He needed to get faster. There was no way Mase would be able to compete with all the jocks who were after him if he kept tripping over his own feet. So he needed to get faster, it didn't matter how long it took, he needed to get faster. Today, Mase wore a white tank top and black athletic shorts, as opposed to his normal hoodie. Mase figured it would be impossible to exercise in his hoodie, which was why he was wearing an outfit that he would normally never, ever wear. Mase wasn't exactly sure how to train his speed, but he figured running was the best way to make himself faster.
He jolted forwards, his feet gliding against the ground, until he tripped over a miniscule pebble and fell on his face. Mase groaned in pain and slowly stood up. He had to stay aware, he must not trip over anything in order to be fast enough. Mase took a deep breath, and began to run once again. His running shoes clacked against the ground, and Mase grinned, he'd actually ran for more than five seconds! However, the second he realized this, he tripped over absolutely nothing, and his body flopped on the ground, Mase's hands just barely stopping him from breaking his own nose.
Mase got up once again, the small cuts on his hands aching, despite their small size. Mase stared at the cuts for a second, before realizing that he should probably start running once more. His left foot stepped forwards first, followed by his left, then right right, then his left. He fell quickly fell into the rhythm, oblivious to the fact that he had been running for almost a minute now. However, just because he had been running for a while, it didn't mean he wouldn't somehow mess up. At this point, Mase was completely unaware of his surroundings, running into a tree for no apparent reason.
Running into the tree snapped Mase back into reality, and it was at this point that Mase realized he should pay attention to his surroundings. He let out a sigh, and shook his head, why did he suck so much at running? But it really didn't matter how much he sucked, because as long as he improved, his original state wouldn't really matter at all. Mase looked around, examining his surroundings, and making sure there were no trees nearby for him to run in to.
