Ones' only option is to strive for ones' own goals. If one cannot even do that, then one is lower than garbage. Worthless, for that one takes up space in this world while giving back none. That one would be better off dead.

She'd sent in an application after Kumo-san had come to her. He'd told her that there was an opening in the Kido Corps and he thought that she would've been good for. Of course she hadn't agreed right away, she had enjoyed the 2nd Division, but eventually she took up Kumo san on the offer. After some time went by he came by to see her again, telling her there was an opportunity for her to spend time within her old squad without losing her position within the kido corps. She just had to apply for the Job as the 2nd squad liaison, and it just so happened to be open.
Shiori had put in her application almost immediately, though she hadn't heard anything about the job. Only today did Kumo san come by once more to tell her that she was summoned by the Soshi. Which was where she was currently heading, donned in the standard kidoshu uniform with her mask atop her head. She approached the door to the Soshi's office and raised a fist knocking on the door firmly but quietly. She stood waiting to hear a response from her commander before taking any other actions.

Blodeuwen was growing ever border of office functions. Now she had some underlings, and wasn't running around to perform every duty by herself, there were administrative things to attend to; things she would usually leave to a Fuku-kidocho. Interviews were a brief reprieve from that, when they didn't go poorly. She had seen out a bleary-eyed Vanessa a few days ago and she now welcomed Shiori into her office, by opening the door using naught but the strength of her reiatsu. Waving the shinigami into the sparsely decorated room; that as ever smelt of vanilla and nag champa incense, Blod ruminated about the fairness of what she was about to do. Kumo had offered Shiori for the position, as opposed to her submitting herself; Blodeuwen felt it was fair enough that she be given a shot if it was her superior that had recommended her, as opposed to Vanessa's desire to return to the squad that had abandoned her.
"Yes, yes hello Shiori. I trust you are well." she said softly, the door closing behind Shiori presuming she entered. "Ordinarily in these circumstances I might ask a few questions about your application, but it seems Kumo-san has given you a strong recommendation. He's supposed to have an eye for that sort of thing." she wanted to get right to the point, no mickeying about. Two cups of warm tea poured themselves from the pot on the desk and Blodeuwen took a sip from one. All the while she spoke, her left hand held a calligraphy brush, and she seemed to be writing upon a scroll while looking at Shiori, though most likely she wouldn't be able to work out what was being written.
"Do you think you'll be able to represent the Kido Corps in your home division. There can be no split-loyalty as it were. While you are our representative to improve relations, we need to know what's going on in the Gotei 13. If we need to mobilise in order to assist with various operations then it helps to have some forewarning, you understand? Not that we really deal in sogyoku executions any more..." Blodeuwen said, trailing off.

She entered upon gaining permission to set foot into the Soshi's office, the door closed behind her gently and quietly. It didn't take much time for her blonde haired commander Blodeuwen to get into the nitty gritty of why Shiori was here. Heck, she didn't even give the short haired shinigami a moment to take in the ambience of her office and the way it smelled of vanilla and nag champa a smell that was far from familiar to her. She sat at the table, assuming she was allowed to do so and took a sip of the tea poured for her by some invisible force.
It seemed that Blodeuwen wanted to know whether or not Shiori was up for the task of becoming a liaison. If she would have split interests, or tag more towards her old squad. Or would she do as her job entailed and report only to the Soshi and her other commanding officers within the Kidoshu.
"I do believe myself capable of performing any task presented to me by yourself or any other commanding officer. Of course any ties I have within the 2nd Division wouldn't interfere with my work."
She remained silent now, taking another sip of her tea as she waited to her Soshi's response. She never really did like interviews, they just seemed so tedious and time consuming. At least when you were on her end of the table, for Blod it was probably different seeing as she had to make sure she could trust the person she was delegating the tasks too.

Blodeuwen nodded curtly, her left hand still writing in cursive. She was recording everything that happened; she had spent enough time performing secretarial duties that it came virtually second-nature to do so now. It was a great excuse to practice her calligraphy. She had been illiterate when she arrived at soul society and learning to write had taken a long time, mostly because it turned out that she had been left handed her whole life without realizing it. Llew had taught her to use a sword right-handed though and so until her illiteracy had become an issue she had never even considered herself sinistrous. By this point, it was likely Shiori would notice her musing to herself, before snapping her attention back.
"Hmm? Oh yes, of course. Well I'm going to trust Kumo on this one. You start in the morning, arrive at the second division's barracks at eight sharp. I'll ask them to have someone there to take you to whereever you end up staying. The reps usually stay with the Onmitsuko as opposed to the 2nd themselves. But I presume you won't need a tour?" she asked, realizing that Shiori had once taken her from the 2nd division's barracks to the SRDI and undoubtedly knew her way around far better than Blodeuwen did. "They'll issue you uniform, take this too." she said, finally ceasing the writing and handing Shiori a band of cloth similar to what lieutenants wore, with the Kidoshu's symbol of a circle with three points, as well as the 2nd division's symbol of a flower embroidered on. After handing it over, she would pinch the incense on her desk to douse it. With a blink, turned back to the forms before her.
"You may go; unless there's anything else." she asked, not impatiently.

It seemed Blod had no problem with the arrangement. Though Shiori wasn't entirely sure if she'd been paying attention at all during the entire meeting as she seemed to be sipping tea and writing while lost in thought. Then again, who was Shiori to judge the Soshi. The woman probably had a very large skill set, someone worthy to look up to indeed. She finished the last of her tea and bowed to the Soshi.
"Thank you Soshi," she said taking the arm sash from her commander. She stood to her feet and turned, making her way to the door she opened it and walked out, closing it softly behind her. On her face she had a smile on her face. She felt lucky to have gotten the job. Of course, this meant she would need to pick it up with her duties and studies in kido. She's been really lacking lately in that department lately. Perhaps when she got back to the Gotei she'd dig into their library, though she doubted it would be as extensive as the one here.
