Shiori stepped out from her room, dressed in the usual garb of a shinigami, the only exception being that her sword wasn't fixed to her side. Instead she held it in her hand at all times, something that a lot of people didn't do anymore and she could see why they wouldn't. Why bother using a hand if you didn't need to. Another difference to her attire when compared to other shinigami would be the patch over her left eye. Her black hair she wore short, similar to her captain.
She stood in place for a moment allowing her senses to flare for a second. She didn't like not knowing who or what was around her, especially when she was just waking up. Sensing nothing out of the ordinary she stepped forward with her left and made her way towards the division mess hall for breakfast.
Shiori ate quickly, though she did have a hearty meal. Most people would wonder where she put it all when they looked at her figure. The fact was, she just burned a lot of energy, so she ate a lot to make up for it. Once she had her fill she left the room and walked out to a tree in the courtyard. It was a quiet morning, a few birds singing here and there and a light breeze blew over the area. The sky had a few clouds, but they were all white and they sky itself was as blue as sapphire with the sun shining like a giant orb of gold. As far as Shiori knew, it was peaceful days like this that shinigami fought, she wasn't quite sure why she was fighting though, not yet.
Though she supposed that was something she had to figure out for herself. She laid herself beneath the tree and rested her head on her hands which she placed behind her head. For now she would just enjoy this while she learnt more about herself. The black haired shinigami closed her eye and allowed herself to drift off a bit, though she did remain somewhat aware of her surroundings.

Blod finished signing off the document she had been scanning- approval for emergency provision of extra network connections to be added to a certain area of the human world for a special mission. She had been requested by a lower seated squad 12 member as a last ditch in order to meet their deadline and avoid suffering the wrath of their supervisor, as the bureaucracy of applying for an extension through the Mobile Network Engineering office would have taken far too long. Once signed off, Blod placed her brush back in its slot on her desk, wrapped the parchment, sealed her inkpot and tied the parchment up. She then rose to her feet, tied her hair up into a bun and placed two ornate jade hairsticks into it, which complimented her dark violet Kidoshu Soshi robes perfectly.
Tucking the parchment into a pocket, she left an out of office notice upon her desk and strode outwards into the grand courtyard of the Kido Corps headquarters. She'd been locked away for weeks now performing inspections of all of the members of the Kidoshu and it was draining. Her brother and sister were worried for her health, but she assured them that it was merely a busy period. This was partly true, Blodeuwen felt something strange was afoot and had been having nightmares recently, and her troubled sleep had started to wear her down. She considered asking the 12th for some medication or something, perhaps now when she delivered this parchment.
Perhaps it would be seen as ungainly for the head of the Kido Corps to be running her own errands but Blodeuwen really needed the fresh air and sunlight, and the thought of the surprised faces amused her greatly.
She reached the Gotei 13's area of the Seireitei after a little while and proceeded to navigate her way towards where she thought the 12th division's offices were but the buildings more closely resembled barracks than offices... Great- she'd gotten lost. Blod wasn't one to let that sort of thing get her down and sunnily proceeded down the path, poking her head through the gate into various courtyards so as to see if she could find anyone else.
Eventually there was a shinigami sat sleeping against a tree, in the second division barracks. She had an eyepatch and her zanpakuto was next to her. Blod was envious but didn't allow it to affect how she woke the shinigami before her, which she did by calling softly to her and allowing her reiatsu to ever so lightly extend outward. Before it had been totally suppressed and hidden, with only other masters being able to detect her presence but she didn't want to be an unpleasant surprise.

She felt the reiatsu before she heard the voice. She opened her eye slowly to see a blonde standing above her. The wardrobe of the woman wasn't that of the traditional shinigami, but Shiori recognized it either way. It was the uniform of the Kido Corps. It was odd that one of them should enter the second division, much less venture deep enough to make it to the resting area.
"Howdy, can I help you?" As she spoke, Shiori eased herself up from the ground not a single sound being made as was the usual trait of those in her squad.
She picked up her sword in her left hand and used her right to stifle a yawn. "Pardon me, I'm a bit of a slow waker." As Shiori stood there her eye studied the woman before, as well as the rest of her senses. She could tell that this lady was stronger than her, though she wasn't quite sure just how much more stronger.
"We don't usually get you kidou folks over in these parts too often." A light wind picked blowing Shiori's short black hair to the right. "Shiori Sasaki is the name, pleasure to meet you."

Those lithe, graceful movements... The feline serenity with which this shinigami moved through space belied the hyperbolic control she had over her body. And this was a lower echelon peon, Blodeuwen could tell from her reiatsu- the thought of the higher-ups in the 2nd division was startling. However, she realized that over the past three-and-something centuries she had honed herself and while her sweeping robes and slow movements did not betray it, Blodeuwen knew herself to be the equal of all but perhaps the captain- and of course her predecessor.
"Howdy indeed." She said, smiling toothily. "Could you perhaps direct me to Research and Development?" she continued sweetly, not particularly minding if she was given directions or lead the way there but shinigami surely had other important duties to be attending to than directing lost people around. Duties like sleeping under trees.
"You are excused." she said, smiling once again. It was refreshing, for once, not to have people babbling incoherently due to her status. Often the purple robe carried far worse problems of the heart than questions of earthly flesh and blood. "It is not often our duties carry us here." she admitted. "I've heard tell that the head of the Kido Corps is known to wander the parks of the Seireitei with her young nephew when it's sunny out, however." Blod said, mysteriously. Gujo often implored her to tell him stories of her time as a soul reaper.

Research and development? She was looking for the 12th Squad Headquarters wasn't she? She was a long ways away from there. Shiori raised her right hand and scratched her head as she looked at the blonde with a slight look of confusion. She seemed like a really important person, but she'd somehow gotten lost just trying to find the 12th division. Not that the Seireitai wasn't a large place.
"Yeah I'm pretty sure it's in the direction." She said as she pointed west. "I can show ya the way if ya like."
Shiori didn't wait for a reply as she began a strut out of the court yard heading towards the large exterior of this military fortress where they resided, her movements still ever so quiet and fluid. Everything was white and bright, always clean. Shiori wasn't sure how the fourth division kept this entire place up to snuff, but they sure did a damned good job that's for sure.
Shiori took a right after walking straight for a bit, looking over her shoulder to see if the blonde was following her.
"My name is Shiori by the way, Shiori Sasaki." She would say upon confirmation that the woman was walking with her. "If you don't mind me asking, what exactly do you do at the Kido Corps?"
Shiori had always been curious, but never had the time to go over and explore and find out for herself. Guess it was just lucky for her that this nice lady that worked there just happened on by. Now she could ask her fill of questions as Shiori walked her across the Seireitai.
Name: Ninjutsu Class: Hand to Hand Style Type: Supplementary Range: Self. Tier: N/A Description: Ninjutsu, in a literal translation, is the art (or ability) of ninja. Ninjutsu is an incredibly uncommon martial arts, learning it would be hard unless you knew somebody who had the art passed down from a previous dynasty. But you never know.
Ninjutsu in it's main form is to assassinate people, simple as that. It's attacks are focused around hit-and-run, remaining silent, and killing in one shot. No exceptions have been since made, and those who could not do this as a Ninja often times got executed for being terrible at what they did.
While the details are foggy, the most prominent of Ninjutsu styles or stances is a simple, non-formed style which focuses on keeping the weight on the left leg to allow for pivoting attacks. Outside of that, Ninjutsu is only detailed on how much they included within scrolls from ancient times.
Name: Chinmoku [Silence] Class: Hand to Hand Technique Type: Supplementary. Range: Self. Tier: II Description: Those who take up the mantle of a Ninja are taught to be completely silent, to make no noise, to leave nothing behind. Chinmoku is the spiritual equivalent, for while a ninja could be quiet, absolute silence is only achieved through ones spiritual energy masking all sounds from the user outside of abilities. Chinmoku, while being a passive, is instantly broken upon using an ability that causes sound (i.e: flame, shikai, etc) or visual antics, and requires two turns for the spiritual energy to reform and create the silence again.

Blod remained impassively smiling at Shiori's confusion. This was an area of the Seireitei that she did not often frequent and as such, she felt no shame in the fact that she was lost, despite how the way might actually seem completely obvious to a shinigami who had walked these streets for centuries.
She surged forward with a swiftness that took Blodeuwen off-guard, though she had no issue keeping up, and matched pace after but a few moments- though she was neither as silent nor quite as graceful as Shiori. When they turned the corner and the soldier turned to see if she was following- which she was- she closed the gap to walk beside her, the long violet robe flapping as she did so.
"It is a pleasure to meet you, Sasaki-san." Those strange customs of this culture such as names so long ingrained that they were now little more than second nature. She nodded politely as they walked.
"Oh me?" Her face grew slightly pink, and she was a little embarrassed. What she said next she said with the most officious voice she possessed so that she would seem brusque and no-funny-business as opposed to gloating; "Well first, I am Blodeuwen Hirashi- that's blod, like a combination of blood and odd, eu, so like a capital A, and wen with a soft e yes." It was now an easy task for her to coach pronounciation of her name by rote as often she received oogling glances from people when she said it. "And I am the soshi of the Kidoshu, the Grand Kido Chief of the Seireitei. Though it isn't often I'm seen around here- hance being lost without a clue where I am supposed to be heading." She laughed jovially, her pointed elfin face lighting up with mirth as she did.
"So Shiori," she began, keen to avoid the protracted humbleness that occasionally followed this revelation of her rank. "you are in the second division yes? Are you enjoying your time as a soldier with the 13 court guard squads? Dilligently serving Captain Feng?" If there was one thing that got shinigami talking, it was mention of their squad, particularly their superiors.
