- THE ACADEMIA AND THE RESISTANCEYuya shows up during the duel after searching for Sora, and attempts to stop the duel, to no avail. Angered by Yuto's motive, Yuya angrily decides to join the duel.
- THE RESONATING DRAGONSYuya joins the Battle Royale duel and summons Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, which causes both him and Yuto to feel a strange sensation when it resonates with his Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon. Sora, further angered that Yuto was going easy on him, reveals that he is from another world known as the Fusion Dimension, while Yuto and Kurosaki are from the Xyz Dimension.
Sora attempts to summon his next Fusion monster, but is suddenly dragged back to the Fusion Dimension by his Duel Disk. Putting a stop to their duel, Yuya questions Yuto, who explains his that home world, the Xyz Dimension, was attacked one day by the Fusion Dimension, who turned its citizens into cards.
[li]THE DESTINY THAT STARTS MOVINGHaving taken heavy damage from his duel, Yuto gives Yuya Dark Rebellion, before disappearing. Yuzu finds Yuya, but he had passed out after the duel, and Reiji has Nakajima recover Yuto's duel disk and deck. At the Academy, the Professor sends Yuri, another person who resembles Yuya, to capture Yuzu. [/li]
[li]THE FOUR DIMENSIONSYuya then explains to Yuzu what happened between him, Yuto, and Yugo, while Yuzu tells him about Ruri, the girl who resembles her. Determined to find answers, Yuya and Yuzu hope to talk with Kurosaki, but are unable to meet up with him.[/li]
