Shiro's eyes shot open, head spinning, body sweating. A ceiling, it's presence growing more familiar to her with each passing day, stared down upon her now conscious state. "Ugh..." Shiro pulled herself up into a sitting position on the bed and groaned. Thanks to Theo, he'd obtained a new bed for Shiro to replace the one she'd damaged the other day. Or rather he'd relocated her to a room right next to his... Judging by the fatigue she still felt, the teen knew her sleep had been short and restless. Getting any sleep at this point though would be useless after the horrendous dream she'd just had. Dreams about what might have happened to Sayuri after passing through the monkey monster's portal. Dead. That's what Mr. Rose had said she'd be upon reaching the other side. Shiro couldn't accept it but it seemed as if her dreams defied her reluctance to accept truth for what it was.Shiro Inazuma © All rights reserved, 2015-2016.
In the dream, visions of a hungry, ravenous monster consumed dozens of people. Helpless to stop it's ongoing and grotesquely violent rampage, they were all caught up by it's gaping maw, mutilated, crushed, and eventually eaten. Though she'd never seen true carnage before, for some reason this dream was bizarrely realistic and far too much for Shiro's mind to handle. She quickly rushed to the edge of the bed and became sick.
After cleaning up her mess Shiro donned her armor. Fastening the sword, she headed down to where Theocelese usually stayed and prepared the morning meal. She didn't smell the sweet juicy aromas she usually woke up to so she could guess her wakening had in fact been quit early, she'd neglected to look at the clock before leaving the room. Entering the kitchen revealed no prep work and no Mr. Rose. Shiro frowned. It was a break from his routine, at least it was a break from the one she'd seen at least. Perhaps the events at her new school had affected him in more ways than she'd originally thought... She left the kitchen and made her way over to the bar. If he was there, maybe he'd let her have something to drink. Or perhaps she could help herself if he was not. She entered the bar considering whether or not some alcohol might help her to forget her nightmare...
