Tatsuya was not above his duties as a shinigami, he merely prioritized some over others. Those duties over others would be his duties and responsibilities as a guardian of Akane. She however was a member of the first squad and as sch Tatsuya was as well. While he did not regard the squad with disdain he did dislike how they kept sending her and by extension him on patrols in the human world.
He walked along behind her, his senses reaching out and touching everything he could. He was aware of everything around them, this was after all an ability of his sword. He was aware as a swordsman should be, but he did not expect trouble. There were rarely any hollow these days for some reason, and even then if there were they were too weak to put up much of a fight. He couldn't help but smile watching the girl in front of him.
"Akane-sama, did you want to stop and rest for a bit in that park over there?"
He pointed to a park to their left, of course non of the mortals in this daylight could sense or see them, but even from underneath his straw hat he would be able to sense them if they could. He loved his job and by the gods, he was good at it. His left hand rested as always on his zanpaktou which was on his left hip. He gave the girl a smile awaiting her decision.
Phantasmal Speed: Picking this perk will grant the Shinigami a x2 boost to natural speed and agility at Beginner Zanpakutou Spirit Mastery, increasing to that of x3 once Average, not affecting stepping speed. Since if you had larger muscles it would critically hamper their mobility, passive increasing of strength becomes impossible, and activated strength buffs cannot exceed x1.5.
You may also temporarily heighten your concentration to the utmost achieve impeccable feats of evasion. At Average, you can dodge nigh point blank Cero speed. This can occur once every two posts. Naturally one has to be aware the attack is coming however, lest no amount of focus will help. Can't be used to attack.
Name: I am Aware Class: Zanpaktou Spirit Tier: 2 Type: Passive Range: 30m Description: This ability allows the user to be aware of every movement, sound, smell and change in/movement of reiatsu in a 30 meter radius sphere around himself. This ability aids in his being able to react and track targets as a swordsman no matter what stands in his way.
Name: I am Accurate Class: Zanpaktou Spirit Tier: 1-4 Type: Offensive/Passive Range: Self Description: This ability allows the user to ensure their blade hit's its mark through any barrier or obstacle. The ability allows Tatsuya to phase the blade of his zanpaktou through defenses, barriers and anything else of even or lesser advantage and tier when striking. This "phasing" only works on non organic matter, so once the blade hits flesh, it phases back to strike in whatever manner the user is striking with the zanpaktou (slash, thrust etc etc).
Another patrol, that's what they were doing in the human world. It was routine, something every shinigami had to do at some point. The tenth division were usually the first to go, but every squad did their part. Aside from the fourth division that was. The fourth division were the medics, and were mostly restricted from doing any heavy lifting. Akane often thought of joining them, even if she couldn't heal. Her father would never allow that.
So she made the best of her situation. Being on patrol meant she was in the human world with permission. Sneaking to the human world had a degree of difficulty, though it was really easy to just disappear for a little while. She only had to give her guards the slip.
"Huh, what, I wasn't thinking about running off." Her eyes followed Tatsuya's finger. "Oh, uh, yeah lets go tot he park."
She gave him a sweet smile. Smooth she wasn't, but it didn't matter. Tatsuya usually knew when she was thinking of doing something he wouldn't agree with. It was like his six sense, a result of their time spent together.
"Patrol can be so boring," she said as she headed for the park.
` There she was within the middle of the park, listening to forever joining sounds of nature. The birds chirping, moving within the trees, the wind blowing gifting an able breeze, and the waves of water sunning as gentle as a stream. Yami partook in what was known to her as meditation; the breathing in and out of existence through her lungs. Her spiritual energy churned within her and formed on the outside of her within layers of black, cobalt, indigo, lavender, and finally, lilac. With her eyes closed, she focused on seeing the different forms of reiatsu around her within the park, focusing in on none, although seeing all as they were luminant by the different sources and spectrum of light.
` She recently awakened to her spiritual powers, thus she felt that progression was imminent and the new found tome that beckoned with advancement, let her feel uneasy about she should honestly do at such point within her life. Upon graduation from highschool, her parents and tutor passed away, and she had many questions about what she was experiencing. She could see spirits, her mind was open. She could hear different waves of sounds, the spiritual nature connected her ears to underlying figments of the world, gifting her clairvoyance. And she was able to feel the field of consciousness around her, embracing the ambiance and amplitude of other spiritual beings. She shifted her focus on just seeing the signs of the spirits within the park and more on sensing them through feeling.
` As she did, she could see, within her mind a disturbance within the her spiritual energy. There was a source that opened and closed just as swiftly as it appeared, however there was no spiritual energy that she could detect from afar. Strange in her mind and soul, although it peaked her particular interest. She rose her hand with grace that she had sitting upon her lap in an open palm and snapped her fingers, the sound echoing the through the park. A small black void appeared in front of Yami blasting a sliver of reiatsu, chest level, shining forth a silver lined light, enveloping the darkness of the void to bring forth a solid white tome that is covered in glinting crystal chains aided with a crystal lock. It floated from the void into her palms as she held it close. "What am I to do with this book? And what is it suppose to be? So far, I have learned how to summon it, although how am I suppose to open it?" Her notions were pure and she required a multitude of answers.
The Noble guard took immediate notice of the girl in the park as they entered, even under his straw hat he could sense and see her, he tensed up as she seemed to summon some book. How odd this was, did this human not see them? No her eyes were closed, was she preparing for some sort of attack? Her power level wasn't that much less than their own, but was she a threat? Tatsuya wasn't sure, but it was better to be safe than sorry.
"Akane-sama perhaps we should move on after all..."
He said to akane to try and get her attention as he nodded towards the human as if to point out that she was sort of right there and seemed to be doing something.. odd. He had hoped this would work to distract Akane, bit already knew how curious the girl was, it was not a matter of if the Noble girl would approach the human, but when.....
It's not that Tatsuya had something against humans he was more or less just trying to protect his charge, like an over protective dog of it's master anything new was considered a threat until shown otherwise.

Akane had already made her way to the human before receiving any warning from Tatsuya. She didn't think twice of wandering up to humans because they could never see her. There were talks about how frequently a human could interact with the spiritual world, though she had yet to find any.
"I wonder what you are doing."
She circled the person and their book, finding it quite odd to say the least. The person probably couldn't hear her either. It was simply reflex for her to talk to people, especially when she was able to get away with saying whatever she wanted.
The human had a noticeable pressure about them. It wasn't too great, but it wasn't very large either. Akane had a bad habit of playing down the strengths of others if she perceived them to be weaker than herself. Be it hiding their true power, or if she could actually sense it. If what she felt was lower than what she knew she could output herself, then they were too weak for any caution. Besides, she always had a guard with her in case something went wrong.
"This person is weird," she spoke to Tatsuya while leaning close to the human's face.
` As Yami incessantly meditated within the park, two other "blips" appeared upon her "radar", not far from where a source was seemed to be shown. She figured that whatever or whomever that appeared from such source, must have come into the vicinity and she was able to take notice of their own spiritual presence. She continued to breathe in slow, admiring the darkness and watching as a mass of lights shown within. Her light being bright and white, where as the other sources, that entered the park from the unknown source was in a luminescence of red. Around them were plenty of light bluish hues of small glintering flames, that she already comprehended to be regular spirit entities and souls. She rested her hands upon her notebook, opening her eyes, turning around to where she felt the reiatsu signatures were coming from, hoping to see whom or what the presence was emanating from.
` As she turned around, she was greeted by a small little girl, cloaked in what seemed to be a black kimono, carrying a sword. The little girl was fairly young and seemed playful, not fleeting to get very close to Yami's face. Yami could see the pink haired girl clear as the daylight shined, although with the way that the little girl was reacting, it seemed as if she could not know whether or not Yami was able to see her. Yami gifted a brief smile, instead of ignoring the little one's outlandish behavior and crude remarks about her "wierdness" She insisted on getting to know the individual, as well as the other person that she appeared with.
` He was tall, sturdy, cloaked, and also wielding a sword. Such appearance reminded Yami, of her first encounter with such individuals. It was the night that her parents died and the appearance of another individual similar to them appeared. She remember the persona jumping from spirit to spirit faster than her eyes could see, stamping them on the forehead with thier sword and passing them along into a portal of light. The image of the exact persona was fleeting, however she remember the details of their ability and resourcefulness quite well. She lifted her left hanf from her lap and brushed the sides of her hair towards the back of her ear, revealing the darker portions of her face, mumbling as she spoke. "I was simply breathing before you two came along, and seeing the garb that you are dressed within, it doesn't seem that you are here for a casual visit. What has brought you two to this area, other than the source of the spirits around us?"
Before he could even react she was in the humans face, his hand raising in surprise to tell her to stop but alas it was too late. With a defeated sigh he walked over, left hand still resting on the sheath of his zanpaktou while his right hand he scratches the back of his head under the straw hat awkwardly.
"Akane-sama really we shouldn't bother the human.."
But it was too late with a smile at akane and some words to them both inquiring as to why they were there he shrugged.
"Not necessarily, we were actually coming over here to rest if you would not mind our presence."
There was no real reason to give up anymore information than that really, though he didn't have a doubt that Akane would spill everything in a three second fast burst of words. His charge had a fascination with humans it seemed, from her dresses and style to well... anything else dealing with them. It was something that he would never understand.

The moment the human acknowledged being able to not only see, but hear her, Akane stumbled back a few steps. Her eyes wide, she was overwhelmed with many emotions. It was a little scary to be seen by a human. It didn't appear too threatening, though looks could be deceiving. It could see her after all. Above her fear, curiosity drove her excitement to an all time high.
"Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! It can see us!" She ran behind Tatsuya, peeking out just in case the thing did attack. "We are Shinigami tasked by the Gotei Thirteen to patrol the area for dangerous spirits."
What she said couldn't have been more specific. Tatsuya always hid information, keeping his cards hidden until they needed to be played. He'd taught her tactics and strategies involving withholding information, but he couldn't have expected her to remember that giving the situation. The only thing she hadn't told him were their names...
"My name is Akane of the Tsukino family. And this is Tatsuya." Correction, the only thing she hadn't to him were their squad. "I belong to the first division in the Gotei, the strongest of all the division. Tatsuya here is my guard." There was nothing she hadn't said. "I have so many questions for you. First... are you dangerous? If you are, you don't stand a chance against us."
` The male spoke briefly about the reasoning of them being within the area, although the natural intuition of Yami uncovered that he wasn't speaking about all the details and instead went to be seclusive. The little girl, whom she figured to be his companion, seemed a little more estactic about the question that Yami asked, flustering through her emotions and being really excited, although afraid as she ran behind her taller companion for safety.
"It seems that the cloaked figures are more than just what they seem. Ordinary humans may not be able to see them, although I can. They must be spirits" Yami concluded as she braced her self from the ground and stood with fortitude, listening within as the little girl spoke. She gifted details that Yami was interested within. Knowing her name and recollecting on such information Yami answered: "I am not dangerous and just as confused as you are. As of late, I have been able to see the spirits and was wondering was focusing on my ability to comprehend myself, this new found ability, and what I can now sense around me." She brushed herself off from the grass and rubble on the ground from her her dress and looked towards the little girl, hiding behind Tatsuya. "I am weaponless and with such, I hold no fear. I am Hinata of the Kurayami estate. As I am sure that you have more questions, so do I. Let us utilize this time to get to know each other." Yami said with a bright smile. "What are the Shinigami and whom are the Gotei Thirteen?" she pardoned with an inquisitive look.
Yet again Akane ignored his careful attitude in reference to the human. Spilling litterally everything about anything that had to do with them, squad, purpose, race, she might as well have told their favorite colors and Tatsuya's favorite sake brand. He kept quite however, it was not his place to scold her in front of lowly humans. He would merely let it pass for now.
"I'll leave the answering of these inquiries up to Akane-sama human. Though do remember to be respectful please."
He gave a warning look before turning to akane and doing a little lean.
"We have time akane-sama, just please keep in mind what we are here for.."
His own subtle way of.. take your time.. but not too much time.

"Well," Akane took a deep breath. Tatsuya would recognize this as the start of one of her wordy answers. Whenever her father would ask for explanations to the things she did, she would start rambling excuses right after taking her deep breath.
"The Gotei thirteen is an army. A mighty and powerful army full of the strongest spirits to ever be. I guess you could say the things we fight are pretty strong too, but we always win, so we are better. Anyway, there are thirteen full squads in our army. Hmm... I guess you could say we have the secret squads too, but those are secret and I'm not going to tell you about them. They don't get added into the number of our squads. Those powerful spirits," she pointed to herself and Tatsuya. "We are the shinigami!" As if to make herself seem more important than she was, Akane struck what she called an awesome pose. "There are literally hundreds of us, and many, many more with potential to join us. We are legion. We do not forget. We do not forgive. If you are an evil soul, we will come for you."
Finally out of steam, she gave the others a chance to speak.
