Vanessa had read about a kido that she thought might be useful to her. Its name was Tsuzuri Raiden, and she figured she could probably utilise it through her zanpakuto. it would enhance her hand-to-hand combat as she truly excelled at using touch-spells. She read the incantation: "Voltaic river, follow your course and charge!" Sure. She repeated it to herself, as she faced the line of training dummies she had prepared. Her gauntlets were on the ground before her. It was fairly simple, she had been able to cast kido in the teens range for a while now, it was only spells in the fifties range that really stretched her. She gathered the reiryoku she would need and spoke the incantation; "Voltaic river, follow your course and charge! Hado 11, tsuzuri raiden!" she said, releasing the pent up reiatsu but she found herself immediately electrocuted. Her arms spasm'd. After she stopped the flow of energy, and her arms felt a little less rubbery she tried again- this time remembering to shroud the reiatsu about herself in such a way that she didn't suffer unnecessary electrocution. "Voltaic river, follow your course and charge! Hado 11, tsuzuri raiden!" She said, and this time it seemed to work.

She reached out and touched the training dummy in front of her, and it crackled with electricity. She picked up another that was nearby, and threw it at the first, whereby there was a large crack and the two dummies caught fire from a large electrical shock. Sweet! She put her gloves on. Time to try this.
"Voltaic river, follow your course and charge! Hado 11, tsuzuri raiden!" She cast, and immediately, she was electrocuted. This time she was curled upon the floor, unable to remove her hands from the gauntlets which were now electrically charged, and she spasmed until finally she was able to remove the kido. She sat up, panting and sweating, her limbs feeling slightly rubbery. Right- had to make sure that it didn't shock her. She gathered the reiatsu about herself, and ensured that she would not suffer rebound from the gauntlets, before casting again. "Voltaic river, follow your course and charge! Hado 11, tsuzuri raiden!" and this time she didn't suffer an electrocution from her glove. She ventured towards the dummy before her, and reached out and punched it. There was a crack of lightning and it exploded away from her, falling over and catching fire elsewhere while she dispelled the kido so that she was once more safe to touch.
