Description: While in shikai, Kirin is imbued in a layer of reiatsu which contains condensed electric properties. The small and concentrated streams of electricity which continuously runs downward through the body of the blade gives every single one of its attack a numbing ability. While Abel inflicts physical damage with Kirin when it is still imbued with condensed electric aura, any physical part that has been cut or pierced will be rendered unusable. When the blade enters the opponent's body, the stream of electricity will disable any nervous system concerning the affected area making it drop to sleep. The severity of the effects depends on the area that it has been afflicted to. Any medium cut to a limb will most likely disable it, while a cut to the chest will make the opponent nauseate and a cut on the neck level or above will make the opponent's entire body feel uncomfortable and numb since it directly affects the brain. This effect lasts for 2 posts unless countered by a higher tier technique that removes it and it will also be useless on any enemy that are 2 or more ranks higher then Abel.

Description: While in shikai the user is able to shape the element of electricity at  high efficiency and control its movements via mental command. In this case, the user is capable of creating imitations of himself with condensed lightning. The clones are controlled mentally, though the only thing they can do are physical attacks, which will shock and potentially paralyze opponents. If a clone is injured, it will revert to its natural lightning-state and explode to create a small 5 meter electrical stream electrocuting whatever it is touching to inflict blunt and burning damage. A clone will automatically explode upon exiting his limited range or after 6 posts. This technique can be countered by an equal or higher tier technique and it will also be useless on  enemies that are 2 or more ranks higher then Abel.

Range: Self
Description: While in shikai the user is able to stimulate his molecules via electricity This allows the user to  heal by renewing his damaged cells, though it can also be used to cure fatigue , negate poison and cure brain damages. In addition, the user's body begins to shake at an incredible speed, escaping from the grip of any bindings while his cells are being stimulated. This technique is akin to high speed regeneration, although it cannot be used to such a degree as it is only intended for low to mild injuries.
