Shio's face looked like it could've been chiseled from stone, at this point. He didn't react at all to Byakuya's presence, didn't even seem...there, anymore. It brought to mind a literal statue, like he had turned comatose. It took maybe four or five seconds before he replied, and when he did his response was...remarkably mature, remarkably measured. He didn't rush his words, and he didn't seem to give off so much as a single sign of the neuroses that Aoi had noticed just a few moments ago. It was as if some kind of switch was flipped as soon as Byakuya had arrived; in a sense, it had. This was a simple case, a simple situation. Something he had spent the last few years working on. He could tapdance his way through the eyes of his superiors immediately, without a single moment of hesitation.
"I was roused from my room by a supposed summons due to a Kidoushi. I came, only to hear him deny at least two requests to introduce himself, on the part of my comrades. I attempted twice myself, and until the fifth response he didn't so much as make a comment on the topic. In addition, he seemed entirely unaware of my current retinal damage, a matter of public record and something that Soshi Hirashi herself was a witness to the circumstances leading up to. His suspicious actions, his borderline non-existent social skills, and the monotonous nature of his responses, combined with the dubious nature of the letter he read aloud to me, led me to conclude he was an imposter of some sort. I endeavored to subdue him in as non-violent a manner as possible. I make no excuses for my actions, Captain Kuchiki. I responded to a perceived threat, with a degree of force I felt appropriate."
He closed his eyes, hands resting over his chest in a calm, almost...peaceful gesture. He said nothing more, simply stood there with a faint, tiny smile on his face. If Aoi wanted to try and paint Shio in an unflattering light in front of his superior officers, he'd find himself hard pressed. This was a game he'd been playing since before Aoi had even been born, and it was a game he had learned all too well.

KUCHIKI BYAKUYA . Sixth division TAICHOU . HEAD OF THE NOBLE KUCHIKI CLAN YOU THINK YOURSELF MY EQUAL WHEN IN TRUTH YOU AREN'T EVEN CLOSE TO MY LEVEL [keepkeep]
Byakuya listened first to the Kidoshu, who spoke of coming here on an assignment to essentially recruit a member of the first. Though he wasn't the Captain of the 1st division, He had heard nothing of this type of exchange. Byakuya was well informed on the happenings within Soul Society, Such was the case when your Division is essentially the poster boy for the Soul Society Laws. When Shio spoke, it didn't help the case for the Kidoshu.
"So you mean to tell me, that you came here to forcibly bring this Shinigami into the ranks of the Kidoshu, A division that isn't even apart of the 13 Court Guard Squads. Not only this but when asked to identify yourself they had to ask five separate occasions? Your case is looking more and more suspicious, Aoi Sora. On top of this you refuse to explain yourself to a Taichou. Had you explained yourself, your case might be possible, however not only have you shown great disrespect to this Shinigami, but you dare to also show disrespect to your Superiors."
Byakuya's Reiatsu increased on the Kidoshu boy as he moved towards him.
"You can return to Blodeuwen Soshi, and inform her that if she wishes to have this boy she should come herself instead of sending an arrogant, disrespectful child."
Byakuya was beyond steamed at this point, This boy refused to explain himself when directly commanded by a Superior officer. Byakuya moved to the boy, taking the latter from him before releasing them both from his Reiatsu.
"Do not attempt to leave the Seireitei, Aoi Sora, Your actions on this day are in direct conflict to the laws of Soul Society. Return to your Soshi, and inform her that Kuchiki Byakuya stands in her way of this boy. If she wishes to have him in the Kidoshu, she should first approach his Captain, the Captain-Commander. Making demands of the members in a Squad she has no control over is stepping far beyond her bounds and that is not something I will allow. Tell her, that if she tries to do this again, I will personally see her stripped of her position. The Kidoshu are not apart of the 13 Court Guard Squads, she has no right to make demands from them."
He was staring directly down at the boy through the eye slots in his mask at this point, his slate-grey eyes not showing a single hint of emotion yet despite this it was obvious he was not to be trifled with. This boy far overstepped his bounds.
"Now, I will ask you one last time. Explain yourself, If you refuse I will have you arrested for defying the laws of Soul Society."
The boy looked down and sighed. "I just did not want to speak badly of him. When I got here I offered him the letter which he refused and he asked me I think twice, to say I knew exactly how many times would be lying. He told me to read it out loud and since it was only meant for him I asked him for somewhere without others. He was already upset with me when I got here and he asked me to read the letter then when I read it he interrupted me a few times so even if I wanted to, I would have had to disrespect him in order to tell him my name since he was not calm at all. He only calmed down cause you are here, I am still new so I do not know who has what authority. My main mission was to give him the letter and take him to meet with my superior, but then he started complaining about her ruining his life and some other stuff which has nothing to do with me. Then when I finally got a chance to introduce myself he attacked me with a binding art and I evaded it. I also never said he had to come with me, I said I was suppose to bring him with me."
He took a deep breathe before composing himself and thinking all the while during his discussion when he noticed something.
"He speaks of no social skills, but he spent the entire time shouting at me. I would like to know how threatening I am cause I will be honest and say I am proud that at least one person in Soul Society thinks I am a threat."
He kept thinking this through then remembered there were other things as well.
"Is there anything I may have left out Kuchiki-taicho? Also it is not really a transfer, he was being requested as a liason, which means he would still be in the first squad and would be acting as a bridge between the kidoshu and them. Though I assume the injury to his eyes may have affected his judgement as well and will report to Blodeuwen-dono as soon as you allow me to."
All this talking was making Aoi hungry, he then realised something and spoke further. "Since you have the letter you are going to read about it probably as evidence so there is no point in trying to hide the contents. He had learned kido of a high tier without permission from his captain which is against the kido laws of soul society, so this made it a matter for the Kidoshu to deal with. Also a request for him to join had been sent to the gotei13 and he had the option of declining, but instead chose to complain and attack me."
And there was the child once more, trying to...play Shio's game. Trying to frame an issue. He did have to concede the boy was able to clean up well, to make his case without sounding -too- immature or incompetent. He even had the benefit of facts on his side; everything Shio said was utterly unfalsifiable, a mere matter of opinion. The boy needed nothing more than to draw attention to the truth, to make things go his way. But he was, once more, out of his league. Byakuya was one of the men perhaps best known for his objectivity, for not being swayed by pretty words. But that didn't mean Shio would just roll over and give up. He rose his hand slowly, brushing away one or two strands of hair.
"Had he mentioned this fact sooner, I would have been more inclined to believe he was truly a member of the Kidoushi. He wasn't aware of my transgressions until he read the letter, and his actions were too simplistic. They reeked to me of one who was either in beyond his depth, or being influenced by another. I did react in an...emotional manner to the contents of the letter, not least of all at Soshi Hirashi's rather heavy-handed attempt at intimidation. My crimes are a matter of internal protocol, and for her to reference them in such a manner left me in a somewhat compromised state of mind. All the same, I maintain that I was not in error in making every effort to subdue this child, until someone better suited to the circumstances were to arrive."
He swallowed slowly, ever so carefully. That was the easy part out of the way; one or two appropriately-ranked kido flung at a person of dubious rank and motives was absolutely nothing. To explain that away took less then an iota of effort. One simply had to point out how easy it was, to...see this child in action to know that something was very wrong. To understand that very nearly any suspicions about him were well-founded. But the notion that he had taught himself a hado of that complexity, that he had bothered to hide it from the public eye...that was a touch harder to justify.
"I will once more make no excuse for my actions. Here, or in the aforementioned case. I did what was best at the time, and likely would've died along with my comrades at the time had I not. I will accept whatever punishment is deemed appropriate."

KUCHIKI BYAKUYA . Sixth division TAICHOU . HEAD OF THE NOBLE KUCHIKI CLAN YOU THINK YOURSELF MY EQUAL WHEN IN TRUTH YOU AREN'T EVEN CLOSE TO MY LEVEL [keepkeep]
As they spoke Byakuya began reading the letter, though he was visually disturbed when he got the part about the 90's level kido. A few thoughts popped into his head, Firstly how did he learn such a dangerously powerful Kido without being noticed, and secondly, how did Blodeuwen find out about it?
Byakuya had just about heard enough from both of the Shinigami in truth, it was like listening to two children bicker over who gets the last serving of ice cream. He let out a soft sigh as he raised his hand to let them both know they needed to stop talking.
"I have heard enough from both of you at this point"
He turned to Aoi
"You there, Return to your Soshi now. Inform her of what I have told you and let her know to expect a visit from me in the near future. Until then this boy will remain here."
He then turned his attention to Shio
"I do not know how you came to possess the knowledge of such a powerful Kido, or how you learned it in secrecy. However what I do know is that you will be accompanying me to the Captain-Commander, to discuss this in more... Intimate detail."
At this point Byakuya was very confused, he wasn't sure how a lot of this had happened and quite frankly had more important things to worry about like the Vasto Lorde terrorizing Karakura Town. However he had to at least deal with this in some capacity first, it wasn't something he could simply put off until he returned. The fact he learned such a powerful Kido in the first place is astounding, the fact that he had also learned it in secrecy brought up only about a dozen more questions.
"As for your punishment, the Captain-Commander will decide. This is a matter that he must be made aware of if he is not already."
The boy had understood the situation and felt a bit bad that his Soshi might get in trouble because of him, though he was her responsibility is what his zanpakuto thought. His zanpakuto was more cynical mainly due to getting an outside objective view of the situation unlike the young inexperienced youth Aoi. This young prodigy was a bit sad that things turned out like this, he had missed his chance to go to the game centre and he also missed out on one of his favourite television shows called "One Slice" the epic pizza adventure anime in which the hero tries to find the greatest pizza of all preserved beyond the grand wall which is rumoured to have been formed from a pizza so delicious that everyone who had originally eaten it had either died and gone to heaven or survived to become the kings of the world today.
Meanwhile he listened to Byakuya and nodded before ending off with. "Sorry, Byakuya-taicho I hope to not cause any trouble for you in the future" as he finished off with a bow he then faced away and began an incantation since he felt like it.
"Guardian of the sky, I seek sanctuary! Bakudo #10 Kōmori Yoriyomi"
As he left through a circle that went outside and into the sky as he was now on his way back to report his findings.
{Tech}Name: Bakudo #10 Kōmori Yoriyomi (Bat Out of Hell) Class: Kido Type: Transportation Tier: II Range: Indefinite Incantation: Guardian of the sky, I seek sanctuary! Description: A white hole appears above the caster, who jumps through it. The circle shoots across the sky at amazing speed, of which even Shunpo would have a hard time of keeping up with, transporting them to another location, but can go no further than a 10 mile radius. Cannot be used in combat.
Shio watched the entire display unfolding with a stoic expression, his eyes closed without any sense of drama or fuss, his breathing calm and even. If there was one thing Shio was good at, it was not letting himself show weakness in front of others like this. He wasn't going to give the captain even a single inch of leeway, wasn't going to yield in the slightest. Let him do as he pleased, let him...say whatever he pleased. There was absolutely no way Shio was going to let himself sink into despair while this man was watching. There was no way he'd give the captains what they wanted.
"I would like to go on record that this is an unpardonable waste of time and resources. Captain-Commander Yamamoto is almost undeniably aware of these proceedings, as would be protocol for any transfer request. While I've no doubt you could force the Captain-Commander to rearrange his schedule around this circumstance, it almost certainly would end in an unsatisfying manner, given that he would still be bound by the no doubt lackluster pace of the Central 46. I have no intention of fighting, fleeing, or otherwise contesting the charges placed against me. To involve the Captain Commander at this juncture, just to have another finger to wag in my face, would be...reckless, superfluous, and nothing short of unprofessional. I imagine he would likely even think less of you for being incapable of acting in his stead."
His tone was cool and crisp, even if the words were bordering on insubordinate; he didn't even seem to acknowledge the inherent insult in the words he had just spoken, simply gazing off with a pensive expression, waiting for the inevitable response. For the captain to bear down on him once more, to...silence him with force. It would've been just in line with his expectations, after all; bullies rarely ever allowed themselves to be shown up, or to have their commands questioned. And that's what this was really about, no matter what Byakuya wanted to claim.
He was being a bully, at this point. He was trying to make Shio sweat, and he was going to be quite disappointed to find that there wasn't any sweat left to be spared for a man such as him.

KUCHIKI BYAKUYA . Sixth division TAICHOU . HEAD OF THE NOBLE KUCHIKI CLAN YOU THINK YOURSELF MY EQUAL WHEN IN TRUTH YOU AREN'T EVEN CLOSE TO MY LEVEL [keepkeep]
It was actually rather cute how much this Shinigami thought Byakuya cared for his words, after reading the letter Byakuya's care for the boy had declined severely and his words only made him care less and less... So much so that Byakuya interrupted him mid-sentence.
"You speak out of turn, Firstly I am here on more important matters than you. Matters that pertain to events transpiring currently that take prescience over your petty squabbling with the Kidoshu. Secondly you speak as though your word matters, being that you've broken the law you would not be standing here still if the Captain-Commander knew of these events. Thirdly the matter for which I am here for originally grants me an audience with him immediately, So do not think yourself so smart as to delay this. You may not outwardly have intentions for running or fighting back, but history has shown the Gotei that even those who do not show outward hostilities... Can still mean ill for the whole."
He was, of course, referring to Aizen. As he spoke he began to move passed the Shinigami that remained, stopping once he was but a few meters away from Shio.
"Now I would highly recommend that you remain in your barracks until I have discussed this matter with the Captain-Commander, and figure out just what the entire story behind this matter is."
With that Byakuya continued forward, onwards to meet first with the Lieutenant and inform him of why he was originally here... As well as that he had a secondary matter for which Yamamoto's attention should be diverted too as soon as he got such a chance and the sooner the better. In truth, he was fed up with both of the boys that had stood before him only a few moments ago. They both acted like children, unfit to wield their blades, and the other one... The 1st Division Shinigami, acted as though he was above the Captain... A grave misstep.
