APPEARANCE Appearance
Yuu stands at around five foot seven inches tall (around 170cm) with a slim and unintimidating build. He has long red hair, pulled back in and loose ponytail, and a scar adorning his left cheek.

HISTORY
100 years ago Yuu was born to into the Koboyashi family of the 24th east district of the Rukongai. During the early part of his life he was considered a success to his family, easily passing the academy and becoming a member of the 9th Division. Though Yuu excelled at combat his true passion was art, this quickly showed in his work as a shinigami as he developed his own unique fighting style based on the creative ideas inside. Yuu spent the majority of his life working, never stopping as he thought it was the only way he could bring his family name honor.
During his time in the 9th division he discovered a trove of hidden knowledge, something the mortal in the living realm called philosophy. Soon Yuu found himself much more interested in studying these strange ideals than actually doing the work he was assigned. This was when Yuu truly found himself, no longer a slave to the machine his consciousness grew and expanded.
Not too long ago one of Yuu’s cousins married into a noble family, the Shiori of the 24th east district of the Rukongai. This excited Yuu as he had had dealings with them in the past and had quite liked the Shiori. Thanks to the hard work of the two families they fused into one large noble family, a family that Yuu happily took as his own to the point of changing his own name and leaving his Koboyashi self behind.
Thankfully minor nobility agrees with Yuu, allowing him the respect necessary to get away with his childish antics and less than superb work ethic. Though Yuu is not the perfect example of his family he is still respected for his insight and creativeness, just enough for people to deal with his behavior.
