The white sands of hueco mundo. A barren wasteland of blood, slaughter and...more blood. Beasts of every shape and size, always hungry, always lustful for more. A disgusting desert of barbarism, and in the setting at hand, a war of such barbarism was taking place. A war between two dozen unclassified, and a single adjuchas. Hollow that is, someone decided thier name years ago and for some reason they went with it.
One by one, the unclassifieds sunk into the sand, followed by a fountain of blood exploding from the ground. The others snapping at the floor, some digging and others started to claw at eachother. But every few seconds, another would disapear. Something below the sands was hungry, and the fools above had not figured out they were in the killzone yet. One of them jumped just in time to avoid it, a giant claw scraping thier leg where it had tried to grab him, sinking back down with a single eye appearing for a second.
The beast below was insatiable, taking them out one at a time, some got a screech or roar out before they were taken. But most did not have the time to do anything. Those times the claws were evaded, the others would jump on that spot, trying to find where it had gone, but to no avail as the hollow next to them would sink down as well. It was very simple, when you are in a food chain, don't be the food.
Techniques used:
Name: Diggy loves Digging Class: Hand to Hand Tier: I Type: Supplementary/passive Range: Self Description: This passive allows Diggy to dig through objects at high speeds as though he were simply swimming through it, regardless of material(Unless tiered at II or higher) for as long or as often as he likes. The action of digging is more of a trigger than the cause of the hole, the act causing the hole to form before him, allowing him to dig a hole as big as he does at the speed that he does it. He does not suffer from suffocation, pressure or loss of direction.
She'd been walking for a while now, sauntering across the vast white sands of Hueco Mundo without much of a care in the world. Though now she was beginning to get hungry, which meant food was now a necessity. Well it always was, but for the most part she could ignore the hunger, but there always came a point when it was was unbearable and she would have to go looking for prey. Though unlike most of her kind human souls weren't her required or preferred delicacy. No in fact, it was others that were quite more like herself to be honest. A cannibal in her own right she was, though she didn't really have a choice in the matter. If she didn't eat other hollows she would fall back into the abyss of souls living within her and join them in their mindless jaunt throughout this realm. No, she wasn't quite up for that, she liked controlling her own vehicle, she liked having her own personality, so when she had to eat she always made fast work of finding food.
Luckily for her, even in this vast desert most other hollows were also seeking food so it didn't take much to come across prey, especially with her keen senses. She focused as she walked, feeling for the reiatsu of any nearby hollows only to find a group of them not too far ahead. From the feel of their energy she had to guess that they were fighting, that made things easier she was small and quick. All she had to do was go in and pick one or two of them off during the commotion and that would be that. She picked up her pace and started at a light run heading in the direction she sensed them. As she got closer she noticed the large group of fighting hollows, a smile broke her features, yes it was time to feast.
That was when she jumped in landing on the first unlucky soul there and took a bite out of his head, before she jumped off and onto another unsuspecting victim. She made quick work of this one firing several bala to the face before landed and pounced, taking his right arm with a quick attack. As she stood there savouring her meal she sensed something beneath her and quickly jumped out of the way as she saw a claw rise out of the sand narrowly missing her.
She focused on this one particularly now, something about it was different. It wasn't like the others, if anything she'd have to say it was closer to her in terms of power. Perhaps a more worthwhile meal. She watched as a few other hollows followed her lead, taking to the skies though most of them weren't quick enough. She landed on the sand again, her right arm already building energy as she waited patiently for the hollow to show itself again her senses already searching for it. She wouldn't allow it to catch her off guard again.

Hueco Mundo - the vast expanse of nothingness that was home to the Hollow: creatures born of instinct and a singular desire to feast upon those around them. Hollow of all sizes and power levels called this space home. Many of the upper echelon of Hollow spent the majority of their time below the sandy surface, in the Forest of Menos. That, however, was not Calamitae’s home. Calamitae - a winged hollow beast of impressive size - found themselves more at home in the skies above the white sand, than down in the cramped forest of the Menos. It often would make its way down below the surface only to steal the amalgamation of souls from a Hollow of its own calibre. Fortunately for Calamitae, hunger had been staved off for yet another day. Well, not the constantly gnawing hunger from deep inside of its own longing soul, but the pangs of de-evolution and loss of self-identity. Calamitae had no interest in losing its sense of identity to the thousands of souls that resided within its own body - constantly clawing and struggling to make their way up to drag down the one soul strong enough to try and control them. It was a fear that Calamitae had begun to grow weary of as the months would pass. It had to find a way to shut those voices out for good - and the best way for that to happen would be to continue eating until it finally met the last stage of its own evolution.
Occasionally, during its flights, Calamitae would spot hollow meandering their way throughout the sands. Mostly, it only observed unclassified - in their own singular right they were hardly a meal worth having unless Calamitae felt as though it were about to swallow itself whole and revert back to the abhorrant monstrosity that it used to be - a Menos Gillian. Rarer still, Calamitae would be present to watch as an amalgamation of Hollow came together to feast upon one another, forming a Menos Gillian of their own. Those hollow almost always ended up as Calamitae’s next unfortunate meal - they were filling, but they were nowhere near filling enough to push the hollow over the hump and onto the next stage of its own evolution. No, for that, Calamitae would need to grow stronger and begin hunting its own kind - the mighty Adjuchas. Eventually, it figured, it would need to consume a legendary Vasto Lorde in order to increase its strength, but that time was still far off and away.
Otherwise, Calamitae enjoyed its time in the air. Flying throughout the desolate skies of Hueco Mundo brought Calamitae closer to its time within the Human World, where vast expanses were varied and plentiful, and its jaunts would attract the attention of the oh-so delectable Shinigami. On more than one occasion, Calamitae had experienced the exhilaration of taking on a dark-robe of its own strength, only to devour their soul and leave a trail of destruction in its wake. It seemed, however, that this particular flight would be slightly more than uneventful. Below its mighty wings, underneath its gaze, stood a small cluster of unclassified hollow, vying for their own survival against… something. It was clear that there was at least one hollow with strength superior to that of the others, though Calamitae could not quite put its finger on what it was, exactly, that made this Hollow stand out. Could it be, perhaps, that this was not an unclassified? Calamitae felt no streneous tautness to the air, so this couldn’t have been a Vasto Lorde, but it certainly lacked the size of a Menos Gillian. Beyond that, there was something else - lurking below the sands and stealing away Hollow for its own personal snack.
Calamitae’s eyes fluttered between each Hollow as they sank into the sands below, devoured by some unknown threat. Eventually, however, it determined that it would be best to lock its eyes on the stocky, green adjuchas below it. The being was charging a Cero - not in its mouth, but in its hand - and it was clearly ready to stir the pot on its own. If Calamitae was lucky [or unfortunate enough to be caught in their crossfire], then it would certainly feast well today. Craning its neck backwards, Calamitae began circling in a very wide arc around the collection of Hollow, careful to keep its eyes on Terra from above. For now, it was content to watch.

Diggy is dumb but Diggy ain't stupid. He could sense something new up there, something stronger. A mean friend? A slightly less mean friend or a meaner friend? There was only one way to find out which they were and Diggy was not looking forward to it. It usually ended with someone dead and Diggy running away, and sometimes they ran away. These mean friends above were stupid friends at the moment, just standing there while he ate them.
Diggy knew what they called him up there, what the mean friends named him when they did not know or care that Diggy had a name. They called him the beast. Nightmares told of mean friends disapearing into the sand with a flash of claws never to be seen again. But that was just Diggy being hungry. He would show them, he would show all the mean friends who Diggy really was.
Diggy pulled one of the dead hollow underground, peeking a breif glance to where the last ones were, one a distance off doing something but Diggy did not know what. It felt familiar though and Diggy linked it to pain so he had better hurry. And something above above that he could not quite see. He carved the word "Friend?" into the dead hollows chest, in wonky large letters. Then placing it on his head, he charged towards the surface, stopping just as he broke air and launching the body towards the mean friend on the ground(terra).
Retreating quickly back down, he began to do the same. But then realised that up up mean friend would not have time to read the dead mean friend as he is up up and it cannot land up up. The first dead hollow would have landed near to the ground mean friend, but Diggy was stumped here. Taking a deep breath he waited a few seconds, then slowly rose out of the sand. Looking up and making out a figure in the sky, he called out "Up up friend? I am Diggy! Are you a mean friend?" He had risen at an angle that lets him see the up up friend but also the ground friend with lower peripheral vision. Hopefully ground friend had gotten and liked the message.
(ooc, I cannot paste on my phone so until I get a laptop to edit I will have to give the name of my tech and you can see it on my profile. Super sorry for the late reply as well, been caught up on sorting out my shinis plot.
The charge tech he used to launch the body was Diggy's Thick Skull.)
She could sense a newcomer within her midst, though he wasn't by any means very close to her. In fact he was farther away from her than the one that was going around picking everybody off one by one. Currently she was trapped between both of them, one in the and the other underground and she didn't like it. However it didn't seem like the one above her was about to make any moves, but she couldn't be completely sure he could simply be biding his time. It mattered not, she couldn't over think it at the moment he was out of range of her attacks so she would focus more so on the one she could hit until that one came in closer.
She noted the hollow that was underground began moving around a bit, though she didn't move around physically to follow his movements, instead tracking him solely with her reiatsu sense. He stopped some distance away and she waited, timing it properly until she felt the surge of reiatsu coming from him. He was about to do something and now would probably be her best chance. She spun in his direction only to see the dead hollow coming at her. Terra raised her right hand and allowed the red beam to fire, engulfing the carcass of the hollow and reducing it to dust. Still she kept her wits about her, the hollow was already on the move again, was that just a diversion? Was he coming for her now? She was already prepping to fire a series of bala at him to put distance between him and herself, but then she noticed that he was moving further away. This time she did turn to look at him and saw that he'd finally popped up out of the sands. A large, somewhat brutish looking creature. This time he spoke, though it didn't seem his vocabulary or speech overall for that manner was anything great. He declared his name as Diggy and was trying to find out if the hollow above was a... mean friend? Terra was confused, what was this hollow playing at.
"Who are you?" Was all she asked, her hand already glowing red, ready to fire the bala if she didn't like his answer.
{Spoiler}Name: Cero (Hollow Flash) Class: Cero/Bala Type: Offensive Range: 100 Meters Tier: IV Description: Are high-powered energy blasts that can be fired from various places on the body. Only Menos, Arrancar, and Vizard have so far been shown to use Cero attacks, and it appears that stronger entities can use it more efficiently.

Watching the adjuchas below it begin to react to something that was buried within the ground, Calamitae decided it was at least somewhat safe to lower itself to a comfortable hovering distance of one hundred and fifty meters - enough to make out individual shapes and get some general idea of what was happening below without putting itself in immediate harm’s way. With its eyes trained on the area below, Calamitae watched on as something seemed to fly up and out of the ground towards Terra, and was immediately obliterated by a Cero. An Adjuchas. Too small to be a gillian, and not nearly destructive enough to be a Vasto Lorde, the only possibility left was that this Hollow on the surface was an Adjuchas-class Hollow - similar to that of Calamitae, though the flying drake couldn’t determine exactly how strong this one was. Calamitae continued to watch on, just to see what might happen next.
Before Calamitae had time to think on it further, the underground dweller popped up and out of the dirt, angling itself up towards Calamitae and shouting… something that Calamitae couldn’t quite make out. Maybe… Bean Trend? Lean Rend? Mean… Did it just say ‘Mean Friend’? The slits of Calamitae’s angularly shaped and worn mask narrowed as it tried to figure out what this second hollow wanted. Calamitae lowered itself to just about 80 meters above Terra and Diggy, attempting to make up enough ground in order to listen in to the conversation and respond if necessary, without putting itself in a position where it wouldn’t be able to react to what was going on. That being said, if it got shot out of the sky, it doubted it would be able to take flight again fast enough to get away unless it decided to go into a full retreat.
Though it closed the distance, the glowing red energy in Terra’s hand kept Calamitae not only from approaching any closer, but from addressing either one of the Hollow. This was boring, it had to admit. Though not the most patient of Hollow, Calamitae knew better than to make two potential enemies when it really only had to make one if push came to shove. Considering that the green Adjuchas seemed to be focused on the ground-dwelling Hollow, and that Hollow had potentially larger issues on its current plate than dealing with Calamitae, the drake decided it would be prudent to continue waiting. Its eyes leveled on Terra from above - considering its already proficient use of Cero, it would be a mistake not to be at least prepared to defend oneself.
