Svetlana Nikova

{Spoiler}HUMAN LIFE
Svetlana was born six-hundred and eighty-eight years ago in Moscow, Russia. Growing up wasn't easy, but her community thrived together, doing her fair share of work as her's was a family of farmers. When she finally began to come of age, Svetlana found herself in love with a boy from her village, who was also raised on a farm, though he was privileged and trusted enough to hunt game instead as they grew older. His name was Artur, and to this day she remembers how he would always whistle* when he was fortunate enough to have harvested an animal. As she got to know Artur, Svetlana came to find that he was interested in a lot more than just that. Music and literature were among his most favored hobbies, and he even enjoyed dancing, which they began to practice together during the late evenings when the village got together.

However, in the coming years the entire continent of Europe would be gradually overwhelmed with a deadly plague that was much later found to be caused by fleas that have bitten some form of vermin with the bacterium, then biting a human to transfer the disease. Naturally hunting and being around animals, Svetlana's lover was soon showing the symptoms of bubonic plague.

It wasn't long before she was losing him, and just as well joining her lover in his sickly state. After he died, Svetlana decided to take her own life so that she didn't have to live any longer without him. She was ready to accept this fate, rather than try to live without him in pain and misery.

PLUS SOUL
What she hoped was eternal darkness soon became the light of day, and when her eyes opened she could see the world around her. There were also chains coming from a hole in Svetlana's chest, eating away at themselves ever so eagerly. There were others like this as well, including her lover. But no sooner than when she got there it seemed his chains were already about to run out. But what did that matter, right? They were still talking to each other, up until he began to scream...and then he disappeared in a flash of white.

Crying as she lay contemplating what seemed to be a lonely abyss, another white flash occurred before her some time later, this time bringing with it a masked monster. She wiped her tears, hoping that maybe this was something akin to a dream. Only she wasn't so lucky...this Hollow, which was actually her lover, lunged jaw-open towards her. Managing to avoid being bitten and chewed, it was Svetlana's chain that wound up in the Hollow's mouth. With a sudden jerk, he ripped it from Svetlana's chest, chewing the chains as they too began to devour themselves at a heinous rate.

Screaming.

That was all Svetlana could manage as she felt her soul being rendered, suddenly engulfed in a certain darkness. She could feel that she was losing herself, and in the following moments a white light yet again gave way and suddenly she was standing right back where she was in Moscow. Only she was hungry...very hungry.

HOLLOW LIFE...TOGETHER
Because of the circumstances, Svetlana's lover had a few moments to eat all the other souls in the area, and even the other Hollow that were beginning to spawn from all of the other victims of the plague. As Svetlana came out, she let out a rippling shriek of terror out of her own fear of the current hunger she was experiencing. This drove him away before he let out a similar call, seemingly aware of both her frustration and identity. Allowing her some time and space, they were able to thrive off of the other souls alone until a rift opened in the middle of the sky.

Suddenly enveloped in an orange aura, Svetlana and her lover were carried off into a different land. It was bleak and dull, comprised of naught but alabaster sands and perpetual night. There were also others like them there, and they too were hungry...

It wasn't a moment sooner than being "safely" transported to this place that the towering, skyscraper-sized Hollows that brought them began to try and eat them. While some saw it fitting to charge red beams with their mouths, the others simply either stomped or bit down towards them on the ground.

Prompted to attack, it wasn't long before they discovered that they had their own powers. Killing them all and managing to come out unscathed, the two had a grand feast together and began to form a bond of mutual interest. It wasn't long before they came across another field of these enormous Hollow, both splitting ways and eating their fill

Afterwards, more Hollow filled the area, and they were all completing the cycle by combining to form the towering Hollows they had eaten. It took quite some time, but they both managed to attain control over all the other souls they were struggling against for consciousness. Finally able to move once more, they ate the other Gillian before they could gain control of their body and fight back.

In the decades to come, Svetlana and her lover survived, but barely. It was four-hundred years before either of them became an Adjuchas, which started with her lover as he had become Hollow first. After another decade at his side, Svetlana too eventually consumed enough souls to achieve this great power. Though it only seemed to become more of a burden...

As the decades went on, the two found themselves constantly being ambushed and battling with the other beasts of Hueco Mundo, coming to learn of this dull realm's name and the evolution of Hollow from their adversaries. They were even told of regression, the effects of losing a part of their body before reaching the pinnacle stage of Hollow evolution, and best of all...how to get rid of it all by becoming a Vasto Lorde.

With a goal now set, the two strove harder than ever to achieve this greatness they heard of. Not just for themselves, but for each-other. As time went on, they began to recall their mortal memories, realizing more and more just who they were. Which was not the monster they became.

Yet, as time past them by, so did the opportunities presented to them. Less and less Hollow were born each day, forcing the stronger Hollow to knuckle down and begin looking for challenging pray. As luck would have it, this happened to Svetlana and her Hollow partner. Even together, their powers did not seem enough. Losing his hand and part of his arm, Svetlana's lover eventually gave in and sacrificed himself so that she could land a fatal blow.

Once their enemy was killed, her lover forced Svetlana into eating him so that their promise to both reach Vasto Lorde would technically come true as he would "become a part of her". Only loosely remembering who he was, she was not as reluctant as one would have thought when it came to scarfing him down. Regardless, the deed was done, and she fed on the two corpses and took in their strength knowing not what to do with it...

HOLLOW LIFE...ALONE
Life on her own was hard...but Svetlana managed. Even though consuming her lover brought back discomforting memories, she was strong enough to take on most, if not all Adjuchas level Hollow. Nothing seemed to get in her way, though no matter how much she ate she realized nothing sated her hunger.

Another hundred years or so have passed since then, and Svetlana has heard rumors from other Hollow she's encountered since her lover's death that the only known way to become a Vasto Lorde is to eat one. Because of this, Svetlana has taken to searching for these ominous entities, though her luck has proven itself a pointless task.

HOLLOW LIFE...CURRENTLY
Instead of looking for Vasto Lorde, Svetlana has simply taken to exploring the realms, feasting daily on Hollow alone to ensure she does not regress. Intent on keeping her promise, however, Svetlana is keen on confronting a Vasto Lorde should she ever find one. Even if it means finding her own grave.

In other news, Svetlana has recently approached an Arrancar named Fryst whom she hopes to be a companion of in some time. Still obligated to prove herself, Svetlana has taken to new methods in proving herself as someone worthy.
