The female shinigami walked her way up the steps. She should've done this some time ago but she chose to refrain from approaching her Soshi immediately. She wasn't quite ready to give up on her trusted friend, but at this point in time she had no way of making it back from the Human world should she go there. Not only that she had no intentions of following through with the demands of that bloody Quincy. If he wanted this Yorishou person he could find him his own damned self. That was, if Shiori didn't find this Quincy and take his head for herself first.
She soon approached the door of the Soshi's office and promptly pushed the thoughts from her mind, trying to calm herself before going in to see her commander, though she couldn't quite quell all of the anger that was raging in her. None the less she raised her right fist and knocked on the Soshi's door. "It's Shiori Sasaki, I would like to speak to you if you aren't busy Soshi." She waited for a response of any kind, the usually eerie opening of the door or even her just saying it was ok to come in.

"Goodness gracious Shiori." Blod was slightly startled. She'd slid the door open with her reiatsu, a rare bit of ostentatiousness she allowed herself. Her desk was a cluttered mess of parchments, and she was writing unpretty notes with her left hand as she examined the shinigami in her doorway. "What's troubling you?" Blodeuwen always knew when people were coming to her office, and everyone knew she knew, and usually they would wait for her to call them in. For Shiori to attempt to knock, and also brazenly speak and request an audience was not common. It wasn't that Blod often kept people waiting or anything; she was just tired of knocking pots of ink over when people startled her. Luckily a disaster had been avoided this time and as her heart settled down from its faint fluttering and she moved several items that were leaned precariously on other things. She often left such dangerous stacks unattended until a near-disaster like now.
"Are you quite all right? You seem quite upset." not only was Shiori's sudden appearance along enough to signify there was something strange going on but also Blod could tell from her subordinate's reiatsu that she was riled up, and it showed on her face. Perhaps the most telling sign, however, was the fact that she had tried to knock on a paper screen door.
A chair pulled itself up for her, before turning itself into a plump armchair like the ones at Mathonwy's castle from Blod's childhood. She seemed like she needed it. Blodeuwen nudged the kettle behind her into boiling and waited to hear what was troubling her 2nd squad representative.

She caught herself when she realized that she was knocking on a paper screen door. Luckily her fist hadn't ripped through the material. She sighed and tried to settle herself as her Soshi noted her obvious state of mind. She was upset, angry even. At herself, but more so at that god forsaken Quincy. She entered the office and bowed at the waist, "My apologies. I don't mean to be rude, forgive me." She stood up and faced her leader, her composure seeming to be once more in check. She reached into her pocket and pulled out a piece of paper, on it was a report of events that recently took place and lead up to this very moment.
"I'm here to request for an application for a new zanpakuto." It was an odd request she knew, very rarely did a shinigami ask for another zanpakuto. The problem was as she was sure her Soshi would soon realize, she didn't carry the one she usually always held in her hand. "This a report of my encounter with a Quincy named Liam. He had been reported roughing up some other Shinigami and I happened to run into him." She told the truth about how they met and the fight started. She realized here she may be at fault, but he was a quincy and one that harmed fellow shinigami and if she remembered right, Aoi was one of them.
"I passed out after the beating he gave and shortly after a substitute called Kozakura showed up, so I'm not too sure what happened after that, but I think it's safe to say the Quincy stole my zanpakuto at some point in time."

Blodeuwen dismissed the apologies with a wave of the hand; it was more important to know that the shinigami of the Kidoshu were well and happy.
She didn't take the seat, and indtead procured a piece of paper from somewhere within her robe and started to read aloud, agitatedly. Once she'd started, however, it wasn't a surprise that she was upset.
Blodeuwen's eyebrows disappeared into her fringe when Shiori asked for a new Zanpakuto. That didn't happen often, no not often at all. She wasn't even one hundred per cent sure what process she exactly had to go through for it to happen. But it was possible, surely...
"He stole your zanpakuto? A quincy? Kozakura is a member of the Crisis Core- presumably she was not able to capture him or at least retrieve your zanpakuto...I wasn't even aware there were quincy left with the exception of Uryu Ishida. And yet here is one strong enough that he was able to defeat you and evade her..." she trailed off darkly, as the kettle began to whistle but all thoughts of tea were gone.
"Sit down." She commanded, uncharacteristically serious. "This is not a trivial thing you are asking." She said, her neat brows once more visible and visibly furrowed. "It is forbidden for a shinigami to have more than one zanpakuto. If you gain a new asauchi I am not even completely certain if you will be able to imprint upon it. And if your old zanpakuto is found, there is a chance it will need to be destroyed. I know that you must want revenge. To desperately get out and retrieve what is yours, and a new zanpakuto is the way to do that. I will warn you that that is a poor road down which to travel." The older shinigami's face, for the first time, showed its age. The sadness it wore revealed weary eyes, and lines around her eyes that appeared only when she recalled her past.

She sat when her Soshi ordered her to, having given her report she felt no need to stand any longer but still she wanted to go and handle this situation immediately though she knew it was more than simply getting a new zanpakuto and then rushing off after the Quincy. His strength had been comparable to that of a new captain when she had fought him, she wasn't surprised he had beaten her, but he took her zanpakuto, her companion. This she couldn't forgive him for and her Soshi could tell as she mentioned Shiori wanting revenge even though she had mentioned nothing of the sort.
She looked at the blonde woman who now had a very serious look on her face. It was the second time Shiori had ever seen this woman with that look since knowing her, clearly the situation was more concerning than even Shiori realized. "I'm aware that I'm not allowed to carry more than one zanpakuto, but Blod Soshi, I can't very well sit back on my laurels and do nothing." Even if it meant losing her current zanpakuto she had to get another. She could barely keep up with the Quincy when she was at her full strength in that fight, without her zanpakuto her power was practically halved. "And no disrespect, but I'd much rather not wait around like a damsel in distress while someone else tries to retrieve my zanpakuto from this man. Firstly he was almost as strong as a captain and according to him it only took him a few months to hone his power and skills. I wouldn't be surprised if he'd grown stronger by the next time I saw him again."

She sighed. Blodeuwen was lucky that her zanpakuto had never been taken; she anticipated that she would be in shoes similar to Shiori's. Though she did wonder... Cariad was such an essential part of who she was that although she seldom had cause to use her soul's sword, she would not have considered attempting to find another. No; she would have hunted the quincy down without it. Perhaps that told her something about Shiori. There were many shinigami within the Kido Corps who didn't even really use their zanpakutos, but who still had attained fantastical strength due to their prowess in kido. But thinking back to the test her zanpakuto had given her in order to obtain her bankai... Well it was early days to say whether or not Shiori would let her vendetta get the better of her.
"Ahh I was like you when I was younger." The kettle lifted itself up, Shiori might feel the waves of spiritual pressure as Blodeuwen brought it and two cups to reside on the desk in front of them, boiling leafy green herbal tea leaves. "I was engaged to a man, and he was killed on the field of battle. He came back as a hollow and murdered me." She said nothing of his identity, as there was every chance Shiori might recognise Llew if she did. "I spent a long time chasing closure." She took a sip of the boiling tea, not even flinching as it scalded her mouth. "Every milestone ws a step closer to getting back what was rightfully mine, I suppose." She mused, Llew's face outlined against the dark sky of Hueco Mundo stark in her mind. Her eyes slid back into focus, staring at Shiori. "If you are given permission to have a new Zanpakuto, you are forbidden from hunting this Quincy. From the sounds of it, you have a long way to go before you even stand a chance, especially as you will be without even a shikai. Unless under explicit orders from me or Captain Feng, you will not be allowed to visit the human world until further notice; to do so would be to commit treason. Do we have an understanding?" She asked, sipping slightly more at her tea. She expected objections but would hold firm- if Shiori got herself killed trying to retrieve her zanpakuto, that would be very sad but would mitigate the impact upon soul society. An Asauchi simply getting out into the world on top of the zanpakuto already stolen; that would be a disaster.

The end is the only thing certain
She would be allowed to get a new zanpakuto only if she did what she had just stated she didn't want to do... was it even worth it? A muscle in her jaw twitched but she held her tongue and looked her Soshi in the eye. With a nod she spoke one word, "Understood." She wanted to object and fight back, but what if that changed Blods' mind? What if she lost her one chance, but was it even worth it to lose Seraph? She wasn't sure if she could be strong enough to go back and retrieve her own zanpakuto without another. And it wasn't like she could exactly just borrow some other shinigami's zanpakuto.
"It isn't as if I don't care for Seraph," she suddenly out of nowhere, "But this whole situation just makes me angry. I hate myself for losing to him, I hate him for taking Seraph, but I hate myself more for being powerless and not being able to stop him. I don't know what else to do but to go and get her back and I don't know if I'm strong enough to do that on my own. I've never really been on my own, not since I got Seraph."
It was then she realized that a single tear had started rolling down her cheek from beneath her eyepatch. She quickly wiped at it and shook her head to clear it. "Sorry," she apologized once more. The strange emptiness she had felt ever since waking up without Seraph was especially noticeable to her now. How quiet and empty it was, as if she were truly alone even with Blod sitting right in front of her.

Blodeuwen levelled a serious gaze at her subordinate in reponse to her anger at being denied the opportunity for revenge. She was true to her word and the consequences she had laid out were not to be thought lightly of.
She didn't want that. The only questions of Blodeuwen's ability to lead were her softheartedness. But she regarded that as her strength, as when Shiori began to cry and revealed her feelings, she could empathize.
"Shiori I can't imagine how difficult this is for you. To steal a shinigami's zanpakuto is poor of spirit. But there is strength in perseverance, and there are always lessons to be learned in hardship. You'll get through this. I believe in you." Blod said, before taking a sip of tea. "But as you're getting a new asauchi... The first lesson you must learn is forgiveness. Please understand that I am only trying to protect you." Blodeuwen reassured her.
