A curious sight would await those heading to the training ground, a body splayed over the ground in a puddle of limbs and black hair. The “corpse” was wearing the signature black uniform of a member of the Gotei 13, and looked to be in her teens (though naturally that did not mean much in a place like Soul Society.) However, before further investigation could be made a beam of sun made it’s way through the cloudy grey skies and hit her.
“Hiisssssssss!!!!! The sun! It burnsssss usss!!!! Nooooo!!!!” Koboyashi Moriko, the Dark Mistress of Paperwork, Legendary Clerk of the Shiori Family, whined like a little kid while flailing around on the ground.
She “died” again the moment the clouds covered up the sun again and just laid there for a moment until, acting as if on some cue that only she could hear, she pushed herself back up to her feet, “OK! Break time’s over!”
Despite her words, she did not go straight back to training. Instead she broke out a book. To be fair, the book was entitled “Self Defense for Dummies” (freshly smuggled imported from the Realm of the Living!) but it was obvious at a glance that she was more likely to use the training posts set up along the training ground as a backrest than actually hit them.
She had a rather nice blanket and picnic spread set up around her, and sipped at a nice cup of tea while she read. All in all, she looked more like someone out for a nice day at the park rather than someone looking to get some hardcore training done.
Ones' only option is to strive for ones' own goals. If one cannot even do that, then one is lower than garbage. Worthless, for that one takes up space in this world while giving back none. That one would be better off dead.
The end is the only thing certain
Shiori walked over to the training grounds donning the traditional garb of the kidoshu rather than the tell tale black robes of a Gotei soldier. She saw before her one of the aforementioned Gotei soldiers laying on her back in the middle of the grounds. The short haired shinigami watched curiously with her one eye wondering why this woman was lying here. For an instant a bit of sun hit the other shinigami and her actions reminded Shiori of a vampire, hissing and flailing about as if she were in actual pain.
A few more moments of this then the sun was once again hidden from view by a passing cloud. The other shinigami ceased her sporadic movements and laid there a bit longer before hopping to her feet and taking out a book. In fact it seemed she had an entire picnic set up here. This caused Shiori to chuckle a bit.
"Well well, I don't think I've ever seen someone take the training grounds and use it for a picnic like they were in a park."
Upon speaking she began walking towards the female shinigami sipping on her tea. Normally Shiori wouldn't care, but she wanted to make use of this space right now and it wasn't exactly made for picnics. This woman had chosen the wrong place to have lunch.
"I mean, this isn't the best place to have lunch you know. What happens when someone comes along wanting to train?"
Shiori mainly wanted to know at this point if this shinigami had fully thought this through before coming here for her picnic. Though she fully intended to ask her to allow her to make use of the space. Though she'd have to leave unless she wanted to join Shiori, or she didn't mind having her peace interrupted.

“Hm?” Moriko said cocking her head at the question.
“Well, I’d probably offer them a sammich,” She smirked suiting action to words by waggling a triangle cut sandwich enticingly in front of the new comer, “It’s PB&J~~~”
Regardless of whether or not the newcomer accepts the offering, Mori would end up snapping her book shut and stashing it away, sighing, “Well, of course there’s those who’d call me a traitor to my division for so much as giving you the time of day, but, eh, that’s how these things go I suppose,”
She swiftly set about cleaning up the picnic detritus and slid it out of the way, leaving the training ground clear enough for actual training.
“Koboyashi Moriko of the Shiori family, first division,” She introduced herself with a polite bow, “I thought I’d come out here and get some practice for my proficiency exam since it’s such a lovely overcast day, but I never expected the outside to be so…. outside-y,”
The thought of fresh air brought a shiver to the girl. As a proud and noble bean counter her natural habitat was wrapped up in a nice warm cocoon of paperwork, not out amid the mud, bugs, and dirt of nature.
Still, she was out here for a point. Next to where she stashed the picnic she had a sports bag containing various wooden practice swords. She pulled one free and gave it a quick look over while listening to Shiori’s response.
A small boy hidden behind one of the training trees as he was a bit annoyed. These girls stole his kido blasting spot, now where was he going to have fun practicing his explosions as he sighed. He was suppressing his spiritual pressure, but decided to play it safe as he whispered silently.
"Bakudo #26 Kyokko"
Now completely hidden from the two girls the boy decided to approach closer walking towards them so he could actually hear what is going on meanwhile remembering missing out on playing video games at the arcade in the human world the other day made him feel like crying.
He decided to look for a nice spot as he approached even closer. Was that not one of the ladies from the kidoshu, and why did the kidoshu have so many girls did the guys just suck at kido perhaps even though he learnt that the previous heads had been male in the past. Maybe men just did not have skill in kido anymore, as he began to wonder if getting more mature and bigger would mean his kido would become weak. He yawned silently as he rubbed his eyes, today was one of his day's off so he was wearing plain shin'o academy training outfits, unfortunately he was not allowed to train any kido above the fifth tier out in the training grounds. He saved that for the special training room which he left full of holes the other day trying to master the cataclysm technique he developed from reading many books on Hado in order to master the way of destruction since explosions were cool.

Shiori glanced at the offered sandwich until it was removed from her face, "Thank you for the offer, I'm not hungry though."
She glanced behind her for a second, swearing she sensed someone but then the feeling was gone. Her head remained looking over her left shoulder for a spell longer before she turned to once more give her attention to the other female who had packed up her picnic in that very short amount of time. It seemed she'd had some preconceived notions about the great outdoors, views that had Shiori wondering if this girl had ever even been outside a building before. Had she been trapped in a room with nothing but four walls ad a ceiling before this?
"Uh huh, I see." She said it slowly, eyes locked onto the girl in front being that Shiori wasn't quite sure if she was completely sane or not. "Well my name is Shiori Sasaki, I'm from the Kido Corps as you can tell." She spread her arms wide and looked down at herself, gesturing towards her uniform.
Her arms fell back to her sides and her gaze once more returned to watch the Moriko, "It's a pleasure to meet you Moriko Koboyashi of the Shiori family." Odd to run into a noble here, even more odd was that said noble's family name was her first name. "While I'm not sure which proficiency exam this is, you're always welcome to join me in training if you'd like."
Once more Shiori glanced over her left shoulder, she had the uneasy feeling that they were being watched and she didn't like it. Hiding and spying on people were signs of a coward, and she didn't like cowards very much. Her attention remained split between her paranoia and waiting for Moriko's reply as to whether or not she would join Shiori.

“Heh, Shiori? Hm, hm, hm. I guess this must be another one of those everyday little quirks of fate right?” Mori giggled. If she noticed Aoi’s efforts at all she gave no sign of it. Instead she just preoccupied herself by thinking of setting up Sasaki with one of her cousins. The idea of her name becoming Shiori Shiori only resulted in more laughing on Mori’s part and likely did little to help Sasaki’s impression of her sanity.
Eventually she managed to get her giggle-snorting under control, and wiping away a tear brought to her eye from her excessive laughing she said, “Heh, honestly though, having a training partner would be really nice, but you know… There’s a lot of people in the 1st who feel like the Kido Corps are interfering in Gotei affairs with the stunt that kid of you guys’ pulled and with Kuchiki-taichou’s actions that feeling’s spread to the 6th. Honestly, I don’t have any interest in that matter. There’s nothing good that can come out of such inter-organizational enmity right? Still… well, I do have my pride as a member of the Shiori family and a member of the first. With how poetic meeting you here is, it seems like sort of a waste to just to merely train.”
“So…..” Mori said taking a stance facing off against Sasaki, practice sword in hand, with a smirk on her face that just oozed cockiness, “What do you say if we make this interesting, eh?”
Remaining hidden, remain curious he can not believe the girls were doing what girls normally do. They were gossiping or at least the girl named Moriko was. Did people really care that much or was she just one of Kuchiki Byakuya's fan girls. Fan girls were not so much something new or even well known to the boy, but he came across the word when hearing about Byakuya,Ukitake and Toshiro. The incident had a lot more to it then meets the eye, the situation itself was hard to deal with as Aoi did not even fully understand it, but the captain scared him into telling everything he knew the best way he knew how. The boy also learned that this man Shio was a trouble maker and a potential danger to soul society as he decided to report to Blodeweun-dono on the matter as he kept a slight eye on the girls wondering if he should keep his presence hidden or just pop in and say hi. He was a bit nervous and a bit bored, but he was as always mostly hungry at this point and just a bit sleepy as he awaited for things to pick up at some point. What were these girls going to do out here he began to wonder.

Perhaps it was a quirk of fate, maybe it wasn't who knew. She'd simply come here today to better herself. Why Moriko was here, she wasn't quite sure. She seemed to be enjoying herself though, laughing like a crazy person at a joke Shiori was sure she hadn't given. Maybe she really wasn't all there in the head. Eventually Moriko calmed herself and returned to the conversation at hand, saying how it would be interesting to have a partner for training, but simple training wasn't enough she said. She wanted to make it more interesting, how did she plan on doing that.
Shiori glanced at the wooden sword in the girl's hand and then back at her. "This is all I have, I hope you don't mind," she raised her right hand holding her zanpakuto as she spoke, indicating that's what she was talking about. "Though I'm not sure what you meant by making it more interesting, how do you plan on doing that?"
She was truly curious and she wanted to know what was on the partly insane lady's mind. Though it didn't matter, a spar was a good way for her to keep her fangs sharp. When the real battle came, she wanted to be able to just rip her opposition apart no questions asked, and practice was the only way she knew to get better.

“Heh, that’s fine,” Mori said quickly glancing at the zan. It was a fairly standard katana design, though if Mori had to guess, she suspected that the blade was longer than the average katana. A two handed fighting style maybe? Of course with Zanpakuto the size of the blade meant absolutely nothing.
Mori’s own Zan, in both its sealed form and shikai, lead her to favor a one handed style. Her stance looked more like a knife fighting stance, though the added reach of her practice sword meant that the stance was modified a bit.
“Hmm-hmm, hmm-hmm, Kido corps versus the First. Battle of the century. The pride of our organizations on the line. I figure that deserves pretty high stakes, ri~~~ght~?” Mori joked. She didn’t really expect Sasaki (or whoever else who may or may not be listening) to actually rise to her taunts, but seeing how she reacts would tell Mori a good bit about her, “Ah, I got an idea! I just got this new product imported from the world of the living, a rather interesting costume, gothic lolita I believe they call the style? What do you say that the loser has to come into work one day wearing it?

Shiori nodded her when Moriko saod she was fine with the use of her zanpakuto. She transferred the blade to her left hand holding onto the scabbard, then she gripped the hilt with her right and drew the blade free. She held onto the scabbard in a reverse grip and bent her knees slightly, her left foot went forward her scabbard coming in front of her in a guard while she held her actually sword behind her at the ready.
She smiled at the banter leaving the fist division shinigami's lips. Well then clearly she needn't hold back if it were to be a battle of the century, though one thing did have her confused.
"What's a gothic lolica?" She had some thought that she wouldn't like it and it would be best if she didn't lose this spar. She waited a few moments giving Moriko time to answer before she pointed to the ground in front of Moriko with her index finger. "Hadō #4 Byakurai." The bolt of lightning fired and ate up the distance quickly, whether or not Moriko would realize it was aimed at the ground beneath her feet and not herself wasn't Shiori's concern. As the bolt hit the ground creating a loud noise and cloud of dust to hide Shiori from Moriko's vision she would enter a step and exit behind Moriko her scabbard swinging to hit the female shinigami in the back of the neck, no doubt an attempt to render her unconscious.
{Spoiler}Name: Hadō #4 Byakurai (Pale Lightning) * Class: Kido Tier: II Type: Offensive Range: Medium (30m) Incantation: Broiling black, fervent heat, be rejected! Description: The user gathers high-density reiryoku, which they discharge from both hand. Alternatively, they point at their target with their index finger and generate a concentrated bolt of lighting towards them. It's speed is x.1.5 faster than a Bala, unique to it.
The small boy watched as the girls seemed to be getting ready for a small little fight between the two of them, he began to wonder what kind of techniques this kidoshu would use. He was watching patiently, hidden away by his technique. If he moved his presence would be made clear, but he was not eager to reveal himself. He was however curious and began to wonder if this girl was like Shio Mora, a bit evil and corrupt. He was feeling a bit sleepy as there was some zanpakuto observation as well as some training sword that really seemed a bit outdated to the small boy.
He then sat down hugging his knees to his chest since he felt just a bit lonely, but it could not be helped they were in his spot and its not like he wants to be caught between two girls right now. He was not really the comfortable around girls either since his only real boy to girl relations was his sister in life and she went all old and then hollow on him. Only time would tell how this battle would go and just as he was wondering what would happen the girl went crazy and blast lightning towards the other girls feet.

The problem with Kido was that it's slow. Even with incantation abandonment you still needed to proclaim the name of the spell. Even without the supernaturally speeded reflexes of your average Shinigami that was still more than enough time to dive for cover. It was good for ambushes and if there was someone to cover you. In a one on one duel where the other guy has a pretty decent idea of what to expect? Not so much.
“Lots of frills and ribbons and girly stuff,” She answered waiting until the last syllable of “Byakurai” to Shunpo away. The Kido hit the ground and kicked up a cloud of dust just as Sasaki expected, but Moriko wasn't waiting behind it. By sheer dumb luck her Shunpo took her right near where Aoi sat invisibly. It was close enough that another couple inches and she would have tripped right over him.
“You know-" She started only to have the words die in her mouth when Sasaki attempted to step behind her.
That? That was when everything fell apart.
See, Moriko barely managed to avoid tripping over the boy. She had her back to him, facing Sasaki. With her back to him, well, when Sasaki tried to Step to behind her back to deliver the knock out blow chances are pretty good that things would get very awkward very quickly when the Shinigami suddenly found an invisible boy right beneath her feet.
Moriko didn't know about that. She just reacted with panicked instinct to suddenly finding the other woman behind her. With a squawked "Wha-!" she half turned, half fell away from Sasaki while bringing her left arm up in a chop. The overall execution was rather sloppy, but the attack itself was beyond "Self Defense for Dummies." It cut through the air like an unseathed blade, not the meaty thud of a karate chop. Would Sasaki even notice her moment of mistakenly revealed competency while dealing with the invisible boy though? That was the question.
In either case, Mori Stepped again to put some distance between her and Sasaki and turned to face the other woman.
Name: Drawing the Blade Class: Hand to Hand Tier: III Type: Offensive Range: Self Description: The first technique in a martial art designed to apply the principles of sword fighting to hand to hand fighting. Though a hand to hand tech, since it's based off the principles of sword fighting if the user's weapons mastery is lower than their hand to hand mastery it treats their hand to hand mastery as if it was the same level as their weapons mastery for advantages. The user uses spiritual power to harden their limbs to steel and attack with them. These attacks cut or pierce as if made with a sword since that's basically what they're imitating. It deals tier damage. Duration: 7 posts
The boy was caught between a rock and a hard place or to be more accurately a crazy girl and a silly girl. At the very least he did not like the coincidence as he flash step dodged as he appeared to the side of them creating a triangle formation between the three of them. She nearly hit him, what was wrong with these people and just striking or flailing randomly, or was she expecting to be taken from behind while her guard was down. He sat on a training post as he looked at them glaring a bit before sighing.
"Please be careful, I still need to do my training too you know" as the wind blew through the boy's hair as the day would change and their fates would be intertwined to say the least as the world was not so small as to allow you to hide deep within it.
A part of the boy wanted to just take his spot back by force, but he was not unreasonable just a bit stubborn. If they poked and prodded too deep they might stir up trouble and with Aoi's nature trouble was never ever really far away at all.

The other shinigami moved, as Shiori guessed she would have though her timing was a bit off. She decided to go right as Shiori fired the kido allowing Shiori the time to follow her movements via reiatsu senses. As planned Shiori entered her own step upon impact of her kido, using the sound of the explosion and the dust to cover up the evidence of her own step usage. She reappeared behind Moriko, poised to strike when suddenly the familiar sound of swishing robes could be heard. She stopped short of swinging her sheathe at Moriko to follow the new reiatsu signature that had appeared.
Between them some distance away she saw a a young blonde boy wearing the Kidoshu uniform. This moments distraction allowed Moriko to catch Shiori off guard, the hand that came swinging in a chopping motion was going for Shiori's face. On instinct she held up her zanapkuto in the path of the chop before speaking.
"Bakudo #39, Enkosen."
The golden arc quickly protruded from her weapon, stopping the chop before it reached her. If it had been executed more smoothly, chances are Shiori would be feeling some amount of pain right now. She withdrew from Moriko and turned, facing the new comer sitting upon a training post as if it were some high horse. His was probably the presence she'd felt earlier for that brief moment.
"Well you've some nerve don't you. Sneak in here, hiding yourself in the middle of the training grounds and then tell us to be careful?" A scowl broke out on Shiori's face as she gave the blonde boy a look of disapproval. "I think you're the one who should be apologizing for interrupting our training session and explain why you were sneaking around watching us in the first place."
Shiori wasn't about to acknowledge this man, no, not when his first actions left the impression of a coward on her. She disliked cowards, more so the ones who never owned up to the things they did, but somehow tried to make it seem as if it were entirely someone else's fault.

“Heh, don’t be too harsh on kid. Afterall, he does look to be about that age, and we are two beautiful women. I’m sure he’s just curious,” Mori lightly joked. Honestly she wasn’t too surprised to see Aoi. See, it turns out that laying on the ground pretending to be a murder victim counted as meditative enough for her to focus on her ability to sense reiatsu. She knew that Aoi was there and watching since the moment he first arrived. Him using some technique to cut off his reiatsu either meant that he wanted a closer look or that he was making a quiet exit. Considering how he showed up, he obviously went with option one.
Originally she had planned to pull her corpse act until he ended up coming out of hiding, but instead Sasaki showed up first. Oh well. She had no problem with that.
“Is that it? Were you just curious little boy?” She cooed leaning forward towards Aoi with an evil smile on her face before turning back to Sasaki, “You know, I have no problem with him joining in if you don’t. I could probably find something to put him in for the bet. Maybe a roaring twenties style suspenders ‘n pork pie hat combo? Or do you think going trap would be better?”
The kidoshu woman spoke first with a scowl on her face it was as if she was glaring the boy to death for no apparent reason. She wanted to ask him why he was watching them, why he was there and why they should apologise to him. It was his spot how could they not understand the situation they were in now. She did not seem to have a good impression of the boy who was normally simply to understand.
The other girl then spoke about not being harsh on a kid, was he the kid amongst these really old but beautiful women. She was right about one thing, he was definitely curious since he had minimal contact with girls other than his sister back when he was alive. She seemed so chilled in the situation that this other girl may very well be a bit stupid or just carefree. It was hard to draw the fine line between idiot and genius at times as misinformation can make things strange.
She asked if he was curious as he blushed then looked down to the side fidgeting with his feet a bit. She then spoke of joining and some talk of a porcupine trap as he tilted his head slightly lost as he answered.
"This is my spot, I just wanted to see when you two would be finished with it so I can practice a few more explosions"
As he pointed to a few blown up training dummies and some random craters here and there that had been made during his training the previous day. He had a habit of going overboard sometimes, which was just him being curious about how big an explosion he could make

Shiori stood there for a moment staring the bow down but still paying attention to what Moriko was saying. She was talking the whole thing for a joke, but still She had sensed someone earlier then they disappeared. Seems he was using Kyokko to hide and watch them. Shiori didn't like it, who hid from comrades in arms, and why was Moriko entertaining this nonsense. She heaved a sigh and looked down to the ground, allowing herself to calm for a bit. Then the kid opened his mouth and her head snapped right back up at him
She entered a step, exiting right in front of Aoi her body held low so he wouldn't quite see her off the hop. She came quick and smoothly, like a boxer almost and shot a right straight out torquing her waist and shoulder to add a kick to the punch.
"Your spot huh?! Where do you get off saying that, and in such a condescending tone."
Regardless of whether or not she hit, her hand would pull back quickly held up to guard her face and her elbow tucked in tight to her side. Hopefully she would knock some sense into this ill mannered brat. His spot, who did he think he was. She was almost ashamed his was another kidoshu member.
He listened in confusion at the one hostile girl and on the other end there was the more cheerful girl. He was actually rather shy, but it seemed that the master of hostility did not get any of this. Dealing with small children was something you had to get used to sometimes in Soul Society, and at other times you could spend your days in a lab or in deep meditation to get stronger and more powerful until the day you can get no stronger.
The girl took a step as he began to wonder why these girls in the kidoshu did not like him. Was it cause he was a boy or because they were maybe jealous. She appeared below as he wondered why he did not get off the training post as what she was doing seemed dangerous. She seemed to be going for something violent as he fell back as he just watched the training post explode before his eyes. Was this crazy woman trying to kill him or something as she spoke like some degenerate or backwaters country girl. Not that he even knew what that was, but her composure seemed more like a brute from squad eleven then a member of the kido corps. Was the world only full of violent girls, though he remembered meeting a harmless girl in Kurakara town and this other girl seemed more laid back.
He got confused as she said his tone was condescending as his small mind tried to get a grip within this chaos.
"Not sure what condescending is, but I usually train here"
He knew it was a nice spot, the wind blew in his hair to make him look cool, the air fuelled the flames or seemed to fuel the flames of his techniques and there were good spots for explosions he had not used yet. He did have to scratch his head a bit as the dust and splinters of the training post landed in his hair. He had no idea what to do and why she was setting up a defensive stance. Did she want to fight with him?

"Whoa, hey, save it for the sparring ring! (which we're... technically standing in...) but anyways!" Mori said strolling forward towards the pair before suddenly stopping in her tracks about halfway to them to peer suspiciously at Aoi, "Heee~~~y, actually now that I think about it, she might just have a point. It's pre~~~tty suspicious~"
"AHA! I GOT IT!" She declared slamming a pointed finger in Aoi's direction, "You're part of a secret, ancient death cult that worships the long dead corpses of the titans and seek to throw Soul Society, the living world, and all of existence into true oblivion, aren't you!? Now you're here to sacrifice us to your dark gods, huh!? Admit it! I've got you figured out!"
It was, in short, completely and utterly ridiculous. That was the point. She wanted to break the tension and make Sasaki realize how foolish she was being by turning the whole event into a joke. If Mori had to make herself look like a buffoon to do so... Well, that was the whole reason she cultivated her "Dark Mistress of Paperwork" persona in the first place.
"No? No. Right, or well maybe he's just a kid who saw a couple strangers in his normal spot and was too shy to properly introduce himself," She commented to Sasaki as an alternative explanation. Turning back to Aoi she leaned back on her heels and said, "So you made all that destruction? Pre~~~tty impressive. What's your name then, kid?"

He'd managed to dodge her punch by falling off the post, casually. That almost made her even angrier as the blow was meant to be educational to the young punk, but she guessed that would have to wait another time. Her hands were lowered to her side and she huffed a breath turning to look at Moriko with a squinted eye.
"You just keep defending him, whatever it's not worth all my energy." Her voice rang with finality. She'd no desire to deal with this kid, eventually he would grow up and learn better, until then she hoped he did his best not to irk her though it seemed like he wouldn't know it if he was anyways so that wasn't likely.
Currently he was completely oblivious to why she had become upset, though it seemed Moriko didn't share his intelligence even she did do well acting the fool. She closed her eye, listening to the conversation going on between Moriko and Aoi for a bit before speaking up after the boy said his piece in response to Moriko.
"Either way this is a large area, I'm sure we can all make use of it. You can either join us or we'll mark and line. And no one, no one crosses the line." The way she said it was more of a statement than a suggestion. She'd come here to get some valuable time in training wise, she was losing all the time she had before it was back to work and she didn't much care for that. She opened her eye, her head tilted in Aoi's direction, looking at him as she waited to hear his response.
