Hitoshi Nakada

The zanpakutou in its sealed form has a four foot long blade with a six inch long hilt. The blade is pure white with six red strips along the base of the blade. These strips are near the guard of the blade which is circular with small, rectangular slots circling the center of the guard towards the blade. Similarly the hilt is adorned with strips of the alabaster cloth while the bottom of the hilt is covered by a strip of metal of the same shade.


Ketsueki Getsuei appears to Hitoshi only as an obscure shadow which is a dark crimson shade rather than black. Its body takes the form of a man but instead of reflecting that of his wielder the figure is considerably larger, standing a meter taller and with a much more heavy frame. This however is by no means constant as its form may change in size and shape to personify Hitoshi's state of mind. The aformentioned depiction is the form it maintains when his wielder's mind is in its normal state.


The zanpakuto is the opposite of Hitoshi himself in that unlike Hitoshi, who is direct and straightforward, Ketsueki Getsuei is cryptic. Preferring to avoid giving direct answer, speaking in vague terms as it believes it is important for Hitoshi to resolve his hardships with his own mind. Additionally he shades little light on itself, shrouding him in the same obscurity to further his ambiguous nature to such a degree that it does not appear to have any discernable gender. However this does not mean it does not express any emotion as it may offer support and insight to Hitoshi in times of need although it maintains its obscurity even in doing so. Aside from this Ketsueki Getsuei does not display any emotion of its own expression.


The inner world of his zanpakutou consists of an ocean with an island in the distance. This realm is in eternal night with a massive, crimson moon hovering just over the horizon, leaving the night sky filled with countless stars glowing with brilliant red light. The ocean itself serves as the ground in this realm which has no end and continues expanding as Hitoshi moves in any direction. As a result he can never reach the island which lies in the distance and is bound to same space of water which he appears in. The climate remains exactly the same no matter how much times passes with not so much as a ripple disturbing even the water itself, personifying the enigmatic nature of the zanpakutou itself.

SHIKAI

Activating the Ketsueki Getsuei causes the blade of the zanpakutou to change to a deep red hue, the strips expanding to envelope the length of the blade. Along with this the cloth of the hilt becomes black now with diamond-shaped slits which reveal the gold material of the hilt beneath. The guard maintains the same circular shape but instead turns to the same golden hue of the hilt.

Description: Upon releasing his shikai the power of the zanpakutou manifests itself in such a way that stimulates the muscles in his body. This causes him to become capable of moving two times faster than he normally would without his shikai being activated. This means that this technique can only be active upon releasing and maintaining his shikai.


Name: Shinku Kagayaku Kasui (Crimson Shimmering Stream)

Range: Five Meters
Description: Using this technique imbues his zanpakuto with reiryouku causing it to shimmer and emit hundreds of crimson particles resembling almost tiny stars. These particles will hover in close proximity to the blade of his zanpakuto until activated at which point they will appear to fall away from the blade to float in its wake. This may be done either with a swing of the blade or merely carrying it with him but as the motion is complete the particles will detonate outward from himself in a meter high explosion blasting out to five meters. The blade may move a maximum of ten meters before detonating but is not limitted in direction. It may also retain the particles to hover around the blade for a single post after activation at the expense of requiring a one post cooldown. This will not increase the potency or blast radius of the explosion if extended.

Description: This technique summons up to three, spherical mirrors of red reiryouku around Hitoshi. Each of these mirrors resembles that of a moon in their engraving although this inexplicably does little to diminish their reflective properties. Each of these mirrors is controlled by Hitoshi mentally so as to be capable of moving with his will anywhere in a twenty meter diameter, capable of moving at the speed of a cero. Should he move beyond said range they will be affixed in their last position as his connection with them will be lost and if the connection is not restored within one post they will dissipate. Each of these mirrors provides a defensive quality to shield him from attacks but are rather weak, equivalent only to a Tier II technique in strength. This is not because of the number of the mirrors but simply because it is not their primary function and that this is the strength of the constructs themselves without any sort of extraneous shielding. The primary function of these mirrors is not to serve him defensively but to act as a medium for his attacks. By projecting his spiritual energy into them he is able to create links between any pair of these mirrors which can used to project reiryouku-based attacks through one mirror and out from another. In order to do so he must fire said reiryouku attack to strike the surface of one mirror and upon doing so it will be redirected to another which will fire off the attack in the direction he desires. He may form another link after this to allow the attack to pass through the third mirror but doing so will diminish the strength and speed of the attack by one tier and it may not be utilized a third time.

Although versatile this technique has its limitations. The use of the projection drains the power of the mirrors links and requires one full post after its execution to restore that connection, if the double projection is used this will be increased to two full posts and the mirrors will be incapable of moving for the first post after. The strength of the technique being projected through the mirrors cannot exceed tier III in strength with three mirrors summoned. In the case of two mirrors being summoned the strength of the mirrors is increased to tier III and they may project attacks with tier IV power although the cool down is increased to two full posts. Eac projection of these attacks take a drain of his reaitsu equal to the strength of the attack itself as well, meaning that continuous repetition of this technique can take a serious toll on his energy.


Name: Ketsueki Wangetsu Katto (Blood Crescent Evisceration)

Range: 10-30 Meters
Description:This technique projects a beam of blood red enery from the tip of his zanpakuto which arcs in the opposite direction of the edged side of his blade to resemble a crescent moon. This beam shoots straight out from the tip of the blade and arcs at a specific point anywhere up to thirty meters. The length and width of the arc is dependant upon the distance the beam travels while the thickness of the beam is equal to the blade itself and is not altered. This may be utilized without any motion of the blade however in this case it may only travel up to five meters while swinging the zanpakuto allows the beam to be projected to its maximum range, the beam travelling at the speed of a cero in either case. Activating this technique causes the blade to emit a dull aura which appears to be comprised of numerous crimson stars, much like Kirameki Fuutou, although if swung upon activation it will draw a line of red reiryouku instead of leaving a trail of stars in its path.
