The boy awaited his soshi outside her office as he was there to report on several things that day, he was sad that nearly all the news he had to report was bad, but he had no choice in this matter and had to do this right here and now before things got out of hand. He wished to hand in a written report as well as give his own input as he could not allow the situation to get worse, a part of him was excited. However he was also sad that there were so many enemies he made when just starting out, what was going to happen to his future endeavers.
He awaited her patiently as he tried to avoid his legs falling asleep, he really hated this method of sitting but to show respect he had to do it, how long would he have to wait for her as the events he had to report were of greater importance and the fact that Shio might be a threat to soul society since after that encounter Aoi attempted to get information on those actions and found them to be reminiscent of some strange disease known as post menstrual syndrome, though if he read that book more carefully he would have learnt that it refers to women on their periods and not crazy nearly blind guys

Blodeuwen was sat, as usual in her office. Today it smelt of "Dragon's Blood" and pumpkins. There were a few stalks of incense burning dotted about the place, and she wasn't especially made up. She looked prim, proper, and businesslike, wearing the royal purple cloak of her office. She had kept Aoi waiting a while so she could finish some paperwork she needed to do, but after not too long, the door to her office slid open following a gentle push from her reiatsu and she called him in softly. This one required... A gentle touch. He was liable to making assumptions, thinking she didn't know things, or being insistent on having his own way. Aoi was, quite frankly, a child. He was awfully sweet, and no more or less gifted than anyone else here was at kido, but regardless of whether he could keep up in terms of spellcasting, he had a lot of maturing to do.
She was hoping he could give her some feedback over what happened to the note she had sent to Shio. She wanted Shio on board. From what she'd seen, that boy needed an environment where he could be himself without worrying what others would think of him, and an environment where he could afford to stretch his legs without this "the tallest poppy is cut down" attitude she had discovered. Of course Blod had not heard about his rapidly descending sanity, or the blindness he was choosing to retain following their previous encounter. Hopefully she hadn't been mistaken in entrusting such a simple task to the young shinigami.
"Hello Aoi, how are you today?" she asked him, presuming he entered as he seemed to be getting antsy. As always she was drawing beautifully calligraphed notes with her left hand elegantly clasped around an ink pen as she was the last time Aoi was in here. "Would you like an apple, or an orange?" she asked, indicating with her free hand at the fruit bowl on the desk before her. She would offer him candy but she didn't exactly want to endorse bad eating habits and the only candy she'd ever really had as a child was rock candy made from fructose.
He was allowed to enter as he looked to her as he nearly slipped up stumbling slightly as his legs fell asleep from the seiza sitting form. He once again sat down in a seiza position where one sits on their knees. Whether she would realise his discomfort was something that would take time. He was doing his best to show her the utmost respect as he was finally here to give out his report as he tried to think which report should come first.
She greeted him and asked how he was as he was struggling with emotions he did not want to feel as he looked down as his nerves were giving way. To someone with great skill they would realise his unstable nature or restlessness in his reiatsu that seemed to flow like a flame that could blow out or explode at any moment.
He was nervous until she said apples or oranges as he broke out of his confusion and while still not smiling he did blush and took an orange and began eating it. It did not even occur to him he still had to give the report as he got a bit too relaxed eating the orange as he just sat with his knees parted half way in the splits with orange filling his face. In the back of his mind he knew what he had to tell her and that she may very well be more disappointed in him then anyone else.

Blod paid no heed to Aoi's clumsiness, though she noticed immediately the ebbing and flowing of his reiatsu. She quietly blanketed the room in her own reiatsu, filling it with the scent of summer flowers and a hazy pink glow. She attempted to envelop Aoi, to stifle his erratically shifting spiritual pressure, to calm him down enough to get at least a modicum of sense out of the boy, otherwise he would be nothing more than a liability. She needed to know what exactly had happened with Shio so she knew the best way to move forward.
"Come, Aoi." she chided him softly. "It is rude to ignore questions directed at us." she said, her left hand still writing beautifully upon the unfurled parchment that she wasn't even looking at. "Did you manage to deliver the message to Shio? It's very important that he receives it." she told him, once he had finished his orange. She had decided on the best course of action. She had to keep him out of the line of fire; physically, as well as politically. He could do untold damage to himself and to her, too if he wasn't kept in check. She had to promote him to functional obscurity. Into a position where he could do no damage whatsoever and she knew exactly how to do it.
He stopped for a moment before finishing off his orange quickly leaving a mess on his face as he calmed down a bit. He felt some strange feeling, it was overwhelming his shaky judgement as she got to the point that he has to answer what she asked as he slapped his face a bit with both hands. "I am not doing too good, the reports are really bad news", he went from confused to sad in a moment. He then took a deep breathe as he began his first report as he pulled out some stuff he had written down since he felt detailing all the reports on paper might not be easily understood.
"Well, not sure where to start I got the Patrol Report, the Shio Report and the Butterfly Report"
He organised them again then his reiatsu gave off a calm feeling before he began with his report forgetting that he was not seated in seiza anymore, which was disrespectful to some people but highly uncomfortable when you were not used to it.
"Several days ago in a routine patrol of the human world I found a strange guy possessing abilities strong enough to make, Sachiko no Heien-dono surrender her zanpakuto for a while as she sent out a distress signal. The man also spoke about trying to get information on blank zanpakuto's which I know nothing about and that Sachiko seemed to have a bit of knowledge on. He attempted to take my zanpakuto as well and even attacked a member of the eleventh squad Rasen who had arrived as well to provide assistance."
He took a moment to catch his breath properly before continuing with this report.
"I was not sure of his strength at the time, but after comparing it to some of the people here he is probably at least Captain level in strength. Though I could be wrong since I am not that experienced yet, but he is very dangerous even though he let us go. He is about one point eight meters tall, has orange hair, brown eyes, got these weird blue tinted glasses."
He then put down the paper before speaking to her again "Blodewyn-ne..." as he was a bit carried away by her reiatsu as he coughed, "Blodewyn-dono, this man is a danger to everyone on patrol in the human world what are your orders on this report."
He then sat with his knees hugged to his chest waiting to hear what her thoughts on the matter were. The actual report itself was actually more organised and had a few extra details in it that were more times dates and locations then anything else

She listened to him closely attempting to make sense of his rushed report. She regarded him seriously. It sounded like they had a spiritual human in their midst who was a little curious about shinigami and was prepared to go to whatever length necessary to satisfy that curiosity. However, Sachiko was Vanessa's friend from the SRDI and so invariable, Mayuri would know about this, and the Gotei 13 would have a handle on it. It was not the Kido Corps job to look after them and so she disregarded the issue, levelling a gaze at Aoi, who seemed to be waiting for her to respond.
"Thank you for alerting me to this Aoi. The Gotei 13 should have a handle on the situation. Now, what of Shio? That is most important. I also have something to discuss with you regarding Jigokucho." she said to him, a small smile playing her lips. She was glad that she had finally worked out what to do with the young shinigami to keep him out of trouble. She'd hear no end of complaints if he kept going around causing as much mayhem and destruction as he had so far. But this way, everyone could be happy.
She thanked him but said that they already had a handle on the situation as his disposition dropped to a more gloomy appearance as if you just told a young child their parents had died, and that he had to still go to school rather than mourn their death. However things were not that simple, they were never that simple to begin with as he took a deep breathe as he heard her mention Shio and something about the jigokucho.
That last part seemed to perk up his mood a bit, he had been having fun with the butterflies. Those days on the farm chasing them and being chased back, training them to follow specific reiatsu as well as feeding them on a regular basis. He was really getting along with the people in that area, well at least those who were in charge. The other workers were all gophers or people who got annoyed at having to chase a bunch of butterflies around.
He gave a cold stern look as he gave his grim reply on Shio. "When I told Shio the news and after he forced me to read the note to him." His look was getting grimmer by the second, "Shio went mad and tried to attack me with a binding technique, which I escaped easily. The trouble alerted the captain of the Sixth Division Kuchiki-taichou and he stepped in to bind us both, he then read the note and told me to tell you to expect a visit from him later and that we are to leave Shio until further notice was given. I wanted to give this news earlier, but you were busy and I followed up a bit on that and found out Shio was currently being dealt with for his crimes of using kido of a high rank without official permission. I do not know what is wrong with him, but he attacked me so something must be wrong with him."

Blodeuwen's heart initially fell at Aoi's words. Shio was crazy. Moderately talented, yes, but crazy nonetheless. There was quite obviously some kind of pathology at work there, and she wasn't sure she wanted to root it out. That wasn't a problem in and of itelf, she would either just have to do it or have him thrown in the nest until he got a little less psychotic. What was an issue was that bigoted, arrogant fool Kuchiki. How dare he command her! Blodeuwen knew her place very well; it was firmly above most captains of the Gotei 13, especially ones that were relatively inexperienced such as Kuchiki Byakuya. She had been a shinigami many years before he was a twinkle in anyone's eye, and in terms of rank, she sat at the same level as the captain-commander. The idea of such a proud ignoramus as Kuchiki, who had almost murdered his own sister because of his "pride" coming to lecture her annoyed her to no end. Of course, there was no way she would leave Shio; Kuchiki be damned. He had no right to stick his pointy nose into others' business; Shio wasn't even in his squad. She'd have to talk to Genryuusai about his subordinates stepping out of line. On the other hand she realized that Aoi hadn't been the best messenger to send. She had given the task to Nobura to pass on and he had clearly just pawned it off to the most bully-able looking kid that he'd found.
Either way she wouldn't take her ire out on Aoi. She took a moment to exhale, and rub her temples. She was glad she wasn't getting wrinkles from this job because she felt like she ought to have.
"Yes I think that would be a correct deduction. I advise you to keep your distance from Shio as well as Captain Kuchiki for the forseeable future. Are you hurt? There will be blood if he's harmed any of my subordinates." she said, with a rare venom in her voice. She was becoming motherly. "Aoi, how do you feel about the prospect of a promotion? I really appreciate the work you've been doing for us." she lied democratically. "There are a number of engineering opportunities available. I think I have an idea of where would suit you." She suggested, with a warm smile.
She seemed rather stressed out as he was worrying even more as he felt he was a great disappointment to her, he was really emotional right now and setting him off on the wrong path made this a more critical situation then people could ever dream to realise. In a moment as the small boy's mind began to drift away.
A memory that should have long since been forgotten as it drew him into feelings so dark. A small little boy arrived home with his report card, he had all A's and a single B as he was happy getting the best marks in class as he showed it to his mother as the look of disappointment appeared on her face. She glared at him and asked why there was a B as he tried to get out the words she scolded him and said he did not deserve to call himself her child as she through him out of her room as the back of his head hit the wall hard. He was hurt more on the inside then on the outside as his sister tried her best to hide her anger at her own mother. She hugged the poor little brother of hers and told him that there was more to life then all A's.
He then awoke to the words of being correct and her asking if he was hurt. What was she, was she not like the mother of the division. A cold ruthless ruler who imposed perfection to the point where if it was not his very best then it might as well be as if he did nothing at all. She even suggested a promotion as he did not even notice tears flowing from his eyes as he looked down.
"I am okay, I was only bound a bit. I did not get hurt at all", the boy could not even get a smile on his face in reply as he attempted to move his mouth as only two twitches appeared. It was this that he failed to smile for the good news, but as he noticed his tears he wiped them off and shook his head. "Sorry, Blodewyn-dono. A member of the kidoshu never cries" as he was a bit disorientated at the time he was trying to regain control over his emotions.

Aoi occasionally did this; seemingly zoning out. She didn't really know what he was thinking about but to be honest it made even more sense for him to be the designated butterfly boy. She was happy to wait patiently for him, his information hadn't exactly been pleasing but it was delivered dutifully, and he hadn't been as difficult as she'd anticipated; she'd booked the afternoon off because she thought she might need to fight for specifics. In that regard at least she was proud, and that pride shone through her beautiful face. The sunny disposition changed to a frown, however, when she saw him crying. She gently retrieved a silk handkerchief from the drawer before her, and passed it over to him, to dry his eyes properly.
"Well Sora-chan I'm glad that you're unharmed. All the same, please take the next couple of days off; it sounds like you've had a tough time. After you return, you will be working as the new Jigokuchō Officer. It will be your responsibility to ensure the Hell Butterflies are bred correctly, and trained well. You will have a contingent of shinigami working for you to help with feeding and exercise and other menial tasks. Thank you for your service, I hope you do well. I expect you shan't disappoint me." Blodeuwen told him, rather businessline, but her eyes still glimmered with kindness.
The small boy was a bit in shock and awe as he heard the news as it began to process in his small little mind. She told him that he could have a vacation to probably recover since she was worried about him. Maybe it was because of all his hospital visits and various explosions he had been involved in, or did she think he was worrying too much or a nuisance. However she then said he was going to return as an officer which was a position closer to the lieutenant for other divisions and was sadly looked down upon, since as was with some captain's like Kuchiki Byakuya a point where they felt the Gotei 13 were the ultimate head. While they maintained control of the assassination corps through the head being the captain of the second division, they did not have the same foot hold in the kido corps which essentially made them like their own squad as well.
She then told him all this as he nodded his head confused and embarrassed at being praised by someone.
"I will do my best, Blodewyn-dono"
Whether she would ever take the time to correct his vocalization of her name in what was wrong to those who knew her better, but right until she ever bothered to correct him. He then made his way out as he began to think for a bit then he realised vacation, promotion and just smiled by himself where no one could see before running out of the kido corps to have some fun.
