Gwen was stood, her resurrection pouring heat. She was trying to recall... Trying to emulate one of the powers she had possessed as a hollow. She had trained many of the abilities of her resurrectión almost to perfection. However she knew she wasn't done. There were still more she had to master before she could truly have mastered her release. And part of that was regaining her old powers. Her memories, for some reason, were a little hazy. However she knew that she had manifested a kind of companion, that she could summon to aid her in battle. It was immediately apparent to Gwen that this companion would be moth-like. And so here she stood. She began condensing her reiatsu as much as she could. She shaped it, formed it. Made it tangible. She imagined what manner of beast would be hers to command. She pictured a golden aura of fire, and pumped more and more heat into coalescing ball of reiatsu before her. She gave it horns to mirror her own, and large wings, three on each side. She saw them take shape, as the blindingly bright reiatsu began pulsing. She formed its head; insectlike, with piercing blue eyes.

Its ruff, bright white feathers, the rest of the body tapering to an elegant point. She poured more and more reiatsu in, and it got more and more solid, until it seemed finally to completely manifest itself. Gwen felt a surge of triumph as it completed and something clicked inside her. At that moment however, the summon exploded into fiery oblivion, and she had to flap her wings quickly to avoid getting overwhelmed by the fire. Damn. Well it was the first time she'd done it, it was unrealistic to expect it not to be at least a little unstable.
Perhaps if she tried again, now that she had the image of the thing in her head, it would work. She pictured the mothlike creature had had appeared before her, but the longer she thought about it the more uncertain she seemed. Perhaps, a sun behind it? Ahh yes the halo worked. Spots on the wings and the body too... Yes. Once again she pieced together the creature and slowly poured reiatsu into forming it. It reached critical mass, and there was a bright flash of fire as the new, slightly improved spectre appeared before her, in all its blazing glory.

However it was still unstable, and flashed out of existence in a wave of fire. Gwen shielded herself with a pulse of reiatsu. It didn't matter it had failed. It would, and could succeed from now on. She had completed the forme of the summon and fixated it into her mind, though it was hardly necessary. It was a part of her soul, and now she had taken what was inside and had channelled it for the first time she should be able to repeat. She summoned the moth creature, pouring reiryoku into forming its frame. It appeared before her, and she gently raised a hand to stroke its face, feeling the burning, searing heat of its reiatsu. It rumbled deeply, before it began to shudder, dripping molten fire, as it burned itself once more out of existence. She watched after it forlornly. She had put more energy in this time without being certain to bind it into existence for sufficiently long. After a brief moment's pause, Gwen focused the image of the summon in her head and gave it physical form. It settled into existence before her, and began to flit around excitedly, and she smiled, satisfied. It was done.
