As a followup question in regards to this thread. I have a small question I was hoping could be answered. And while I'll admit its a bit niche. Its still one that's been bugging me. Lets say I have a human character and have them spec into Stepping. Capping their Reiatsu Control in the process. Now while I'm aware that if something happens and that character dies and becomes a Shinigami their specialization mastery would be stuck at Stepping. That's something i dont have much of an issue with. My question relates to the mastery that was capped. Say I end up gaining access to a brand new mastery. Would I be forced to keep the mastery I have capped instead of changing it to one of the newer ones? Could I instead cap Kido and continue to bring my Reiatsu Control to mastered? As another part of the question. Can a human or Sub-Shinigami cap masteries like Soul Synchro or Soul Resonance? It stands to reason that they could considering they are also masteries you can specialize in.

You can only cap non-optional masteries. Soul-synchro at least is optional. Not 100% sure about Soul Resonance.
As far as I'm aware, if you can't change specializations, you can't change caps either. But mods would need to confirm that.
