Ain't every day an arrancar asks you out for dinner. With a slow sigh, Raiden flicked the burned up cigarette to the ground, using his ankle to stomp out the small ember. It was Fryst, back in that small coffeeshop where they first saw eachother after their last fight, she had actually gone out of her way and offered him dinner. While he didn't trust the woman that shredded his arm to pieces at all, she still stuck her neck out to make the request. So, that left him with little choice. He found peace in the reasoning that it was a night where he could keep an eye on her, the closer she was, the more he could keep her in check.
It wasn't too cold out. The sun was setting and it was not the coldest of temperatures. Thus Raiden was out with a simple, short sleeved white polo wich toned out his muscled arms and broad shoulders. He was pretty large. The classic navy blue jeans and regular, black sneakers made the casual outfit complete. It was quite the fancy neighbourhood Fryst lived in. An adress via text, aswell as the warning to not be late. With a slow whistle, Raiden stopped infront of a rather tall building, slowly whistling. Seems like the pseudo human had done well for herself.
He walked in with a slow sigh, another resident walking out and holding the door for him, he nodded with a short smile. "Arigatou gozaimasu." He said, before walking in. Seemed like he wouldn't need to buzz Fryst from the bottom floor.
The substitute shinigami stepped into the elevator. All the way to the top floor. Fryst had mentioned a penthouse, so, that's the top of a building, right?
With a trademark ding, that more annoyed the fuck out of him tha anything else, the elevator opened again as he stepped out, into a hallway with two doors. One stating that access was prohibited, so it was the other door. The only one on this floor wich had a doorbell aswell.
He pressed his thumb against the small button, buzzing whomever was inside, before he stepped back, pocketing his hands.
Fryst was in her human flesh technique wearing a cute little skirt and a white sleeveless top. The Black skirt stopping mid thigh with some just above the knee stockings on. An apron draped over her front as she worked over the stove of the almost finished food when the door bell rang. She could feel him, it was Raiden, with a giddy giggle she disappeared from the stove in a buzz of static appearing at the door she opened it smiling, motioning him in.
"Hai Raiden-kun!Come on in, foods almost ready.."
With a swift twirl that almost made her skirt come up too much in the back to show the bottom of her... well bottom, she would use sonido to appear back in the kitchen near instantly. She had fixed a favorite of hers, mid western american style chili. She had made it a little spicey but she liked the western spices better than the traditional japanese ones. There was music playing in the background, again american, Frank Sinatra's "You make me feel so young" She had recently been introduced to him and loved his music. She spoke as her hips moved from side to side as she worked over the stove. The kitchen was large adjoined to it next to a spectacular view of the city was the dining room. Across the hall from that was a large living/sitting room with a brand new sixty five inch tv and plush couches and chairs.
"What do you like to drink Raiden-kun? I might have it!"
She gave a little giggle.. because her alchohol storage was full.. and it was it's own closet.

The door opened, revealing Fryst in her casual wear. It looked as if she just slapped an apron ontop to indicate that she was cooking. Well, at least it was obvious. He nodded slowly as she greeted him enthusiastically, caausing him to smirk faintly. Her being an arrancar that could kill him nigh instantly or not. This was just plain cute. "You look good." He concluded as he stepped into the penthouse, looking around, his hands pocketed. "Ya seem to have done quite well fo' yerself." Was what the substitute shinigami stated as the warm scent of dinner made its way onto his nostrils. "Frank Sinatra?" He asked as he only now noticed the music. "'Aven't met a lot o' people who listen to 'is music." He said, rubbing the back of his head.
He honestly only recognized the voice. Jhon liked him and tried to force Raiden into listening to the man's music. While he didn't understand most of the lyrics as his English wasn't all that good. And it just wasn't his 'jam'. Then again, he didn't really listen to any kind of music. Not that he disliked music, he just didn't put the effort in of actually listening to it.

She nodded and smiled at him, she had indeed. There wasn't that many popular big band swing music artists anymore, especially for dancing which is what she was training for, and good ole Frank had the best of the best of beats and melodies to learn to. After she got a little more advanced she could work on finding more, but he was timeless or so she thought after listening to most of his stuff.
"Yep, I got most of his music from my dance studio, they had all of it on tap. It's great isn't it?"
She gave raiden a blushing giggle as she began plating the food. Taking the ladle and scooping the thick spicey chili into the bowel, then grabbing some crackers and topping it off with some shredded cheese she set it at the small dining room table she had grabbing one of her favorite wines, it was potent stuff, but then again wasn't everything that was good? A nineteen sixty four merlot from France. She un corked it and poured some in her wine glass that was already sitting by her seat and offered him some before going back and grabbing her own bowel of chili.
"I wasn't sure if you would actually come raiden-kun. But I'm really glad you did..."

"Not my cup o' tea." Raiden grinned awkwardly. "Then 'gain.. I dun' really listen to any kind of music." He arched an eyebrow, though, the hand that had found its way to his head dropping by his side again as he went to sit down at the table. "Your dance studio?" He asked. Unsure on what she meant. Regardless her answer, he nodded with a soft smile as he was offered some wine, his eyes skimming over the label. Something in french. "Arigatou." He smiled again as he recieved the bowl of chili. "Well, despite bein' natural enemies.." He chuckled slowly. "If I din't wanna come over, I would've said so, wouldn't have gotten you through goin' all the trouble of makin' dinner for two, puttin' on music." A slow smirk spread across his face. "I won't say a thing 'bout yer dresscode." He finished with a chuckle, before looking down at dinner that was presented to him.
"It smells good." He said as he looked up again at Fryst, their eyes meeting for a brief second. He took the provided utensils and tasted a bit of the chili. He swallowed the contents in his mouth, trusting that it wasn't poisoned or anything. She wasn't the type. And, well, he was granted immunity to most poisons due to his spiritual prowess. Aswell as his powers. "Tastes good aswell." He stated after a brief silence.

She was surprised by his comment, one that was at the very least un expected. She knew he was being nice, but to state he would like to see it, she didn't know whether to be flattered or wonder about his intentions were more than friendly, which of course thinking about made her cough a little with blushing cheeks. She sipped the wine and listened, swirling it around in her glass as she did. She almost frowned at his words as at first they seemed as if they were completely negative, but then he followed it up with something completely opposite of what she had thought he would say.
"Well like everything I guess it has some good and some bad sides to it, ya know? You sure have mellowed out since that first time we met though.."
She sort of winced for a second looking at his arm.
"Guess we didn't start on the best terms eh?"
She gave a little heartfelt look of regret at him sighing.

"Professional dancer, eh?" Raiden chuckled slowly. "I'd love to see that some time." Well shit. That slipped out faster than he could actually think. Smooth Raiden. Real fucking smooth. Well, at least he kept the same friendly face. He knew it was a bad thing to having said that given these circumstances. Well. Not like he could take that slip up back, so he took it as he went, hoping Fryst would see it as nothing more as friendly mannerism. It sure sounded like it. He nodded slowly as Fryst explained how the natural or mortal enemy thing was wrong on his part, that they were both forged by doctrines and put up against eachother that way.
Then again. When didn't that happen in a world filled with war, greed and battles for one's religion? You were shaped by your background, whether you liked it or not. "Doesn't really matter, it's still good, y'know." Raiden smirked a bit, it was pretty obvious Fryst tried her best to make sure the two of them had a good time. So, the least he could do was meet her halfway and treat her for what she wanted to be. A human. Living a normal life. "I don't think it's similair." Raiden smirked as he took a sip from the wine. "This.. Subsitute thing.. It completely fucks over yer life, social contacts, anythin' you held dear. I dun' get breaks. I get assigned to the dirtiest o' jobs on the worst o' days. Try explainin' yer friend why you suddenly run durin' one of the most important promotion party o' his life." Raiden sighed slowly. "Then again.. I wouldn't trade it fer a thin' in the world."
She nearly choked on her chili with his words about wanting to see her dancing, a blush coming over her cheeks for a moment as she giggled a little bit.
"Really? We have a showing soon, i-if you-"
She was speaking softly, almost inaudible so as he continued on she stopped herself, from speaking up. His words at first about being a substitute seemed completely negative which led her to think why he did it, but then he followed it up and smiled. He was a man of duty for sure, that was attrractive for sure. A man who put his job before his own wants and desires, means he would do it for friends and others as well.. someone that would be so selfless was always to her liking as she was like that.
"I can understand your struggle and love for it, no power comes without the resulting responsibility. I'm sure that power the Shinigami gave you is no exception. You know you surprise me more and more the more I learn about you, I feel really bad about the way we first met.. heh, maybe you wouldn't dislike me so much then eh?"
She was trying to sound playful as she said it, she genuinely felt bad for .. you know ripping off his arm and feeding it to a hollow.. ya.. that could have gone better.

"If you'd be fine with it, I would love to." He said with the same, unfeigned friendliness. He seemed a completely different person from when they first met. Perhaps it had to do with him being in his human form. Perhaps she was correct and time did make him more mellow. He sat back with a slow drink from the wine. It was pretty good wine, he wouldn't lie. He put his wine down with a sigh and shrugged slowly. "It was a fight. 'N you were stronger. Taught stupid me a lesson.." He smirked as he held up the arm. "And there's perks to an arm made completely out of ice, y'know."
He sighed with a bitter smirk, taking his fork again. "Honestly, don't worry yerself 'bout it. It hurt like fuck.. Sure. But ya fixed it, that doesn't make y'entirely bad in my book. 'N I dun' really hold it against ya." He chuckled slowly as he proceeded eating. "Dun' take this the wrong way.. But most of the people of your race.. Rather want to see the world burn. 'N that's really unlike you." He arched an eyebrow. "Why?" He asked, rather bluntly, not hoping to offend Fryst. It was just the very nature of the question. And all arrancar but Fryst he had met now, all had some grand plan to destroy a realm or kill anyone in their path. Fryst was different. To say the least.
