Mountains of god

Mountains of man
crumble before me
I would like to start this story with a poetic piece about the birds in the trees, the moss covered rocks by the river. The ravine the scene is set in and the translucent river that flows directly down the middle, covered in shade from both sides by a light forest. However there is little serenity to be found in this sealed away paradise. Due to the rather loud ruckus being made by the riverside. The wildlife long since scared away, the leaves on the trees shook and fell as each thud resounded through the ravine. The water rippled, the fish had retreated further downriver to avoid the large, flying chunks of rock.
By the riverside, on the north end, stood a man, holding a rather unsuitable implement for what he was attempting. Which was obviously, trying to beat up a mountain. His sword thudded into the rock, sending a surprising amount of chips flying. Glancing off with a shower of sparks, and then hitting again, trying to gouge out what might seem like a cave to casual onlookers. Or mining for minerals rumoured to be hidden under the mountain range. A black kimono lay behind him, under several layers of rubble. However the man himself looked immaculate, his sword was undented. No sweat, dust or lint lay on his body, as though he had only just started or was some kind of ghost. However neither of these were true, he was simply impervious to all forms of stains, muck, dirt and liquids of fabric damaging form.
He had in fact, been here for hours. Honing his strength. You see, to this man, a mountain is the perfect foe. It does not move, it does not speak, it does not hear. Yet its defence is quite literally, rock solid. A careless move can leave you blind or worse. And it requires days of dedication and strength to defeat it. Constantly looming over you and reminding you who is better, who is stronger. But he was determined to defeat it, to finally claim the title of the mountain conqueror. The rumour had been going around that he had once been attacked by a mountain come to life. If only. But he lived in the hope that someone, somewhere could do so. And he was looking forward to that day.
But for now. He would make do with the mountain. Less a more enticing offer came along.

Karasu was following a river surrounded by forest and near a mountain this day. Some days he enjoyed the wild and liked to check out the different scenery compared to a town or city, sadly this day was not one of those days he was out of money and had to find other means of eating and shelter. He started hearing a strange sound off in the distance further down the river. He followed curiously the side of the mountain getting closer and the trees denser as this strange metallic sound got louder, the best he could describe this sound would be a pick hitting against the mountain. The sound got to its loudest when Karasu could see a slight clearing in the trees ahead. Getting close he hid his reiatsu as best he could and used the trees to hide, he looked into the clearing he saw the strangest thing.
There was a man swinging a sword as if attacking the mountain, looking closely the sword didn't even see effected by the treatment. Well someone is definitely bored, lets brighten up his day a bit. He thought to himself as his hands where shrouded in black feathers which would slowly dissipate, revolvers now in his hands. As a side effect of sorts a Raven was created out of spiritual energy beside him. Controlling this raven he would send it out to pass just by the mans face, directly after Karasu would walk into the clearing revealing himself. "Hello there I am Riborubā, Karasu. Uhm do you have a grudge against that mountain or something? I hope it deserved the treatment." He said his hands to his sides so the revolvers in his hands wouldn't seem as intimidating, though the man did have a sword so it never hurt to be safe.

Swing the sword. Hit the rock. Swing the sword. Hit the rock. Swing the sword. Hit the rock. Swing the sword. Hit the rock. Then all of a sudden, a feathery flying thing is in his face, stinking of reiatsu and doing its own flappy thing. Yorishou's natural reaction was to cut the fecking thing in half before it got away, His already swinging sword slicing what seemed to be a raven clean in two in a puff of black feathers. Hitting the rock, then using the blow, he turned, sword swinging up, over, under and back into his hand in the habit he had taken to doing before and during a fight.
He was not entirely sure why the approaching man was hiding his reiatsu after throwing a reitsu technique at him. Its like an ice cream man throwing ice cream at you then trying to scribble out the words "Mr whippy" on the side of his van. An analogy he found himself rather proud of. However the man had no follow up, no attack, defence to be seen. Apart from the guns in his hand that he was what? Trying to make them see innocuous? Two guns? Does this guy realise that walking up to someone holding guns is not seen as normal in any world?
However, Yorishou gave the man the benefit of the doubt and assumed he was simply stupid and did not know how to say hello without scaring the crap out of someone first. "Mr. Riborubā. I would like to say it is a pleasure to meet you but as I have no idea who you are or what you want that would be rather...well, a lie." His approach was much more tactful. He looked back at the man, then the mountain, then again, sheathing his sword after a moments hesitation and clasping his hands together, still looking back and forwards at the mountain. "This mountain? No. Of course not, its a pile of rock. What could a pile of rock do to cause a grudge? Unless of course, you know a reason I would have a grudge against this mountain and came because you expected my revenge?" He stopped looking back and forwards, and raised an eyebrow at the man.
"Have you come to settle a grudge with this mountain?" he asked sing song mockingly.

MAYBE YOU DIDN'T HEAR BUT,
I'm a southern boy
Karasu laughed at the mans response, though it was unoriginal at the end."No I have never seen nor heard of you before, though I am sure I would have said the same thing regardless and no I have no grudge against this mountain." By the time he finished speaking another raven of spiritual energy would be created this time perching on Karasu's shoulder. He inspected the man before him, he never heard of a sword that wouldn't get at least scratched after striking at a rock nor had he heard of a man that could carve so much out of a mountain with a sword. Of course if Karasu where stronger with his soul communication he would be able to do far more but it was never something he tried to train no matter how much it fascinated him.
He started walking over to the man and placed one of his guns in the holster at his hip. "I told you my name and as to what I am, well I am a fullbringer. Sorry I do not have any more than one way to hold a gun so this is the most I can do. It is nice to meet you-" As he spoke he would try to get within arm distance of the man, then if allowed he would reach his free hand out offering it for a handshake as a friendly gesture. Karasu would wait for the man to give his name before speaking up again. ""What is more important though, is what exactly are you? I have never heard of a man using a sword to cut into a mountain without completely destroying his own sword." Karasu though being friendly was still cautious, sensing the mans reiatsu alone he knows the man in front of him is stronger though he can't entirely tell how much stronger.

Yorishou had met many people in his travels, young, old, very young and very very old. All different races, different spiritual awareness's, strengths, powers and personalities. However none of them, especially full bringers among those more perceptive, ever did not know what a shinigami sensed like. It was strange, his race not being recognised, most people either stated it or attacked on site. But fair enough, if you had not met one, or not been used to one then he guessed it would be a thing...
There was no harm in introductions. As of yet. He has joked before of kidou abilities that can do things to you with just your name, but there was no evidence that that was something that could be done. "Yorishou Kiyoshi, Shinigami of the 11th gotei division, and I would have thought what I was doing was rather obvious, I am beating up a mountain." His power ambition was no secret, it was something as common as, I have a sword, I hit stuff with it. "You see, one trains by fighting someone with a difficulty or a skill that surpasses your own. The 11th division, and myself, believe that strength relies in...well, strength." He said while taking the mans hand, three strong shakes and then placed his hand on the sword hilt.
A distraction like a handshake could be the most cliché and obvious ploy he had ever seen, so if this guy was going to start something, he would need to be ready. A hand on the hilt being the only non-threatening, casual thing he could think of in the moment. "And a mountain, being of rock, is the strongest thing I could find to the strongest thing to be found. A true test of endurance." He turned his hilt to the side to show its length. "This, if you still have not figured it out, is my zanpakutou, it is very strong, very sharp and very...strong."
