Name: Kaunta Burēku [Counter Break] Class: Hand to Hand Tier: IV Type: Offensive/Defensive Range: <5 Meters Description: This technique is the ability to channel kinetic energy from your opponent and turn it back on them. This effects weapons as well as unarmed attacks and if possible could even affect projectiles such as bullets or spiritual energy. When determining what is possible, the user must have greater advantages over a technique to successfully deflect back to the offender. This technique is difficult to use and requires much focus to accomplish without injuring oneself. Do to this there is a post cooldown to ensure the user can correctly gather their energy. If a technique is successfully deflected, the attack returns to the user and deals damage equal to an attack made of the difference in which this technique was greater by. A melee attack would be deflected instantaneously while as a projectile or technique would return at it's nominal speed. Not everything can be deflected back to the offender fully, in which case the user can use this defensively to simply force the attack to harmlessly move away from themself or steal kinetic energy from the attack nullifying it if at equal advantages. Name: Haaku Kōgeki [Grasp Attack] Class: Hand to Hand Tier: III Type: Defensive/Binding Range: Self Description: The user is able to block an attack by grasping a hold of the offending weapon or limb. If successfully blocked, the user now has a hold of the weapon or body part and the offender must force themselves free. Unless the user uses a supplement technique, whether offensive or otherwise, to accomodate this attack in which case the offender is free when the secondary attack takes effect. This technique can also be used when being grappled by offenders to counter grapple and attempt to bind the opponent. If done successfully the user will now have a grasp of a body part that makes sense or if there is none, is simply free. If unsuccessful the user binds themselves using their opponents Masteries as if they used this technique. Name: ShiShi Uchikudakimasu [Limb Shatter] Class: Hand to Hand Tier: III/IV Type: Offensive/Stun Range: <5 Meters Description: This attack allows the user to exert their force and strength into the enemies extremities, attempting to sever tendons, fracture or break bones, or even rupture internal organs. Although not as lethal as implied, it can be extremely painful for the opponent. When being used as an attack, it is instantaneous and must be used within 5 Meters of an opponent. The exact intention must be declared as the attack is being used and damage to the target area will be determined by the opponents ability to block. If used when grasping a weapon or limb, the user may instantaneously use this technique as a response to having a hold of an opponent or weapon and attempt to break or shatter what they have a grasp on. When used as an attack rather than a response to having a grasp on an opponent or weapon the attack occurs at Cero speed, regardless of Tier usage. The exact intention must still be declared, but the speed and precision of this technique can not be countered unless the opponent has a higher Mastery level keeping in mind they may not understand what the user's intent is until it is too late. The user may also exert more force into their attack to make the technique more lethal, but doing so causes the user to damage themselves as they break physical limitations. When this technique is used at Tier IV, the user not only attacks the opponent or weapon, but also attacks themselves as if using a Tier II due to bypassing physical limitations./blockquote]
