"I missed the limited edition beta trail, but I won't miss first release day!"
The clattering of uneven wheels filled the air around the girl as she tried to move her chair as fast as she could. Today was the first release day of a new MMORPG game she had been dying to play. However because of her chair needing repairs and her recent training sessions with her mom she had missed getting the beta trail version that also gave limited edition gear for your character so she was a bit sour about that. While the repairs had still been half done she was not going to miss this day no matter what, even if she was hit by a car she would get that game on the first release day! Holding the right wheel gently to perform a wide turn to get to the nearest game stop she knew.
'Of course, the reason I never came here ... Stairs...' Eevee looked up with burning hatred for wheelchair's worst nightmare, stairs. The fifteen steps all that more imposing to her with the busted up right wheel of her chair having used it to not only hit a hollow but destroy a music box. (Long story for another time.) But also because of the game being posted up in the window made it seem like a reward for a final boss battle. Her focus quickly moving from the left to the right looking to see if anyone was watching only to see a few people looking at her because she was breathing heavily and made a bit of noise on her arrival. 'If I could get to the railing I might be able to wheel myself up, or maybe find a place to use my human powers without being noticed...' The thoughts raced through her head of the many choices she had to overcome this boss battle.

There was decent money in playing games. Streamers made an honest buck however Justin wasn’t one for sitting down with thousands watching. The act made him feel uncomfortable, but, he did enjoy the occasional Stream with a fellow gamer he meet online some years ago. A tired Justin awoke after only two hours sleep. His mind wouldn’t shut off after working on a seemingly never ending Quest Line in World of Warcraft. After a lukewarm shower and morning tea he decided on getting breakfast.
His growling stomach signified dressing fancy wasn’t needed. It was morning after all. Well, it was morning in Justin’s eyes. He wore a simple gray long sleeve shirt with black cargo shorts and black shoes. He yawned, hands in pockets as he made his way across the nearly empty streets. Not many people were around this time of day which made getting across town easy. He was headed towards a local tea-shop he frequented, wanting to hang out with a friend of his who was in middle school.
Despite him being twenty-two and her only fourteen Justin got along with her very well. In a way she became his best friend during his stay in Japan. But, while on his way he had taken notice of a wheelchair. She wanted to go up the stairs from what Justin could tell. He figureds someone was around to help guide her through town but there didn’t seem to be anyone that was, or who was going to help her. An annoyed Justin faintly smiled with a melancholic expression on face. He approached her with hands in pockets and leaned up against the nearby wall.

That new game hype!
"I missed the limited edition beta trail, but I won't miss first release day!"
Many things dented Eevee's pride, but none more than people offering to help her get upstairs. But as she moved her chair around and grabbed the railing with one hand and her other around the wheel before lightly growling might have been going too far. "I can manage myself. Not the first staircase I have had to go up and it won't be my last." The cold tone was laced with a sleepless droning and a few deep breaths before she hit the first step and began to pull the chair upward. One thing people seem to forget was the upper body strength of those in wheelchairs, however this was not Eevee's case as she fell back down the steps after the third.
Her eyes flickering with hate as she looked over her weak frame, the figure that offered help, then went to try again. Pride was her strongest flaw, no matter how many times she fell down stairs trying to get up them on her own she never asked or accept help. Falling down again she cussed before looking for a different approach. 'If these steps had railings on both sides I could drag myself and chair up... I could risk my legs ...' Eevee looked down at her legs to match her train of thought. Her mom did say she needed to slowly try and start using them again, but was going up stairs the best plan for returning to walking?
The female’s completely foolish defiance filled with pride stung. He was disappointed but tried hiding it underneath a rough and irritated smile. Being turned down help when offered bothered Justin immensely more than should. Despite not being very good with most people, due to a different sense of humor and thinking process, he still tried being a good person where possible. Adapting to the ever constantly changing ebb and flow of social standards, commonsense and good sense confused him.
He watched on with a judgmental, stoic, expression as if looking down on her waiting for her to fail as she had her back turned towards him. The feeling within his chest, he somewhat wanted her to fail, but the thought sickened him and he quickly tossed that sickened emotion aside when she started rolling back harshly. Open arms quickly wrapped around the back and underneath her ribs, the wheelchair slamming against his chest. His only problem, Justin was leaned back a bit far where it was hurting him.
With a pained back he snickered in pain. “Oh man, you are a real pain in my lower back.” Justin ignored any complaints she might have and picked up the whole wheel chair from underneath, holding good onto the frame and keeping his balance, barely, while slowly making his way up the stairs. “These good deeds are going to be the death of me.” Justin said to nobody, mostly a complaint for doing honest and good work, even if it was not the right way his intentions were good.
“There!” He said, setting her down. Falling backwards he grabbed hold of the single rail to prevent hiself from falling down the stairs.

That new game hype!
"I missed the limited edition beta trail, but I won't miss first release day!"
Eevee rarely freaked out in the past, but ever since her powers started to wake up it happen weekly. This time because the boy had touched her and her chair causing her to slam her head backwards to try and hit him to get set free. "I Said I don't need help! I also did not say or will ever say you can touch me!" She wasted no time if she was set down to spin her chair so she could face the boy. Her eyes flickering with nervous anger as her face was fully red from being touched by a boy without even getting their name.
However her anger was not going to stop with just shouting at the boy. Placing her right hand firmly on the armrest as she pushed herself up. Her free hand removing her glasses as her gray eyes turned blood red, her short hair growing out, and her clothing changing into a samurai like attire. She stood eye level to Justin before she opened her mouth again. "The next time you try and touch me, you might need to find a doctor who can stich two halves of someone back together." An empty threat as she had no weapon on her but reaching to her hip to signal she just might follow through on the spot.

How the female even stood up baffled Justin immensely. Eyes widened with forearms crossing making an X symbol showing what went on wasn't right. "Nope, this isn't happening!" Justin spoke towards himself rather than Eevee while shaking his head. His step back was costly for his health, because falling down an entire flight of stairs hurt. Justin ended up with his back against the concrete from where they originally started from, his whole middle and upper body sore.
"I didn't sign up to be in a movie!" Said Justin, pointing towards the sky and cameras that were not present. If he really was in a movie, or one of those prankster shows, Justin wasn't happy. While the idea of his face being on the big screen sounded lovely falling down a flight of stairs wasn't, nor was a woman faking being injured! "What kind of person fakes being in a wheelchair!?" Justin exclaimed sitting up ribbing the back of his head with right arm, using left to keep himself halfway up. "Freaking faker, karma's gonna be a hell'a cruel on you."
He stood up, rubbing his lower back with both hands and complained to himself. "I'm getting to old for this." A joke, but even talking gave him a headache right now.

"I missed the limited edition beta trail, but I won't miss first release day!"
Eevee did not have the time nor urge to explain how she was standing to the boy. It was bad enough she went and used her powers in plain daylight so she chose to fold her chair and go into the game store mumbling to herself. 'It's not like I like to only be able to walk in this form... plus I don't lie walking in my normal form could break my legs just from supporting my weight...' While it was mostly just thoughts it was just enough that she spoke it faintly as she looked for the game of interest.
The chair was hard to hold as she moved around but she was not going to sit in the chair to move about the store as she liked to walk when she could. Looking through the new released games only to find very copy of the game had already been sold. Her right eye twitching with anger as she stormed out of the game store looking for the boy so she could blame him. 'If not for him picking me up and wasting my time talking to him I might have gotten the last copy... now I have to go to the other store meaning the time wasted going up the stairs was for nothing!' Eyes flickered with rage as she stormed down the steps and began looking for a place to switch her powers off.
