[OOC: This is a thread that anyone can sorta jump in on and chill with Sachiko. Make up a loose context for their interaction, if you wish. Like where and what they're doing.]
Just another routine mission with a simple objective. Follow the map to the sensor relays, repair them, head home. Easy, right? Of course not. It's never easy. Always something went wrong, the fates intent to toss their divine wrench into the plan. Sachiko knew this very well, as she hopped out of the way of another punch from a petulant hollow. A big, ugly, ape-looking thing. They were attracted to strong spiritual pressure, even a simple soul reaper like Sachiko was a very pleasing meal for some blood thirsty hollow. The empty hearted beast reared its arm back again, its fist lighting with spiritual energy. Sachiko stood ready, no longer content to run and dodge all day. She grabbed her sword, drawing it with great speed to meet the hollows encroaching fist. The creature's fingers cluttered to the ground.
The hollow roared in pain, enraged with a renewed hunger for the shinigami's soul. Sachiko had quite enough of the creature's noise. The shinigami twirled her sword through her fingers, he body aglow with blue light. Her voice was clear, calling for her power, "Crash down, Ryujin." Her sword elongated into its spear formed shikai. The hollow reared back another strike, following through with great force, with its only remaining hand. Sachiko was ready. She slashed her spear in time with the hollow's attack, drawing a line of pain across its knuckles. With her opportunity set, she flash stepped to the hollow's rear. As she stepped behind it, trapped it in a glacial prison of ice. A crack, another, and then it shattered, raining glittering shards all around. A trail of black energy carried off the hollow's soul beyond the sky, to the Soul Society.
Now Sachiko could return to work. She drew a cell phone from her pocket and tapped the screen. It showed a map, with a marker for her objective. She flash stepped slowly to the location, ever wary of more hollows, shikai in hand. Sachiko tapped on the screen of the phone again over the location set by the marker. At her command, a metal box burst from the ground. She knelt down and slid a panel open, exposing a screen and set of buttons. At first glance she noticed the issue. It was off.
Sachiko groaned, “What a waste of time.” She simply pushed a button, and the metal box lit up with mechanical life. Sachiko checked her phone, and it seemed the relay was working again. Now for the others. She checked her phone as she started walking to her newest objective. As she walked, Sachiko felt a twitch. She sensed spiritual pressure, something was approaching.
It was indeed someone approaching Sachiko. A rather bored teenager with far too much free time on his hands. Seriously! Shouldnt Liam be in school around this time or something? Or at the very least doing homework or hanging around with friends. It was almost as if he had nothing better to do than wander around the town looking for interesting spiritual activity.
Well. At least looking for ghosts was a tad bit more interesting than doing whatever people his age normally did. Liam stopped in his tracks and tilted his head to the side. Just realizing something. He had no idea what normal people his age did for fun.
He spent most of his free time battling the souls of the dead. For him, that is his main form of entertainment. Sure he might have some other minor hobbies. But oddly enough, his duties as a Quincy is what he did for most of the day. Be it training, or simply beating up random Hollows for the local Shinigami to purify.
"Christ, I need a hobby. A proper one. Maybe I should take up Plastic Crack?" He murmured to himself, nonchalantly making his way to where he could sense a battle taking place. Another clash between a Shinigami and Hollow if his senses were correct. Yet another thing that rustled his jimmies. The amount of tourists visiting his plane of existence and causing trouble was just too damn high. God knows how many humans were forcibly made spiritually aware in the last month alone from all the activity Liam felt.
It sure as hell made it hard to sleep at night with all the supernatural battles going on. Liam had lost count of the amount of times he had to get out of bed and rough up some noisy Hollow and occasional Shinigami.
Speaking of Shinigami. It seems he's finally come across the one responsible for the little scuffle he had just sensed. Stopping a few meters away from her. He called out, genuine curiosity and a hint of mocking in his voice. "I'm honestly curious. How many of you are actually assigned to this town? I mean, I know its a hotbed of spiritual activity. But there has got to be at least twenty of you running around here at once at some points."
Sachiko snapped into action, turning to the sound and bracing her zanpakuto for combat. What she got was much more interesting. A human, standing defiantly. Poking fun at her. Is it a really human? Or something else? This man… That spiritual pressure… Sachiko lowered her spear. It would be best not to antagonise him. Who- or more to the point what- is he? There is lingering talk of many humans, active in the Human world with spiritual powers. Quincies and other obscure practitioners of ancient powers. Sachiko found them endlessly fascinating.
“You can see me. How curious.” Mused the intrigued soul reaper. “I wonder what manner of oddity you are. I have listened to many a rumour of Quincies and ‘fullbringers’ running around. I find the more pressing question to be how many of you there are.”
“So, which oddity are you?”
A Quincy would not be very new or interesting, Sachiko had studied and read lengths about them. Sachiko really wanted to meet one of those other strange humans, ‘Fullbringers.’ Little study has been thus far carried out on them. What a valuable experience this could be. The things Sachiko had heard were rumours no doubt corrupted in communication
Liam blinked. This one found spiritually aware humans a curiosity? While in another city an aware human is a rare sight. This city was a special case. Karakura town probably held more spiritually aware humans than entire provenience of other countries would. So that meant one of two things. Either this woman was woefully ignorant of the city. Or was simply new at this whole thing. Liam was hoping for the latter. Inexperience he can deal with. Ignorance would just piss him off.
"That isn't really how the game works missy. I asked you first." Liam pointed out, vanishing in a blur of Hirenkyaku. Appearing right in front of Sachiko and poking her in the chest. There was no doubt about it. Liam was fast, much faster than Sachiko was. Nearly as fast as some of her captains.
The sight may have been a bit disconcerting for some. But almost as soon as it appeared, the irritated look on Liam's face melted back into a more natural smile. "But whatever. I've stopped expecting anything resembling common decency from most Shinigami I meet. So I guess I'll be the polite one here and answer your questions. Graciously expecting nothing in return." He waxed on, an undeniable layer of mocking in his voice now. He made it very clear what he thought of the Gotei.
"If you havent already been able to tell from my Reiatsu." He began, extending his arm to the side. Summoning his gun to his hand in a flash of condensed Reishi. "I'm one out of the three genocide attempts the Shinigami took part in." His grin seemed a bit more strained at this point. "A member of the "noble" Quincy clan." He seemed to almost spit the word noble out as he said it. "And now that you know that I'm one of the people your kind apparently has a kill on sight order for. What will you do little Shinigami?"
"Kill order or no, I don't think they'd give me a posthumous promotion for picking a foolish fight like that." Sachiko brought her spear to rest across her shoulders. "Also, judging by the fact that you're still alive, you're probably not a troublemaker." Sachiko returns a bright rich-girl smile, and the mocking tone.
She can feel his spite not only for her, but for her race. It is hard to blame him. This human... this kid... spent his whole life with special powers like no else. Everyone like him having perished long ago, for a reason he may not understand. Now, a child of those who suppressed his people stood before him, poking fun at him. All this made him more fascinating. Sachiko wanted so badly to pick his brain a little, see what makes a human like this tick. How does he cope? Does he have any mental illnesses? What was his childhood like? So many questions. He was very powerful as well, for a Quincy. He would be an interesting specimen. Even so, Sachiko was not about to try and bag him.
"Relax, Quincy. I was only teasing you." She said with a hint of laughter. The spear on her shoulder burst with blue light, forcing its shape to return to its dormant form. Sachiko flicked the blade before delivering it to the wooden sheath at her side.
"My name is Sachiko. I imagine the answer to your question would be a state secret. The Gotei 13 is a military organization, after all."
And just like that. Any trace of humor on Liam's face dropped on a beat. "The first Shinigami I met tried to kill me because of my race. So I'm pretty sure there IS a kill on sight order out for Quincies. Either that or the Gotei employs psychopaths. Neither one of those would endear you to me." Dropping all pretense of cheer and civility. Liam began to flex his spiritual muscles. The force of his will outweighing her own by a considerable degree. Most likely locking her into place, making breathing something of a struggle. "Now. I was nice enough to answer your question. Instead of returning the favor and tearing your fucking head from your shoulders. So now its your turn. And know that I don't really give a shit about what you consider classified."
At this point the blue veins of Blut were visible on his skin. His own barely contained anger at being so casually brushed off in such a manner enraging him to the point where he was activating it without conscious thought. In his mind, he had been nice enough to play along with her despite his questions being unanswered. But perhaps it was the simple fact that this stupid little girl thought it was a good idea to joke with someone who had zero reason to play nice was a good idea.
"I'll ask again. Answer my question. And less of the lip. I don't really have much desire to hurt you. But damn near every Shinigami I've met so far has pushed my patience. Don't be the one who makes me snap."
His spiritual pressure was immense. Sachiko can not deny that, as his mere presence crushes her being into the dirt. Literally, the pressure was so great the confident lord fell to her knees. Funny that, a soul reaper on their knees before a Quincy. Sachiko could not help but smile again. She pressed a button on the side of her communicator, a signal for backup. If they did not come soon enough, she would have to go to plan b. And plan b involved the potential of being capped by this Quincy. She hoped to avoid it.
"In seems you weren't listening. I don't know. I'm just a computer tech, you think I'm privy to deployments and troop movements? Your reiatsu will attract undue attention, as well. Think, boy." Her smile crested further across her face. "Kill me and I guarantee they'd start asking questions in parliament about whether it's prudent to let these Quincies and humans with spiritual powers run amok. My family is rather important. I urge you again to think."
She looked him in the eye now, still crouched down at his mercy. The stupid little girl was certainly trying her luck. She was not afraid. Not for a moment. She was still smiling at him, looking right at him. The fear of god was no where to be seen in her. The only thing here was a stupid little girl, and an angry child.
"Look at you. You're angry at soul reapers, I get that. Your kind has been condemned. Condemned by strange ghosts you didn't understand. You've felt weak and vulnerable to them, like you might be the next victim of the genocide. You're pissed. So you're lashing out now, at the first expression of your fear that you perceive as vulnerable. A weak little girl. As though to hurt it. This is not the answer."
"You wouldn't understand, but I know what it's like to be condemned simply for being who I am." Her father's voice speaking the words 'abomination' crossed her mind. "Perhaps not to the same severity but I know your pain. I'd probably do the same thing if I were that pissed off."
His expression didnt change as the girl before him desperately pleaded for her life. It wasn't like Liam was going to kill her. Despite his hate for everything she stood for. He wasn't going to destroy a soul out of petty spite. But at the same time. This girl was seriously starting to annoy him. He was pretty sure that he made it clear he didnt like Shinigami that much. And her little attempt at understanding just seemed to piss him off even more.
"The simple fact that the Gotei let you run around means that you DONT know what I'm going through." Liam curtly responded, easing off on his Reiatsu to allow the girl to once again stand up. "And the last one I met knew a fair bit. So you'll have to forgive me for assuming you had some useful information." There was actually a hint of something resembling a genuine apology in his voice that time. But a quick look at his scowling face told the girl that she wasnt out of the woods yet.
Flicking his wrist, a series of silver threads drfiting out from his fingers. Lazily floating to the girl's sword at her waist. While she certainly could attempt to dodge out of the way or avoid the strings or cut them. There were five separate strings. Each of them sharper and stronger than her own sword and attempting to snatch the girl's weapon from her. "Need to borrow your sword for a few minutes. Its not like it would do you much good. Scout's honor, I'll give it right back when I'm done." Despite the fact that Liam had never been a scout. And that there was a high chance that the Shinigami in front of him wouldn't know what a scout was.
If the likely event of him getting his hands on the sword was a success. Liam would simply sit right down on the ground with his legs crossed. Blade held horizontally in one hand. Eyes focused on it as he simply shut out all else. Leaving himself seemingly defenseless in front of Sachiko.
{Techs}Name: Silver Binding Class: Reishi Tech Tier: I-III Type: Offensive/Binding Range: 20 Meters Description: A technique created by Liam created as a stand-in for Silberdraht. With this technique he creates a series of silvery wire (changing from sharp to dull at will) made from pure Reishi. He can create either a wire from each of his available digits, or a long ribbon from each free limb. The technique travels at Bala/Half-Bala speed and can be used to slash, whip or bind targets.
He finally arrived back in the world of the living, how many years had it been since he was last alive, or to be more to the point when he last was on earth. The boy walked around as people just ran passed without noticing him as he felt a bit annoyed. As a member of the kido corps he was casually dressed since they did not really have much of an official uniform and they had not quite tailored anything to his size which was rather annoying in its own right. The boy made his way as he suddenly was attacked by a large beast as he looked on in awe at seeing a new hollow before watching it get cut apart by a random shinigami passing by. He wanted to say hi, but the shinigami just jumped away as if on a mission. Did no one ever want to play anymore, or to get to the point just talk at least or greet.
When he finally yawned and got a bit bored he received a distress signal as he began rushing towards the location. He did not really want to get too involved but he wished to not waste his ability to get around so instead of using shunpo he silently whispered the incantation as he found the location of the distress.
"Guardian of the sky, I seek sanctuary! Bakudo #10 Kōmori Yoriyomi "
A light shot down from the sky and he got taken up as he appeared on the battle field next to the woman who was on her knees as he took in the situation. A strange weird looking college guy stood before them. He was not really sure, but he had been in the other world so long he was a bit behind and to be more honest lost in the current customs of this day and age. Had they changed or stayed the same he would not know, as he knew he had to help he did not want to bother asking any questions so he aimed to disable the enemy if needed.
Name: Bakudo #10 Kōmori Yoriyomi (Bat Out of Hell) Class: Kido Type: Transportation Tier: II Range: Indefinite Incantation: Guardian of the sky, I seek sanctuary! Description: A white hole appears above the caster, who jumps through it. The circle shoots across the sky at amazing speed, of which even Shunpo would have a hard time of keeping up with, transporting them to another location, but can go no further than a 10 mile radius. Cannot be used in combat.
OOC: I would just like to apologize profusely for taking so long. I haven’t even been able to get to my computer lately. I’m extremely sorry. And you better give it back, butthead .
“Wait, no!”
Ryūjin flew from its sheathe into the Quincy’s hands. Horror swept her soul to see her only friend captured by a Quincy. Sachiko cursed herself for being so stupid. She cursed her captain for sending her on this damn mission. She especially cursed this Quincy. So spiteful of her, angry at her for nothing. Sachiko just wanted to do her job, then go home and relax in her slippers. Her dread turned to questions, then back again when the only explanation dawned upon her.
“What are you doing?! Don’t harm it! Just give it back!” At the edges of her speech were trembling tears. Sachiko was breaking down at the mere thought of losing Ryūjin. She looked kind of pathetic.
She regarded him with a confused expression as he simply sat and stared at the sword. Her intuition seemed correct. She sighed deeply, gaze fallen to ground. What was his deal? He could have asked nicely. It would be impossible to take it back, he was too strong. She hoped not to regret her next move.
“I see your game now. The zanpakuto utilises a process known as sublimation.” She stood up shakily, Liam’s reiatsu still taking its measure on the comparatively weak soul. “The zanpakuto uses its own reiatsu to forcibly change the state of the hollow’s soul from minus to plus by filling in the emptiness with its reiatsu and bonds it to the soul. The zanpakuto then guides the soul to pass through the regular channels in the cycle of rebirth. At least, that’s the accepted theory. No one really knows how zanpakuto work. Well, except their inventor. Good luck getting in contact with him..."
Sachiko felt reiatsu in the distance. Looking up, she saw a streak of light screech across the sky. Komori Moriyomi. Something, rather someone, was rushing their way here. Fuck’s sake, she thought, this situation was getting worse by the minute. If it was someone from Squad 12 then... shit. A child appeared with a flash beside her. A little blonde kid, perhaps an inch over four feet tall. Sachiko wasn't the tallest, but she towered over him. The child demanded explanation, Sachiko was content to not give him one.
“Get out of here, it is not safe for you.” Her tone was rather dismissive, she did not care to look at Aoi. Her only concern was her sword, and the Quincy holding it. Her humiliation was palpable. To lose her sword, and now someone witnessed it. This whole day shamed her family. This kid showing up might make the Quincy bolt with her sword. Damn, why couldn't this just be another boring day?
"Oh don't get your panties in a twist. I know how much you like your swords. I'll give it back when I'm done." Oddly enough, considering all the hostility he had been showing the girl earlier. He was genuine in saying he intended to give the sword back. And despite his deep hate of pretty much everything the girl in front of him was. He wasn't about to stoop to the level of other Shinigami and simply assault someone so much weaker than him.
His eyes didn't move from the blade as Sachiko informed him of the commonly accepted theory of how the blades worked. It was somewhat similar to his own theory. It was nice to know how close he was to being on the same wavelength as the Shinigami were. "Still doesn't explain how beings like Bounts, Humans, Fullbringers and even other Hollows can kill without worrying about the souls of others." As this happened, his finger was glowing blue with condensed Reishi. Occasionally tapping against the side of the blade. Causing ripples of blue light to flow across the spiritual metal. It wouldn't be enough to actually damage the weapon or the spirit inside. It was merely casual probing. Checking to see how it would react if he intended to filter his own Reishi through it.
So far the spirit had been resisting him at every turn. Understandable given the circumstances. But Liam wasn't going to force it in fear of permanently damaging the sword and by extension the girl's own soul. Plus he'd feel like kind of a scumbag if he had to subject someone to accidentally destroying souls like he did if he accidentally infected the blade with his own Quincy essence.
It was only the arrival of Aoi that wrenched Liam's gaze away from his inspection of the sword. He blinked at the sight in front of them. "Christ, they are starting them that young now?" He asked, head tilted to the side like a curious puppy. All traces of hostility gone, replaced only by curiosity. Rising to his feet, he absent-mindedly tossed Sachiko back her own blade. "As for what's going on. Research. One that I'm going to ask you to help with."
He stood up, now towering a good two feet over the young boy. "Your sword for a few moments please." He extended his own hand. Waiting for Aoi to do the smart thing and surrender his only weapon. "And out of curiosity. Where can I get my hands on a blank one of those things?"
The boy was dismissed so harshly by the girl he had been hoping to provide help to, what was wrong with people not wanting to accept help. As if he was one to talk being the way he was. He disliked how rude this girl was and it was then that the man put to rest the confusion and began his explanation
The tall man with the rather ordinary and bland hair, which was simply from the way he was raised and the fact that he had seen so many weird hair styles that nearly any human hair style would appear bland to this child. The guy said something about starting young and then said he was busy with research, what reason did humans have to research shinigami. Did the humans not know to keep out of important shinigami business like ordinary humans should.
The man requested his sword to which he simply replied. "Do not lay your dirty hands on my sword", as the child gave a glare mixed in with a childish pout. He had his hand held out to the man prepared to defend himself and the strange shinigami girl as well. He had not even heard her name and he was also not sure which division she was with or if she even had one. However he was not one to just let his guard down around a bunch of strangers as he tried to figure out whether this was really a threat or if these two were simply out on a date that went horribly wrong.
Sachiko nabbed Ryujin from the air, pressing the sword against her body and holding it tightly. The blade grazed her arm whilst she embraced it, leaving a small cut. She didn’t notice, or did not care. Sachiko had been so scared of losing it, it had driven her into a silent maddening panic. She looked kind of silly, hugging a sword. But to a soul reaper, she was hugging her most dearest loved one. A being of thought and emotion, who was perhaps just as scared as Sachiko was. Hugging a sword was still kind of a weird. With a fluid motion, Sachi returned her sword to its wooden abode.
Sachiko had a hunch as to what sort of ‘research’ Liam was doing. He was interested in zanpakuto, and seemed interested in how they worked. Putting two and two together made four, he wanted to learn how to purify hollows without destroying them. In doing so, perhaps save what was left of his race. His intent would also keep the balance, it was a noble goal even from a Soul Reaper’s perspective. A reaper’s ultimate duty is to maintain the balance of souls, this imperative supercedes all others. Sachiko wondered if it would be prudent to offer her assistance. Would he accept help from a soul reaper? They certainly could not discuss such a thing in front of this kid.
“Blank zanpakuto are called asauchi. They’re only given to cadets, and the stockpile is kept under tight security. You can’t get one, neither can we. Even if you killed a cadet and took one, their reiatsu would still be imprinted on it. It would not be truly blank." The kid looked like he was going to try and defend himself. The kid doesn't know the kind of strength the Quincy commanded. If this soul reaper tried to defend himself, Liam would rip him shreds. "I would not advise taking up arms, kid. This Quincy is captain-class." Which would not stop Liam from trying to grab his sword. "Leave the kid alone, Quincy. I'll let you inspect my shikai. I'll even try and get my sword to speak to you, though I can't promise that. Just let him on his way, sword at his side."
Rasen was bored, he was always bored. His life seemed a never ending circle of the same repetitious actions that seemed to lead the same bed, same pay, same recognition and at the end of the year the same position in his squad. 'Stepping' from the roof at one block to the next block his phone began to bleep horribly, an alarm that only sounds when a non-shinigami energy is emanated at or near captain class levels. 'Who in the world is stupid enough to be doing that? Hollows know that will draw us out into battle and the majority of Fullbringers know that to stay underground that they at least need to keep their heads down. Perhaps its best that I pop in and get a bit of a battle assessment before calling this one in.' That was not truly the case however, he could feel it peaking at the back of his mind, the urge to see something new and exciting that would lead him to a brand new adventure. 'Stepping' again he crosses a couple of blocks at a time, quickly closing the distance from his location towards the location of the spike. Below him he spots a snake like hollow that happens to look something like a cross between a snake and a turtle. Taking a quick step down he appears in front of the hollow, Yamakyojin raised high over head and ready to slash down.
"Hey, how ya doin'?", Rasen smiles as his blade sweeps down and slashes home over the face of the hollow, severing the ' mask in half and limping the hollow almost instantly. Not skipping a beat he 'Steps' once more, covering the distance to the edge of the source of the energy. Peaking out around the corner he takes a breath and looks out on the interactions of two of his comrades, one from the R/D squad apparently running her rounds like him but more for equipment upkeep than security. She was of the family...Heian...yes Heian. One of the higher ups in the world almost born into power but what are you going to do? Best to keep doing the right thing and step in, this man being the source of the issue. Standing nearby is the second Shinigami, a young soul that seems to be part of the Kido Division by the looks of the uniform. 'Stepping' in to just in between the two Rasen assess with quick accuracy that this man is crossing some social lines by disarming his fellow shinigami.
"Now now, there is no reason for us to be going to such extremes is there? Perhaps its time that you returned her Zanpakto to her. It could be concidered rude to just be wandering about and taking such personal items from some people, fighting worthy almost," Rasen now closer could with definitive certainty tell that this man was the source of the energy. Hitting the emergency button on his cell he sends a panic ping to Soul Society that a red light situation is now occurring and appropriate Lieutenant or Captain grade assistance would be provided. "My name is Rasen, 11th Squad, 7th seat," Taking a small bow he places his left hand on the hilt of his Zanpakto so as to keep it in his possession. Doubtless this man would notice but hopefully not read too much into it. "And you are?"
OOC: Now that there are 4 people in total. I'd ask that the thread close so it wouldn't get any more hectic.
There was a momentary flash of anger as Aoi backed away. Calling Liam's hands filthy. What an arrogant little pup. Despite the clear difference in their skill level. Despite the fact that Liam had the will to rise to this level of strength in a matter of weeks when he was barely anything before this. And this little brat still had the gall to think himself superior.
He was about to open his mouth. Or perhaps even strike the pup. But it was Sachiko's words that stopped him. Those blank swords were called Asauchi. And they were mainly given out to cadets. But the fact that a stockpile most likely exists certianly interested him. If his current level of power was roughly that of a captain. Liam was confident that after a few more weeks of training to finally reach his peak. A simple smash and grab might be a rather viable option.
After all. It wasn't like they'd have the blank blades under such security that a sufficiently dedicated and powerful person couldn't just sneak in, find out where the swords are kept and then steal one or ten blades. It would certainly be within Liam's abilities if his growth kept its current rate.
"Shikai is useless to me. But thank you for the information. Chances are you have just saved many future souls from oblivion." Isn't it so nice when people were simply forthright with information. Goodness, had Sachiko been this upfront with him at the start. None of this unpleasantness would have happened at all. So good was his mood, he was willing to simply let the pair go unscathed despite their previous rude behavior. At least that was until the third Shinigami decided to interject himself.
Liam's eyes narrowed as the newcomer spoke. One line in particular stood out to him apart from all the others. "fighting worthy almost," Despite knowing that Liam was a good deal stronger than him. The annoying Death God still felt if necessary to throw out some implied threats of violence.
And so it was. The straw that broke the camel's back had arrived. Finally running out the last of Liam's patience for the agents of the Gotei 13. Both current and former.
Raising a hand to point a finger at Sachiko. Liam spoke to her in a cold, hollow voice. "You have some degree of common sense. So leave. And take the brat with you." And with that, he vanished. Disappearing in a blur of the Quincy stepping technique. Appearing right behind Rasen. Arm swollen from the strength-enhancing attributes of Blut. Striking forward at blinding speed at the Shinigami's shoulder. Intent on either dislocating or breaking the limb.
Normally Liam wasnt one to be so aggressive. But between Sachiko's initial refusal to so much as acknowledge his questions. Aoi claiming him to be "filthy" and Rasen's implied threat of violence. Liam had simply had enough bullshit. He'd either force some respect from the Shinigami here or scare them to the point where they change their tone.
Things began to turn peaceful it seems as the man called shikai useless which his zanpakuto took as an insult, while Aoi did not feel like getting into too much trouble since he was here to save the girl not start a fight with the strange guy. Then a man appeared, but not just any man it was a man from the Eleventh Division. This was bad, this was always bad, the one division that could never accept him and the people who just went all crazy when a battle broke out. He did not enjoy this situation all too much as he felt this was a seriously bad situation as the guy mentioned this altercation as being battle worthy.
The zanpakuto may have been taken, but it was returned so while it was worthy of perhaps a report, capture or complaint it was not battle worthy since no real important secrets were revealed. Well he did not think too much of it, but he would report it to his captain later on and find out how they should deal with it. Then the thing he feared would happened, the thing he did not wish to happen was going to happen, but the boy just did not know it yet. Then the guy even called him a brat as well as he was really annoyed and insulted now as his zanpakuto secretly laughed at him.
The man before him vanished from sight, this was shunpo is what he had thought at first as he looked on as he found the new location after the altercation between the crazy super human thief and the crazy super idiot Rasen. He did not even want to waste anytime as he shouted out.
"What is wrong with you stupid adults, asking to borrow my sword as if you know me, and then you go and pick a fight with this guy after just showing up not even asking what is going on. What is wrong with you people!!"
He just went all ham at that moment as he blasted a large blue fiery explosion which while not lethal would probably hurt a lot. He aimed it at both of them since he felt he did not have the time to take better aim and a member of the eleventh division would probably enjoy the pain anyways.
Name: Hadō #33 Sōkatsui (Blue Fire, Crash Down) Class: Kido Tier: III Type: Offensive Range: Long (70m) Incantation: Ye Lord! Mask of flesh and bone, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Truth and temperance, Upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws! Description: Fires a burst of blue spiritual energy at a target in a similar manner to Shakkahō at x10 Cero Speed, but over a wider area and with more power.
Relaxing in slippers was becoming all the more appealing by the minute. Out of nowhere, was another shinigami, one from Squad 11. Sachi knew right off he certainly would not take the diplomatic approach. If she knew anything about Squad 11, it was how they liked to fight. Every opportunity they found to show off, there they were. Captain Kurotsuchi always dismissed them. "Barbarians." He would call them, mocking their brutishness with that trademark cackling laugh. There seemed little way to avoid the situation turning violent. Rasen guaranteed that. The look in the Quincy's eye when he pointed at her, telling her to leave. He was over the tipping point now. He was pissed and was about to release it on Rasen. Sachiko loathed having to return to the Soul Society and explain these events. Sachi just wanted to be at home, relaxing in her slippers.
The blue fire came next from nowhere, crashing down as the Quincy blinked away to attack. Now it was really getting violent. Everything occurring could not be going more wrong. A routine mission with a simple objective. Fix the sensor arrays. Go home. To hell with that. Were the gods fucking around? Or was Sachiko just this unlucky today? It didn't matter. The kido cast by the strange child spread into the air a blinding mix of dust and spiritual energy. Sachiko found herself able to use the diversion. Jumping away out of the line of fire, she drew her sword, quickly twirling it between her fingers.
"Crash down, Ryujin." The spear took shape, and without wasting any time Sachiko erected a 5m high wall of hardened ice. The ice formed between the combatants, deliberately missing them, only aiming to physically separate them. The ice erected slowly, if anyone was in the way they could certainly react fast enough to avoid it. Sachiko could now attempt to contain the situation from further violence. She did not wish to see anyone hurt, not even the Quincy. Least of all her comrades. This was her only shot at cooling things down.
"It is far too late in the evening for bloodshed." A bead of sweat dripped from her forehead. Generating ice of such strength was quite taxing for the little soul reaper. "Let us call it a day. I do not wish to see anyone hurt. I certainly do not wish to carry a corpse back to the Soul Society. Please, gentlemen." She addressed them calmly with that annoying noble-lady serenity. However, her words were sincere. She was genuinely attempting to keep the peace.
{Tech} Name: Glacier Class: Shikai Tier: III Type: Offensive Range: 100m Description: The user unleashes a huge quantity of ice on the target, crushing anything weak enough in its way. The shape, size and trajectory of the ice can be manipulated within reason, carrying the same limitations as 'Hydra'. The user can only make one body of ice at a time, and the ability is unusable if disarmed.
Rasen feels the sharp impact of what could have passed as a minuscule bullet train colliding with the back of his shoulder, the momentum enough to completely knock his arm free of its socket. "Gaaahh!" instinct takes over, the feeling of pain leaning his right shoulder away from the aggressor to gain some distance with a hop. Coming to such a sudden stop was almost as painful as the attack itself, the arm swinging out and the joint rubbing against the socket. Through gritted teeth Rasen wraps his left hand around Yamakyojin, enough anger welling up in him that he might actually leap into this fray. Slowly drawing the blade he gets out only a few inches and the letter 'R' before a flash of blue ice appears in front of him.
Listening to the Nobel Lady speak he lets his blood simmer down before catching his breath. Sliding his Zanpakto back into its grey sheath he lets the handle free. Gripping his injured shoulder with his left hand he pulls on it and twists while simultaneously jerking his arm in an upward motion slipping the arm back into its socket. "I am not one to walk away from a fight, no matter the opponent but," it was true, Ransen has never of his own volition walked away from a fight, not because he loves to fight but because it is his job to fight and he never walks away from his responcibilities. Looking at Lady Heian for reassurance he continues the fighting tone in his voice now all but gone," I will not directly ignore the requests of another." Rasen rolls his arm about to get a feel for how it has settled into his joint. "Perhaps you and I will meet again?"
As the wall of ice formed between him and his opponent. Liam couldn't help but snort. Not only were such measures unnecessary, as he only wanted to give the one who threatened him a good scare. To teach him not to threaten those much stronger than him.
Placing a hand on the wall of ice. Liam channeled power into it. Lightning sparked around his hand, surging into the wall itself. Causing it to shatter in its entirety. With Liam once again standing before the gathered Shinigami. The scowl still present on his face. But he seemed to not be making any more aggressive movement. "Implied or otherwise. I don't take kindly to threats. That little love tap was a warning. Nothing more." Nodding to Sachiko, Liam stepped over the ruins of the ice wall, slowly beginning to walk away from the gathered spirits. "Out of respect for the info you've given me. I'll let the idiot go with a rap on the knuckles." Already, Liam had moved past the group. Not even bothering to look back as he continued to speak to them in that same icy tone he had before he attacked Rasen.
"And you really shouldn't hope we meet again Shinigami. Next time you wont have anyone else to speak up on your behalf." With that, Liam's body began to emit a soft blue glow. Before something resembling a miniature thunderclap was heard, as the Quincy's body turned into a ray of light that shot up into the sky. Streaking off into the distance.
{Spoiler}Name: Holy Shock Class: Reishi Tier: I-III Type: Offensive Range: 20 Meters Description: By manipulating Reishi particles in the air, Liam is capable of mimicking the effects of lightning at varying strengths. From something resembling a taser shooting at Bala speeds to a more powerful bolt of lightning at twice the speed of a Cero.
Name: Lightspeed Jump Class: Reishi Tech Tier: II Type: Supplementary Range: See Description Description: Utilizing the same principles of the Soul Warp technique, but bringing it to even further heights. This technique could be considered Liam's own version of the Kido spell Bat Out of Hell. Allowing him to travel up to a distance of 10 miles with a single use nearly instantly. However this technique can not be used in the midst of combat. Only for leaving and entering a fight in a dramatic fashion.
The boy was lost in all the crazy confusion as he fell over as a large wall of ice rose up between all of them, and while he was still trying to keep up as the girl spoke. The guy made the ice wall shatter and then said some cheesy line from a movie going somewhere along the lines of. 'you really should hope we never meet again' or something along those lines before he turned to a flash of light and flashed up into the sky. He did not understand what was going on as they spoke of blank zanpakuto's and the human being strong enough to just take a shinigami's zanpakuto.
The boy then looked towards the girl and then towards the idiot from Squad 11. He then sighed as he tried to remember why he was here and then he just walked towards the girl and asked.
"Are you okay? can we call off the distress signal is he coming back to kill us all?" He said these words as if they were nothing, but truth be told nothing can mean a whole lot in the right situation. Meanwhile his zanpakuto was annoyed at not be called out for this situation.
