PERSONALITY
From first impressions alone, at naught more than a single look, Suì-Fēng is a cold woman. She has a brisk way of speaking, her face betrays any emotion wading through her mind, she moves swiftly and silently, and her preference lies within the shadows rather than inside the light. As a Captain within the ranks of the Gotei 13, Suì-Fēng has a great deal of authoritarianism in her personality, and this trait bleeds through off-hours interactions as well. Any requests that she might make come off more as declarations than anything else. Whether she is within her uniform or relaxing in casual wear, Suì-Fēng always carries herself with a certain level of vainglory that she rarely removes. She believes--and often proves--that actions speak far louder than words possibly can, though that's not to say she's above flaunting her superior skill and power. Any time she does this, however, it is in the name of minimizing violence or discouraging weaker opponents from senseless injury instead of puffing up her proverbial feathers.
The Captain of the Second Division of the Gotei 13, Commander of the Onmitsukidou, and head of the Fēng family, she takes her responsibilities severely, having been trained from her first steps to fulfill a certain role, and she strives not just for competence but to excel well and above expectations. Any world view with less dedication than her own is offered no quarter--a person who commits themselves less than two hundred percent might as well quit and stop getting in her way. In the early stages of her life, Suì-Fēng wanted only to be of service to her mistress, Yoruchi Shihouin, and saw her as her beginning and end. Following this woman's abandonment from the Soul Society, Suì-Fēng went through a very drastic change in personality and outlook. During the century that Yoruichi had gone away, Suì-Fēng trained relentlessly, mastering the arts of stealth and poison. She eventually rose to the rank of Captain for the single goal of surpassing the woman who had left her like a broken toy. Where it was once her lady's word that defined her understanding of the world, Suì-Fēng now relies on her orders to provide her purpose and give her a reason for being.
Being born into a place of much lower nobility, there is a great value in the social strata within Suì-Fēng's heart: it exists with reason. Those who are strong lead and, at least in the Soul Society, the families were chosen for that strength alone. Falling into one of the minor houses, the Fēng family has served the Shihouin for generations, and she was brought up with the knowledge that she would fall into those same footsteps or suffer unquestionable exile for failure. As such, she's had to work painstakingly hard to keep her place (and, eventually, become the head of the family) and it reflects in how she addresses those of higher or lower birth status. In the professional setting, she's a downright callous Commander and an obedient subordinate, stating once that she believes it's best when a Commander and her subordinates are at odds--the tension drives the subordinate to improve until they can surpass the master. It's more likely, however, that she upholds this philosophy based on her own tragic history: she worshiped the ground at her Commander's feet only to be abandoned without warning or word, an experience she doesn't want to put anyone else through--it's better that her subordinates are indifferent to her death than to feel the same pain of being left behind by someone they admire or trust.
There is more to it than Suì-Fēng simply distancing herself away from those underneath her. On top of this, an icy shell exists around Suì-Fēng, offering rage or ruthlessness rather than revealing even the slightest of her sympathies. This is not to say that she's unfeeling--only that she refuses to let others see into those feelings, keeping anyone who dares to encroach on her personal world at arm's or, if necessary, sword's length. While generally cool and collected, Suì-Fēng's temper can run hot, especially if it concerns Yoruichi. In but a matter of seconds she can drop her poise to unveil a somewhat emotionally immature center, abandoning reason for reaction, discussion for violence, and thoughtfulness for short-sightedness. In most situations, Suì-Fēng can be expected to maintain her façade and, while she's unlikely to qualify as "friendly" or even allow someone close enough to call her friend, she keeps too much to herself to make an abundance of enemies.
Where Suì-Fēng lacks in social skills, she more than makes up for when in combat. Having spent her entire life absorbed in some kind of training or another, self-directed or not, her skill in battle is matched only by her skill in stealth. As someone at the Captain level in the Gotei 13, she's proven herself, developing the skills of her Zanpaktou to the point of "Bankai", considered all but a requirement to achieve her rank. Suì-Fēng fights on her own primarily, citing the presence of others as a burden or "getting in her way." This is half-in-half: half of this stems from her pride due to her numerous positions, while the other half lies in protecting her weaker subordinates from being dragged into a fight that's over their heads. Barring a certain cat transmogrifying Shinigami, she maintains her calm in battle and exhibits the ability to think past the moment and into the future. To cite an example, when engaged in combat with the Fraccion, Ggio Vega, Suì-Fēng purposefully withholds her strength, choosing to study her opponent's techniques and strength to better prepare her for stronger enemies. Her ability to think clearly in adverse conditions has saved her life on more than one occasion: even under the threat of immense pain, she will do what is necessary to keep fighting, once going so far as to order her Lieutenant to cut off her arm in order to keep herself in fighting conditions.
When it comes to Suì-Fēng, there are no shades of gray. There are no shades at all; the world, at least to her, is black and white, divided by orders and the letter of the law. Morality for the sake of itself is an unnecessary sentiment, something that "sounds good" but ultimately means nothing. (A fact she's keen to remind the Substitute Shinigami Representative, Ichigo Kurosaki, when he gets notions of saving the world.) Suì-Fēng will not fight or act for morality but so that she may survive and, so far as she can tell, people who say otherwise are just trying to make themselves sound better. At the end of the day, morality will never trump or even encroach upon Suì-Fēng's orders: what is right and wrong does not concern her, only that she successfully executes her assignments as a Captain.
Description:The user forms a golden triangle with their fingers, after which the tips of the triangle shoot out three beams of light that pin the target to one place on a surface, slamming into his or her body in three places in a shape of a perfect triangle.
HEALING
MISCELLANEOUS
Name: Shunko
Level: Perfected
Description: Shunko is the highest form of combat technique that combines physical techniques of Hand to Hand or Weapon Skill with the spell-based techniques of Kidou. The Kidou itself is driven into the user's arms and legs to enhance their Hand-to-Hand and can be fired at opponents from the body, also forcing fabric on the user's back and arms to rip apart. It can come in elements such as 'wind' or 'lightning' but are able to be given other elements to fit the user's style. For weapon style, the user is channeling the Kidou energies from their bodies directly into the object, thus becoming an extension of themselves whilst generating the properties of the Shunko on to the item/weapon.
The maximum duration is ten posts, with a two post cool down.
Name: Mukyū Shunkō (Tireless Flash War Cry) Class: Kido Type: Supplementary Tier: II Range: Self Incantation: N/A
Description: Mukyū Shunkō is a technique developed by Suì-Fēng within her Perfected Shunko. It's use involves Suì-Fēng wrapping her body with the Reiatsu emitted from her Shunko more than once, causing it to revolve around her body like a vortex infinitely once activated.
Eishōhaki (詠唱破棄, "Incantation Abandonment"): is the skill in which a Kidō practitioner skips using a spoken incantation completely, but it drastically weakens the spell. This is applied as a 1-2 tier drop in the spells power depending on ones Kidou mastery, 2 for Beginner up to Advanced, and 1 for Mastered and above. However this also lowers the spells cooldown to match the lowered tier, to a minimum of Tier I.e.g A Tier IV Kidou be cast with Eishohaki as a tier II, its cooldown will also be the same at 0 posts.
BATTLE SKILLS
Name: Kazaguruma [風車, "Windmill"] Class: Hand to Hand Technique Tier: III Type: Offensive Range: Self
Description: Kazaguruma is comprised of two movements, one is which the user jumps into the air at 3x natural speed, leaving a trail of the condensed physical energy behind them, before crashing down with a hard kick at a target knocking them away, up to 50 meters to be specific. Kazaguruma can be used in any manner, either in a frontal kick, sideways, backwards, any numerous amounts of ways to utilize it, and can be used to set up an advantage.
Name: Takigoi (Waterfall Carp) Class: Hand to Hand Technique Tier: III Type: Defensive Range: Self
Description: Takigoi involves blocking an opponent's kick by trapping their attacking foot against the user's forearm and blocking the opposite foot with the user's own. By effectively blocking the attacker's movements, the user of Takigoi is then able to counterattack with their unopposed free hand.
Name: Speed Clones Class: Stepping Tier: II Type: Illusion Range: Short
Description: Through the utilization of Shunpou, the user of Speed Clones creates 15 clones of themselves that are indistinguishable from the user and follow the user's movements. The drawback is that they do not last long, usually used to catch the opponent off guard in a short amount of time.
Description: Falling under the category "Way of Onmitsu, 3rd of the Shihou", Utsusemi involves the user moving so fast to avoid an attack that an afterimage in their place appears to have taken the hit.
Name: Shunpo (Flash Steps) Class: Stepping Type: Stepping Range: N/A Tier: I Description: A movement technique that allows the user to move extremely quickly over short distances. The focal point that determines the basis of this technique is speed. Therefore what determines the level of skill in a user for Shunpo is best characterized by how fast one can get from A to B in the least amount of steps.

REIATSU FEATURES
Suì-Fēng's reiatsu is golden yellow in coloration and, as an added mention, her control with it is so excellent that she is able to completely and utterly erase her spiritual presence from being detected.
ZANPAKUTOU
SUZUMEBACHI
REIATSU
STING ALL ENEMIES TO DEATH
SEALED FORM
Suzumebachi's sealed form takes the appearance of a Japanese sword resembling a wakizashi, with the yellow coloured hilt resembling a Chinese sword known as a "dao." Suì-Fēng keeps her Zanpakutou within it's scabbard settled horizontally against the small of her back hanging by a rope.
Suzumebachi maintains a very friendly, teasing personality as displayed within the Zanpakutou Tales arc, shown when she ends up teasing Hyourinmaru and how she conducts herself when not under mind control. (Bear in mind that the personality and appearance are not considered canon and revealed in filler arcs. If this is an issue I'll remove these.)
Name: Nigeki Kissatsu (Death in Two Steps) Class: Zanpakutou Spirit Tier: IV Type: Poison Range: Short
Description: The trademark ability of Suì-Fēng's shikai, Nigeki Kessatsu is a two-step process utilized through Suzumebachi's venom. Once Suì-Fēng has stabbed an opponent within an area with Suzumebachi's tip, within the deep wound's location will be a butterfly shaped tattoo from the center of the strike called a Houmonka (Hornet's Crest) which cannot be removed unless Suì-Fēng wills it. (Those with a high enough Reiatsu can, however, remove them.) The second step of Nigeki Kessatsu involves Suì-Fēng utilizing Suzumebachi to stab the same point on the opponent's body, killing them instantly. Rather than stabbing the exact same point of entry, all Suì-Fēng has to do is hit the point of surface contact, and the method by which Suzumebachi causes instant death is by the speed at which the venom runs through an opponent's body. (Minutes, if not seconds.) When an opponent has been killed by this method, two large butterfly shaped insignia appear, absolutely obliterating what remains of the target's body.
Name: (Unnamed Ability) Class: Zanpakutou Spirit Tier: VII Type: Offensive Range: Long
Description: The one ability capable of Suzumebachi's Bankai. Suì-Fēng, utilizing the large missile housed by her Zanpakutou, fires it out toward an opponent at a surprising amount of speed. The recoil of the missile's launch is so severe that, should Suì-Fēng not be rooted in some way, she will be sent flying. Gaining her target through the slits in the launcher which enable her to aim properly, Suì-Fēng launches the missile which, upon being launched, gains fins on the end of it as it tracks it's target akin to a heat seeker. Once the missile hits it's mark, a massive explosion emits from the point of contact, with enough force that it cracked Hachigen's "Shijuu no Saimon" Kidou and severely damaged the Espada Arrancar Barragan Louisenbairn. It's also worth noting that, for the duration of her Bankai, Suì-Fēng's Reiatsu turns a light blue coloration, and that she is only able to fire her Bankai's missile once.
If your comrade is being defeated, you should see it as an opportunity. Rather than standing in the way, you should stab the enemy in the back. And if the enemy is so far above your level that you cannot even manage that, then you should let your comrade die.
It wasn't enough. She needed more. Fifty became sixty. Sixty became one hundred. One hundred became two hundred. As the sun reached the center of the sky, the lengths to which Suì-Fēng aimed to push herself only increased. The tips of the woman's fingers balance her light frame delicately, as she shifts from her fingers to her palms, dropping her body downward before lifting it back up. Sweat dribbles off her face to such a degree that droplets have already begun to soak the log beneath her. It's still not enough. As Suì-Fēng resumes pushing herself up and letting herself fall downward, faces begin to appear in her mind, reflected in the bits of water beneath her.
The faces of the Quincy who had dared to invade the Soul Society were the first to appear. In seclusion, with no one else around, Suì-Fēng allows her teeth to grit audibly. The amount of shame that had flowed through her being -- that continues to infect her like a sickness was appalling. A repeat occurrence was not going to be allowed. As the Quincy faces disappear, another face intrudes on her progress. Within this solitude, Suì-Fēng falters, a small degree of shock appearing on her features. The person she was currently envisioning was Yoruichi Shihouin, the one figure who mattered more to her than anyone else ever had.
She said nothing, but stared back with half-lidded eyes. Was that disappointment in her gaze? Resentment, for having faltered against the Shinigami's mortal enemy? Two hundred becomes three hundred. Three hundred becomes five hundred. Had her mind become so clouded that she was starting to second guess her own abilities? Absolutely foolish. If her Bankai had been stolen, then so be it. It was not the only weapon within Suì-Fēng's arsenal. A great deal of Reiatsu begins to fluctuate around her body wildly as, with one rough push, Suì-Fēng launches herself into the air.
When she lands, an explosion of energy swirls around her arms, increasing in severity as the seconds past. A Shunpou gets followed up by an intense punch, that causes the log she had just been exercising upon to shatter into millions of tiny splinters. The progress she had made in such a short amount of time... If she kept on this train of thought, on this path of training, could she finally perfect what had been passed down to her? Could she finally push herself onto, and perhaps even excel above, Yoruichi-sama's level?
With a shake of her head and a few pops of her shoulders, the Captain of the Second Division begins to encircle her entire body with her Reiatsu, a confident smirk tugging at her lips.
