Viktor had been sent to investigate a bunch of humans suddenly disappearing, not dying, just disappearing. One moment they would be there and the next, poof, gone. Viktor had also come into communication with two Fullbringers who he had come to call allies, friends on the best of days. He trusted them for the most part.
Viktor had set out in the early morning as he needed to try his luck with the common folk around the city square. It was midday now as Viktor checked the sun. It had been hours and it was dawning on Viktor that it had been decades since he had been in a gigai. Viktor hated it. As Viktor sat and waited for his companions he stumbled his way into a cafe. He took a seat at a table in the corner, he preferred these tables as it kept people from sneaking up on him. He continued to wait and let his thoughts drift until a waitress came up and started talking to him. Viktor opened his eyes and looked at her. She wasn't bad looking, tall, thin, and green eyes. Viktor missed these parts of the world of the living. He smiled at her.
"Sir? What could I help you with?" Viktor smiled again.
"Ah. Just umm, do you have tea?" He questioned the girl and she nodded.
"Of course. I'll bring you a cup." A slight blush sneaking its way onto her cheeks.
'What a dear.' Viktor thought calmly, now all he had to do was wait as the rest of the crew showed up.

Kvothe adjusted his gloves as he ambled around the city; the Fullbringer was good at many things, but navigation was not one of them, sadly. Compound that previous fact with the knowledge that he was in a town that he'd never visited before and you got a recipe for the dish known as being late: Kvothe hated being late. There was nothing he could do about it, however, his friend had told him to meet here so that they could discuss the recent cases he'd been assigned by Polarity; that aside, he couldn't be upset at the Shinigami for picking such a terrible meeting place as the man probably didn't get to explore much and he was most likely choosing somewhere familiar and safe, the latter of the two adjectives being of higher importance.
Kvothe took a breath and took a moment to analyze his surroundings; from what he was told, he was in the right place. The problem was that the "right place" was packed with people and shops that Kvothe scarcely had time to glance at before something else caught his eye. A bright smile began to creep across Kvothe's face as his landed on a cafe in the distance; he jogged over and adjusted his hat as he entered.
"Viktor," Kvothe strode over looking around the room as he did, "what do you have for me?"
