APPEARANCE
Long red hair, often thickly tangled and knotted with pieces of leaves, flowers and twigs, give her a fierce appearance despite her soft features and pale skin.
This fierce apppearance is not helped by her piercing green eyes, that seem to show a disinterested wisdom despite her youthful looks.
PERSONALITY
Medeina is almost always quiet, preferring to communicate through gestures and quiet sounds, rather than words. That is not to say she is incapable of speaking, or even great eloquence when required, she simply prefers to speak as little as possible.
Her attitude usually seems quiet and shy. she is in fact neither, she however tends to only approach those she respects herself, instead allowing others to come to her.
Most of the time she has a dispassionate dissinterest in the majority of humanity and spirits, unless an effort is made to befriend her. Sucess will see you an incredibly loyal friend for life, albeit one that will not tolerate betrayal.
Her true passion is nature, a love for plants and animals defines her for all who know her, and even those who don't. When off-duty she can often be found caring for the various plants, flowers and even weeds found around soul society. she will grow extremely sad if she finds any of the plants she cares for have been removed.
Those who begin to know her better, soon find out she is extremely playful, with a love of children, something that is both a strength and a weakness. she finds her greatest resolve in protecting children, but sill often allow herself to be injured in the same manner.
Her playfulness also often finds her in trouble as she tends to enjoy not only playing pranks, but will also toy with opponents rather than ending a fight quickly.
HISTORY
Born almost six thousand years ago, Medeina was a quiet child, so quiet that her family thought she was rather simple and unintelligent, this was not the case. Medeina was in fact extremely intelligent, preferring to watch and observe than take part.
Medeina's life was simple, her family, where a part of a small settlement to the west, but in the shadow of, Mt Fuji. it is here, in the farms, made fertile by Fuji's volcanic soil, that Mediena's love of nature first blossomed.
Even as a small child she would wonder at the way a seed could blossom into a tiny green shoot that would grow and grow until it was taller than her own, admittedly small at the time, height.
As Medeina grew into a young woman she became indispensable for her settlement, able to guide the plants she loved so much into ever larger harvests as her understanding of the plants grew.
On the whole, Medeina's life was simple and fulfilling. She was free to spend time with her plants as much as she wished and others would mostly leave her to herself to care for her plants.
At eighteen, Medeina had her first child, a daughter, who shared her mother's red hair. Caring for her daughter pulled Medeina from her semi isolation to become a greater part of her community.
Two years later, Medeina's second child was born. A boy with light brown hair, her son, who, unlike Mediena and his older sister was bubbly and outgoing.
Medeina's family, however, was not meant to last. Her son had an unusually high spiritual pressure for a human, which attracted a hollow shortly before he turned five.

Medeina knelt beside a small sapling shoot, gently stroking the tip with a fingertip. From all appearances this year would be a good year, more seeds had taken root than ever before, and assuming they survived the summer, they would grace her with a great deal to eat, maybe even more than the whole settlement could use.
With a happy grin she stood and turned, reaching down to lift her son from where he was playing in the dirt. His light brown hair almost glowing in the sun was only shadowed by his sister’s, standing next to him as she carefully tried to plant a small stick she had found.
Ruffling her daughter's hair she led her children towards their home.
That is when the settlement exploded. unseen by Medeina, the hollow responsible began to stalk towards her.
Medeina panicked as the village exploded, and began to back away slowly. A slow retreat which turned into a hurried rush, making sure her daughter could keep up, as she felt something approaching. Entirely unsure as to what, she simply knew it was bad and knew she should flee into the trees.
As she hurried through the trees with her children, she could hear something enter the forest behind her, and moments later the trees around her exploded sending her flying. breaking her neck on landing.

SEALED FORM A small Tanto, barely six inches long, with a mostly straight blade, with a curve taking up the last inch to the tip. The blade, despite being black steel, appears to be made from extremely dark wood when the light catches it. The hilt of Seikaijuu appears to be wrapped in vine leaves, the stems of wich twist together at the base of the blade to form a small tsuba in a spiral pattern. At the back fo the handle, the leaves curve loosely, creating an opening between them, which holds a single acorn. The blade sheathes into what appears to be a single piece of rough, thick bark, dark grey in colour, with a small strap on the back to allow it to be attatched to a belt. Description: While active, Mediena's shikai covers her in vines, these act as armour against attacks. Additionaly this armour provides the medium through wich other abilities work. and severing the vines prevents abilities from being used through the damaged parts of the armour until the vine is reconnected.

Range: touch to 30m
Description: upon coming into contact with any plant, Medeina's armour can take the properties and growths of the plant being touched. this works with one plant at a time, and loosing contact with the plant will result in the loss of the added properties and growths. Properties take a few moments to be added, but disappear instantly. This ability can be used to make poisonous pollens by touching a plant with such, or projectiles by touching a plant with explosive seed dispersal.

Description: Enroot extends a number of roots from a point of Medeina's armour into the ground. The roots begin to suck up nutrients, using them to restore Medeina's health and Reiryoku so long as she remains stationary. the rate of restoration varies slightly based upon the fertility of the soil enrooted. Althogh this variation is measured in seconds in all but the most arid of soil (which can extend the time taken by hours)

Range: touch - 200 meters
Description: In order to activate this ability, Medeina must push Reiryoku into a plant through physical contact. Once that is done, She can sense the plant and any movements it makes (such as being pushed out of the way by a passing traveller) so long as it retains her Reiryoku. It takes time for the reiryoku to spread throughout the tree affected (until the next post). Once fully spread throughout the plant, the reiryoku can be used to manipulate the plant in a number of ways. The most basic being, moving the plant like a puppet, although the plant can also be grown or have it's natural processes sped up. (for example accelerate the process in which a reed sucks water up to create a hose, or the dispersal of seeds can be triggered) BANKAI
