It was pretty quite in the Menos forest, usually the sounds of the other hollows fighting one another, eating one another would encompass the entire forest and while you could vaguely hear those sounds on the other skirts of the forest, deep in the heart of the forest it was very quiet, Miyabi liked quiet. She believed that only the more stronger hollows were waiting on the out skirts to catch stragglers trying to leave. Most hollows would go to the outskirts to catch said stronger hollows. Miyabi picked the central point of the forest because eventually barely any hollows came through. And it was the occasional one or two. She could easily pick them off, she liked being alone and in quite areas so she could think to herself. She hadn't done anything since she was a human, alive.
The fox didn't remember much from her past but she knew as a spirit she wasn't thinking and that was how she became this thing, a hollow. For a many years she remained a mindless creature only satisfying her need to feed. After evolving to this form however she gained a part of herself. Her ability to think for herself, to not only be driven by instinct but by logic as well. So after finding a wholesome meal of a hollow that ran through the area by accident of course, Miyabi curled up by the big tree and was in much deep thought. For now she couldn't hear any Hollow coming. The ones here were pretty bad at being subtle which is how she managed to stay one step ahead of them.
As she continued to relish in her thoughts she did sense something heading her way. She wasn't sure what it was but it certainly was strange. She sighed, she couldn't have a moment's peace huh? She sat up, her nine tails curled up and she awaited for whatever was coming to show up. It sort of piqued her interest since it didn't feel like it was going to be another hollow.
"I've seen it happen so many times. So why cant I nail it? Liam asked himself as he stood on one of the many empty rooftops in Karakura town. Currently waving his arms in the air like he was trying to swat some rather irritable flies buzzing around him.
He could understand the theory of the technique. He'd seen many Hollows perform something similar. And the various books he "borrowed" from That Man's personal stash of Quincy lore indicated that it was indeed possible for other beings to travel throughout the three worlds. The only problem was the execution of this theory.
As one can guess copying an technique that Hollows use on instinct through research and study is hardly a simply matter. But this was hardly going to stop Liam! Wizards were superior to Sorcerers for this very reason! And something as simple as initial difficulty was hardly going to stop a munchkin like Liam.
"Work!" He called out, bringing forth the simple image of the world of the Hollows to his mind. Grasping at the Reishi in front of him, grasping and tearing at it until it obeyed his commands. Ordering it to flow in the same way he had seen so many Hollows do it.
It took a minute. But he could slowly see his efforts begin to bear fruit. In front of him, the air indeed began to change. To the naked eye, it would be nothing more than an odd heat shimmer or rippling as if someone threw a stone into a pond. But to anyone with a sense for spiritual subjects. They would be able to see that Liam's technique was a bastardized version of a Garganta.
With a carefree grin on his face. Liam wasted no time and drove headfirst into a portal that he honestly should have tested first.
One hop, skip and a jump across the dimension barriers later. And Liam had finally arrived in a world that was most likely poisonous to his pure-blooded cousins. Normally an entrance like this wouldn't be so much of an issue. If it were not for the fact that Liam had arrived in this world several meters underground.
Needless to say, the darkness and enclosed space did cause the young Quincy to panic. Thrashing about and clawing in a direction that felt like upwards to him. Enhanced strength digging away until he finally emerged into a much more open space.
About three meters from Miyabi's tree. A bright head of orange hair suddenly popped right out of the ground. Struggling and letting loose a colourful litany of curse words. Seemingly not noticing the Hollow in his desperate efforts to get out.
It was finally time. The miraculous return of the one called Jitter.
"Wait, is that still my name," Jitter pondered as she floated about aimlessly. "I do like the name Jitter, but I wouldn't mind another pretty name. Tiru is nice, and it has a special meaning. Nah, it wouldn't be a good fit. Hmm..."
As she drifted through the menos forest, she bumped into a tree. "Ow!" She shouted. "What's the big idea?!" As she looked up, she found she wasn't alone. There was a hollow, some sort of fox type with multiple tails. It was sorta cool really. Jitter wasn't the jealous type... She wouldn't let anyone know she was the jealous type.
"I'm definitely not the jealous type, but you look awesome." Jitter spoke excitedly to the hollow. It didn't register to her that a quincy wa- "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!"
. . . .
Jitter immediately noticed a person doing their best impression of a mole. If only she had a hammer, she'd give him a good wack. Ha, no, Jitter wasn't that brave. She took flight and joined the fox high up in the treetops. "Excuse me, pardon me, but if you wouldn't mind, maybe you should attack that person. People always try to kill us, not to mention he shouldn't be here."

Miyabi heard the ground crumbling before her and saw a human emerge from the underground. She tilted her head to the side, this was most strangest thing that had ever happened to her here in Hueco Mundo. This was the first time she'd seem a human appear here before as well. Something told her that this was where the strange energy was coming from. However, what they were doing under ground was beyond her. Before she could act another hollow suddenly appeared. They mentioned something about jealously and how Miyabi looked nice. Again all of the sudden before she could react the other yelled in her ear which annoyed Miyabi to no end.
The other had a point however if this....thing here was a shinigami or one of the fabled Quincy then they were toast. So they might as well kill the human before he gets a chance to be free. Miyabi took this opportunity to leave her spot to walk in front of the human and place one of her paws on top of his head to prevent him from digging out.
"Who are you? How did you get here? What are you?"
Miyabi's nine tails flicked meticulously as she waited for an answer. If he decided to attack her then all she would have to do is set the other on fire and be done with it. She no longer had a taste for human souls anymore. She hadn't had the taste for them in years. So she didn't really want to eat him. The other one might, but she seemed to be in the same level as the fox was. Who knows, someone will want to eat this soul so eventually the problem would rectify itself. Miyabi kept her eyes on the human and made sure he didn't do anything funny. She even bared her claws on his head. Each one daring to stab him if he moved. Perhaps now would be the moment that the human realized what he has done. She wondered if he would fight or cry to spare his life. Oh well this was the only interesting thing that has happened to her all day. She might as well humor it for a little while.
It was only when he felt a furry paw weigh down on his head. Did Liam bother to register that he wasn't alone here. Craning his head up he looked right back at the two masses of fur that really didnt want him here. Blinking for a moment. He finally realized the position he was in.
There seemed to be a pair of slightly annoyed Hollows right above him. Normally this would be a cause for some concern. But there was something different. Not because of his recent training that would make dealing with a Hollow of Miyabi's level a trivial task. It was more the fact that it felt like someone just hit him with a shot of adrenaline.
His body was simply thrumming with power. Closing his eyes for the briefest of moments. Liam's head nearly reeled back in shock. The entire world was made of Reishi!
Of course this shouldn't have been something that surprised him. He had read that this was the nature of the spiritual realms. He felt the same way whilst in the Dangai. But of course he was too busy attempting to traverse the realm in order to properly study its effects.
Finally deciding to answer back to his interrogator. Liam put on his winning smile. "In the order you asked. Liam. Science and Quincy." Before getting right back to attempting to shuffle his way out of the ground. Miyabi's paw on his head didn't seem to do much to slow him down. In fact the female Hollow would find his head fairly hard to move if she tried to apply pressure of any sort.
But sadly, that inhuman strength wasn't much good to him here. He simply didn't have the leverage to get himself out of his position. After a few moments more of struggling. He craned his head back to Miyabi. "Mind firing a Cero at the ground around me to loosen it?"
Perfect! The situation was about to take care of itself without her needing to lift a finger... or paw. The fox took control, demanding answers from the human. "He's a quincy, kill him." Playing the instigator was fun. Hollows instinctively knew to fight back against quincy. At least Jitter assumed that was common knowledge. "If you didn't know, quincy are sorta hollow hunters. Not only should he not be here, but his science is likely finding faster ways to kill us."
Jitter shifted in the tree. She wanted a better position if things went south, because she'd be flying south in that event. Curiously enough, the quincy appeared genuinely stuck in the earth. How did he even end up there? Better yet, how exactly did he get into Hueco Mundo? It was as if there were buses that brought people in and out, and if it was a bus, why did it drop him in the dirt? "Uh actually, excuse me, how exactly did you get here?" Curiosity got the better of her. There was a saying about that. Fortunately, Jitter was a bat or the closest thing to it. Being a cat wouldn't be all that bad, but curiosity had nothing on her.

So this is the fabled Quincy, mass destroyed of hollows, from what Miyabi had heard from the whispers of other powerful hollow, being killed by a Quincy mean you were gone forever. Something about hollows being poison to them a lot of what was said didn't make sense but if that was true then why was he here? Surely he said something of science. Miyabi had been out of touch with the human plane for a long time, she was sure how science had advanced. However if a Quincy managed to open a gate here then science must be more advance then she imagined. She continued to leave her paw on his head getting used to resting it there. He probably was a powerful Quincy she couldn't even move his head. And not only that he didn't seem frighten of two hollows here. With that being said he must have more then enough power to wipe them both out.
Then there was the other hollow jeering at the human, she already said that this was a quincy, the hollow hunter. The best course of action would be to destroy him, but if Miyabi was right then there was no point. They would get killed the minute he got out of the ground. The only thing that was protecting them was the fact that he was wedged really deep in there, and that was his own fault.
Miyabi shook her head at the other hollow.
"I am unsure if you lack the power or are just unobservant but this human has the power to obliterate us instantly."
The fox hollow put her paw down and walked away from Liam before turning and sitting down, her tails sweepings her side as rested once again.
"With that being said I don't want to release you from there and you go off killing as many hollow as you can before a Vasto Lorde comes in and crushes your soft skull. So perhaps we can meet on an agreement?"
Miyabi looked at the human to gauge his reaction before continuing.
"If I do let you out as requested, you have to promise not to attack us or destroy us. I can't speak for the other hollow but I have no reason to attack you unless you attack me. I am already aware of how powerful you are. So if you agree I'll let you go and no one has to get destroyed, understand?"
While Jitter probably couldn't see it from the position she was in. Liam's eyes briefly rolled at her demand that Liam be killed. He had very little patience for those who kept the cycle of vengeance repeating itself with their own ignorance. It was that kind of thinking that prevented any real progress from being made.
Of course it would be a complete lie to say that the Quincy are blameless. In fact, Liam would be the first person to admit that his own clan was filled with absolutely horrible people. Hatred, bigotry and discrimination were some of the major issues when it came to the Quincy clan. And while as an individual, Liam would be willing to give nearly anyone a chance. He still carried the blood of a Quincy. As far as most Shinigami and Hollow were concerned. He was just as guilty as his ancestors and had to pay the price for it.
However, it seemed that the larger Hollow was at the very least able to rise above simply attacking Liam because of the blood flowing through his veins. That alone was enough for Miyabi to score some points with the young lad. A small smile spread across Liam's face. Don't attack or kill anything and she'll help him out of the hole? It would certainly be a tempting offer had Liam actually been helpless. But it was nice to see that there were indeed Hollows out there that were better than the simple beasts that his cousins and Shinigami believed them to be.
"That sounds fair. Provided you don't mind me asking you guys a few questions. For scientific study of course." Liam agreed, vanishing from the hole he was in with a flash of blue light. Only to reappear a moment later right beside Miyabi. Hand outstretched. Waiting for the canine to shake in order to seal the agreement. "Shake on it?" He offered, tone slightly teasing as he revealed that he'd been playing the pair as helpless this whole time.
{Techs} Name: Soul Warp Class: Reishi Tech Tier: I-III Type: Teleportation Range: 50-100 Meters Description: Transmuting his entire body into light, Liam becomes capable of warping his position instantaneously to anywhere within 50 meters at a moment's notice. Any further distance requires a brief moment of concentration and has a tendency to go off course if he is distracted at the last second.
"Lack of power? Unobservant? What are you talking about?"
Jitter was annoyed by the fox's statement. They had only just met, and she'd been nothing but helpful. She may have been helping herself more, though she did give a very valid suggestion. It was rude to insult her intelligence and her strength. "I think you are the one who doesn't understand the situation we are in. There is no way of knowing how strong someone is by just looking at them. I mean yeah, sensing the energy someone puts out is easy, but not when they aren't doing anything. It's not like there is a profile for everyone sitting around for you to read, with all of their abilities and how strong they are listed. For all you know, I'm an incredibly powerful hollow that enjoys appearing as a cute bat thing." She took a deep breath then continued ranting. "Furthermore, when you are in an advantageous position against someone who is clearly an enemy, you should abuse it. The enemy wouldn't bat an eye at taking advantage of us. C'mon, this is first grade stuff!"
Her eyes went wide as the quincy burst into a blue light, freeing himself from the ground. Her jaw dropped as he reappeared next to the fox with his hand out. "Okay, so maybe we got off on the wrong foot. My name's Jitter, we are all friends here right. I'm sorry about you ending up in the hole. I'll be happy to answer any of your questions."
It seemed that the bat looking hollow did not appreciate what Miyabi said and went off a tangent on how you couldn't tell if someone was strong when they weren't doing anything and blah blah blah. She was getting on the fox's last nerve. She sighed as the other went on and on and on. Suddenly the human disappeared from his spot and then appeared along side Miyabi. The other hollow was in shock. Miyabi shook her head.
"Obviously you failed to see that if he actually managed to open a gate here himself that he has some power. If we had attacked he would've killed us you fool."
Miyabi looked up at the human, all he wanted was some questions? Was this apart of his science thing that he mentioned before? Now Jitter was singing a totally different tune now that she realized the danger they could be in. The fox once again shook her head. She looked over the human, looking at his face. She wast trying to see if he was lying. But as far as she could tell he wasn't. He seemed earnest about this science thing. Eventually the fox nodded and put her paw into his hand and shook.
"Alright, I will answer any questions you have for me. So long as you keep your end of the bargain, this is rather fair yes? I also have questions for you if it's not too much of trouble to ask."
Miyabi was curious about Quincy's considering she didn't know much about them. And to be better prepared in case a not so nice one appeared back in Hueco Mundo. Liam may think he has stumbled on to the only opportunity but it is in fact Miyabi that have struck gold. She didn't think he needed to know that for now.
Liam's eyebrow raised in amusement to Jitter's sudden change in tone. From calling for his blood to insisting they had simply gotten off on the wrong foot. It took no small bit of his composure to stop himself from laughing out loud at the little Hollow's antics. He could hardly blame her. A creature as small as that would need to cosy up to the biggest person they could find in order to survive. While slightly annoying, it was understandable.
A small smile spread across Liam's face as Miyabi listened to reason. Letting out a small chuckle. "Nah I wouldn't kill you. I'd just sit there and watch as you realize you cant hurt me. At least not at your current level of power. " A tad arrogant. But that was sadly the way the world worked. When one reached a certain level of power. Those of a lesser strength couldn't really do much to you. A sad truth. But it wasn't one Liam could change. It was because of that, he worked himself to the bone to get as strong as he could. Partly for survival and partly so people would shut up and listen to him.
"And questions are fine. I had planned on compensating you for your time. But I guess questions for questions is adequate for everyone." Glancing around, Liam set himself down on a nearby rock, gesturing for the others to join him. "How about ladies first? Since I'm the guest here that so rudely interrupted your day. Its only fair you get the first chance to ask questions."
And there they were again, both of them. They went on as if they had a grasp of the unseen powers of the others involved. It was madness, pure madness to assume the strength of another. Why did people do it? Was that simply how people were? It was sad to think people could know of such an expansive world after death, but be so nearsighted when it came to others. Perhaps they felt themselves center of the universe, and stronger than anyone they could come across by chance.
-----
Their arrogance would be their undoing. Jitter let loose a powerful roar, her cute little body bursting with a terrible strength. Her reiatsu flooded the area, trumping that of all those in her immediate surrounding. It was time they learned the folly of their ways, and she would be the teacher. After letting loose another roar, she vanished from where she rested, appearing directly in front of the quincy. He would be first. Her little paw packed a massive punch. She hit him with enough force to break bones, and cause massive internal damage.
-----
Jitter turned to the fox. "Oh, I'll just be quiet. Actually, I think I have somewhere to be. If you don't mind, I'll take my leave."

Miyabi wasn't sure what was up with the small bat hollow, she found the other staring off into space, a glazed looked in her eye. The Fox wondered what was the other thinking about that it caught her whole attention. It seemed the bat finally snapped to reality and then bid everyone adieu. Miyabi tilted her head, looking pretty confused and what not.
"Such a strange creature even by hollow standards. Speaking of strange creatures."
The fox turned to Liam who took a seat by a nearby rock. He boasted about his skills, saying he would not hurt them but allow them to continue to attack him as their attacks would do no harm....yet. Miyabi reasoned that his boasting annoyed the bat hollow to the point that she had to leave. Which makes sense it does annoy her too but she was aware of their power differences. She clearly was not stronger then him in any way, shape, or form.
Now then it was time for this strange Q & A. Miyabi decided to lay down for this one. There wasn't much to worry about for the time being.
"Alright then since you volunteered to start, what can you tell me about the Quincy's that not any hollow would know of?"
A simple question, she was certain most hollows knew that Quincy's were human and that they posed a danger to hollows as much as they posed a threat to them. But there had to be more. She really wanted to know in case another one was able to come in as he did.
"Going right for the confidential are we?" Liam asked, a wry smile on his face as he watched Jitter fly away. Certainly an amusing specimen. Here's hoping it doesn't end up getting eaten by a Hollow of some sort. A sad fate for many of the weaker beings in this realm.
"Well I suppose I can understand that, all things given. My only real issue is that I dont know what counts as common knowledge around these parts. So you'll have to forgive me if I tell you something you already know." He mused, now leaning back on the rock. Placing his hands on its surface. Causing it to glow slightly and change shape. The stone flowing like wet clay, up behind his back as something for him to rest against. It was a rough approximation of a chair. Still one made of stone. But at least it gave him something to lean his back against. "Hmm. Almost there." He muttered under his breath, leaning back against the stone in an effort to make himself somewhat more comfortable.
"The main difference between a human and a Quincy is a rather simple one. Each and every Quincy is capable of manipulating Reishi to some extent. Chances are you already know this much. But as I just demonstrated. In worlds such as this we are leagues stronger than we would be back in the human world. Since practically everything here is made of Reishi a savvy Quincy has massive stores of power to draw upon. So if you see any of my kind in this world. I'd advise you to exercise caution. Many of them decide to shoot first and ask questions later. Being much stronger than they would be back in the human world."
Still smiling, Liam gave the Hollow a moment to digest the new information. Hopefully giving her a useful tidbit of information that would satisfy her for now. Then launched into his own question. "Hollows start out somewhat feral correct? My question is a tad more personal. But i do hope you don't mind answering it. If you could hazard a guess. How long did it take for you to gain some measure of reason back. When you began to have other desires aside form simply eating all you could?"
