To say that this young soul stands out, would most certainly be an understatement indeed. With his towering height and distinctive features, there are very few who would fail to recognize him even from a distance. Carrying long amethyst colored hair, all of which flow in soft waves and fall into place a quarter of the way down this soul's back, stopping not far past his shoulders. Eyes a deep hazel brown that reflect a mischievous yet almost innocent nature about them. Couple all this with a lithe body shape, and it isn't hard to see why he is assumed to be a little more feminine than his peers. While his facial features are far more masculine then other parts of his body, the personification others have of his body is not aided by the Shihakushō he wears upon his body. In recent months however, he now wears this traditional garb with a sleeveless upper half and in turn lessening that feminine misconception other Shinigami have of this young man.

A Life Alone

Being born in the first place for this boy was a miracle unto itself, a certain little boy named Lee Chi Hoon. The boy with short fluffy brown hair and a smile bright enough to light up an entire room full of people. Chi Hoon had been brought into the world of the living, his two human parents bringing him into the world within the country of South Korea. Like many Korean children his age, early on, he was given many boundaries and even then he listen and did as behaved as he was expected to. A golden child many of his families friend's had said. And as he grew that thought about this little boy remained, always the good child, always smiling and happy. Or at least from a distance he most certainly seemed to be, because as the old saying goes. Never judge a book by it's cover. This saying without a doubt applied to this young man, far more than many were even aware of at the time.

As this young man grew older, his view on the world naturally changed and while that same bright smile rarely left him it came to hold an entirely unrelated meaning. One that rarely spoke of happiness anymore. It was at the age of fourteen that Chi Hoon lost his beloved mother, he'd always been close to her, far more a mother's boy than his father's son. It devastated him, but what hurt more was his father's response to all of this. He didn't care. Or at least, he didn't seem to in this young man's eyes. It was cruel, cowardly and most of all, irritating. Why didn't he care, was it something he'd done? Was it his fault? With doubt creeping in, it wasn't long until things began to unravel altogether. And while it took a good few years, the spiral downwards had already begun.

Over the years that followed, the distance created after his mother's death only increased further and further. Chi Hoon spending most of his days with his mother's parents, his father far too busy working to even spare him a single glance. Too caught up in his own world to worry about his growing son and while he had friends, very good friends, it simply wasn't the same. Everyone wanted their family... didn't they? In his father's case, perhaps not. As the years passed by, while the generally happy teen did enjoy his life, he wasn't completely happy and without his father he didn't believe he ever would be. So, an attempt was made, they talk, they spoke but all it did was cause many arguments. The mere mention of his mother's name seemed to set his father off, and after a few weeks of trying, it appeared that it wasn't going to work.

And it didn't. Not at all. These fights continued on and off over the years and by the time Chi Hoon had reached the maturing age of twenty one, he was done. The usually non-confrontational boy turned man now fought back, and after finding money disposed into his account, supposedly everything he would have gained had they still been on good terms. That was the last he heard of his father. So in a fit of anger, frustration and sheer irritation, he left. Left his homeland and headed for Kyoto, Japan. Landing in a country he'd only visited once before turned out to be just a little more than daunting.
