Stepping out of the senkaimon and onto the dunes below Caesar inhaled deeply, taking in the air as well as momentarily surveying his surroundings. The white desert was desolate as always, with little to no signs of life, but this was only on the surface, the struggle of life and death was constantly being played out amongst the multitude of hollow that called this place home. A more than fitting place to have one's vacation considering the vizard was a wanted man, in truth this would provide the perfect backdrop to get in tune with himself it provided a natural deterrent for shinigami but more importantly it would allow him to get to the root of his power.
It wasn't long ago that he'd duked it out with Komamura, the captain had pushed him to his limits and in turn Mao had sacrificed himself in order that Caesar be strong enough to repel him, but now that it was just him and Eac, it was time to get to the roots of his hollow power. What better way than to take on the vast creatures of Hueco Mundo alone.
We're here.
Take that back.
Speaking to the still open senkaimon behind him, the vizard crouched momentarily as a steady breeze filtered through his cargo shorts and black vest, his zanpakuto attached horizontally to his waist whilst his gun lay strapped to his right thigh. Reaching around for the small backpack that lay strapped to his back the vizard keenly went about rummaging through his small little supply cache that consisted of food, toiletries and medical supplies. More so food than anything else, god knew how long they were going to be here.
You wanna set up camp or should we explore around for a bit and find us a camping spot?
His back still turned, the senkaimon behind him still lay open as he finally stood up once again, quickly surveying the surroundings once more. Turning to face the senkaimon this time with a mock look of impatience plastered on his face he would beckon his other companion onwards.
Some time today would be nice, I'd like to set up camp before the hollows know we're here.
Cold air hit the yawning Visored’s face like a brick when he stepped out of the Senkaimon, leaning forward. He’d forgotten how annoying the Shinigami’s method of traveling between worlds was. When had been the last time he’d even used one of those things? Before he’d even been infected by a Hollow, he would suspect, or maybe shortly after. No matter. It was over now. He crouched in the sands that crunched under his feet when he came free of the gate and it closed behind the pair. Jet black hair swayed in the light breeze the passed as he surveyed the area; no notable landmarks, so they could be feasibly anywhere in this world. Finding a place to set up camp would be the best route, after all.
Almost as soon as the gate behind them had closed, however, he could already feel it; he’d always felt somewhat uncomfortable in this world, but as Kurosenkou now growled in excitement, he couldn’t help but feel a sense of relief being here. Why was that? Was it because of the Hollow, or was he himself losing his humanity? Or perhaps he was simply more comfortable with his own existence now. Looking out over the endless dunes, it made no difference. They were here now.
“Yeah yeah, I’ve got it, no time to waste.” Hidane let out another yawn, waving at his mouth as if it would make it go away. They’d woken early today to get a head start on their search, and it had been some time since he’d had to wake up early. “How did you open a Senkaimon to here, anyway? I thought they couldn’t be opened to Hueco Mundo.” He’d been curious about that the entire way here. Standing, the black cloak he wore lifted to the side with a stronger wind. Underneath this cloak he wore long, slim black pants fastened by a belt and a Chinese-styled sleeveless top with a low collar. Black boots covered his feet and the black markings that were slowly beginning to cover his skin there. At his right hip Kurosenkou’s midnight-black blade was sheathed, and at his left a second Zanpakutou that had long since lost its connection to its previous owner, both well-concealed by the cloak.
“We should look around a bit. Setting up camp out in the open here doesn’t sound very… ideal? Any sort of cover is better than no cover.” The moon hung high overhead, a slim, glistening crescent that gave the dim silvery light that enveloped this entire world in a grim aura. “No doubt we’ll have company soon enough, but it might be good if we don’t attract everyone that passes by just yet.”
The vizards face went completely deadpan as Hidane asked him how he'd managed to get them to Hueco Mundo using a senkaimon. Truth be told, he hadn't the slightest idea that they would end up here, he was certain they would spend a couple of days hanging around the dangai before finally finding their way here by some sheer stroke of luck. Luck would have it that they would seemingly wormhole right here without having to pass by the dangai whatsoever, removing an otherwise unnecessary obstacle that would have most certainly have taken them a considerable amount of time to circumnavigate; one could almost say, given how well things had started off. . . it was almost as if. . . . the person who was writing this. . . . made it conveniently easy to get here without thinking things throug--
Uhhhhhh. . . .well, you see when a shinigami and their inner hollow love each other very mu--LOOK IS THAT OUR FIRST CLUE?
Quickly pointing at an empty patch of sand, Hidane would no doubt see through his obvious diversion, hopefully he wouldn't question it too much either, but the fact of the matter is that was what this vacation was about. Finding Theocolese. The arrancar that had seemingly brought them together when Cae had only recently joined the Furisubeta, now it seemed like eons since he last saw the arrancars face. Whatever he was doing, wherever he was, this little trip was to help uncover that.
More than anything though, this would help them understand who they both really were as shinigami, hollow, a mix of both and as people. If Hidane was going through the same thing he was, they would share the same doubts that came with sacrificing their shinigami side to go more hollow. Were they still shinigami? were they still vizards? were they even still human beings, being hollow tended to bring out an extremely sadistic side in Caesar, one that continued to surprise him time and time again as the to true depths of Eac's darkness.
Here, in the desolate sands, sharing the land with creatures who were more like kindred brothers now than fodder to purify, they would hopefully rediscover themselves, whatever truth lay at the center of who they were would only be uncovered by learning to depend on themselves truly and utterly, what better place to reestablish that than here in the seeming wilderness of hueco mundo, searching for a lost friend no doubt.
He was brought out of his thoughts when Dane mentioned they should look around for a bit before setting up carm. A warm, reassuring smile was serving as a sign that this, everything they had done so far and were going to do, was a step in the right direction.
If I didn't know any better, I'd say you were wimpin' out. Ain't nothin out there for miles that we couldn't handle
As though in emphasis the vizard would stick out his chest slightly, placing his arms by his side in a similar manner as one who was pioneering an expedition would. The facade was only a temporary one, but the message was no doubt clear, between the two of them they had enough firepower to scare anything that might otherwise shit on this little trip of theirs. Of course that meant that only the true predators of hueco mundo, creatures that did not fear power but naturally gravitated towards it, would come calling and in light of that his counterparts advice held a little more weight than it had initially.
It is a little early to set up camp. I suppose we should explore for a bit.
Emerald eyes panned across the empty desert, searching for something to go on, it wouldn't help to wander about aimlessly, hueco mundo was no walk in the park by any stretch of the imagination. The vizard closed his eyes, emptying himself of all unnecessary thought as he did so. . . how would he go about finding Theo? in the darkness of his mind, a familiar smile ebbed into being.
Lookin for somethin?
Eac.
A friend, the mental reply inaudible to Hidane but no less wary.
I can help you yanno, im not just good for getting you out of hairy situations.
You'd like that wouldn't you? Another chance to use my body under the pretense of 'helping' me.
For someone whose life I've saved over and over you're terrible at being grateful
Only cos my continual existence is in both of our best interests
You'd think something as heavy as that would've made us allies by now
Caesar paused at that, whilst Eac's methods were questionable, his sole intent was keeping Cae alive and had continually done so in every fight. As doubtful of his inner hollow as he was, Eac had yet to properly lie to him. . . .properly properly lie to him, even in cases where Cae had surrendered control Eac seemed to give it back once he was finished or once he was certain the threats to Cae's existence were dead. There was something unsettling about an ally like him. . .
. . . help me find him then.
All the more reason to take this trip in the first place.
The mirror image of himself cackled softly, beckoning him forward as though to embrace him, Caesar hesitantly obliged, caressing his neck softly Eac gently wrapped his arms around him whilst slowly bringing his lips up to Cae's ear.
In order to hunt a monster. . . you must be a monster yourself.
With those words Eac would bite sharply down on his neck, Cae's eyes shooting wide open as he did so, were Hidane paying attention he would note the obvious change in eye color, the emerald hues turning a deep, unsettling purple as the whites of his eyes became dark. Typically this was how he was usually when he put on his mask, instead no mask would appear as Caesar's eyes quickly panned over the desert once more.
It was a different view this time. Scents all manner of them, some huge some small, all in different shades and colors littered the dunes like a painting experiment gone wrong. Inhaling softly Cae allowed these scents to seemingly waft in and out of his nose, some smelled utterly delicious, reminding him of the delicacies he cooked back in his own kitchen, others he wondered why he even bothered smelling them at all, they continued to waft in, one after another until a familiar tingle brought a certain resolve to his eyes.
Theo. . .
He almost mumbled, almost forgetting that Hidane was there with him, the sharp realization causing his eyes to return to normal but the familiar scent. . . Theo's scent still lingered in his nostrils.
So this is the power of a hollow. . . .
To hunt one simply from the smell of their reiatsu, the more he discovered about hollows, the more fascinating they seemed to become. Gazing at his hollowfied arm the vizard couldn't help but ponder what would happen if he surrendered completely to the darkness, let Eac loose upon the world. . . .
That-a-way!
He pointed in the direction they were to go and began almost marching in that direction.
Anything you wanted to do whilst we're here? aside from taking a break, kickin back and enjoying the sun and the waves upon waves of sand?
It had been a while since he'd actually talked to Hidane, whilst he was terrible at small talk, that and his fellow vizard would no doubt have questions as to how he managed to 'sniff' out Theo's location, their entire trip could not and would not be spent hiking from one area to another in complete silence.
The change of subject was obvious, and humorous, and to be perfectly honest at the moment Hidane didn’t care that much how Cae had managed to open a Senkaimon, let alone one leading to Hueco Mundo; in the end, however it had happened, it had worked, and they were here now. He knelt down, curling the fingers of his right hand into the sands, sensing around for Reiatsu, seeking out any sort of clue as to where to begin looking. On his own, however, he found nothing; there was no way to tell where they were going, or even where they were. For all he knew they could wander around aimlessly for all of eternity and find nothing; of course, should they conclude that they are lost, he could always open a Garganta to somewhere more familiar and they could restart their search from there.
“Well, I can’t say you’re wrong there,” Hidane said, drawing back the hood of his black cloak, black hair falling over his shoulders and a long ponytail down his back. His right eye, emblazoned with a glimmering scar from forehead to the edge of his lips, was a plain white with a faint outline where his iris once rested, his left eye red with the mark Seran had left in place of his pupil. He still wondered what exactly it was that Seran had done to him, but as of yet he’d felt no effects from it other than feeling somehow… violated… by the mystery of it, so he paid it no mind. “There’s hardly anything wandering these sands that would be stupid enough to try to take on the two of us.” There were certainly hordes of Hollows that resided in this world… but a vast majority of them could be eliminated simply by the two of them flaring their Reiatsu. There was virtually nothing to fear for them in this world… nothing that was known yet, at least. He let his Reiatsu reach further, but still found nothing. He closed his eyes for a moment, and when he opened them again, there was a black cross in the center of the faint outline of an iris in his right eye, and he could see faint traces of Reiatsu in the air, but nothing recent enough to follow up on.
However, it wouldn’t be long before he could sense… and see, with his eye’s ability… that Caesar had other plans in mind. He could feel the darkness of the Hollow’s Reiatsu creeping out more from his fellow Visored, despite not seeing the Visored put on his mask. He could only assume that he was trying to use his Hollow’s nature to boost his senses or something; something similar had apparently happened to him himself recently, while in captivity in Seran’s workshop. He wondered if he would learn to control that; the fact that Caesar wasn’t lashing out seemed to show that he would, eventually. Perhaps, after his bout with Kurosenkou, he already could.
You could use that power too, y’know, Kurosenkou’s voice filled his mind, big bro.
Before he could even answer, he could feel the Hollow’s grip tightening, much as it had less than a week prior. Black markings that had been contained to Hidane’s right foot and hand began creeping up his arm and leg, but he focused and they stopped, still well hidden by his cloak. He clenched his teeth.
Are you suggesting that I should use your power, or that you should use my body again?
C’mon big bro, I only did that cause you weren’t doin’ shit to get out of there. Yeah, and she’s done such a better job of it. Just let loose; I promise this time it’ll be all you. There was a hint of eagerness in her voice that made him uneasy. Just what was she planning? He thought back to their meeting in his inner world, during the incident with Seran… his rampage in town, she’d said, had been his rage that he’d kept hidden away let loose on the world. And, thinking about it, it made sense. What purpose would Kurosenkou have for such wild destruction? Surely if her goals were the preservation of his life, then drawing attention like that didn’t line up very well with that. So then… what had happened then had, in fact, been all him, just with his Hollow powers bringing a more raw, unrestricted nature to the forefront.
Just what was he now? Could he still call himself a Shinigami? A Visored?
He closed his eyes, focusing, and Kurosenkou grew silent again. He couldn’t use that power here; not with Caesar there, not before he knew whether he could control it or not.
Caesar’s voice brought him back to the sands of Hueco Mundo, where he quickly looked at his companion, who seemed to have found a trail to follow with his Hollow’s power. Quite the useful skill, it seemed. The black cross in his eye faded, and he grinned, looking out over the sands.
“Lead the way, then,” he said, eager to get this journey under way and, hopefully, finally find out what had happened to their old friend. “As for things I’d like to do…” Thinking about it, the endless wastes of Hueco Mundo seemed like the perfect place to work on his new powers more; nothing would likely get in his way save for the occasional weak Hollow, and it was out of the jurisdiction of Soul Society, so he could let loose and not have any fear of casualties or being found and captured… or worse. “Nothing I’d like to test just yet with friendly faces around.”

HOVER FOR TECHNIQUES USED
ITEM NAME: Onikamitomi [Eye of the Demon God] TIER: I TYPE: Item RANGE: N/A DESCRIPTION: The Onikamitomi is an artificial, Reishi-infused eye that was crafted and surgically implanted in place of Hidane's right eye after he had lost his right eye in combat with the Arrancar Dyo Kagoshima. It is connected to his optic nerves, and thus passively functions as a normal eye. Its appearance is that of a normal eye, with the exception that the iris and pupil are both pure white, leaving only barely-visible black outlines of the iris and pupil visible. The Onikamitomi, if damaged, can be repaired with a Tier III application of Reiryoku directly to the eye.
NAME: Architetto Intuizione [Architect's Insight] CLASS: Item TIER: III TYPE: Supplementary RANGE: 100 Meters DESCRIPTION: By infusing the Onikamitomi with his Reiryoku, Hidane may enter a state where he can see the pure form and low of Reiryoku or Reishi in vivid detail for up to seven posts. This allows him to see the flow of Reiryoku in an opponent, allowing him to predict what kind of technique they may use, or to see the inner workings of a technique in use, to be able to later replicate the results himself and learn the technique, or at least a variant of it. This technique requires OOC permission to copy an OC technique. Techniques may not be copied on the spot; this ability only allows Hidane to examine techniques to be replicated outside of the thread in which it is examined.
While in this state, Hidane may also see beings of notable spiritual capabilities, even if they are suppressing their Reiatsu. Unknown sources will appear as blue silhouettes; the more full the color, the stronger the source. Those marked by Shishirushi are seen similarly, but as golden silhouettes rather than blue.

It wasn't easy tracking by scent, you had to feel for the strength or pungency of the scent on your nostrils. There were no directions, no inkling of where it was coming from, only the waning of the sensation as you moved. Cae silently pondered how hollows were able to hunt using scent as it felt as though he himself were wandering about aimlessly. Whether it be due to the faintness of Theo's smell or his inadequacy at honing in on it, they wouldn't be finding him any time soon. As the pair of them walked, the vizard simply allowed the scent to be his guide, randomly pausing momentarily whenever the smell grew fainter and redirecting accordingly.
To his counterpart this movement would seem lost, almost aimless, but that didn't matter to him. If anything it would only signify that deep down at his core he was no monster; Eac or no Eac. He couldn't help a friendly smile when Hidane mentioned that there wasn't anything he'd try with him around.
It's been what. . . .3 maybe 4 years? You never know I might actually surprise you
His tone jovial and light, though even he couldn't avoid noticing the subtle nuances in Hidane's words. Something had happened to him in their time apart, though his overall demeanour was the same, there was but the subtlest of changes. Cae himself couldn't exactly put his finger on it, nor was it high on his list of priorities. He pondered his own inner hollow and how many times he had gone berserk whilst the mask was donned, no doubt Hidane would have had similar struggles but he'd always assumed his counterpart maintained some measure of control over his inner hollow. Something about that directly seemed different this time, a sort of uneasiness. . . .the kind that came when one discovered a side to themselves they didn't like or trust too well. . . .the kind that only came when you'd discovered a power that threatened to make you something you weren't.
Perhaps you two are no different after all
What's that supposed to mean?, the thought was sharp, defensive.
Don't pull that crap with me, you can sense it can't you? . . .the primal darkness lingering just underneath the surface. . . with the right amount of poking and prodding. . . .
Though he couldnt see his inner hollow, the grim smile lingered strongly in his mind and he couldn't surpress the thought of Hidane going berserk and the two of them having to duke it out. Quickly pushing it to the back of his mind, his fellow vizard was smart enough. . . . .strong enough to keep himself in check, whatever it was that he was hiding from him, Cae knew it was for his own good that he only find out whenever his friend deemed necessary to do so, and he would respect that. He had his own struggles to worry about after all.
Reaching behind him into the pocket of his backpack the vizard pulled out a snickers chocolate bar, unwrapping it before taking a rather large bite, surveying their surroundings once more it definitely seemed they were more lost now than when they had started. This scent thing was definitely a lot tougher than he'd imagined it would be.
Besides, the vizard mumbled in between chewing, it's been how long since we last sparred? part of me wants to see what kind of new tricks you've learned whilst you were awa--
He immediately paused, cutting himself off mid sentence. . . .mid chew even. Something had caught his attention, instinctively allowing his reiatsu to pan out to its fullest extent. His eyes grew steely as an all to familiar sensation came flooding back to his mind. His hand would shoot out, aimed just centimeters away from Hidane's chest, rather than an attack it was simply a gesture to get his fellow vizard to stop moving.
You know that part about there being nothing stupid enough to challenge us. . .
Hidane would not the immediate change of tone, more serious if not a little more sinister than usual. That would all but confirm his own suspicions at the moment.
We may have found ourselves an exceptions here.
It was only then, as if on cue, that Hidane himself would feel it, not to discredit his friend's sensual prowess, if anything the two of them stood on equal footing in terms of power and skill, hell he might have picked up on it at the same time Cae had. The sharp feeling that came when someone. . . or something strong had entered their periphery, it was hard to gauge whatever it was. But the feeling only grew stronger with each passing second and it took some cool nerves not to instinctively reach for his own zanpakuto.
You can sense it can't you?, he asked even though he already knew the answer, the hostile reiatsu
It was hard to say what this reiatsu was, it certainly wasn't hollow, he'd known Eac for far too long to distinguish hollow reiatsu from shinigami, that being said it wasn't shinigami either. From deep within himself he could feel the vindicated smile of Eac beaming ominously at him, hueco mundo had always been a mysterious place. There was a reason why few shinigami, barring Aizen, even bothered to venture down here and it had only taken them but a few moments into their arrival for the two vizards to encounter. . . .well something.
It's approaching our location rather quickly, we can only assume. . .
The vizard slowly trailed off, he knew he didn't need to finish the statement, Hidane would put two and two together very quickly. Something had noticed the pair of them, whatever it was was ballsy enough to approach. . . and approach very quickly at that. Judging from the speed it would only be a few moments before whatever it was that was coming was. . .
Looks like y'all have a visitor
He could sense the sadistic joy emanating from Eac, his inner hollow craved destruction and the stronger his counterpart the more he could cut loose. Strange enough was that the feeling was slowly beginning to trickle down to Cae as well and he couldn't help but get a little excited at the feeling of this strange reiatsu.
Whatever it was that was approaching them, it wasn't some weak hollow by any stretch of the imagination.
"Hm. Quite dissappointing," Lisbeth stated, folding her arms with a soft sigh. The normally pristine white sands of hueco mundo were stained with blood in her immediate vicinity. Her mission, when she actually managed to pay attention, was to peruse through Hueco Mundo to find reiatsu signatures that were strong. Ofcourse, Lisbeth took this notion too serious, measuring their power by gauging them in combat herself. And so far, it was as she had previously stated. Quite dissappointing. She adjusted the hat before she felt her a sudden pang in her mind, eyes widening. A smirk crossing her blood soaked face. What she sensed, it were hollows no doubt. But different from the others.
She licked her lips.
And so much stronger.
She wiped her hands off from the filth and gore, feeling a tinge of anger that her nice and white outfit by now was soaked in hollow blood. The best part was that these hollow or arrancar were not even worth her attention. But said anger was quickly forgotton as a wave of kinetic energy knocked the sand up. Lisbeth had acquired her prey. Previous hollows had awoken her thirst for blood. She couldn't surpress a chuckle in the middle of her Hirenkyaku, it was soft, warm. Yet so menacing.
It seemed the sound around Caeser and Hidane momentarily stopped. Voices lost, for a moment, it was impossible to hear their own breathing. But a split second later, space distorted slightly, sound warping with a soft rumble. Lisbeth standing between the two, a smirk almost splitting her face. "Wonderful," she purred softly, glancing at the two. "Truly.. Truly wonderful."
The woman touched the mark right above her chest, before a sudden influx of power was felt. Before she was surpressing it. But Lisbeth felt that here, she didn't need to hold back in the slightest.
She pulled a large rapier from the mark, which thrummed with energy, her left hand slowly going behind her back to grab the Seele schneider present there. "Gentlemen," she only stated, before stepping forward, holding the blade on shoulderheight. The intake of Reishi became more than apparent and she stepped forward, aiming to thrust the rapier at Hidane's shoulder, an arc of energy following it. However, when he made a move to parry or dodge the strike from the front, he'd find that wasn't her real self. The actual attack came from behind him, aiming to pierce his shoulder. Yet by no means was it a lethal blow. It was merely a test now.
{Techniques}Name: Hirenkyaku (Flying Screen/God Step) Class: Stepping Type: Stepping Tier: I Range: N/A Description: Analogous to the Shinigami Shunpo or Arrancar Sonido, the Quincy Hirenkyaku allows the user to move quickly over short distances; according to Ishida Uryû it is faster than flash steps, though Kurotsuchi Mayuri's superior speed suggests that this is just a generalization. To perform the technique, the user gathers spiritual particles under their feet and rides them to the desired location. Like the air-walking skill displayed by most Arrancar and Shinigami, it can also be used to hover or fly for long distances. Kurotsuchi Mayuri compliments Ishida Uryû on being able to use this technique at such a young age, suggesting that it's difficult to master.
Name: Mirror break Class: Heilig Gewalt Type: Illusion Tier: III Range: N/A Description: Lisbeth possesses the ability to fool one's sight and hearing to mirror herself, while at the same time, making herself invisible. This means that a stab aimed at someone's face is actually aimed at the back of their skull. This can be combined with other techniques.
Name: Stalemate Class: Offensive Type: Variant style Tier: V Range: 3 meters Description: Charing her rapier with gathered reishi, Lisbeth can extend her blade up to three meters with pure Reishi, this cuts like a normal physical blade, but in essence, works as a seele schneider, weaking the bonds between spirit particles.
A smirk crossed Hidane’s face when his fellow Visored reassured him that he could handle things. He had no doubt that Cae had the strength to deal with it… they’d been apart for quite some time, and while Cae had likely been honing his skills and getting stronger, he himself had merely been sitting around moping about his life, failing to progress at all. Perhaps that was why his Hollow… why now Kurosenkou was upset with him, was putting him through all of this. Perhaps it was a test, to see if he could recover his resolve, to move forward and take control of this power, to use her again to achieve his goals. Or was that too cliché? It didn’t sound right for a Hollow, but the thing inside of him was no longer purely a Hollow either. It was all still a little confusing, honestly.
Either way, the smirk disappeared when Cae suggested wanting to see what new tricks Hidane had learned over the years. That was to say, none, but he hoped to avoid a spar on their little mission-vacation here, so he hoped he wouldn’t get the chance to be a disappointment this time. The only new trick he’d learned… well, it was the source of his fear in showing Cae in the first place. It was less that he was worried about harming his friend, and more that he didn’t want his fellow Visored to see the kind of mental state it was sure to put him in. He’d not seen it himself, but he could only assume a creature ready to level half a city was not the most pleasant company for the likes of them.
He remained silent, not sure how to respond to any of the things his friend had said, and perhaps that was for the best, for only moments later, the other Visored was cut off mid-sentence as they both sensed a presence approaching. It was distant, but definitely strong, and with Reiatsu fluctuating like that, almost definitely hostile. It wasn’t until whatever this was came nearly upon them that Hidane recognized the nuances of the Reiatsu signature.
“Now that’s strange…” A Quincy, in Hueco Mundo? And a strong one at that, likely stronger than any of the others he’d come in contact with in the world of the living world, by a rather large margin. Hidane stood, slightly slouched but his muscles tense, his right hand resting on Kurosenkou’s hilt, ready to draw at a moment’s notice, his combat-ready stance that still seemed intact despite not having been in serious combat for a number of years.
And suddenly, the Quincy appeared between them, accompanied with an eerie moment of silence, immediately seeming to summon a weapon from her chest, and reaching with her other hand for what appeared to be a Seele Schneider, but almost as soon as Hidane would’ve been able to reach for it, she disappeared, her position shifting to in front of him, ready to strike his shoulder with the rapier she’d just summoned. Hidane instinctively ducked, his right hand remaining on Kurosenkou’s hilt, drawing the blade half-way out, readying it for use, though his main counter-offensive was to reach up with his left hand and grasp the Quincy’s hand, around the hilt of the rapier. Should it connect, the illusion would break, regardless of whether Hidane was aware of it or not, and Hidane would follow the momentum of her strike to attempt to throw her over his shoulder into the sand.
"That's a pretty rude introduction, don't you think? Not a very good welcoming committee, are you?"
I don't know how often or if you plan on posting still, or if Mist is still around. If he isn't, and if you're still up for it, I guess we need someone new to take over the NPC. xD
It was hard to keep track of what happened after the quincy appeared. Fighting, whether with a complete stranger or with the closest of friends, always seemed to put the vizard in two minds. On the one he wanted to end the fight as quickly as possible, not attract any attention to themselves and give them time to get away should things get dire; on the other there was Eac, a sadistic influence that bore down on his actions the longer a fight went on. Normally he wouldn't be aversed to either, Eac had proved himself as an unpredictable not no less reliable ally and should shit hit the fan Caesar knew he and his inner hollow shared similar interests. . . .at least when it came to Cae's survival, it was the presence of Dane that changed things. He couldn't afford to be carefre. . . .careless, whilst he was sure Dane was more than capable of handling himself Eac tended to create more problems than he fixed.
A soft quiver escaped his lips which he would hide by pursing them together self consciously. The [quincy's] initial attack had caught them somewhat off guard, even if they were already aware of her presence, with the attention of the intruder initially focused on Dane it wasn't long before instinct, brought on by some years of experience, would wash over Caesar's features, his features immediately relaxing where some might tense up, reassured in the doubt that his fellow vizard would not allow either of them to be killed so easily.
The illusion he didn't see coming, not for a mile off. So at ease was he with Dane that their camaraderie had, in that moment, instantly turned to their opponents advantage; so focused was he on the newcomer that, in an effort to recoup this advantage, for the briefest of moments, he lost sight of her the moment she [rather her apparation] disappeared. Only once his vision settled on her new location did he even attempt to decipher what had just happened
A perfectly executed feint?. . . . no, her body would've moved at some point during Dane's attack
There was little time left for continued deliberation, he needed to create space between them if anything simply to regroup and form some form of plan. Acting just as Dane himself ducked to avoid the quincy's 'real' attack, Cae would make his own move, aiming two quick jabs, with either fist, at the empty space that stood between him and their opponent who was nowhere near arms reach to say the least. Should his technique hopefully land she would be sent back a considerable distance (15-20m), the damage more concussive than offensive.
Dane. . .
He paused himself mid sentence, more so out of caution rather than anything. Whilst it was 2 vs 1, their opponents abilities were still unknown to both Cae and Dane, communication would be important in a battle like this but their foe was not one to be taken so lightly as to have a conversation mid fight. Even though Cae had an inkling that Dane probably knew what he was already going to say.
Watch her movements . . . there's something . . . off about them
Dark tendrils had already begun to swirl around the vizard's feet, similar to a growing whirlpool of tar that only seemed to grow in size. Veins littered his hollowfied arm more visibly now, emitting a holy blue glow with every pulse against his crimson skin. His eyes had already turned a deep violet and whilst he had yet to draw his mask, there was a foreboding sense of the inevitability of the action.
Heeeeeyyyyy, baby!
His attention now on the newcomer.
That wasn't a nice way to introduce yourself, getting us all worked up. . . .
He made no obvious move, instead he remained completely focused on her, watching and waiting. He had no clue what her powers were and so couldn't charge in recklessly. . . .just yet. A purple cero formed at his right hand, growing to the size of bowling ball before he would launch it at her with the speed of a world class baseball pitcher.
You could at least wine and dine us first before getting all hot n heavy

Lucian Nailio steps forward, the blood shed around him revolting. He had been tracing her footsteps for days, her job having obviously gotten out of hand as she was meant to go out and find prospecting help. Not murder everything that she came across. Lisbeth had this same issue before the invasion plan had originally begun, back when they were training the ranks she would outright murder entire squads just to 'test' herself. This type of mindless bloodletting irked Lucian, not in sorrow for the targets but in the loss of the help that could have been. He had finally however gotten approval for his Ausführung, the approval coming from 'Iron' Cang himself.
It was not long that he was upon them, her advances in combat being noticeable for miles to anyone with their wits about them. Suppressing himself down he was able to skirt the edge of the feild, staying behind any cover nearby until he saw an opening, her feint like attack being executed leaving her open as per the file on her stated. She was a danger, a threat to the entirity of the organization and her verdict has been passed from up on high. Lucian was the '0' the hunter of Quincy meant to remind them that they are all to stay in line or else their names should end up in his ledger.
Taking a three point stance he closes his eyes and prepares his two part technique, first his Flackerndes Licht one of three teleportation techniques handed down from Yhwach himself. This technique would teleport the user from point A to point B but a 'cross dimensional' rift would open in between the two targets, an attack at either end appearing to hit the entire length between the two. Second is his Ausführung, a personal ability granted to him by Yhwach that absorbs all the spiritual energy from the target making the shell 'implode' on itself leaving nothing but a marble sized ball of red ooze.
Yellow flashes from Lucian as he activates his Flackerndes Licht, almost as if he himself were turning to light. Then he appears just opposite of Lisbeth, her body suddenly frozen in space as his Ausfuhrung takes effect in her body. Feeling the surge of energy in her body fade Lucian holds out a small coin, the energy being released by her decaying body being absorbed by the coin like a hole leading to the void of space. Quickly tapering off, the flow of energy fades to nothing, the body curling over and collapsing in on itself until it shrinks down to the size of a marble, the audible crackle of bones sickening.
"Forgive me, Lisbeth has always lacked manners and it has finally caught up to her. My name is Lucian[Lew-See-In]. I work for his majesty as a Rouge Quincy recovery man, Lisbeth being someone that has been causing some trouble around the area for some time." Taking the coin and tucking it into his pocket he stops and assess his acquaintances. "Well I can see why she would have targeted you two, you certainly have an air of...'power' to you. More so than any other hollows in the area." Powerful indeed. He was not in the recruiting business but he could tell just from seeing these two that he was expected to bring them in as recruits or kill them so that they may not fight against them later. "And you two are?" Holding out a hand he offers a shake, no need to be uncivilized before he brings them in, certainly Vizards of this strength would be of some use.

Hidane took Cae’s advice, however obvious, in stride, but really, sitting back and planning things out extensively wasn’t exactly his style, nor was waiting to allow the enemy to have the first move. Though he’d rushed in, it wasn’t without thought; before his counter would follow through, however, it seemed that Cae had launched some sort of attack that would knock the Quincy out of the way and away from him. Well, at least he was out of a risky situation, not that he couldn’t have gotten himself out. He stood tall, brushing the sand off his legs. He drew his Zanpakuto quickly, turning towards where the Quincy would land. Weren’t Quincy supposed to be more… elegant? This one seemed a bit odd.
“Thanks, pal,” Hidane said quickly, turning his head slightly back towards Caesar, but keeping his eyes on the Quincy, ready for her to jump right back into the action.
However, it was suddenly as if she was frozen in time, unable to move a muscle. And just like that, all energy seemed to leave her, as her body folded, cracked, and crumpled into a small bit. Another presence quickly entered the area, revealing himself much closer than Hidane was comfortable, but at least this one didn’t attack immediately. Hidane looked at the newcomer carefully and took in his words; another Quincy, here in Hueco Mundo? His majesty? Rogue Quincies? It all sounded like something he’d read in an old tome once, or maybe a story book, but he couldn’t quite place it. One thing he was sure of, though, was that there was only one thing those words in this situation could mean: trouble.
Cae’s advice to watch out seemed all the more relevant now. The Quincy girl spelled trouble, but this newcomer took her out like nothing with quite a horrifying technique. Who was to say he couldn’t do that to either of them at whim?
“Hidane Asuka Koga,” he returned the introduction first, with a slight bow, “former Fifth Seat of the Kyubantai, if it matters to ya. Now, it’s quite odd seeing a Quincy in a place like this, but… two, now?” He let his Zanpakuto slip from his fingers for a moment, moving his index and middle fingers into the hole in the pommel and beginning to spin it. “That really can’t be a coincidence, eh? Especially with this talk of ‘his majesty’. So, I’ve gotta ask: what are you here for?”
Death wasn't something Caesar was unfamiliar with, heck his parents had died on him when he was barely eight, as a shinigami he'd been accustomed to slaying hollow, even now, with Eac a part of his psyche, there was still a part of him that yearned for it, to feed souls to the deep void. Seeing Lillith die however, crumpled into a pocket of space like something out of a looney toons cartoon, brought on an unsettling sense of ambivalence within the vizard like the uneasy turning of one's stomach whenever they'd eaten too much. On the one hand she was their enemy, thusly undeserving of any feeling of sympathy that the vizard had towards her, even more unsettling however was this newcomer that had taken her place. She wasn't a weakling, not by any stretch of the imagination, but the ease and. . . frankly the brutality to which she was punished for her crimes left the vizard feeling extremely on edge. . . .
Jesus! he's ruthless, the voice of Eac resonated within his thoughts, I think I'm getting a little turned on from just watching that.
Cae ignored the retort, but he also understood its meaning. Like he, Eac too was. . . .emotionally. . . . immature, being hollow this 'confusion', as it were, could easily be misconstrued to any outside observer. Yet Caesar understood clearly, after all this was but another part of himself, that only one thing would turn Eac on.
Fear.
The vizard slowly turned his head to gaze at the newcomer, his mask fully formed across his face so that the only thing Lucian would see were the deep, dark velvet irises lurking beyond the shadows of his eyes. Quincy, he'd never actually run into one up until now, heck he'd thought them dead for the last 1000 years, though there was talk about a few handful scattered across the world. . . .it was clear now that that talk was inaccurate. After all, they'd just witnessed one quincy kill another right before their very eyes.
Caesar, he replied curtly. Unlike Hidane he did not divulge mucb else, he knew how this was going to turn out, he could almost sense the inevitability coolly creeping up his spine.
King you say. . . .I'm s'posin you're not just roundin up hollow for some big inauguration party then
The dark whirlpool of reiatsu continued to swirl around his feet, one quincy had already made him raise his guard, the possibility of more. . . the possibility of a king. . . one stronger than the quincy that stood before them now. Another purple orb grew between his fingers, unlike Dane Cae didn't beat around the bush when it came to confrontation, but also he knew a fight when he saw one, they were intruders, merely from the fact of being here during whatever it was that was going on.
I'd answer my friend's question pretty quick. . .
He spoke once more then paused, the hollow aspects of his voice echoing in time with the shinigami, certain his fellow vizard knew as well. Whatever it was the quincy were doing here, the two of them had, unknowingly, stumbled across it, which made them witnesses and therefore a threat. Crushing the energy between his fingers, the vizard making a fist between his fingers as the area around them trembled softly with his reiatsu.
Your friend gave me some nasty blue balls before she died, and I get very. . . . trigger happy when im left unsatisfied.
"I suppose one courtesy really deserves another," not that these two really deserved more than his heel. One of them seemed to retain his composure, perhaps a bit of a pleasant conversation at another time but this masked man, letting his lust for combat drive him. It was appalling, and frankly he had no real draw to combat but the high sun was upon them, perhaps it was time that he spread his wings. "We have come to collect soldiers to fill the ranks of the greatest army in the world. My brothers and I are merely pawns in the grand plan of my good lords scheme, long live his soul, and strive to right the wrongs that have been enacted on us from many generations ago by Soul Society. We come bearing the banner of war, over turning the Soul Society being the only end measure while we do stand. Now the question I have for you is whether or not you would be willing to stand by us while we spill the blood that ended our clan so long ago." The energy that torrents around Lucian billows his jacket, his hand reaching up to grab his hat. Sand swirls in the wind that the reiatsu kicks up, his face twisted into a contorted grin of joy. "The High Sun is above us and I need your decision!" What would they do? This primal man seemed to be violent and that in itself was almost a good enough reason to join their ranks. There would be fighting, the likes of which being measured by the pool full in blood. The reasonable one though would be hard pressed to really even consider the offer, the chance to join into someone else's war not really appealing to those that think freely and far ahead. It was not his fight. "There is much blood to spill on the field of battle, do not waste your life here!"
Suddenly, the pieces were falling into place. Everything he was saying was lining up with a story he’d read once, but he’d always believed it just a legend. Maybe there was some truth to it after all. If there was, then trouble was an understatement in regards to what was to come. While he owed no loyalty to the Gotei 13 and its Shinigami anymore, Hidane wasn’t particularly fond of trying to slaughter them- or anyone- either. That put himself and this Quincy at an impasse, and he could already sense that Cae wanted to fight this guy too. Besides, if they took this guy out, that was one less powerful enemy in this ‘army’ to fight against Soul Society. While digging for more information from this guy was probably a good course of action, he had a feeling there wasn’t much more that he would be able to get out of him.
After all, this guy had the stereotypical high-and-mighty attitude typically attributed to Quincy of old about him, and it made Hidane sick to his stomach.
“An interesting offer, to say the least.” Hidane began, holding out his hands in a passive gesture, “Shinigami… Arrancar, Hollow… Quincy… you’re all the same, aren’t you? Always wanting to start wars, to slaughter your so-called ‘enemies’, and end everything in blood and glory. But no… I’m not a big fan of wars, especially those that haven’t started yet.” As he spoke, black Reiryoku formed over his head, neck, and shoulders, and as he finished speaking, it cleared up into a glistening white mask that covered his head like a helmet. “So, unfortunately, I’m gonna have to ask you to die here, Lucian.” A loud crack filled the air as he appeared behind the newcomer, drawing Kurosenkou from her sheath and swinging it as fast as he could towards the Quincy’s upper back.
After all, how was he supposed to know what all this guy was capable of if he didn’t force it out of him?
It was bound to come out eventually. This quincy, Lucian, needn't confirm the outcome orally, Caesar had seen it in his eyes the moment he'd killed Lisbeth. The cold killer intent, no wonder Eac had gotten so excited, this was a man with only one thing on his mind. . .slaughter, on a scale that would put even the homicidal hollow to shame. The very thought made him shiver slightly as visions of dead bodies and burning houses cut through his mind like cutscenes to a movie he'd never wanted to watch.
You can't deny me forever, Caesar
The ghostly apparition of Eac slithering into view out of the corner of the vizard's eye. You feel it too, don't you, this battle. . .
The thought brought an uncomfortable lurch in the vizard's stomach, he knew what Eac meant. Was he ready? were THEY ready? he could trust Eac to save his life, but would they save Hidane's as well, the last thing he needed was to abandon his friend in a moment of bloodlust induced stupor. But, at the same time, the circumstances weren't directly favorable towards a calm, methodical approach. They would have to rely on instinct and years of battle prowess to overcome this foe, thankfully that was something he was sure both he and Hidane had in abundance.
"There is much blood to spill on the field of battle, do not waste your life here!"
I don't think you understand . . .
Almost reassuringly Hidane would make the first move, prompting Caesar to follow in tow as the vizard instinctively drew Musaboru Hito, his fingers sliding into the holster with ease as he took aim at Lucian with a speed to make even the cowboys of the west jealous, his eyes scanning the quincy for any signs of movement. The vizard wouldn't wait long, instinct guiding him to fire at whatever limb the quincy would use to defend himself just as Hidane's own sword would come down. Whilst his aim was nothing to laugh about, Cae still opted to shoot at an angle that would not compromise his fellow vizard's own attack should the quincy choose to dodge.
Just who it is that's really throwing their life away here.
{TECHS USED} Name: Musaboru Hito (The Devourer) Type: Item - Standard Tier: VII Condition: - + 10 Range: 0-80m Description: Crafted by Kurotsuchi Mayuri himself, the Devourer is a unique firearm made with the sole purpose of destruction, appearing as an old fashioned gun with soft silver look, this weapon has been tailor made for the users hand such that it fits snugly into the palm when drawn and allows the fingers to slide deftly into the trigger, allowing for quickest draw and shoot possible, the power of the gun is also such that it allows the user to shoot with pin point accuracy for upto 80m.

Lucian was not pleased with this, to have to put down two ever so prospecting members of the spiritual world just because they did not see eye to eye was not his way. How ever his orders were clear. Any that stand with his majesty is an ally while all others are blood to water the grass. So the fight began, one fast but not so fast that he would be testing Lucians own speeds makes a step, appearing behind him so the sound of metal being drawn from sheath rings through the windy air. Ahead of him Caesar steps into action, drawing a pistol in a flash, the quick draw itself being rather impressive. With a spin Lucain responds, blue energy forming in his right hand from a cross worn on the wrist of his right hand. Blade pointing down with his right hand he parries Hidanes blade with his own quincy weapon. With his left hand he reaches out and palms the incoming bullet, an aura of energy forming around him in the high sun as he seems to draw strength from the sun. The bullet having to pass through this energy is weakened slightly so that the round explodes harmlessly against his Blut enhances skin.
"It is good of you to act together, I would feel ashamed if I were to cut you down one at a time. It is not the fighting chance that I would normally like to give," With a spin and a quick low kick Lucian drives his foot upwards at Hidanes core, his body spinning mid air as he tries to regain his footing. Standing back up he dives, nearly head first as fast as his Hirenkyaku can carry him towards Caesar, his blade sweeping wide and fast at waist level as he attempts to step past the obviously more developed Vizard.

[High noon] - Reishi Tech Grants the Quincy a Tier IV defense in the form of a white energy barrier directly tied to the position of the sun and the quincies exposure to the light. While you have the advantage from your mask this tech is enough to weaken the bullet so that his Blut negates it to nothing.

355 words | CAESAR CAERO and Lucian are present | THEME: N/A
What are you doing?
Kurosenkou’s voice resounded with the kick hitting his gut swift and hard, knocking him back, but reacting quickly the onyx-haired Visored would thrust his parried blade down into the sand, allowing him to quickly regain balance on the ground and assess the situation. A black cross of Reiryoku appeared in the white iris of his right eye; fighting a Quincy in a place like this was going to be trouble, for sure, and he would need every edge he could get. By the time he’d recovered and gotten his bearings, the Quincy’s attempted attack on Caesar would have already gone through, so he could only trust his friend to be able to protect himself; however, he would not waste the chance to jump back into the action.
You’ve seen your future. Why not just join up with ‘em?
The image flashed through his mind of the steps to the Sokyoku, buildings ablaze and corpses strewn about the courtyard. Then it was gone. It was an image she’d shown him several times, claiming it to be ‘the future’.
It wasn’t any future he intended on seeing.
With his eye active, he could see the trail of Reishi where the Quincy had stepped and immediately followed the same trail, appearing about two meters behind where the Quincy would have come out of his own step to attack Caesar. Hidane, his blade held low, drew it forward and up in a wide swing, a shockwave of energy soaring from the blade’s edge towards the Quincy. Not enough to cleave him in half, but certainly enough to do some damage.
You can’t avoid it forever.
Not aiming to leave any openings, should the Quincy choose to block the attack, Hidane would immediately follow up with a snap as his Sonido would close the gap between the two, bringing his blade back down towards the Quincy right behind his previous attack, the teeth of his mask curled up in a wicked grin.
That future is not mine, and I’ll stop anyone that tries to make it a reality. Now, can we focus on staying alive today?

NAME: Susamajisuto [Fierce Strike] CLASS: Weapon Skill TIER: IV TYPE: Offensive RANGE: 50 Meters DESCRIPTION: This is a stronger version of Nodokasuto, able to cut through sturdy physical structures and cause more significant damage to opponents one rank below and even some damage to equal ranked opponents.
NAME: Nodokasuto [Calm Strike] CLASS: Weapon Skill TIER: II TYPE: Offensive RANGE: 50 Meters DESCRIPTION: This is a simple technique that releases a quick charge of Reiryoku through the user's blade as they swing their weapon. This can be used with any weapon, though is mostly used with sword-type weapons. The result is that the strength of the swing is increased slightly, and a brief, piercing shockwave is released in the direction of the swing. This is mostly used for show or for clearing away smoke, though the shockwave can cause significant damage to weak physical structures or significantly weaker opponents.
This quincy was certainly the cocky type, something Cae himself was particularly fond of in his own fights, but arrogance was a double edged sword whose bite was just as vicious when self inflicted. Still the vizard couldn't blame Lucian for being cocky given the skill he had just demonstrated to block both their attacks almost effortlessly. As Lucian spun around to kick Hidane with an alarming speed, the vizard pulls back the hammer of his own pistol with his thumb, dark reiatsu seeping into the chambers.
Looks like one shot's not gonna cut it
Eac smirked childishly at him within his own psyche.
Thank you, Captain Obvious, for that astute observation. What would I ever do without you?
The reply equally as sarcastic as it was childish.
Die
As the quincy dives towards him, instinct, fueled by muscle memory, kicks in as the vizard tucks the pistol closer to his side, fanning the hammer rapidly with his free hand, the motion itself almost a blur as a torrential barrage of black bala in their hundreds erupts from his gun. A simple spray and pray tactic, the vizard hoping that the sheer number of bala (900) would swallow up the space in front of him in an attempt to discourage the quincy's frontal assault.
This would also serve as camouflage for his secondary attack, or rather defense, the sheer number of bala giving off the appearance of a blanket of darkness as a cero charges on the nape of his neck. More precautionary than anything, in case his opponent managed completely circumvent all the bala and attack him from behind, he would find a not too pleasant surprise waiting for him. Alternatively should the quincy continue his frontal assault the cero would simply move to the front of his chest and fire as well.
Fighting chance?. . . .I guess we know why you guys were killed off, your sense of humor is terrible

Name: Bala (Hollow Bullet) Class: Cero/Bala Type: Offensive Range: Long range Tier: I Description: A weaker but quicker alternative to regular Cero blasts. The technique hardens the user's spiritual pressure and fires it at around twenty times the speed of a Cero.
Name: Dark Lord's Cero Class: Cero/Bala Type: Offensive Range: Long range Tier: IV-VI IV Description: As a master of the hollow flash, Cae has tainted the attack his own color, such that ever cero he now fires is a dark purple in color, in addition to this the power of the cero can be amplified by the vizard ranging from its base power to its highest power, with that versatility has been added to the cero in that the cero can be fired from any point on the vizards body as well as any weapon they're holding, making it an adequate defense as well as an ample offense.
NOTES : For some reason I thought that this was happening durring the day and was corrected by Dane. As such all writing will continue as if it were night time, just sub in the past together so we dont have to go back and rewrite.
My my, he certainly is a quick one. Lucian watches a wall of Bala approach with no chance to dodge, the bright moon overhead granting him his 'Aufregung' or his 'Flurry'. The first bala impacted with next to no damage, rolling off his shoulder with the force of being hit by a tennis ball to a regular human but the wall that was approaching was still impressive. He could draw on his cross and try to shoot them all down but then he would have to change his entire tactic, something that he did not care for doing. Almost insync with the impact of the second bala he activates the technique, the bala finding nothing to keep purchase on and passes through him leaving a hole the size of a fist.
Then the wall hits, his body being turned into a exploding cloud of what could only be assumed as leaves, fluttering to the ground slowly before surging back to a single point. "I suppose a thousand years of pretending you are dead will do that to you." The voice comes from no precise location but from the general location of the leaves, the last of them settling together as his body reforms as he is still mid step, the Cero launching at him while he does not slow his approach from the front. Hitting him on the left shoulder while he dips right the impacted portion of the torso explodes into more leaves, his right side still unharmed as he slashes downwards with his blade across where he holes Caesar's chest is. Reversing the blade in his one hand at the base of the swing he thrusts forward into what he believes is the thigh of the the Vizard he leans right and turns once more into a cloud of leaves, his form vanishing into the flurry of rustling leaves.
Tech description - Has the ability to turn to leaves at will, not requiring that his whole body turn to leaves. Each leaf has the Blut damage reduction so damaging the leaves is difficult but even then he is able to reform the damaged leaves back into the body.

Think about it, bro, Kurosenkou’s Hollowed voice rang in his head, what have they done for you since all of this started?
Well, a few tried to apprehend me, but otherwise they’ve left me well enough alone.
Maybe your luck isn’t all bad. But how long will it keep up?
Hidane shook the thoughts out of his head, and Kurosenkou’s voice with it. Not the time to be having a moral dilemma, or at least for the voices in his head to be wanting him to have one. The Quincy cut his step short, and Hidane did right behind him, as Cae’s wall of Bala approached. A grin crossed Hidane’s face, his blade falling in place as the Bala would strike; however, instead, the Quincy burst into a flurry of leaves, sifting through the Bala like through a strainer, and instead Hidane’s attacks tore through the wall of Bala, allowing him to move through uninterrupted, and continue to follow the Quincy as he reformed in front of Caesar.
That was quite the interesting trick, that; if Hidane’s eye hadn’t been active, he might have even missed it. Depending on how often he could do that, in what conditions, that would make this fight only that much more difficult.
“Not so fast,” Hidane would call out, reaching out with his left hand, palm open, Reiryoku flying out and filling the air around the Quincy as he would try to bring his blade down on Caesar, suddenly thickening, any motion suddenly stopping. It would only last for a split second, but the sudden stop of motion and the need to reinitiate it, he could only hope, would be enough for Caesar to react and deliver a counter-attack.

NAME: Perpetuo [Perpetual] CLASS: Hollow Techniques TIER: III TYPE: Defensive RANGE: Self DESCRIPTION: This technique utilizes the user's Reiryoku to create a small to medium area within which the user will momentarily have complete control over all kinetic energy. Using this technique, the user may freely increase or decrease kinetic energy within the space, giving them complete control over the movement of all physical or spiritual matter or energy that are within the space or enter the space. This technique can be used to rapidly accelerate or decelerate the user's movement by propelling a limb or their entire body in one direction or another, to change the speed or direction at which an enemy is moving or directing an attack to throw them off balance or to create an opening for other attacks, or to create a sudden explosion in kinetic energy from a small point, resulting in a shock wave capable of pushing enemies back a fair distance (roughly 50 meters at the most, though at the cost of also catching the user with the shock wave if one is not careful). These are, of course, just a few ways in which the technique can be utilized, and does not encompass the entire potential of the technique.
OOC: due to weird posting order, im not going to assume dane's attack auto lands and will let gage respond to it however he will in his post, as such this post will continue as though cae is unaware of dane's intent.
He hadn't anticipated the little houdini act Lucian employed, avoiding the majority of the damage from both his barrage of bala and cero respectively. Cursing himself the vizard reached for his zanpakuto with his free hand all the whilst stiffening his body for the cold bite of the quincy's blade, knowing full well that he had been bested this round and that he could would not be able to react in time to stop the blow from landing but he could stop it from doing the damage that it intended. The words already rolling off his lips in a soft, almost inaudible whisper.
Extinguish their light, Demon King
Should the quincy's gaze fall upon his hand as he drew his zanpakuto he would find his. . . . *very thoughts smothered in a tar like darkness that would rob him of all coherent thought, drawing his psyche deep into his very subconscious itself. There he would find himself sinking into the very tar of his thoughts like a creature caught in quicksand.
He would find himself quickly coming to almost seconds later, should his attention fall on Caesar he would find the only a cold, piercing gaze but surprisingly the vizard would empty handed, almost immediately after his eyes would be drawn to the blade protruding from his chest as blood cascaded from the wound forming a pool of crimson near the quincy's feet. Suddenly the pool itself would become jet black as pair after pair of crimson eyes would form, each gazing hungrily at the quincy.
Oh dear. . . .
The tone in the vizards voice cool and uncaring, bearing an ominous air about it.
It seems you've made them very hungry.
His voice would be drowned out by the whispers of hollows as the pool of black blood began to be stained with white teeth like some pizza experiment gone wrong.
SO HUNGRY!
The voices would scream in unison before launching themselves at Lucian.
. . only drew a portion of the blade, allowing his Nihilisis illusion to kick in, once he was sure the quincy was dazed the vizard would draw his blade completely before turning to face Hidane and flashing a rather eerire ominous grin, more savage than happy, though it was masked by his mask he was sure his friend could see the way his eyes curved so . . . . malevolently.
{TEKS n CDs} Name: Dark Lord's Cero Class: Cero/Bala Type: Offensive Range: Long range Tier: IV-VI IV Description: As a master of the hollow flash, Cae has tainted the attack his own color, such that ever cero he now fires is a dark purple in color, in addition to this the power of the cero can be amplified by the vizard ranging from its base power to its highest power, with that versatility has been added to the cero in that the cero can be fired from any point on the vizards body as well as any weapon they're holding, making it an adequate defense as well as an ample offense. CD COUNTE: 1/1
Name: Nihilisis Class: Shikai Tier: III Type: Illusion Range: 0-50m Description: A powerful illusion that is activated by looking at the user's blade. The victims thoughts are aborted or prevented from being conceived, rather than mind control the thought is simply smothered by the darkness of the victims mind [akin to the moment where you forget what you were going to do only to remember it moments later]. The effect is very similar to, if not mirrors, forgetfulness causing the victim to,temporarily, not even register what is going on even as it is happening. This technique lasts for one post.
Name: Shroud Realm Class: Shikai Tier: IV Type: Illusion Range: 0-50m Description: When under the user's Nihilisis technique, the victim enters the second stage of the illusion, Shroud Realm. In Shroud realm the user prolongs the illusion for a further post and renders the user invisible and completely unhearable to the victim(s), in addition the user may create a secondary illusion of their preference to throw off the victim(s) movements, these illusions look and sound real to the victim. This illusion targets the victims(') sense of sight and hearing in order to completely mask the user's presence though any form of contact they make with the victim breaks the illusion completely, in addition to this any form real contact the victim(s) experience from an outside source whilst under the illusion will also break it.
The victim has to be under the effects of Nihilisis for this technique to work and can be negated by a rei flare of equivalent tier.
(Basically the secondary illusion is what Quincy is seeing in the post I typed [should be marked with a *])
