Pointed heels and hard soles shifted the sands as Hueco Mundo’s returned royalty made her way through the vast deserts of Hueco Mundo. The gargantuan Hollow’s words were on her mind, but only because she would always take criticism into consideration. As with all others before him that had told her that her ambitions were impossible, that she would never make this world what she wanted it, she dismissed the Hollow’s words almost as quickly as they’d come to mind. But for some reason, this time they kept coming back. Why? Perhaps it was because she could now see what had become of Hueco Mundo in her absence; a return to the violent, cannibalistic madhouse that it was before her rule as well. Perhaps if she hadn’t joined up with Sousuke Aizen, had retained her independence, then perhaps things would be different.
But perhaps not.
What were to happen should she disappear by some means again? Certainly she would not live forever, as much as she’d like to think she would be able to conquer any challenge sent her way. If she was to truly save this world, she would have to find some way to have her ideals continue even after she was gone, to find someone with as much passion for this goal as she had, and not only because she commands it to, but because they genuinely believe in her vision for the future. Unfortunately, she had yet to find any who could fit this role. So what would she do in the end? If she were to fall, with nobody to carry on her goals? To bring about her new order should she fail to?
She pushed the thoughts away once more. It would do no good to think of this now, especially not out in the open. Who knows what dangers the sands of Hueco Mundo might hold? Only hours ago she had met the largest Adjuchas she had ever seen, let alone believed possible to exist. Certainly there was much that she had not seen yet with her own eyes, both good and bad. But today she hoped she would not see more of the latter. She gathered her composure, pushed out the negative thoughts completely, and continued walking. She had no particularly destination in mind; she just kept her wits about her and wandered the sands for minutes turned to hours, not quite content with returning to the castle until she had overcome the recurrences of these thoughts.
While the current Queen of Hueco Mundo enjoyed her solace. She would not be alone for very long. From somewhere above, her spiritual senses would be able to pick up something that she would recognize. The familiar feeling of a Garganta opening a fair distance above her head.
If she bothered to look up and extend her senses she would catch a glimpse of a rather curious sight. Two shapes, one brightly coloured and small accompanied by a darker, much larger shape emerging from the tear in reality. If she attempted to reach out and sense the pair, she would be able to tell that the larger shape was one of the weaker, unclassified variety of Hollows. But the smaller and more colourful shape would probably draw her interest more.
She might actually recognize the smaller shape's Reitsu. There would be little doubt that it was the power of a Quincy she would feel. While the Quincy's power was laughable compared to her own, it could be considered to be on par with an average Adjuchas. And fortunately(?) for her, she would not have to take a single step if she wished to investigate the pair. Because they were coming to her!
It seems that neither of the pair had prepared for their entrance to Hueco Mundo to be situated so high in the air. With both the Quincy losing control due to his body attempting to acclimate itself to a world made entirely of Reishi and the Hollow unable to properly react due to the Quincy's Reitsu flaring around and distracting it. Both of them lost their footing and plummeted downward into the desert sand accompanied by a girlish shriek and a startled roar. The sheer force of their impact kicking up a large amount of sand, barely a few meters from the Arrancar Monarch.
As the sand cloud slowly cleared, Cybele would be met with an almost comical sight. A pair of legs clad in baggy jeans sticking up out of the sand, twitching every few seconds. And a short distance from the planted Quincy was a large hole. Unfortunately for the Hollow that had brought Liam to this realm, its greater mass had caused it to sink further into the sand on impact. Sending the unlucky beast right into the Menos Forest below.
Almost as quickly as it had begun, the silence and peace of mind that Cybele had finally achieved after a rather busy and stressful week had been shattered like glass. As two small Reiatsu sources appeared overhead, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Just two Hollows returning from a trip to the world of the living, most likely. How long had it been since she’d gone there herself? Decades? Centuries? That place was of no concern to her, when there was still so much work to be done here. It wasn’t until the two figures, that seemed to be falling uncontrollably, had nearly closed the distance to the sands near her that she began to pick up their scents… and one of them made her instantaneously seethe with anger. They landed, hard, stirring up a large cloud of sand. She felt one Reiatsu, the one whose scent was enough to make her want to flatten the area with her Reiatsu at once, stopped at the top layer of sand; the other, a larger Hollow, fell right through into the Menos Forest, the sands instantaneously sinking inward to close the gap as the cloud of sand cleared.
When it cleared, she saw the legs of the young man sticking out of the sand in what centuries earlier she might’ve found a hilarious predicament, as the sands threatened to pull him into the Menos Forest after his pursuer. Perhaps, in only a few moments, he might come to wish that that was what had happened, as suddenly the Arrancar Queen’s Reiatsu rolled out over the area, a suffocating, thick aura that would completely still any movement he might attempt to make; it was purely out of self-control that she did not make it enough to crush the life out of his frail body immediately. She approached the exposed legs in long, quick strides, reaching out and grabbing one with firm hands, tightly. She wondered if it was tight enough to pain him; she hoped it was. Pulling, she easily drew him from the sands, high enough that his head would clear, and held him for a moment so that he could take it to witness the eyes of the one that would kill him.
After only a moment, she tossed him, hard. Though the sands Hueco Mundo acted as a cushion of sorts, the force of the throw would still make it a harsh landing. Almost as soon as he would come to strike the sands and stop moving, her Sonido would bring her closer to him once more.
“After all this time, one of your kind dares enter these lands?” Cybele spoke in an arrogant tone, her posture pure nobility and authority. “You appear before Cybele Prisca, rightful Queen of all of Hueco Mundo. Tell me what your intentions are here, Quincy, and why I should not kill you this very moment?”
If Liam believed in a god, he would be cursing its' name right now. What had supposed to be a simple escort in return for a Hollow never coming back to Karakura had turned into an encounter with a power that Liam would not hesitate to call terrifying.
How could a creature of this strength exist? The sheer weight of the Monarch's reiatsu was enough to paralyze the young Quincy. This creature next to him was on a completely different level to anything else he had ever met. He was thankful for the application of Blut that saved him from a much nastier fall. It was probably the only thing keeping his leg from being ground up into fine powder.
Letting out a sharp hiss of pain, Liam was unceremoniously pulled out of the sand. Getting a chance to meet the eyes of the ungodly power that had been holding him still.
Well, he met the eyes eventually. Despite the danger he was in, Liam's first sight was actually Cybele's long legs that peeked out from the bottom of her flowing dress. Let it be known that in the face of danger, Liam always had his priorities straight.
"Well hello th-ARRRRGH!" Liam attempted to purr out. Only to be once again manhandled as he was thrown with great force across the vast desert of Hueco Mundo. Skipping over the sand like a stone across water, Liam felt he needed to go over his pickup lines. While they didn't always work, the reaction was not usually this extreme.
Either that or this woman didn't care much for younger men. Liam certainly hoped this was not the case.
Finally coming to a stop, the Quincy Acolyte groaned. Pulling his body into a sitting position as Cybele appeared above him. Liam took a moment to scrape the sand out of his mouth before addressing the rightful Queen of Hueco Mundo.
.....Wait a second, Queen?
Of course that was his luck. When he goes swimming in the ocean he ends up meeting the biggest nastiest shark in the water.
But at least he wasn't bleeding any blood for her to sniff out. There was a chance, however small. That Liam could get out of this situation without this woman eating him in the unfun way.
"Pleasure to meet you your Majesty." Liam spoke out, climbing to his feet unsteadily. Taking a moment to wait for the world to stop spinning, Liam would give the Arrancar Queen a short bow. "I'm here fulfilling my end of a deal. Escort for leaving my town alone." Here's hoping that the Queen in front of him was the benevolent sort who actually cared for her subjects. If not, Liam would be far up a creek without a paddle right now.
But there was always a slight chance of mercy if it was clear that Liam was not like the rest of the Quincies Cybele may have met. As a whole he had nothing against the Hollow race. Merely those that would attack humans in his sight.
"If you have decided to kill me can I make a dying request?" He asked. "Can I make sure the Hollow I brought here makes it back to his friends? I'd hate to die without finishing my deals."
Cybele listened, though reluctantly, as the Quincy attempted to explain himself. Though he seemed to show some level of civility and respect for her that she would not have expected for her kind from a Quincy of all things, she was wary of him, and his story made no sense to her. Fulfilling his end of a bargain? Escorting a Hollow to Hueco Mundo? What sort of Hollow needed an escort to return to its own homeland, let alone from their natural enemy? She doubted his story very much, and wondered if he had made it up as a means of avoiding her ire. It seemed awfully convenient now that the larger Hollow had fallen into the depths of the Forest of the Menos; hopefully it had not recovered its senses too quickly and moved on.
“You say you escorted this Hollow that fell here with you from the world of the living,” she attempted to speak calmly, though the irritation was obvious in her tone, “though I find that unlikely. A Hollow requiring the aid of a Quincy to return here is ridiculous, though I will give your claim a chance to be proven. Come.” Without waiting for a response, for him to agree or not to follow, her Reiatsu enveloped the area once more, pushing the sand out below them in a wide circle, grasping the Quincy tight, though not enough to particularly harm him. She would have plenty of time for torture and a slow, pleasingly painful death later. Instead, her Reiatsu opened a hole clear through the sand into the cavernous drop into the Forest of Menos below. She let the Quincy drop, her Reiatsu only slowing his fall enough that it wouldn’t kill him or injure him too seriously, as she gently glided down the forest floor below.
Luckily, the Reiatsu of the Hollow that had fallen with the Quincy had not even moved at all. It seemed to be slightly injured from the fall, but nothing grave. Cybele approached the Hollow, the thickness of her Reiatsu stilling the air and threatening to snuff both the Quincy and the seemingly traitorous Hollow’s lives out at the mere whim of the Queen, should she be displeased by the outcome of the situation.
"This Quincy claims that he has come to this world, the home world of our kind, escorting you to return you to your pack.” She held Sporos nonchalantly to her side, her hand gripping the Zanpakuto tightly. “Does he speak the truth?”
"I am many things your Majesty. But a liar is not one of them." Liam replied, still keeping his tone cool and respectful. And what he said was mostly true. While he may omit facts and bend the truth from time to time. Outright lying was rather rare for him.
He didn't protest as Cybele took hold of his arm and caused the sand to collapse beneath them. The queen seemed content to give Liam an inkling of a chance. So it would probably be best that the young Quincy not spurn the monarch's generosity.
As he was released from Cybele's grasp, Liam let out a short whoop of exhilaration as he allowed himself to freefall. It was nice of Cybele to use her reiatsu to attempt to slow Liam's fall. But it didn't really matter in the end to the Quincy. He had already angled himself downward and shot ahead of the monarch. Intent on enjoying what may end up being the last fun experience he had.
Activating his Blut right before impact, Liam landed mostly unharmed. Allowing his defensive technique to dissipate, he glanced upwards to see the Arrancar Queen gracefully float down after him. Liam found himself grateful for the fact that Cybele seemed to favor a flowing dress. It gave him such a splendid view from down below.
"Yo Choker." He called out to the prone Hollow before Cybele made her arrival.""You alright mate?" He asked, sauntering over to the large ape-like Hollow as it struggled to pull itself upright. Only to find itself slammed right back down into the dirt as his Queen's Reiatsu. At this range Cybele could probably get a better feel for her subject's own level of strength.
It was pathetically weak. Weak enough that Liam should have been able to slaughter it without issue. Barely a threat for even the weakest of Shinigami. Yet Liam seemed to decide to not only spare it, but cut it a rather generous deal.
Sweating slightly under the weight of Cybele's power, Liam let out a slightly nervous laugh as he struggled to stand upright. Maybe he had bitten off a bit more than he could chew here. But Choker seemed to be faring much worse, barely able to move and forced to lie on the ground. The Hollow could only nod frantically, confirming Liam's story.
It seemed the Hollow in question was struggling greatly against her Reiatsu. A Menos, then, not even evolved to the point of hoping for enlightenment. It was by pure luck that it was even surviving the onslaught of her Reiatsu. However, she had a soft spot for the weak of her kind, and entirely let her Reiatsu fade around herself and the Hollow. She kept the Quincy hard-pressed yet, however, under a focused field of it. The Quincy would not be free to leave, or move as he pleased, unless it pleased her, and it did not please her, and it likely wouldn’t any time in the near future. She stepped calmly towards the injured Hollow, her Zanpakuto contorting in on itself and seeming the crawl into her skin and up her arm, leaving the palm through which it burrowed without even the tiniest mark. She sat on her knees in front of the Hollow, soft silver hands reaching out and caressing its cheek. She felt the life slowly ebbing away from it; perhaps she should not have approached with such hostility, having sensed earlier that it had been rather weak.
But, there was still the matter at hand. The Hollow nodded that the Quincy’s story was true, which disturbed her.
“So, you were in the world of the living, and encounter a Quincy of all things, and you do nothing to try to kill him? To avenge your fallen kin of the past ages? Instead, you seem to have befriended this vile murderer, and gained his assistance in returning you to our home, with a QUINCY in the lead?” As she spoke, her voice began calmly, but slowly rose in the level of irritation becoming evident. “In what way do you perhaps believe this makes you anything other than a traitor to this realm, MY realm, then?” She lifted the Hollow’s head to face her, rather abruptly. “For what reason shouldn’t I end your life right here and now, as well as this filth you’ve carelessly opened the door to our home for? Did you even consider the tragedy that could come of this!?”
She stood again, stepping back, lifting her right hand, palm facing towards the Hollow, as she lifted her Reiatsu slightly on the Quincy to focus on the execution at hand. A black orb slowly grew in front of her hand, a Cero waiting to happen, though she forced herself to be patient enough to hear out the Hollow’s response before deciding whether the Cero would be the Hollow’s death or merely a display of power to put the fear of death in the Quincy. “Speak, now, should you have words to say.”
Liam's eyebrow raised as he watched Cybele interact her subject. For a moment the queen's expression could be described as almost tender with how she knelt down to comfort the fallen Hollow. That was certainly unexpected, it seems that the monarch did indeed have a heart in here somewhere.
His opinion of her changed rather quickly as the Queen's tone shifted from somewhat maternal to irritated. With his own feelings of slowly building respect turning to horror. What had he done? All he wanted was to come up with a solution that benefited both himself and Choker. Now it looked like all he had done was get them both killed.
While it was indeed a great strain for him to move whilst under the weight of Cybele's Reiatsu. In the end it might as well not even be there in the first place. Such a callous and brutal execution of her own subjects was an act that Liam simply would not tolerate. "He did nothing wrong!" Liam spoke up, seemingly shaking off the oppressive weight as his anger built up inside him. "Hell, he tried to eat me but I kicked his ass." He continued, with Choker still prone on the ground nodding along to confirm his story. "I'd rather not consign souls to oblivion so I cut him a deal. Escort for leaving my town alone. I have nothing against your race as a whole." Maybe, just maybe. Liam's words would be able to sway the Queen to at least spare the only one here was not at fault.
"Please your Majesty." He pleaded. If Cybele bothered to look at Liam, she would see the young Quincy on his knees, face pressed into the dirt. Surrendering his pride for the sake of someone he barely knew. For someone he should consider a monster and feel justified into destroying. "I feel nothing but shame for what my ancestors did. But please don't take out your anger on Choker. I meant no harm by bringing him back here. I only wished to protect him until he met up with his friends."
As the Hollow appeared to resign to its fate, speechless, Cybele couldn’t help but feel disappointment. The coward could not even admit to its crimes. She was about ready to fire her Cero, to end the traitor’s life, when she felt the Quincy move. She averted her eyes to look at him, though found that her Reiatsu had still been too much, and that he’d managed little more than to crawl forward onto his knees. She begged him to be spared, claim he’d tried to kill the Quincy and failed. Which, given the Hollow’s low power and condition, was… plausible, she hated to admit. She clicked her tongue, a sharp “tch” noise, and looked back at the Hollow, shrinking against the ground in fear. She moved her hand to the side, away from the Hollow and Quincy; the energy had already been built up, so she chose a relatively safe direction where she didn’t feel anything more than a few of the Lost wandering the forest, and released the energy. Black Reiryoku lined with red sung out, obliterating trees almost as far as the eye could see, as the tops of the trees crumbled and fell down with the fresh lack of support; behind them, columns of sand poured downward, creating a large gash in the desert above that would likely take centuries to heal.
She sighed, kneeling in front of the injured Hollow again. She withdrew her Zanpakuto from within her body once more, gently holding it across her lap as she stared at the Hollow, without speaking. She renewed the strength of her Reiatsu on the Quincy, making it so he would find it difficult to even exert the effort to speak, let alone move. She wished for silence right now.
“Anatrefo, Sporos.”
Her Zanpakuto contorted, the grip growing shorter and the blade longer, as a thick black tail slowly emerged from under the back of her dress, splitting off into ten or more small Hollow-like heads that each went their own way, attempting to nip at the Hollow and Quincy before she reined them back. She held up her Zanpakuto, caressing the Hollow’s neck once more, looking over its body as it failed to regenerate itself.
“Easy, my child,” she spoke softly as the Hollow squirmed, expecting death. She lowered the blade of her Zanpakuto, tip-first, poking the Hollow’s injured leg and letting the blade sink in, deep. The Hollow howled with pain, but then there was a sickening snap that came from the leg, and she withdrew the blade. The wound closed almost as if the blade had never pierced it in the first place. The Hollow stood as if it hadn’t been injured in the first place, and backed away slowly. “That should last long enough for you to find your kin. Go now.” The Hollow left quickly, moving to a nearby tree that was still intact and beginning to climb its way back to the sands above.
“And as for you,” Cybele said, turning her cold gaze back to the Quincy, “as it seems you have shown mercy to my kind, I have spared him as you have.” She stood, and stepped closer to the Quincy, almost completely closing the distance between them. “But I have no care for your silvered words, nor do I believe them in full. You will live, for now. You will return with me to my castle, and answer for the crimes of your ancestors and your people, and then you will die.” The tail heads leaped forward, nipping at the air in front of him as if they could taste him already, but Cybele held them back. There would be plenty of time for him to suffer later.

HOVER TO SHOW TECHNIQUES USED
Name: Kathréptis [Mirror] Class: Resurrección Tier: II Type: Passive Range: Self Description: This is the base ability that Cybele’s powers revolve around. It can be used outside of her Resurrección as well, though only on herself then. Using this ability, Cybele is able to freely modify her own body in any way she wishes; height, weight, general physique, color of skin, hair, or eyes, hair length or style, bone structure, etc. Any conceivable modification is possible under this technique. Utilizing this technique is how she is able to give all of her personae individual appearances, and vary them slightly from time to time. Having this ability, she also uses this to form ‘clothes’ out of her own skin and color them appropriately, and thus her wardrobe is also freely changeable. When using this technique on herself, she is only able to make one modification or set of modifications to herself per five posts, however, outside of her transformations to change between her personae’s default appearances.
While in Resurrección form, Cybele is also able to extend this ability to other beings or objects she touches (including the drones summoned by her ability Génni̱si̱). When she places her hand on another object or being, she may freely manipulate the original form of the target in small bursts, in a 1-foot radius from the point of contact on the original form. She does not need to remain in contact to perform the modifications; once the target has been touched, they are marked and she may perform one alteration or set of alterations as she pleases, though the target must be touched again to reverse the effects or otherwise alter the target’s form freely. She often uses this in combat to disorient enemies, as while becoming moderately accustomed to a new weapon is possible to be done in the heat of battle to an extent where it is usable, a modification to one’s very own body is far more disorientating, a sudden change in size or weight of a body part likely able to cripple even a veteran warrior in immediate combat.
Note: Any modifications to anyone or anything other than Cybele herself are undone should she exit Resurreccion state.
Modifications caused by this technique may not exceed doubling the size (either length or depth) or weight of anything in one use, be it as part of an object/being or the object/being as a whole, and is not capable of removing or creating major organs (such as the heart), though it is capable of relocating such. Any additional limbs or extensions of the body added by this technique may not exceed the size or weight of those that already exist prior to that particular use of the technique. Added or enhanced limbs or body parts carry the same defensive properties as the rest of the being's body, including use of defensive masteries such as Hierro and Blut. Aesthetic modifications are unlimited per use as long as they do not involve exceeding the other limits of the technique.

One would think that being told that they were being brought back to a hostile environment to be tortured and killed would fill someone with a sense of dread. But Liam was hardly a normal person, so the impending threat of death and possible consumption of his soul did not bother him that much.
"Thank you for sparing Choker. He seemed to be pretty afraid while he was alone. I think that was why he lashed out." It would probably be rather perplexing for Cybele, someone like Liam who seemed to have no fear of death. Not the slightest bit bothered by the snapping jaws inches from his face.
But what did bother him was the Hollow Queen's insinuation that Liam was a liar. "I told you already. I am not a liar." He repeated, rising to his feet, preparing himself to follow the Arracar Monarch to his doom. "Aside from dying what do I have to do to show you I actually don't mean any harm?!
But the chances are his voice would fall on deaf ears. Those of the older generation held onto grudges. Grudges that would be better off being buried. Someone as young and idealistic as Liam would only end up being buried under the weight of his ancestor's sins. Doomed to die through no fault of his own. "Is this really how its going to keep going?" He asked, his head sinking as he spoke, mostly to himself. For once seemingly giving into despair. "You kill me for what my ancestors did. Then my family comes and slaughters your subjects in retribution. Then the cycle just keeps repeating itself."
A small hollow laugh escaped his lips. "There was really no point in my trying to extend the olive branch wasn't there?"
“While your concern for one of my kind, however genuine it may or may not be, is touching, perhaps you should be more concerned of your own fate at this time.” The Queen of Hueco Mundo stepped back, crossing her arms under her chest, glaring coldly at the Quincy before her. Let it not be said that she did not have patience, or an open mind, to some extent; she patiently waited for him to finish speaking, her eyes cold daggers pressing against him the entire time, as he made what she could not say wasn’t a decent argument. But at the same time, he was Quincy, long known for their seemingly pointless quarrels with both Hollow and Shinigami. If not for the prior, perhaps she could see this man as a potential ally. But instead, despite his pleas, all she saw before her was a physical embodiment of a period of blind hatred and slaughter, of the crimes this child’s ancestors had committed; grave, unforgiveable crimes.
She sealed her Zanpakuto, the weapon in her hand returning to more of a long, bladed staff before contorting once more and sinking into her palm, her tails receding under her dress. She watched the Quincy carefully as his emotions flared, and as he spoke his last words, her expression softened slightly. This Quincy was intriguing; it would not do to kill him immediately. Perhaps she should simply leave him to his fate in the Maw, and see what time and helplessness would do to him; would he crack under the pressure and reveal his true nature to her? Would she grow tired and decide to have him executed anyway? Perhaps time would reveal that he had the right of it? She had never, after all, claimed to be all-knowing. She closed her eyes, her Reiatsu pressing down and in on the Quincy, not enough to cause serious damage, but enough to render him unconscious before long.
“I grow tired of hearing the voice of a Quincy,” she spoke calmly, intentionally leaving his question unanswered. “Sleep now. Let it not be said that I am without mercy; you should perhaps take the time to enjoy something of your last hours of life.” As she spoke the last words, her Reiatsu would overcome him, and he would be rendered unconscious, but otherwise unharmed. In this state, she would use her ability once more to sprout a vine-like extension from the back of her right wrist, extending it out and curling it tightly around the Quincy’s waist and lifting him into the air as she began her walk back to the castle.
