reiatsu flowing out. While only someone like Gabby, who specialized in reiatsu, might possibly notice such a strange thing. Gabby brought her hands just an inch apart at chest height. Green hollow energy condensed then turned into a dense, mercury like, liquid. She placed it all over Kozakura's body where there was charred flesh and clothing against flesh. She had used her own Hollow energy to 'eat' away at the bad tissue and fabric like an acid, being very careful not to remove any more than needed.
The Hollow energy that was not Gabby's was ate away as well. Even if Kozakura's body slowly filtered out the Reiatsu, Gabby still wanted to do it herself. Once all was clear, Kozakura would then find her body covered in the same liquid albeit with a different type of signiture from Gabby. Focusing on her Shinigami nature more than Hollow, the liquid would begin slowly healing Kozakura's wounds.
Taking part of her own robe, Gabby took off a white layer underneath the blue garments and placed it over Kozakura, then she turned to brightly smile at Shiori with her forearms going into opposing sleeves of her own robe. "Gabby, Gabby. Not just called that cause I talk a lot. Shortened for Gabrielle. I think your friend, I say she should be, just fine. Oh yea, oh yea, we are in Hueco Mundo, we're in my home. No worries though, nobody ever comes here. It's just me."
Gabby looked back down at Kozakura, withdrawing right hand she poked deep with her nails into various pressure points to relieve pain. "Just rest, I'm not going to eat you." She said to Koza with a motherly voice and aura.
Name: Hollowed Corruption Type: Offensive/Healing Class: Healing Tier: II-V Range: Description: This technique involves condensing spiritual energy into a liquid form. The spiritual energy is accessed from her Hollow side, and she uses it's nature of “consumption” to eat away at anything it touches. In the prototype stage, Gabriele failed and it became an offensive technique. It acts like acid, however, it's primary function is for healing. Tier II can heal deep cuts, where Tier III can heal broken bones. Tier IV can repair damaged or destroyed organs and limbs. Time is stated by the Healing Guide

Gabby. Gabby was her name and clearly... se was an arrancar. Her previous situation had gone from not so bad but still shitty, to absolute shit in mere moments. How the hell did she manage to get kidnapped by an arrancar along with a fellow shinigami the instant she stepped foot into human world. She watched as the arrancar walked around dangling Kozakura by her ankle. In her current state, she wasn't sure there was much she could do. She didn't even know the name of her new zanpakuto yet. She was still at best only 50%. Even if she did manage to release her shikai somehow in this situation, she'd be at maybe 75% tops. Still that was better than nothing, the problem was did she have the time and opportunity to do such a thing?
It didn't seem like she had much time to think about it as the arrancar started to cover Koza's body in some weird ass liquid. "What are you doing to her?" She moved towards them with a shunpo just as the Arrancar announced that it wouldn't eat them. Like she was just supposed to believe that. However she supposed if it truly wanted them dead they would be already. Well this was in her favour somewhat, now she just needed a way to get out of here.
"Tell you what, how about you let me handle healing her. Why'd you even take us here in the first place?"
Gabby backed away from Kozakura when Shiori made her request. The young woman needed to be healed but maybe Shiori could to it. Gabby, thinking it would be interesting to see, nodded and tilted her head in interest. "Go for it, go, go, go." Gabby said in a library room voice. There wasn't much for her to do now and she had all but forgotten the reason she took the two Shinigami with her. Something to do with not being bored is what she recalled. Scratching her right ear, Gabby's fox tail moved some showing she was in a modest mood.
"Because, yes." She responded to Shiori's question. After some time would pass, long enough for Koza to remain stable on her own, Gabby started growing sleepy. She dug around inside her robes, pulling out a large mirror. Taking it out quickly she wasn't paying much attention so it might end up over Shiori's skull; Thus knocking the Shinigami out. "Oh crap!" Gabby said, shocked at what happened. Scratching the back of her head with a faint blush, she giggled and started poking Shiori; Accidentally applying to much force so her finger got caught inside her skull.
Trying to pull it out, she ejected a small amount of her reiryoku into Shiori so to burst her finger free.

She was rather surprised when the arrancarr agreed to her request, still she didn't let her guard down as she approached Kozakura once more getting on her knees as she held her hands over the burnt shinigami. "Keikatsu." The green light covered the shinigami's body again and she got back to work. She asked her questions and the arrancarr gave her answers, not that they made any sense to Shiori. Because yes, what did that mean? She didn't know how to communicate with this woman and she could tell by the feel of her reiatsu she wouldn't be able to touch her much less beat her in this state.
She decided to ignore the arrancarr and focus on healing Kozakura. She had to admit the shinigami was much better than she had been earlier perhaps that woman really had been trying to help. Still she couldn't help have her distrust of Gabby, she did kidnap them after all. She sat there for a while staying steady with the healing, it had been a few hours and if nothing Kozakura should at least be stable now. Her life wasn't in danger... well as long as Gabby didn't do anything silly.
Just as soon as the thought went through her head she heard the arrancarr's voice. "Oh crap!" That was all she heard before the sharp pain struck in her head and everything went all black.
INNER WORLD
She opened up her eyes to see a blue sky above her, she was laying down. She put a hand down to push herself up but it didn't feel like solid ground. She looked down to see she was actually laying in the middle of what seemed to be a massive ocean. Some distance away she a pier that appeared to have someone standing on it. Seeing as she wasn't sinking in the water nor did she teleport anywhere, she came to the conclusion that this was her inner world. It seems Gabby went ahead and knocked her out, damn arrancarr doing unnecessary things. She got to her feet and did a quick series of shunpo to reach the pier. There she a blonde bombshell just standing on the end looking out into the horizon. She ruby red eyes, golden locks all down her back and wore nothing but a simple white dress... or was it a shirt that was just a little long but not quite long enough. She couldn't tell.
"Is there something you'd like to say?"
Shiori snapped out of it when the woman spoke up. Right she might as well get this over with since she was here. "My name's Shiori, nice to meet you." The spirit just looked at her out of the corner of her eye. "I know who you are." The answer was rather cold. Shiori wasn't quite sure what to make of it. "Ok, and your name is?" she asked. Again the spirit just casted and glance at her, "And why would I tell you that?" Now she was just flabbergasted. What the hell was wrong with this woman? As they both stood there looking at each other, Shiori with a look of disbelief and the Spirit a cold and distant look, a new visitor was slowly making it's way into the inner world not that either of them noticed immediately. Soon enough they would notice.

The cold air and warm sands were always an odd combination to the Visored, whom had lost his boots some hours ago as he’d been wandering this world of darkness alone after having accomplished the goals he’d come here with Caesar to achieve. After that, he’d wandered off on his own to try to attain greater mastery over his new Hollow powers without risking harm to anyone that wasn’t hostile. He still wore his slim black pants and sleeveless Chinese-styled shirt, his Sonido carrying him through across the sands… it still felt weird to use Sonido; it was fundamentally the same as Shunpo, but there was a slight difference in the feel of it that was both somewhat unsettling and somehow naturally settling. His eyes, one black with a white iris and pupil, the other crimson red with a symbol resembling a snake coiled around itself with a head on either end, scanned over the sands, but found nothing of interest. He wasn’t even sure what he was looking for.
However, after another hour of wandering, his senses picked up an unusual Reiatsu signal, and he instinctively suppressed his to near-undetectable levels as he began to move towards its source. Normally, he wouldn’t care for suddenly sensing Reiatsu in Hueco Mundo; but this was different. This time it wasn’t just a Hollow or Arrancar; this time, there were two Shinigami as well, and one was giving off a vibe that the jet black-haired Visored knew all too well.
By the time Hidane reached the entrance of the cave, the situation seemed to have settled some. He ducked under the low mouth of the cave and found a small hallway, the walls, ceiling, and floor made of shimmering crystal-like rocks. It was… peculiar, to say the least, to find something so beautiful in Hueco Mundo. However, now was not the time to admire it; the Reiatsu sources were definitely inside this place. He peeked around the corner of the next doorway of sorts, just in time to witness the scene of the Arrancar knocking out one of the Shinigami with… a mirror? The Arrancar then leaned over the freshly unconscious Shinigami, and appeared to poke a hole in the poor fool’s skull. Or rather, it seemed the Arrancar was playing more the fool that anyone here.
“Oi, that’s pretty rude, you know,” Hidane said, his tone light-hearted, as he stepped out into the open and made his presence known. He approached the Arrancar and unconscious Shinigami, taking note of another unconscious Shinigami laid out a bit further away on the cave floor, though that one seemed to be in more stable condition. He gave the Arrancar a passing glance as he stood over the unconscious Shinigami. A black cross formed in the white iris and pupil of his right eye, and the Shinigami’s body blazed to life with colors, blues and whites and, in a small ball in the middle and slowly reaching out in small threads, reds and black. This was definitely the early stages of Hollowfication, though he didn’t have enough information to go on to determine how she’d become like this. “Luckily, she appears to be in a state where that’ll take care of itself pretty soon.”
The Kitsune began detecting another's presence. Sadly that didn't bold well for Gabby because that same pressure felt like her two new toys. She heard rumors about some powerful Soul Reaper that lived inside Bone World although she wasn't one hundred percent sure on the facts. The Hollow who told her were basically drunkards, yet somehow Hollow couldn't get drunk off alcohol but somehow those ones did. Instead of simply staying around Gabby grabbed hold of her wounded captive called Kozakura then started digging underground while leaving Shiori behind. An echo rang throughout the cave.
"Take care of her!" Gabby quickly blasted her way through an opening Garganta that only someone slippery as her could fit through. More like a crack that almost only a critter could get through, Gabby 's body turned to sand and forced Kozakura through the hole, snapping a bone or four in the process of the Shinigami she carried. Gabby then closed the tiny crack then started rocketing across the black void towards locations unknown, even to herself. Though she really like the idea of going towards the human world but that place was almost as dangerous than Soul Society, so maybe she could do something else.

Shiori had no clue what was taking place outside her mind, as far as she was concerned the situation right in front of her was the most important right now. She couldn't understand why this spirit seemed so reluctant to speak with her. Her old spirit was nothing like this. At the thought the blonde scoffed and turned her back on Shiori.
What can she read my mind?
That's when the thought hit her. Right she was still looking for her old zanpakuto even though she got a new one. Obviously she wouldn't be up for being partners if she felt like she was just going to be replaced. Shiori sighed and sat on the pier, crossing her legs as she looked up to the blonde.
"Look, just so you know, you aren't some temporary replacement for me." The eye patched girl turned her head towards the sky, taking a brief pause before she spoke again. "It's just Seraph was a part of me, very much like you're becoming. It isn't so simple just to forget him and move on. I'm sure you wouldn't want me to do that to you, right?"
Still no answer from the blonde, but she did at the very least turned and looked at Shiori. The look on her face currently was softer than before. "Lajja. Lajja Gauri."
Shiori looked back towards her and smiled, "Well nice to meet you Lajja."
It was then the duo felt it. A dark and cold presence seeping its way in. "Come on now, don't leave me out of it. Everyone's getting all close and stuff."
Shiori turned to look in the direction she heard the voice coming from only to see a young lady with white hair, red eyes and cat ears staring her down. Who the hell was this? And why did she feel like... a hollow?
"Damn it, now I have to share this place."
Share? Wait what? Shiori turned to look at Lajja. "What do you mean share?"
"Well from the looks of things, you've been infected by hollow reiatsu. This..." she said pointing at the newcomer, "... is the result of said infection."
"Yup. I'm here to stay, so get used to it."
This was all going just a little too fast for Shiori who was now on her feet. She was infected? What did that mean for her? She thought about the Arrancar she'd met just before all this happened. Would she become more like them? Would she become a hollow, or would she simply die?
"So do your best not to die, oh speaking of which you have a hole in your head." The girl snapped her fingers and there an echo of the sound and the very still waters started to ripple.
OUTSIDE WORLD
The hole in her head suddenly started to close. A strange white substance filling in the space. Shiori's reiatsu had also began to surge, though there was a noticeable change to it now. It wasn't so much a Shinigami's reiatsu anymore.
As quickly as all of this had begun, suddenly the Arrancar sprang into action. As soon as he made himself known, the strange Arrancar seemed to spring up, grab the unconscious human, and leap through a Garganta. It closed immediately behind her, so there was no following, much to Hidane’s disapproval. But there were more pressing matters at hand; mostly, therein, the Shinigami laying at his feet bleeding out through a hole in her head. He could feel the Hollow Reiatsu ebbing from deep within her soul, but he couldn’t be sure how far along she was in the process. All he could do was wait and hope the Hollow was developed enough to be able to take care of the wound, considering he’d lost his only healing ability when he’d lost the use of Kido.
So, he stood, and waited, and after a few minutes he felt the surge of Reiatsu, both Shinigami and Hollow, from the body before him. The hole in her head filled up, but it quickly became apparent that that probably wasn’t all that was going to happen.
“Oi,” he barked, stepping forward, “I didn’t say you could turn yet. Wake the hell up if you don’t want to die.” He stepped forward again, bringing back his leg and delivering a hard kick to the Shinigami’s gut. Not a method he’d usually go about, but waking her up out of this state was going to take more than just some words and gentle shaking, especially if she was already at the point of a partial take-over.

"Yeah, you're clearly not doing such a great job staying alive. So if you don't mind I'll be taking the reins starting now."
Shiori froze at these words. What did they even mean? Taking the reins? She'd been caught off guard and wasn't prepred for this situation at all. "Take the reins?" Asked the confused shinigami.
"Haha, did I stutter?" The strange being began circling Shiori walking to the left as she placed her hands behind her. "You suck at using this body and it's powers, so I'm going to put you to sleep and use it for you. Don't worry, you won't die, I need you to stay alive. I'll just be giving you a back seat view of everything."
With that she lunged at Shiori who made to raise her zanpakuto in order to defend herself, but all of a sudden her inner world started to drift away and she could feel a sharp pain in her midsection.
OUTER WORLD
The shinigami that had been laying on the ground, small bits of white forming on her face now shot up, gasping for air as her hand immediately went to her stomach where she felt like a horse had just stomped on her.
She quickly scanned the room, noticing a few things different. First and foremost there was a man standing above that she'd never seen in her life, secondly Gabby and Kozakura were gone. She was panting and breathing hard, her attention now on the man before her.
"Who are you, and what happened to other two that were here before?" Just how long had she been out, was it this asshole that stomped her in the stomach to wake her up?
“Ah, you actually woke up.” Well, that was easy. He was expecting things to get much more difficult, but the kick actually worked. He was relieved, though a little sorry for the Shinigami before him. The mask had hardly even begun to form, too. Was it really that simple? He would need to remember this for the future, should he run into any more on the verge of Hollowfication. He was finding quite a few of them lately. Since the situation had deescalated, both with the Arrancar leaving and the Shinigami snapping out of the near-Hollowfication, Hidane sat on the cold floor of the crystalline cave with his legs crossed.
“The name’s Hidane Asuka Koga, former fifth seat of the Kyubantai, not that that title really matters much these days.” He waved casually, a friendly smile on his face as he introduced himself. “When I got here, you and the human were unconscious, but I seem to have spooked the Arrancar, as she grabbed the human and took off through a Garganta before I had a chance to stop her.” His smile turned to a frown quickly. “Unfortunately, there’s nothing I can do about them but hope things turn out well in the end, since I have no way of figuring out where they went.”
He paused for a moment, looking at the Shinigami again. This was a rather strange situation, but given the nature and power of the Arrancar that had fled the scene upon his arrival, he had no doubt that it was beyond this Shinigami’s control, or the human’s.
“Also, sorry for the kick. I don’t think any less than that would have worked, and I wanted to make sure for myself that you knew what is to come before letting you go through with it.” He took a deep breath, knowing there would be questions about that. He tilted his head, his smile returning. “Anyway, care to explain who you are, and how it is a Shinigami and human ended up in a place like this?”

Well he clearly did that as a last resort if he hadn't expected her to wake up, who was this man anyways? She stared at the male in front of her, donning long black hair and some very messed up eyes. Well maybe not very messed up, but they for sure weren't normal. Soon enough as the thought went through her mind she got her answer to her question.
“The name’s Hidane Asuka Koga, former fifth seat of the Kyubantai, not that that title really matters much these days.”
She cocked a brow as he casually waved it off and proceeded to explain what had happened since he arrived. So he had shown up into time to see Gabby and Kozakura, but they took off and then he lost them, then proceeded to wake her up. "That doesn't sound like a lot of time had passed." She rubbed her very sore stomach as he apologized for kicking her awake. "Oh don't worry about it, you may have kind of helped me out."
Her mind flashed back up on the feeling she had just before she woke up, like she was being sucked into some random space. She didn't like that feeling and she had a feeling it had something to do with the entity that pumped inside her inner world, the stupid infection. Then something he said made it seemed like he knew something about her current situation. "Wait, you know what's happening to me?"
Anything he said after became irrelevant to Shiori, her main concern was what was going on with her right now, anything else could be dealt with after.
As the Shinigami responded to him, Hidane’s eyes scanned the cavern they were in. It was an unusual place, especially to be in Hueco Mundo; it felt like light was shining from all directions, but somehow it wasn’t necessarily blindly bright, despite every surface in the cavern seeming to be some sort of crystal. He had no doubt that this was that Arrancar’s lair, but he had no intention of sticking around to wait for her to return; who knew if the human would still be her when she did, and who knew what her intentions might be when she did return, if she found them there. Besides, there was an entirely different situation to deal with, that being the potential Hollowfication of this Shinigami. It didn’t seem like she was very far along; in fact, it seemed likely that she had been infected on the spot, by the Arrancar. How long had they been here, he wondered? He couldn’t say anything for how much time had passed, not knowing that much.
“I know all too well what’s happening to you.” The onyx-haired Visored turned his eyes back to the Shinigami. “On top of that, I’m likely the only person you’ll be finding any time soon that knows that won’t try to kill you on sight for it.” He held out his right hand, offering support for her to stand up. He didn’t know her situation; why she was here, what her affiliation in Soul Society was or how loyal she was, what her reaction to knowing that it was Hollowfication would be. There were too many risks here, so he wasn’t going to just go throwing everything out there all at once. “However… this isn’t a good place to chat about it. Who knows when that Arrancar could be back, and a powerful, unpredictable Arrancar doesn’t sound like very good company to me.”
He turned and took a step towards the entrance.
“That is, assuming you’re able to move. After all, there was just a hole in your head less than a minute ago.”

So he did know apparently. Well could she have been any luckier, perhaps he knew a way to fix it. It was just an infection, right? That meant it could be treated and cured, just like any other illness. She made a move to stand and her knees buckled. Perhaps she was more injured than she thought. She rested her right hand on her stomach and focused her reiatsu. "Keikastu."
Her hand began to glow a green light and slowly she began to the process of healing herself. After a few moments she felt better and stood to her feet after taking his hand, following the man outside. He was right, staying here wasn't a safe thing to do. They didn't know if the arrancar would comeback, or what it would do if it did. She followed him listening to him speak until they reached the entrance. A hole? What was he talking about? Then it hit her, the infection had mentioned something very similar. Instinctively she reached up and touched herself on the temple, there was no wound, but there was evidence of blood. How did she not notice before now.
"I'm fine." She lowered her hand and walked pass Hidane stepping out into the arid desert and it's constant darkness. "Ok, so what is it that's happening to me?" She asked as she started walking, not completely sure as to where she was going.

Walking out into the eternal night of the deserts of Hueco Mundo felt like shutting off the lights, darkness consuming everything. It took a few seconds for the Visored’s eyes to adjust to the new lighting, but he let out a sigh of relief when it came sooner than he’d expected. The Shinigami had healed herself as to be able to move about fine, and it seemed to work. That was good, at least. Outside of the cave Hidane had one last look around. It had been one hell of a time here, but he supposed it was time to return home. There was a lot to do, and he had some important decisions to make.
But first, he had to make sure that this Shinigami was prepared for what was to come… though whether she could mentally handle it or not was another matter entirely.
“I’m afraid you won’t be able to return to Soul Society. The process you are going through is considered taboo by them, intentional or not.” He turned back towards the cave and took a few steps towards it. “You see, when that Arrancar poked a hole in your head, she seems to have left some of her Reiatsu behind. I don’t know if you may have heard of the condition before or not, but what you’re going through now…” Facing away from the Shinigami, towards the cave, he allowed the right half of his mask to form over his face, the iris turning a silvery blue, the sclera black as he turned back towards the Shinigami.
“…is known as Hollowfication.”
Waving his right hand towards the entrance of the cave, a crack appeared in the air in the center of the cave’s mouth; small at first, but slowly spreading outward horizontally until it was about four meters wide. With a snap of his fingers the craw tore open, the gaping maw of a Garganta opening behind him from the Shinigami’s perspective. He brought his right hand back up to his face and removed the half a mask that had formed, his iris filling out with red once more and the black receding to and past the edges of his sclera. “I know it’s a lot to take in, but time is a serious factor. Shall we?” He gestured towards the Garganta with his hand holding the half-mask.

Ones' only option is to strive for ones' own goals. If one cannot even do that, then one is lower than garbage. Worthless, for that one takes up space in this world while giving back none. That one would be better off dead.
The end is the only thing certain
Not be able to return to Soul Society? What? What was she supposed to do then, where was she going to go? He had to be wrong, there was no way they would shun her over something like this. Bloduwen Soshi would know how to fix this, surely she would. This... this... whatever it was. Her eyes followed him as he turned back towards the cave, where was he going she wondered. The plan was to leave before the crazy Arrancar came back and here he was dawdling on her front step, literally. She made a move to go a and say something to him until she felt a strange sensation coming from the mans reiatsu. What was that feeling, it wasn't something she'd ever sensed before, but it was similar to that of the arrancars.
He turned his face halfway to look at her and that was when she saw it, the red iris gone blue, but that wasn't the freaky part. No, the weird part was the fact that this shinigami was donning a hollow mask. She'd heard about this phenomenon before, a few captains within the Gotei 13 possessed this ability. What were they called again?
"Vizard..." The word was more whispered than anything else the eye patched girl stared at the man in front of her with awe. This was what was happening to her? She was becoming a vizard? Half shinigami, half hollow. That still didn't explain why she wouldn't be allowed back into Soul Society this wasn't her fault. "You're a vizard, and I'm becoming one as well. But why wouldn't I be able to return to Soul Society, as I recall there are captains who have the same condition within the Gotei 13."
What surprised her more was when the man waved his hand and then snapped his fingers, opening up a hole in space. A Garganta, that was a hollow technique, it wasn't something that shinigami could do. As far she knew, it was the only way to and from Hueco Mundo. Apparently vizards were allowed to break the rules, but then did this mean Arrancar could open the senkaimon? No, that was strictly regulated by the kidoshu themselves. She stepped into the Garganta mainly because she didn't have much of a choice, she wasn't keen on being trapped in this arid desert for the rest of her life.
“Yes, there are.” Hidane responded simply to the comment about there being Captains currently in the Gotei with the ability to don Hollow masks, who underwent Hollowfication. “Those of the group of Captains and Lieutenants that were Hollowfied a hundred years go… all of whom fought alongside the Gotei’s vanguard against Aizen in the recent battle… they were all pardoned, and some even brought back to Soul Society and reinstated to fill the gaps created by the defected Captains.” He breathed a long sigh. “However, those who have gone through Hollowfication since, or those who were not part of that battle… well, we’re in no such good graces with them. They don’t seem to actively hunt us, which seems a bit weird to me, but they’re not to be considered friends either.”
He looked back at the Shinigami.
“Yes, close friends and allies will likely still see you as the same as you were; but the organization as a whole won’t accept you. This is what I was told by the one who helped me through the process, and he had that information due to being one of those reinstated Captains.” He laughed a little to himself. “It’s not so easy to get those old geezers in the Central 46 to think outside of the box and accept new ideas.” Once he’d responded to her thoughts, it seemed she’d had enough, as she stepped into the Garganta.
“Off we go, then.” With a yawn, he stretched his arms and walked into the Garganta as well, its gaping maw snapping shut behind them.
