Tsukimizu, Takumi
The day was definitely one more on the dreary side for most people, but Takumi absolutely loved days like today. It was mid afternoon and there was as light drizzle falling upon the buildings, the wooden housing clicking softly upon the minuscule impacts caused by the falling water. Takumi had just finished his rounds for the day, having tended to a broken arm, several gashes from bad training exercises, an amateur kido user who was attempting to learn Sokatsui and failed miserably (Though Takumi understood, he had a little trouble himself with that spell) and ended up tattered in minor burns that put him out of service for a day and the next. He had tended to the burns, and had given the young shinigami a special ointment that was resistent to heat to help him get through learning the spell. For some reason Takumi felt compelled and had also given him some tips on how to handle the spell, which was well received by the injured boy.
After dismissing him, he had closed down his station and taken off for the training grounds, aware that his night was just beginning. He had a long way to go himself in terms of his own improvements and Takumi figured it was better to start now than to regret it later. He had brought his zanpakuto with him just in case, but he was more looking to kill some time tonight. Secretly, he hoped for any form of distraction that would keep him from doing his exercises today because he honestly wasn´t up for it. He dragged himself over to a bench and sat down, opening up his shihakusho to let the rain fall down over him. He was warm, and if there was anything Takumi loved more than anything was the touch of rain on his skin.
Well, not more than ANYTHING, but it was definitely second best to the rough touch of another man. He giggled to himself stupidly and looked up at the sky, drops dripping off his hair and cheeks as he felt his clothing grow heavier as it soaked up the rainwater. He wiped a few drops away from his forehead, before they reached his eyes and sat up straight. He looked around and saw a few different shinigamis, seemingly from different squads, working on their own crafts. A particular one caught his eye because of his impressive physique, looking quite well toned and he didn't have a bad face either. For a second, Takumi considered maybe asking him to spar just to talk to the guy and see if he could wiggle his way into the man's bed, but he figured it was better to actually do something productive. Plus, the dude looked pretty busy smacking away at a stone-filled hanging sack and an interruption might not be welcome.
Takumi resigned himself to take up his training and stood, the bench creaking slightly as his weight was lifted from the bench. His dark brown hair had grown darker still and clung to his face, slick and shiny from the rain. He brushed it about with his hand to free some of the water, and pointed his hand a target far off in the distance, ensuring not to hit anything. He began to mutter under his breath and he concentrated and drew forth his reiryoku, a film of translucent, blue water-like reiatsu covering his body.
"Ye Lord! Mask of flesh and bone, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Truth and temperance, Upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws!" He said, the words slipping off his tongue quickly and precisely. Having become a medic led to being with meticulous with the way he stated things and had sharpened his focus greatly. Maybe it was his sharp focus that made him a good healer, he never really knew but he was glad it complimented well.
An electric blue orb of fiery energy appeared in front of his open palm, sizzling and steaming up as the water evaporated from it's surroundings.
"Hado no San Ju San: SOKATSUI." Takumi said with authority, willing his reiryoku to snap forth in a wave of blue fire, the great blue lotus of flames that was the thirty-third destructive spell the kid this morning hadn't been able to use. It flew off with a sizzle and the air bent around it, the atmosphere around Takumi growing far warmer for a moment as the heat blast incinerated a far off target. The blue fire scattered after impacting the straw doll he had selected, the charred and sizzling remains being put out by the drizzle that kept falling from the sky. Lowering his slender arm, Takumi took a deep breath and inspected his work, proud of the fact that he could manage some mid ranged kido at this point. He knew he was far from getting into the advanced levels, but he was definitely making progress. He looked around to be sure nobody was put off by his display of magic, nor that anybody had somehow been affected and he was glad it wasn't the case. Takumi turned his deep blue eyes to the distance and noticed that the rain was growing stronger.
"If I was normal, I'd be worried about catching a cold, but I guess having powers based on water has it's perks." He thought, amused by the fact that he hadn't caught a cold from being out in the rain since he graduated from the Shinigami Academy, shortly after learning his zanpakuto's name.
A single strand of hair fell off his head and he snapped back to reality and out of his thoughts, annoyed that his hair wouldn't stay in place. He swept it aside and shifted into a different stance, his hand on his blade. He figured he might as well start doing some sword play training. He loosened the blade and put it in front of him as he exhaled.
