Retsu Unohana is the beautiful Captain of the Fourth Division. Fitting of a leader of the group responsible for maintaining the health and wellbeing of all Shinigami, the woman is best described as motherly and her appearance for the most part reflects this. Her blue eyes are kind, honest, and sincere while a soft smile almost constantly graces her lips. This even translates towards her hair. Long dark locks starts with a small part down the center of her scalp and form a shape similar to a bob before meeting in the front to twist into an ornate braid that descends across the front of her torso. Due to its length, it passes down past her waist and even longer when let loose. Though this hair style is particularly odd, it is done to hide the only wound on her body that she could not heal: the scar upon her chest from a stab wound she recieved during her days as the first Kenpachi.
Clothing for the woman is for the most standard of any shinigami. Her shihakusho is a standard issue with the sole exception that an obi binds it together at her waist as opposed to the normal sash. Additionally, she prefers to not carry her zanpakuto at her waist. Due to its length as a nodaichi, it is worn around her shoulder in "tachi" style or carried by a subordinate. Because of this, she is normally not armed with her blade in most of her appearances. After all, why should one need a sword while treating those in a hospital? Despite this, she discretely keeps some form of weapon on her at all times in the form of a set of tanto-length daggers that she keeps hidden within the sleeves of her kosode. Like any captain, a white haori is worn atop of the uniform with the number of her division upon the back. The inside color is that of a soft pink.
Despite her warm and motherly outwardly appearance, Unohana was the original Kenpachi and leader of the Eleventh Division for a reason. In the instance that she feels a reason to get serious, her bloodlust resurfaces. This tends to begin with the unfastening of her braid to allow her hair to fall freely. Her kind eyes shift into a menacing and gloomy look as her smile fades away into a more neutral position. Though few in the modern days have seen her like this, the few who have certainly show fear of facing her fury.
PERSONALITY
Like the motherly appearance that she presents to others, Retsu Unohana holds a very notorious gentle and kind personality. She is soft-spoken, polite, compassionate, and addresses everyone with respect – even that of her potential enemy. Her years of experience as one of the original Gotei 13 gives her a very level head in almost all circumstances. She rarely panics and never seems to show signs of stress. This makes her a very powerful healer as she can remain focused to properly save one's life. Also due to her role as a healer, Unohana vary rarely is one to raise a blade or actively attempt to fight another. She grants her foes opportunities to flee unless they are offending her sense of justice. This personality quirk also causes the woman to heal anyone she finds injured: ally or enemy alike.
Despite being known as kind and gentle, the Captain is certainly not one to be taken lightly. Several individuals within the Gotei fear her due to her past and the intensity she is capable of showing. As a previous criminal who slaughtered individuals for fun and first Kenpachi, Unohana certainly holds a darker side. She is perhaps one of the few who can literally make people back down with one of those intense smiles, even if not familiar of her past. The few moments that she decides to wield her sword often brings out this internal bloodlust. She holds a love for battle and the clashing of blades. Because of her strength, the woman actually learned healing kido in order to prolong her opponents lives just so she could make her battles last longer. She is also one to play dirty, using any actions necessary to get ahead in battle – even if that means using concealed weaponry or threats.
Outside of these qualities, the woman has her other quirks. She loves strong-flavored foods with abundances of spices, hiking through the mountain ranges of both Rukongai and the Human Realm, and collecting mediincial herbs to add to her collection. She also has a strong preference towards flowers and making flower arrangements, even offering classes in them once a month.
Name: Hado #1 Sho (Thrust) Class: Kido Tier: II Type: Offensive Range: 10m Incantation: Begone from me! Description: Pushes the target away from the caster by a few feet at Bala speed with a small blast of energy directed from an index finger.
Name: Hado #4 Byakurai (Pale Lightning) Class: Kido Tier: II Type: Offensive Range: 30m Incantation: Broiling black, fervent heat, be rejected! Description: The user gathers high-density reiryoku, which they discharge from both hand. Alternatively, they point at their target with their index finger and generate a concentrated bolt of lighting towards them. It's speed is x.1.5 faster than a Bala, unique to it.

Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, The sea barrier surges, March on to the south! Description: Fires a ball of red energy the size a head a x5 Cero Speed at a target.
Name: Hado #33 Sokatsui (Blue Fire, Crash Down) Class: Kido Tier: III Type: Offensive Range: 70m Incantation: Ye Lord! Mask of flesh and bone, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Truth and temperance, Upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws! Description: Fires a burst of blue spiritual energy at a target in a similar manner to Shakkahō at x10 Cero Speed, but over a wider area and with more power.
Name: Hado #63 Raikoho (Thunder Roar Cannon) Class: Kido Tier: V Type: Offensive Range: 50 Incantation: Sprinkled on the bones of the beast! Sharp tower, red crystal, steel ring. Move and become the wind, stop and become the calm. The sound of warring spears fills the empty castle! Description: Fires a massive wave of yellow energy at Cero Speed at a target. With incantation the spell gains a stunning effect based on the advantages calculated from the damage.
Name: Hado #88* Hiryugekizokushintenraiho (Flying Dragon-Striking Heaven-Shaking Thunder Cannon) Class: Kido Tier: VI Type: Offensive Range: 30m Incantation: Dipolar tension, strike out! Burning streams fall from the maw of the great winged serpent, decimating all with thunderous potential! Description: Fires a gigantic electricity blast of spiritual energy at Cero speed resulting in an truly enormous explosion. With incantation, the range is boosted to 50m and it acquires stunning effects.

Name: Bakudo #4 Hainawa (Crawling Rope) Class: Kido Tier: II Type: Binding Range: II Incantation: Unknown Description: An energy rope entangles a target's arms.
Name: Bakudo #8 Seki (Repulse) Class: Kido Tier: II Type: Defensive Range: <5 Meters Incantation: Unknown Description: Creates a round shield that seems to temporary paralyze and repel whatever strikes it.
Name: Bakudo #12 Fushibi (Ambush Flare) Class: Kido Tier: II Type: Binding Range: 30m Incantation: Unknown Description: Creates a reiatsu tripwire of sorts that can be spread out like a large net. Any spiritual being who comes into contact with Fushibi becomes bound to the net. The caster can detonate Fushibi at any time, creating a widespread explosion that produces a bright flare of light. However, the explosion is relatively weak. Hinamori Momo uses this Kidō in conjunction with Shakkahō to create a larger, more potent explosion.
Name: Bakudo #26 Kyokko (Curving Light) Class: Kido Tier: III Type: Supplementary Range: Self Incantation: Unknown Description:Hides the target from sight by bending light. This Kidō can completely mask the presence and reiatsu of the target from detection but if any other combat technique is activated, this Kidou is overwhelmed and broken
Name: Bakudo #37 Tsuriboshi (Suspending Star) Class: Kido Tier: III Type: Binding Range: 30m Incantation: Unknown Description: Creates a star-shaped cushion of spiritual energy, which anchors it to nearby objects with "ropes" of spirit particles. It can stop falling objects, acting like a safety net.
Name: Bakudo #58 Kakushitsuijaku (Summoning of the Tracking Sparrows)* Class: Kido Tier: IV Type: Sensory Range: Indefinite Incantation: Heart of the south, eye of the north, finger of the west, foot of the east, arrive with the wind and depart with the rain. Description: Tracks and locates any spiritual force the user focuses on. To activate it, the user must draw a circle on the ground, cut into four parts with a specific character in each. The incantation animates the circle, causing various numbers to appear within until the specific set is found. The number set seems to be a variation on longitude and latitude.
Name: Bakudo #61 Rikujokoro (Six Rods Prison of Light)* Class: Kido Tier: V Type: Binding Range: 30m Incantation: Carriage of Thunder. Bridge of a spinning wheel. With light, divide this into six! Description: Summons six thin, but wide, beams of light that slam into a target's midsection, holding them in place.
Name: Bakudo #62 Hyapporankan (One Hundred Stepping Rails)* Class: Kido Tier: V Type: Binding Range: 75m Incantation: Unknown Description: A rod formed of energy is thrown towards the target before it disintegrates into numerous short rods which are used to pin the target to the surroundings and render them immobile.
Name: Bakudo #63 Sajo Sabaku (Locking Bondage Stripes)* Class: Kido Tier: V Type: Binding Range: 75m Incantation: Unknown Description: Binds the arms of a target. According to Ushōda Hachigen, physical strength alone should not be enough to break out of a number 60 (Tier V) Bakudō. However, Muguruma Kensei was able to free himself from this Kidō while in his Hollow form.
Name: Bakudo #73 Tozansho (Falling Mountain Crystal) Class: Kido Tier: V Type: Defensive Range: 30 Meters from User Incantation: Unknown Description: Creates an inverted pyramid-shaped barrier around the caster.
Name: Bakudo #75 Gochutekkan (Quintet of 1 Kan Iron Pillars)* Class: Kido Tier: V Type: Binding Range: 30m Incantation: Walls of iron sand, a priestly pagoda, glowing ironclad fireflies. Standing upright, silent to the end. Description: Summons five incredibly tall and thick pillars which are connected to each other by chains to pin a target to the ground.
Name: Bakudo #77 Tenteikura (Heavenly Rickshaws in Silken Air)* Class: Kido Tier: VI Type: Supplementary Range: Indefinite Incantation: Black and white net. Twenty-two bridges, sixty-six crowns and belts. Footprints, distant thunder, sharp peak, engulfing land, hidden in the night, sea of clouds, blue line. Form a circle and fly though the heavens Description: Transmits messages mentally to anyone within an area of the caster's choosing. In addition to reciting the spell, the user must draw specific markings on their arms, which are animated by the spell to convey the messages. The messages can be spoken either by the caster or by another within the vicinity of the caster.
Name: Bakudo #81 Danku (Splitting Void)* Class: Kido Tier: V Type: Defensive Range: 5m Incantation: Unknown Description: Creates an energy barrier in the form of a rectangular wall. This ability is unique in that it can block up to Tier VI Kido, and cannot be emulated.
HEALING
Name: Keikatsu (Opening Revival)* Class: Kido Tier: II-VI Type: Healing Range: <5m Incantation: Unknown Description: A simple healing spell used to heal injuries. Costing Reiatsu depending on the wound, this Kidou surrounds the target in a flash of green light, before starting to heal their injuries. Some internal injuries can be healed, while injuries like cuts in the heart cannot. This technique cannot heal poisons and other ailments.
Name: Meiyu (Luminous Healing)* Class: Kido Tier: II-VI Type: Healing Range: 10m Incantation: Unknown Description: Taking the idea of Keikatsu, Meiyu is another healing technique that functions on an area of effect. This is able to heal up to five people around the caster. The restrictions, costs and durations for healing are the same as Keikatsu, but for each person that is within the area, the cost is not spread over everyone but for each person that needs healing. Thus this is a technique that saves time for healing multiple people, adding a total of 2 posts to each duration for each person.
Name: Ryodo #15 Shiguremino* (Rainshower Coat) Class: Kido Tier: II Type: Healing Range: 15m Incantation: A gentle rain calls forth autumn straw. Sprout and surround. Description: Creates a thin barrier of green reiatsu around a target. While within the coat, the target's wounds and vitals are numbed and fixed at a stable level, allowing transportation without risk of further injury. However, this kido does not heal or restrain them: that would require use of other techniques.
Name: Ryodo #30 Tamashii Nuime (Soul Stitching)* Class: Kido Tier: III Type: Healing Range: Self Incantation: Unknown Description: Coating ones reiatsu into their palm, the energy can then be used to stitch the bonds of spiritual entities limbs back together. It causes immense pain to the injured one. The downside is that any limb stitched back must be rested for four posted and not be used in an active manner.
Name: Ryodo #40 Torikesu (Revoke)* Class: Kido Tier: III Type: Healing Range: <5m Incantation: Pain! I revoke thee! Description: The user gathers sufficient amount of reiryoku around their hand, causing their hand to glow of a white aura. Gently placing their fingertips upon their target's vein, injecting their Reiatsu into their target's nerves and nullifies sense of touch. The user's target will be unable to feel anything upon that limb for five posts. This serves best use for healing someone whom is suffering from intense pain. It may be used on any body part except the head, where it will have no effect.
Name: Ryodo #53 Hiringu Impan (Healing Stamp)* Class: Kido Tier: IV Type: Healing Range: Contact Incantation: Through my contract, insert thy rejuvenation. Description: A healing spell that works over time. Gathering their reiryoku through a pointer finger, the user contacts five light-blue kanji letters [リ - ラ- ッ - ク -ス] on their target chosen body parts. The kanji letters may be individually placed on a body part. Once placed, the ability will soothe the nerves with a relaxing sensation. For the next three posts, the contracted body parts will rejuvenate all minor to moderate cuts and bruises. Upon the ending of the last post, the kanji letters will glow of a teal color and slowly dissipate.
Name: Ryodo #58 Ripea (Repair)* Class: Kido Tier: IV Type: Healing Range: <5m Incantation: May I repair the thread of life, silence all that is strife. Description: The user gathers necessary reiryoku upon their thumb and pointer finger, manifesting a five-inch bright green needle as they widen their two fingers. The user slowly penetrates the body part with the needle, causing it to quickly seep into the skin of the ally. The kidou will then exclusively target deep cuts, moderate gashes, moderate lacerations, and suchlike; painfully, yet quickly repairing tissue and stitching wounds back to the normal. No more than one needle may be placed on one body part at a time.
Name: Ryodo #65 Kagayaki (Radiance)* Class: Kido Tier: V Type: 50m Range: Healing Incantation: Shall I bless my comrades and clear disbelief! May my radiance diminish pain Description: This healing spell requires great concentration and positive energy. The user places their palms outward into the air, releasing a radiant yellow light from their entire body that heals allies up to a maximum of 50 Meters in front of them, as long as they are within the user's field of vision. This particular ability is capable of healing many people through moderate strength. Healing moderate bruises, deep cuts, and first degree burns. Whether this ability is used on one ally or seven allies, it will always heal with the same capability. Lasting for five posts.
Name: Ryodo #80 Tachinaoritama (Restoration Sphere)* Class: Kido Tier: VI Type: Healing/Defensive Range: 20m Incantation: Wounded brother, find sanctuary and refuge within the walls of Vahalla. Whimper of a fleeting soul, red light, soft wind, o lords call baptize your soldiers of war! Description: A complex kidou utilized to protect a squad four member and allow them to simultaneously heal a wounded ally. This creates a protective sphere that encompasses both the medic and patient. The spherical walls of Tachinaoritama are able to constantly withstand consistent damage from perimeter attacks. This is capable by fueling the walls of Tachinaoritama with a flow of energy so that it is able to stay solidified. Also at the same time this sphere rejuvenates the body slowly per turn, healing any injury sustained.
Any attack that is capable of overcoming Tachinaoritama fortifications it is shattered and the healing process is canceled immediately.
MISCELLANEOUS
CUSTOM KIDOU
Name: Kaifuku Hakogata [Restoration Box] Class: Kido Tier: III Type: Healing Range: 5m Incantation: Sooth the restless soul so it may fight again. Description: After generating a green aura around her palm, Unohana will expand it outwards and encapsulate the target within a green transparent cube of kido. While inside this space, targets will quickly begin to regenerate minor wounds, repairing their attire and skin to pristine conditions, while restoring their spiritual energy to its maximum. This allows fatigued targets to instantly return to the battlefield as if they were fresh. Unohana’s proficiency with this technique has allowed her to perform it on multiple Captain-level targets without showing signs of fatigue herself. As the level of healing performed with this technique is minimal, it may not be used to treat moderate to major wounds.
KIDOU SPECIALISATIONS
Eishōhaki (詠唱破棄, "Incantation Abandonment"): is the skill in which a Kidō practitioner skips using a spoken incantation completely, but it drastically weakens the spell. This is applied as a 1-2 tier drop in the spells power depending on ones Kidou mastery, 2 for Beginner up to Advanced, and 1 for Mastered and above. However this also lowers the spells cooldown to match the lowered tier, to a minimum of Tier I.e.g A Tier IV Kidou be cast with Eishohaki as a tier II, its cooldown will also be the same at 0 posts.
Zen Sanshutsu Eishohaki (全産出詠唱破棄, "Full Yield Incantation Abandonment"): A specialization of the arts that enables you to unleash the full Tier power of a Kidou without saying the incantation. Kidoshu members are able to do this by default, with how well they can do this dictated by their Kidou Perk Mastery. For other Shinigami to achieve the same effect, they must train each Kidou spell separately without incantations. [The spells noted to have this effect must be marked with a * on your profile.]
However regardless of a Kidoshu member's Kidou mastery level, they will not gain any additional effects when casting Tier V to VII Kidou if they use Zen Sanshutsu Eishohaki, only the spell's Tier will be full power. If they wish to gain any noted additional effects, the full incantation must be used. The same applies to non-Kidoshu shinigami, regardless of whether the spell used has been Zen Sanshutsu-trained or not.
Nijū Eishō (二重詠唱, "Twofold Incantation"): A class of Kidō Incantation where the Kidō practitioner mixes the incantations of two entirely separate Kidō spells together to save time and confuse opponents simultaneously. Using this will allow players to mix and match two separate incantations and fire the Kidou spells back to back, not at the same time.
Kōjutsu Eishō (後述詠唱, "Spoken-After Incantation"): a class of Kidō Incantation where the incantation is recited after initiating the spell in order to power it up. Players who take this as their chosen kido specialization will be able to fire off spells without incantation, and power them up mid flight or after spells take effect (Such as bakudo) for the full powered effect.
Note: If the user is in the Kidoshu and/or the spell is mastered to carry full power with no incant, this specialization will not further increase the effect beyond its Tier.
BATTLE SKILLS
Name: Intimidate Class: Reiatsu Control Tier: II Type: Passive Range: Sensing Range Description: A power used to make her feared by even Captain level opponents, Unohana’s reiatsu holds a specific power to it that makes people become greatly intimidated by her presence. With a simple smile, anyone of lower advantage will practically shrink beneath her as their resolve is destroyed under her presence alone.
Name: Deflect Class: Hand to Hand Tier: II~VI Type: Defensive Range: Self Description: Years of battle experience has trained Unohana in the ways of combat. Her vast knowledge of it allows her to use as minimal movement as possible to result in the desired results. Should she come under attack with a close range physical attack, the woman will use the back or palm of her hand to simply push it just far enough away from striking her while opening the opponent to an attack of her own. This motion is practically effortless and is capable of blocking powerful strikes such as in the instance she effortlessly knocked away an Reiryoku infused zanpakuto strike by Zaraki Kenpachi.
Name: Prolonging the Inevitable Class: Healing Tier: N/A Type: Fighting Style Range: Self Description: As Retsu Yachiru the first Kenpachi, Unohana’s preferred pleasure was the striking of a sword against another. Battle was a dance and death was an unfortunate side effect. Due to her strength, her fights were short lived. With the assistance of Kirinji, she learned the healing ways only to make her battles last longer. With every killing blow, healing reiryoku is quickly applied to bring the victim back to life. These brief moments of death are of a similar sensation to going unconscious. This makes the woman one of the few who are able to heal within the midst of combat.
Name: Revive Class: Healing Tier: II-VI Type: Healing Range: 0m-10m Description: After successfully plunging her blade within a target to commit a final blow, Unohana will surge healing kido into the target. This action will revitalize the individual, bringing them back from death’s door while repairing any damage that the attack previously caused. This does not heal any damage outside of that. This repair mends so quickly that most targets do not realize that damage was even received. This may not heal grand injuries such as dismemberment or bifurcation.
Name: Mend Class: Healing Tier: II-VI Type: Healing Range: Contact Description: For injuries that are far more problematic and can’t simply be treated through revive, Unohana will coat her hand or sword with a green aura of reiatsu before literally sticking it into the site of injury. This action directly exposes the wound to regeneration from the inside out so that when she removes herself it will return back to a normal state. The woman’s talent with this skill allows her to apply it mid-strike. She could directly chop through a major artery and remove her blade without spilling a drop of their blood. Unohana may use this technique upon herself should situations call for such.
Name: Shunpo (Flash Steps) Class: Stepping Type: Stepping Range: N/A Tier: I Description: A movement technique that allows the user to move extremely quickly over short distances. The focal point that determines the basis of this technique is speed. Therefore what determines the level of skill in a user for Shunpo is best characterized by how fast one can get from A to B in the least amount of steps.
Description: Fitting of her "play dirty" style of fighting, Unohana carries a total of two daggers within each sleeve of her kosode. They are each 10 inches in length and are able to be equipped without any hesitation from the Captain. Though not often used for such, they may be used as projectiles.
REIATSU FEATURES
Unohana has a soft green reiatsu. Its use is often referred to as "intimidating" by most.
ZANPAKUTOU

SEALED FORM
In its sealed state, Minazuki takes the form of a nodaichi. It holds a very curved length to it, making it almost appear like a schimtar. Its guard is rectangular and the bandages around its hilt are red. Unohana keeps it attached to a red rope to wear over her shoulder tachi style.
Minazuki is a very quiet spirit. Rarely does she speak and when she does, it tends to be quite short spoken. Always doing her best to please her master, the spirit does anything in its power to reflect Unohana's deepest intentions which is perhaps why it shikai (to prevent her from fighting) and bankai (to kill or constantly kill over and over) is how it is.
INNER WORLD
Unohana's inner world takes the form of a bog. Rather than water, blood seems to fill everything. This gives all plant life and vegetation a noticeable red hue. The more she kills, the more blood that seems to fill her inner world.
When Minazuki is released, Unohana's zanpakuto completely dissolves into a green mist that takes the form a very large whale manta-ray hybrid. It is green in color with a pale yellow underbelly while its teeth form the fibrous appearance blue whales possess. Because of its size, it is capable of supporting up to 12 people on its back and holds a stomach large enough to comfortably fit six individuals inside. Due to having limited abilities in battle, it is generally used as transportation as it can fly faster than most can run.
SHIKAI ABILITIES
Name: Devour Class: Zan Mastery Tier: IV Type: Healing Range: Self Description: Perhaps one of the first claims of fame towards Unohana’s capabilities as a healer, “Devour” is one of her most well known methods of regeneration. It involves having her whale-like zanbakuto to first swallow the intended target(s). This action places all within its stomach as it coats all inside with its gastric juices. These stomach acids act as strong healing medicines and ointments that soak deeply within the wounded, curing them of their injuries. Because of its healing properties, very few have managed to die while stockpiled within its gut. Minazuki may carry up to six people at a time within its stomach at a time.
Name: Sticky Acid Class: Zan Mastery Tier: IV Type: Offensive Range: 0m-50m Description: Acting as one of Minazuki’s few offensive capabilities, this technique involves the large spirit to forcibly spit its gastric juices out of its mouth upon the intended target. This liquid has a highly concentrated amount of healing medicines within it that gives it a very acidic quality. This essentially allows it to dissolve through essentially any substance. In addition, its sticky nature makes it quite difficult to remove. Despite hailing from the same location, this offensive quality does not affect the regeneration of anyone stored in its stomach through the “Devour” technique.
Name: Liftoff Class: Zan Mastery Tier: IV Type: Supplementary Range: Self Description: Outside of healing, Unohana’s shikai is most often used as a source of transportation. This is due to the fact that it is capable of achieving flight and moving at constant speeds few shinigami are able to maintain. After sitting upon its back, Minazuki will flap its manta-like wings and zoom up into the atmosphere. While in flight, it is able to move at x4 speeds. Minazuki may comfortably carry up to twelve individuals through this method, not including those stored within its stomach.
Minazuki truly reflects the two sides of the Fourth Division Captain’s persona. On one side she is Unohana, a motherly individual who wishes to preserve life and stop any and all from dying. On the other, she is Yachiru, a former criminal who killed countless souls out of the enjoyment of combat. Once she releases her Bankai, the blood of every person she has healed (through her shikai) and killed by her sword drips down from her sword and pools around the surrounding area. Contact with this fluid stains anyone and everything a scarlet color. The most noticeable of these things is the sword itself which always appears dripping with blood.
BANKAI ABILITIES
Name: All Things' End/Begin Class: Zan Mastery Tier: VII Type: Offensive, Healing, Passive Range: 0m-100m Description: Despite taking the form of blood, Minazuki shares many of the abilities it possessed in Shikai in the fact that the liquid the sword produces holds many medicinal properties. The concentration of this medicinal substance its completely controlled by Unohana and takes one of two capabilities. She may freely switch between these states, but requires a one post cool down before she may do so.
In its more offensive state, this blood proves highly corrosive and will dissolve anyone and anything it touches, including the user. Unless holding great regenerative abilities, anyone that comes in contact with this red fluid will literally fade away until nothing but bones remain. This was the main reason that Unohana learned to heal in the first place: in order to fight longer.
Alternatively, this blood may hastily regenerate anyone that makes contact with it. This regeneration is essentially instantaneous and can mend thick gashes, stabs, and organ punctures without any difficulty. It, however, can not heal dismembering attacks that remove limbs unless active effort is placed to hold said limb on while the wounds heal. This state allows the woman to fight without any participants falling victim to that unfortunate consequence that is death. Because of this, it proves very difficult to kill anyone while in this state.
Everything she heard his voice, the pain just throbbed across that scar she kept hidden so well. It was one of the few injuries the woman had ever received by the man she viewed as her superior: the only one who could potentially defeat her in battle. She knew he was strong. After all, they were so similar in so many ways. She learned to heal in order to prolong fights. Zaraki on the other hand, he weakened himself to allow for a more equal battlefield. Today, that was all going to change. The Head Captain had given her one last order. It was one she knew that she was not going to survive but it was something that must be done. The world only had room for one Kenpachi. It was time for Zaraki to rightfully claim such a title.
Muken was a dark cavern filled with a dreary atmosphere. It was cold, damp, and eery silent. Despite the obvious moisture that sent gooseflesh across your skin, not even drops of water could be heard. It was the perfect environment for training. They were out of the prying eyes of Wandenreich and not even the Quincy would be able to sense their presence this deep within the earth. It was the perfect location where they give it their all. And the perfect location for a grave.
With idle chitchat between the two captains, Unohana would turn to face Zaraki as he charged forward. Jumping up, his large sword swung down. Why was it so slow? Why was he so weak? It was like fighting a child with no skill. How was this the man who had harmed her oh so many years ago? With a faint smirk forming over her lips, the woman would merely lean to the right as the back of her hand rose to the attack. A simple push was all that was needed to knock it away as her other arm drew her blade and just nearly chopped off his head at the neck. As blood splattered from the superficial wound, her offense was not over just. Before he could recover, her foot found his wielding hand as her sword was brought down.
Zaraki was at least competent in some degree as a kick to her side knocked her back enough for him to recover. "I will praise the fact you removed your eye patch from the beginning," she said as the exchanged blows: sword parrying sword over and over again in some form of wild dance. "But, by removing it, you hit your bottom." With the sleight of hand, Unohana would drop a dagger into her left hand and quickly bring it up to slash vertically over the man's shoulder. She had to admit, he was fairly durable as the blade snapped into. You just couldn't get quality blades these days.
"The ones who use their swords with one hand and nothing in their other look to me like they do not enjoy fighting." Her tone was one of scolding and cold, certainly far from the affectionate healer of the 4th Division. Cheap tricks to wound foes, changing since the time he had looked up to her…Zaraki's words meant nothing as she backed him against a wall and held her nodachi at his throat. "I did not change at all. The last time we fought, I merely did not have the time to use such tricks." And with that, she stabbed. Blood spat from his mouth as his eyes went blank. Such a familiar sight. It was one she hated so much.
