Private, training thread.
Inigo was craving company. For anyone in his immediate vicinity this was usually a bad thing- a terrible, terrible thing, in fact. For Inigo's idea of company was usually accompanied by some form of sadism, and those with whom he chose to spend his time seldom came out of the experience even vaguely alive. He was not a particularly complex, or thinking being despite having gained more reason since his transformation to a Vasto Lorde hollow. He used his newfound intellect for low, barbaric purposes, to sate his own sadist desires as well as to feed and gorge more effectively. The wastelands of Hueco Mundo were sparsely populated- an infinite desert of low population was a shitty place to try and find other people so the Vasto Lorde had decided that he ought to descend into the darkness of the forest below to meet an opponent and eventually feed upon their flesh. And so he blasted a hole in the sand with the sheer force of his reiatu and dropped down, the hissing of the sand as they moved and swayed and fell like tiny shards of glass the only sound following a soft "whump" that signified his landing. He had arrived.

His eyes adjusted to the change in light, two emerald orbs gleaming between the trees of stone. Everywhere around him was darkness, the hole he had created the only source of light, a pale moonbeam silhouetting Inigo's face. He felt, rather than heard or saw, a bustle of movement around him. The menos were here. He grinned his grotesque, twisted grin, and looked around him at the flashes of white bone in the darkness. He simply waited, his spiritual pressure and the delicious meal he would seem like to the starving adjuchas would be bait enough, even if they recognized his superior strength they would be driven to feed by desire and by greed. Inigo understood those emotions well, and he was using them now, to create a hope that he would rapidly extinguish as he tore their life from them with his bare hands.
He anticipated the jump before it happened, some poor soul had finally decided that the risk was worth the reward and leaped for Inigo. It had a slight, feminine body, that was also somewhat catlike. It tried to snap at Inigo's neck, but broke its teeth as its jaws clamped shut. It simply didn't have the killing intent required to harm him.

Its actions were derived from survival. Unlike Inigo it didn't truly have the capacity to hate, to feel the very conceptual loathing that drove him to take such joy in pain and causing others to hurt. As it hung to him, he reached out with an arm and grabbed its skinny frame, holding it through the hollow hole like a handle. It screamed in fear and displeasure, its hot blooded hunger fueled arrogance gone now. All that remained was the knowledge of its impending doom. Inigo grabbed its other side, his thumbs wrapped firmly through the hollow hole as it struggled to no avail. He looked it in the face, cementing his own horrifying smile as the last thing it would ever see in its miserable life.
Then he ripped it in twain, a gruesome cracking squelch rending the air as its body ripped from the hole both up and down, and he began to gorge himself on its organs and bones, his strong jaws crushing all as he gulped it down quickly and felt the refreshment of a soul filling his body even if it was a weak one such as this. Inigo cast aside the shattered remains of the body, where it turned to ash and settled upon the sandy floor.

Blood covering him and the sand around him Inigo leaped off of the small pile of sand he had been standing on, wiping his mouth with the back of an arm, he laughed a cruel, high, callous laugh before emitting an enormous, high pitched scream designed to terrify all those around him. He chuckled- now he would hunt his prey through the trees. The thrill of the hunt electrified Inigo, the fear he inflicted, the adrenaline he made to pump through his veins. It was an almost sexual thrill for him, and as he walked sedately forward, he activated his technique: the Lantern of Espanoza. It was the only light in the trees- the hollows would be all but blinded by it, but Inigo himself was totally invisible as there was no other light around. He stalked through the trees, his general presence but not his precise location given away by the lantern. He caught the scent of a hollow who was rabidly fleeing from him and he took chase. He used his sonido to appear in its path, constantly blocking its avenues for escape. He wouldn't kill yet. First he would let it know true despair. He cackled to himself, darkly.
{Spoiler}Name: Lantern of Espanoza Class: Hollow Technique Tier: III Type: Supplementary Range: 20m Description: This technique creates a lantern from the user's flesh which the user can manipulate telepathically. It moves very slowly, at a quarter cero speed. This light illuminates everything as normal except for the user, meaning that if this is the only source of light, the user is hidden, but can be seen as normal by any other light source.

It realized there would be no escape for it, and stood its ground, bravely but foolishly. Inigo laughed, he could smell its fear, the rancid stench of dread that overpowered even the blood he was spattered in. He turned the lantern off and gave the hollow the chance to adjust its eyes to see him. He grinned malevolently as the hollow, which was vaguely lizardlike, snaked forward to slash him with a clad. He grabbed its arm, and pulled it close to him as he charged a cero. It tried to squirm away, as Inigo grasped its other hand in his arm and broke both of its legs with swift kicks. The despair swelled to a rippling crescendo. This was it, Inigo felt exultation as the red orb swelled and became engorged, before he released it upon the hollow's head which was disintegrated by the force. Inigo tore chunks of flesh off of the body, and began to stuff them, swallowing with hardly chewing. It was then that he sensed a hollow a cut above the rest of these pathetic menos. He snapped around, to see it standing there, watching him. It was not a vasto-lorde hollow but it didn't look like a pushover either.

It was larger than a human- larger than Inigo who himself stood some nearly seven foot tall. It looked almost like a medieval knight, its mask flat and blank but for slits where its eyes were. It carried a great shield and a large broard-sword that appeared to be made of a kind of bony substance, similar to the material of hollow masks. Inigo sensed no fear here- only purpose and it enraged him to no end, he could feel his muscles pumping at the sight of this interloper who felt it could challenge him. It appeared to look him up and down before throwing him its sword which he caught awkwardly- before drawing another which had seemingly materialized in the scabbard at its belt. Inigo looked at it.
"You fight with the sword or you will die." she said in a rich alto purr. Inigo shoved the sword into the ground laughing, pouncing immediately upon the hollow, prepared to show her how wrong she was. He wanted to rip into her, to abuse her, to humiliate her and then make her watch as he ate her alive, for her insolence. He wanted to violently extinguish her and a fire erupted inside him as he leaped.
Post by Inigo Banderas on Mar 26, 2016 5:11:30 GMT
"Spare me your insolence!" he shouted, a fist crashing down upon the hollow, as he descended upon her. However she was faster than he had anticipated, and raised her shield which rang out in a pure, bright, crystal clear note. Inigo was about to respond but quick as a flash she drove her sword through his shoulder, before preparing to stab him again. He reached out to crush her but earned a cut on his arm for his troubles. The cutting intent of this hollow was commendable, and Inigo focused on making himself impenetrable. He had to focus his resilience such that he could be cut no more. He swept with his foot in a low kick, but she sprang over it and sent her sword whistling down towards his head. He cursed and threw up his arms, angling them such that the sword merely glanced off. She had not expected this and he used the opportunity to exhale a blast of sand in her face which she raised her shield to block, but the momentum of the sandstream was so great that they were blasted far apart from one another, sliding across the sand, both sent careering into trees.
{Spoiler}Name: Corriente De Arena (Stream Of Sand) Class: Hollow Technique Type: Offensive Range: 25 meters Tier: III Description: Inhaling deeply, the user exhales a powerful, continuous stream of sand at the speed of cero capable of peeling flesh off the bone, at advantage, within 10 Meters, and for those further than that, creating painful stinging and bleeding of all areas blasted by the sand, not to mention being blinded for as long as the sand is in their eyes.

Inigo could feel his cuts healing up thanks to his high speed generation. He was grateful for his own ability, as the stinging pain ceased. The hollow was eyeing him from behind her visor-like mask, and he couldn't help but feel that she was laughing at him. The sword's advantage was not its cutting power but its reach- she was able to keep him at a distance with it, which was what was dangeous. No matter how hard to cut he was, if she was able to draw blood she would always have an advantage if he couldn't get close. Her mirth faded to dismay as she noticed that his shoulder had all but healed up as he flexed it and drew the bone-sword from the ground. She would come to regret giving it to him he maniacally thought to himself as he imagined violently eviscerating her, and listening to her screams. He toyed with the sword, tossing it from one hand to another. His swordplay was not his strongest point, he had to admit and he was frustrated that she likely knew that. He watched her tense as he picked it up. Why had she given him the key to a certain victory?

They circled each other in the arena-like glade of trees. Their confrontation had caused a hole to be formed in the ceiling above them, and a crescent of moonlight flooded the clearing between the trees. Inigo blasted the sand flat with his reiatsu even as he snarled. She took the opportunity to leap forward and attack with a wide slash aiming to cut him from his right shoulder to his left hip. He swiped to parry and attempted to close the distance between them but her stance changed almost immediately and her blade came to meet his left side. He knew his skin was hard, nearly impenetrable and he focused his reiatsu upon himself, willing himself to become uncuttable. It worked slightly, and while he felt the sting of her blade, it did not bisect him or even get to damage his organs severely.
He brought his own sword up to cut her but her shield got in the way, and she pulled her sword free. Inigo launched on the offensive now, but she seemed to be able to block every last cut, swipe, and stab he offered, while lashing out at him and causing him several more cuts despite his best attempts to solidify his natural armour.
Post by Inigo Banderas on Mar 26, 2016 5:33:32 GMT
They locked blades, and Inigo took the opportunity to disengage a single hand from his sword, which he had up until that point been wielding dual-handed, and formed it into a conelike shape and impaling her with it. The shock meant that she had not had the opportunity to anticipate it and she staggered back. His own cut had almost healed already. Inigo laughed, once again placing both hands on the now bloody hilt of his sword and sending it flying down with a mighty blow which she managed to block on her shield, but he was fairly sure that it broke her arm as he heard a loud crack. He wondered why she was not countering his offensives but then noticed that she had been charging a cero as he pressed his advantage which he noticed at the last second with wide eyes.
He crossed his arms over his face and surrounded himself with reiatsu at the last second, as the red beam hit him square in the chest and lifted him into the air, his entire body feeling like it had just been hit by a train. He noticed that a proportion of it went straight through his hollow hole which was quite large, thus reducing the amount that hit him but it was nothing to shrug off.
{Spoiler}Name: Puncture Class: H2H Tier: III Type: Offensive Range: <5m Description: The user shapes their fingers similar to a cone shape, and hardens them with reiatsu. This can be used to stab opponents with extreme force.

He dropped back down to the ground, eyeing her with suspicion and newfound hatred. He looked to see how she was dealing with her wound, and with some horror, realized that it was beginning to heal up. She too could heal at a high speed rate. For the first time, Inigo almost felt something akin to self doubt before pure unadulterated rage flooded through him. His was his prey. He could not feel fear, or he would be the hunted and not the hunter. He roared, a mighty and terrifying sound and the blood in his veins began to boil. He flew at her, not caring about the wounds which had not quite healed as he struck again and again. She was fazed by his roar, but made no mistakes. Inigo recognized that she was the better swordswoman and despite all of his hatred and the dark desires he held he began to learn.
He began to recognize where she was besting him- he saw patterns in the feints and parries. He understood what parts of the sword she applied pressure to at different times, how a blow from the tip differed to a blow from the base of the sword.
{Spoiler}Name: Rugido (Roar) Class: Hollow Technique Type: Offensive Range: 25 meters Tier: III Description: Many hollows have been known to give off a recognizable roar or scream before attacking. For the most part, this just seems to announce their presence and intimidate the prey they stalk, but for some hollows this roar can cause far more damage than simple intimidation. A hollow with this ability can scream with enough power to cause a shock-wave of sonic force, traveling at Cero Speeds, strong enough to crack the earth around it and force opponents of equal or lesser rank backwards, injuring their hearing and sense of balance.

Inigo was crazy. Batshit insane- a violent psychopath. He didn't see himself as evil- for that he would have had to have a comprehension of others as beings whose happiness, whose feelings were the same and distinct as his own. When the only measure of good in the world is one's own pleasure, and when one derives pleasure from watching others feel fear and despair- without understanding those as being emotions similar to one's own, a person such as Inigo is the result. Most people, however, tended to disregard Inigo as stupid- a being of intelligence could never commit such heinous acts. That was what made Inigo so deadly. Many people dismissed him as being non-verbal for he seldom felt the need to speak to his prey. But Inigo spoke. He spoke and he was intelligent- exceedingly intelligent, and a fast learner to.
So he had little issue picking up on the swordplay between himself and his opponent. The safety net that his high speed regeneration provided for him as well as his vastly superior strength and endurance meant that despite his opponent seeming gradually to tire as they exchanged blows, he learned more and grew more adept, delight creeping over his gore-splattered face.

He ducked and weaved, parried and thrusted. He obtained a cut upon his shoulder as she struck back but quick as a flash he thrust his sword below her guard and she only just managed to block it away with her shield. He still felt fresh, from the adrenaline that raced through his bones and the mounting excitement that his opponent was tiring as much as from his actual energy reserve. She thrust her shield at him and he caught it, and she used the momentary distraction to try and cut his neck. But he was used to those kinds of moves by now and deflected the base of her sword with the tip of his own, providing him much greater leverage to knock her sword away, her shield clasped firmly in his other hand, he slashed at her own neck. She dodged at the last second, relinquishing her shield, but he still managed to slash her windpipe. He would have pressed but the dropping of the shield had given him reverse momentum and so he staggered backwards before launching it through several trees, which collapsed nearby. His bloody face was illuminated by the moonbeam now as he stood over his opponent.

She fired off an enormous stream of Bala, pummelling his whole body. She got to her feet, her form massive and imposing as Inigo failed to react in time and took punishment. His anger sizzled and roared, as she put both hands upon the hilt of her sword and drove at him with a mighty lunge. She was strong! Inigo had not taken into account that she had been duelling one-handed up until now. Her strength effectively doubled, her blows had a new edge. He felt himself healing slowly from the bruises and even perhaps a broken bone- he was really taking one hell of a beating.
They clashed more, still cutting one another to ribbons. Inigo had the edge now, his swordsmanship having improved vastly and the hollow's strength flagging compared to his, she began to succumb to more and more injury. It took more and more strength to heal after each cut, more energy to knit together the sore muscles and skin and she looked like she was beginning to tire. Inigo's grin widened, as he had her backed up against a tree, blocking blow after blow with her sword as he swung and swung down at her before suddenly; crack!

He had sliced her sword apart, cutting her down her front. She blasted him with some form of energy attack he wasn't anticipating in return, sending him flying backwards. His skin tingled with burns and he he howled. If he hadn't hardened his skin at the last second that blast would surely have killed him. He slumped down and watched her as she seemed to pulsate for a second, he sensed her reiatsu which had been waning up until that point condensing. She was using her powers! He watched her body distort, and heard crunching noises as it seemed to contract into a kind of four-legged form. He then noticed that her torso was as it had been- she resembled something between a centaur and a mounted knight. Inigo brandished the sword as she roared and charged, a lance now in her hand. He batted it away and attempted to cut at her, but she kicked him in the face with a hoof-like foot. He stumbled backwards. He needed to get some distance- long enough to recover slightly. He used a hollow technique to trap her within her own shadow, which pinned her down for several moments as he fled between the trees.
{Spoiler}Name: Ensombreza Cobija (Shadow Blanket) Class: Hollow Technique Type: Defensive/Binding Range: 25 meters/Self Tier: III Description: The user shoots reiryoku into their own shadow, pulling it up around them like a thick, dark, slightly transparent blanket, hence the name. This is among the absolute fastest of all Hollow techniques in execution speed, being used for a last minute defense against fast attacks, such as Bala. One of the only weaknesses of this technique is that while the user is shielded with their own shadow, so too are they incapable of moving, until the shield is broken or dissipated by the user. The user is also capable of using this shadowy cover to trap an opponent at half bala speeds, using the target's shadow. The shadow can only rise up 7 feet from the ground to engulf either the user or the target, however once it comes in contact with what it is meant to cover, it can stretch over even the largest Gillian.

He fled to where there were no holes in the roof of the forest. Menos around him fled not just the Vasto Lorde hollow but the enraged adjuchas who was giving chase, screaming profanities at him. He stepped using his sonido and attached Lanterns to the trees, illuminating the forest with a warm, steady cream-yellow light. The forest which before had been dark and ominous looked as though it was inhabited by something ethereal, as though fairies had taken up residence in the petrified stone trees. Except these fairies were dark, grim, twisted creatures, lanterns of bone created from Inigo himself.
The hollow charged into the trees but Inigo was totally invisible to her. The lanterns were the only source of light, and he was invisible to them. The faintest outline of Inigo would be visible from the moonlight far away, but it was overpowered by the brightness of the more immediate lights. She roared and, presumably unaware what the source of his disappearance was, began launching bolts of energy every which way. Inigo was a master at hiding his presence as well. He waited to make his move, feeling his many wounds slowly healing up. As he healed he almost felt more secure, in the way scar tissue always feels tougher.

"How impotent you are." he sneered in an effort to wind her up further. She would hear the voice right next to her ears and as she did, she screamed in frustration and turned around, shooting another blast at where she thought he should be as his cackle echoed through the trees.
"STOP HIDING YOU FREAK. TO THINK I THOUGHT YOU WERE A VASTO LORDE, NO VASTO LORDE WOULD RUN." he voice was a horrific screech, not the self-assured low purr he had heard before- it was almost banshee like, and it sent chills down Inigo's spine. Still- he felt that he might as well oblige. He dropped down from his hiding place up in the trees, and sliced her lance-wielding arm clean from her shoulder with his sword.
"What a pitiful creature you are. I am going to enjoy eating your skin." he said in a bleak but somehow insidiously gleeful voice, and even in her enraged state, he saw her stop. He looked in her eyes, through the visor of her mask and saw true terror and an almost orgasmic pleasure flooded through him, his whole body burned with joy, as she regenerated her arm, and wheeled around frantically. This was almost too easy.
Post by Inigo Banderas on Mar 26, 2016 8:10:24 GMT
He stepped forwards and sliced off both of her forelegs, and she gave out a scream of pain. Before she could begin to regenerate, he began charging a cero on his hand, after slicing both of her arms off. The cero was aimed right for her abdomen. He was close enough that she would be able to faintly see the blue of his face despite him mostly being transparent. He smiled at her and he saw the recognition in her eyes, the acceptance of her fate, and she screamed no more, only looked at him with an unrivalled hatred. He unleashed his cero into her abdomen and it struck her with such force that she was bisected, the two halves of her body spinning away through the air, showering blood everywhere. Her torso crashed into a tree and he heard her ribs crack with a snap.
She fell to the floor as he approached her, the lanterns all extinguishing one by one, and so by the distant moonlight, Inigo gradually came into focus. By some miracle, she was still alive. He would soon rectify that. He watched her body begin to regenerate into its original form. Her organs were destroyed though- she was dead either way.
Post by Inigo Banderas on Mar 26, 2016 8:22:08 GMT
He bent down, a twisted grin upon his face, and ripped her arm off, as she screamed in pain, and ate it there, splattering them both in her blood. When he was done, he began to consume her- she was large so it took a while, but it wasn't until he had eaten half of her torso that she finally ceased whimpering, and she was finally dead. Such was the end for anyone who crossed a Vasto Lorde hollow as she had crossed him. As he crunched through the remains of her skull, feeling the sweet spiritual energy flowing through him as he regenerated some of the more serious wounds he had attained during their conflict. He looked around- the forest was once again dark and still. The other menos had clearly run as far away from the combat as they could, Inigo would find no more prey here. He stretched, popping some muscles in his back. He leaped upwards, smashing through the roof of the forest, leaving yet another of many holes in it. They would soon be filled in by the drifting sand, however which stretched endlessly over the world of the night. Wiping some of the gore off of himself, Inigo set out, back towards the cave he had made his home.
Post by Inigo Banderas on Mar 26, 2016 8:47:13 GMT
As he tramped through the sand, Inigo's head was filled with confusion. Why had that adjuchas given him her sword? She was larger than he, she could have kept him at bay. Of course Inigo would have killed her another way, he had not even resorted to utilizing his true power through the course of the combat, and his adaptability would have destroyed her. But she was not to know that- what reason could there be for it. While he didn't understand the idea of others possessing experience he could follow the idea of them acting according to reason and logic. But that seemed to be illogical. There must have been something else to it, and there was nothing that immediately stuck out. It bothered him immensely, and as he walked, the sand and wind scouring the blood from his body, he wondered if she had just been arrogant. He doubted it- any hollow smart enough to square up to him would never have been that dull. Maybe she had been in love with him, he considered- though he wasn't sure if such a thing could be true. He certainly didn't understand love- this was something he also didn't understand, so he supposed that perhaps, his opponent had loved him. And he had eaten her while she was still alive.
"Oh well." he said aloud to himself as he arrived at his cafe, unfazed.
