WHAT'S THE POINT OF WINNING?
What a pain. With the First Jagdarmee spreading it's forces throughout Hueco Mundo in preparation of the Vandenreich's invasion of the Soul Society, Yhwach felt it necessary to send Bambietta to the hometown of Ichigo Kurosaki to make preparations of her own. That was how he worded things, anyways, but she knew exactly what he was having her do: Recruitment. To find any Quincy who might have survived his Auswählen and, in the event she finds anyone with a strong enough spiritual pressure, to capture potential pawns. The instruction not to cause a commotion, reveal her identity as a member of the Vandenreich, and to not kill any Shinigami she comes across almost made her want to vomit. It was only her stark devotion to her majesty that stopped her from going against this order and using this opportunity to seek out members of the Gotei 13 to crush under her heel. Just as he had instructed to Quilge before he was dispatched to Hueco Mundo, Bambietta was to find "idiots with guts" the Vandenreich could use toward their ultimate conquest of the world. Personally, she felt finding anyone who wasn't a Quincy to help in their cause absolutely beneath her but his majesty's words were law. Even if she wasn't extremely devoted to him, mere thoughts of going against him, of treason, were enough to be executed. With as strong a fear of death as she had, such an idea was even more ludicrous.[break]
It was for the aforementioned reason that Bambietta slowly walks the streets of Karakura Town, lightly adjusting her hat down so that it obscured her face. She had no opinion on the ordinary humans that walked on the opposite curb, nor the ones that passed her despite the young children asking their mothers if they could talk to the 'cosplayer.' The Quincy were a race superior to your average human (superior to all in her eyes), but that didn't make her forget where she came from. "Not a single one of these humans show any signs of spiritual awareness... but if His Majesty sent me here, he must know they exist. No way he'd send me on some kind of wild goose chase." The thought slips away as Bambietta turns a sudden corner and uses Hirenkyaku to create a platform of reishi beneath her feet temporarily. After kicking off it and landing atop one of the many residential homes in the district, Bambietta surveys the unaware populace with a bird's eye view. For hours she stands there, occasionally hopping from one building to the next to change the group of people she was spying on. Frustration sets in after the first two hours, but she swallows her anger as best as she can. Finally, as the sun fully sets and there are no more humans left on the streets, she descends gracefully and walks underneath the street lamps.[break]
It isn't long until her presence is noted by a bulky Hollow reminiscent of a giant scorpion. It's legs allow it to skitter closer and closer until it's closed the distance between itself and Bambietta. She notices it once it comes within fifty meters of her current position and she twists on her ankle to face it furiously. Just as her stress was beginning to hit it's breaking point, a nice little punching bag came across her path. "You should have stayed in Hueco Mundo, beast. Quilge would've given you a much better reception." As soon as the Hollow moves to try and flatten Bambietta with it's claw, a loud screech rings out into the night air. The screech is prefaced by a fierce explosion that blows it's claw clean off, the appendage crashing into a building off to the side. "...Shit. His Majesty's not gonna be happy about that. He didn't say anything about collateral damage, but I don't think I'm gonna be able to avoid gettin' chewed out by Haschwalth at least." The thought disappears as quick as it had come as Bambietta just barely avoids a glob of white liquid nearly colliding into her. This causes her to move a good few meters backward from the Hollow, whose oddly white colored blood oozes from it's wound. The globs that get practically fired out from it's open wound turn into smaller, white colored Hollow reminiscent of their "parent." It's the first time Bambietta has ever seen a Hollow like this one before, which makes her eyes widen slightly and her lips twist into a wild grin.[break]
"And here I thought this was gonna be boring. Perfect!" Using her main reishi ability was out of the question here, so she brings her Spirit Weapon out after shoving her hand off to the side. As the little Hollows move in to attack they each get cut into two, but that only causes the two halves to form into full miniature scorpion Hollows all on their own. And again, when those two get cut in half they become four. This strategy definitely wasn't working out for her, so there was only one option left. After having divided the scorpion Hollow into thirty abominations, and after using Hirenkyaku to scale a nearby building, Bambietta rears her sword back and slashes the air viciously. "DIE, INSECTS!" The roar rises up into the night sky as thirty arrows fly forth made of reishi, each one piercing into the multiplied Hollow and destroying them where they skittered. The Hollow lets out another shrill cry and rapidly rushes the building Bambietta was on, but it doesn't get too far before it ends up incinerated within a large explosion that stops it in it's tracks. Thankfully all the explosion scorches beyond the Hollow is the street below and a few lamp posts, but it's like Bambietta said to herself before. Collateral damage. Her Spirit Weapon disappears as she looks down upon the stains of blood the Hollow and it's children left, the roar of another large Hollow hitting her ear. As she turns on her heel to await the next monstrosity, unable to see it at present, her smile ceases to fade.
