Kenji Matsumoto [MELTED]

    Upon shouting his activation phrase, Kenji is bathed in a bright light, mimicking the color of whatever celestial body is available to provide him with energy. This also determines the color of his gauntlets, when they, too visualize.

    If the Sun or a similar celestial entity is available, he will be bathed in golden light and will form a pair of gauntlets, golden in color, but formed from his reiryoku. His clothing will also take on golden and white accents, though this is merely an aesthetic. The gauntlets themselves will have a silver gem placed directly in the palm, which are used as the foci for Kenji's techniques. When engaged in close quarters combat, he may utilize either his gauntlets, or he may sacrifice his gauntlets in order to form a weapon from reiryoku. This weapon is very similar to a double-ended scepter, with two bright yellow orbs on either end and a solid, silver shaft approximately five meters in length. This scepter can be used much like a quarterstaff, and the orbs on either end may be utilized as the foci for his techniques in exchange for the gauntlets.

    If the Moon or a similar celestial entity is available, he will be bathed in a siler light and will form a pair of gauntlets, pale blue in color, but formed from his reiryoku. His clothing will also take on silver and pale blue accents, though this is merely an aesthetic. The gauntlets themselves will have a navy blue gem placed directly in the palm, which are used as the foci for Kenji's techniques. When engaged in close quarters combat, he may utilize either his gauntlets, or he may sacrifice his gauntlets in order to form a weapon from reiryoku. This weapon is very similar to a double-ended scepter, with two bright blue orbs on either end and a solid, silver shaft approximately five meters in length. This scepter can be used much like a quarterstaff, and the orbs on either end may be utilized as the foci for his techniques in exchange for the gauntlets.

    If no celestial entity is available, he will be bathed in the color of his reiatsu and will form a pair of steel-colored gauntlets with an opaquely grey gem placed directly in the palm. His clothing will not change colors. Kenji may NOT change the form of his gauntlets if no celestial entity is available to draw from and must use the gauntlets as his primary close quarters combat weapon, utilizing the gems in the palms as the foci for his powers.

Description: A gravitational field of approximately 10 meters in radius forms around Kenji, inflicting a 1.5x speed debuff on anyone who is not Kenji. This gravitational field has two purposes - the first is its direct effect, of providing a gravitational field that makes it difficult for those around Kenji to move effectively. This field also affects those who are spiritually unaware, making them feel generally lethargic and as though they are attempting to navigate a field of slightly increased gravity.


The second purpose is to provide a field of relative influence for Kenji. This gravitational field acts directly like a celestial body's gravity well - providing Kenji with a maximum range for his release abilities. Any release abilities that manage to reach the gravitational well's boundaries dissipate and fizzle out with exponentially diminishing returns, resulting in effective neutralization within one meter away from the well.


The gravity well can be determined by a faint circle of Reiyroku around Kenji's person, with Kenji himself at the epicenter. The circle can only be identified by an individual with reiatsu control mastery equivalent to Kenji, or higher. Otherwise, individuals attempting to identify the range of the gravity well will have to do so by trial and error.

Description: Kenji is able to focus his Reiryoku into his core, expanding the dense field of Reiatsu that forms the gravity well of his release state.

This is considered a Tier III technique and increases the gravity well's range from 10m to 20m. This also increases the gravity well's debuff from 1.5x to 2x. At this rank, it lasts for 7 posts before it must be re-activated. This decreases the required mastery level to sense its radius by one.

Description: By harnessing the energy from whatever celestial body he is able to, whether it be the Sun, Moon, or otherwise, Kenji is able to fire a projectile of Reiyroku by utilizing his armguards as foci for the ability.

In the case that the moon [or a similar energy source] is available, this technique will fire a projectile approximately four meters in length and less than one-half meter in width, with a distinctive crescent shape that deals Tier III damage.

In the case that the sun [or a similar energy source] is available, this technique will fire a projectile two meters in diameter and spherical, that deals Tier III damage.

In the case that there is no distinctive major energy source available, this technique will fire a beam that is one meter in diameter and will render this ability unusable for one post. This technique travels at Half-Bala Speed. While indoors, this technique requires a distinct charging period that allows the opponent to attempt to defend themselves as though the projectile were moving at Cero Speed. Kenji can utilize an available energy source while indoors provided it is in the same spiritual dimension as he is.

Description: Kenji utilizes his own reiryoku as the energy source and his gauntlets as the foci in order to fire two bolts of reiryoku at his opponents. These projectiles are approximately two-thirds of a meter in diameter and deal Tier II damage. He is capable of firing one bolt from each of his gauntlets in this fashion. This technique travels at Bala Speed.
