Yes. Hollowification meant death for Quincy, however, there had been a change within her surviving the process recovering her body from the death state it was in, at the time. A topic that was quite too touchy for her for such a serious moment involving her friend, which was rich, considering she never truly takes anything seriously. Nonetheless, the lethal aspects of hollowification did damage to more than her life, her abilities were stripped from her and it was only until recently that those have recovered.. And it wasn’t as ‘simple’ as a recovery.
“Ah.” She smiled with a nod, “I see.” She responded simply, not so much relieved. It worried her that ‘someone’ else was going to get involved, such concern did not appear over her face. She was also a little shocked to really speak about her nature in being a Quincy, which was fine so long as she didn’t have to bring up what she did ‘back’ then, her job and such on. She also did not want to express that Quincy were known to be going to this location, in fact, there was so much that she did not want to state in fear of speaking of its existence, will make it a reality.
Following over to his preferred civic to get them places, it was not classy in any form or shape, but in truth, it was neat to her and quite neat it was compared to the time she came from. He could’ve made this as the new social normal, lying to her face and she wouldn’t have even knew the difference. Thus, in a way, it did not take much to impress her on any level. She was just that simple in some regard.
Easing into the car, she closed the door as easily as it was opened. Crossing one leg over the other with her hands raising to her hair, she began to adjust her hair into a ponytail, leaving the hair that draped over her shoulders as it was. “Oh. By the way. Thank you for the assistance.” She forgot to really say anything on the topic. She kinda came to him not really knowing anything outside of word of mouth, which called her to smile a bit. “I guess, Sayuri is a good judge of character.” She murmured.
“After invading her privacy, I collected a recent sample and plucked a device from a fellow in arms. Thus, it should not be too difficult to track her. The Mare seemed to be doing it just fine, but never seemed to actually ‘catch’ her.” It could be a little offsetting by how easily she said these things.

"Its not you that needs to thank me. And its not going to be her that needs to say sorry," Gage starts the engine, the sputter of the out of time pistons rattling. He enjoyed working on bikes, being his primary mode of transportation but since he never had guests he tended to leave his car out of sorts for the most part. It wasn't even currently street legal, the insurance and registration never having been done. Rolling his window down with the hand crank he starts off, tapping a button on his phone to close his garage door behind him. "So the guy we are on our way to meet. Have you ever heard of him? His name is Theo."
Gage could only hope that her being a quincy and Theo being a Arrancar meant that they had yet to meet but still. The spiritual world was small, many of its players having interacted at some point or another. It was actually even more rare to find someone that had yet to interact with any of the other members out there. Soul Society has made a point to introduce themselves to anyone that could show a miniscule amount of energy on the off chance that they would at some point become important.

Exhaling heavily through her nose, the sigh was nothing good and for a moment, she almost expressed her worry. She didn’t know what to expect anymore, everything seemed fine not too long ago and maybe, she ignored the warning signs. Maybe, she didn’t really push the topics hard enough when she spoke to her apathetic friend. Despite the gloom in concern, her head did cant to the garage door closing on its own, that’s neat. Technology was neat. As his questioned grabbed her attention again, she turned to look in his direction. “Ah. A Theo?” She questioned with her index applying itself centered on her lips, with a bit of thought and consideration towards his question, instead of a solid answer on the spot. She met many people, considering what she did most of her time, but not a Theo, she didn’t think. “No. I cannot say I have.” She admitted.
It was alarm to be asked the way he did, so she was a little concerned. “The way you asked,” She was sharper than she appeared, “His temperament is not too good, is it?” She questioned. It must’ve been due to what she was, ideally, that was always an issue. Though, she simply smiled. She could not think of a single thing the Quincy did in her time, to better their relationship with others, they were even quite rude to average humans in her time too. Having a stick up their ass without a doubt, little personality too.
“I am sure all will be fine.” She said with an ease to her tone, more so for herself, than anything else.. There was no nervousness presented.

In all the trip is short to get to the bakery. Gage parking the car with little issue, the brakes squealing slightly as it comes to a halt. Piece of junk. Tossing the keys into the driver seat he does not even care if it is stolen or if it is towed. No tears would be shed on his end. "So yes. He is a bit of a touchy personality. Where we are going. We need to talk to him first. I am going to go inside and try to get my point across and warm him up. You stay out here and I will come get you. You can play with the radio or something until I get back." Stepping up onto the curb Gage brushes off his jeans and takes a deep breath. This was a bit of a stretch but it was better to ask than to start some kind of minimal feud.
Opening the door to the bakery Gage looks around, the smells of all the food washing over him. If he weren't so nervous then his stomach would have growled in hunger, everything here being enough to make his mouth water. He even remembers the table right there that they sat together and made a pack to not wage war in each others realms. Here is hoping that Theo would see his side and grant his blessing. "Hello?"
It wasn't his bakery. He never had one, and was more of a pots and pan kind of guy. Theocelese did like to bake, but he wasn't as good as the Vizard. Then again, Caesar wasn't as good as the Arrancar when it came to cooking. This place belonged to Caesar...but Theocelese did have a key. Not the spare one...No....but Theocelese did know where that one was located. Even if it was moved, it didn't matter. He made an extra or two. Today, though, the Vizard was out and the Arrancar took it upon himself to go and do as he normally did by taking what he wanted, and leaving the compensation in the Vizard's till. While here, a nice cup of coffee was made and he was enjoying the lack of people. The silence. The sweetness of the shortcake and the strength of the brew were all that mattered right now. All of this was disturbed when a familiar presence came into the establishment. Apparently....he'd forgotten to lock the door. There was another person out there, and it made his blood boil. A Quincy. A weak one...it was no threat--at the moment.
The last drink of his coffee came with it a long, and frustrated sigh. He was irritated already, that was obvious.
"Can you explain to me why you are with our true enemy?" Was all the Arrancar asked. With his back facing the door, the man spoke in front of him. The thought of downing half a bottle of the body-numbing pills came to mind...but...he wanted to be sober for this. As sober as an abused brain could be, anyways.
"Lissa is hardly a true enemy to either of us. She is a Quincy though," Gage says matter of factly. "But, she holds no allegiance to the Wardenreich or the other Quincy factions. She is only here for Sayuri, a friend of mine." Pulling out his phone Gage pulls up a photo of Sayuri, a friend of his and a fellow Fullbringer. "Sayuri was kidnapped. Taken. Something. I don't know the details but Lissa says that she is in Hueco Mundo, who ever was following her having done something to get her out of the way. She is or was set to become some kind of financial heir to her family corporation but with her out of the way its the next down on the food chain to get it." Gage hated politics, the constant babbling about this and that and my opinion and what I need is more important than you. On any other circumstance he would have just gone into Hueco Mundo of his own accord, as he has done on many other occasions but situations like this needed a bit more tact.
"I want Lissa to come with me. The Wardenreich is no joking matter to me and if I can work with Lissa I feel like we can both make her an asset in the fights to come. She currently wants to see them dead as much as you and me, she just lacks the means to make it happen. The chance to earn her trust and to get Sayuri back is not something that I can pass up. That being the case I came here as a courtesy. I would have just gone and found her on my own but I needed your..."Gage was unsure of how to word what he is doing, the situation being a neatly contained Molotov cocktail," 'Say' I suppose. As soon as I find out where Sayuri is I will be out. We are not invading, we are not waging war. I just want to find my friend. Fullbringers are rare out here and I don't want to lose another to some corporate blackmail. I'm not asking for your help. Just your approval. When this is all done, you won't hear another word about it. Please. Concider this me asking you to return the favor for when I came to help you."
Gage was of course referencing when Theo called asking for Gage to arm him, preparing him for some kind of war with the demons of his past. While this was not as personal to Gage's own past it was just as important to Gage's future. Time to see what the king says...
'Aye, I was there the day she was taken. I was given the option to combat her taking, but in doing so I risked many other souls in the process. She was abducted by the same beast that wreaked havoc on this town. I don't need to remind you what the out come could have been. I'll be surprised and amused if Sayuri did not die from just going to the Night Realm. Tyrannus used no special portals to allow her to go there, and her strength at the time was so insignificant, her soul should have been torn from her body the moment that piece of shit stepped onto the sands." Theocelese began, lifting the dishes he used up from the table. "Just a moment, please." He said, taking the mug, plate and silverware used to the back. They were cleaned promptly and returned to their original storing areas. When Theocelese came out, he did so with one hand resting on the pommel of his blade. The relaxed demeanor was replaced with a far more predatory one. He eyed the human, teeth grinding together. "You do not need my permission to go to Hueco Mundo, Gage. I don't own it. I would appreciate a telephone call if you decided to visit me at my home, however." He said this as he walked right past the man, heading outside and with the door still open, locked it up. Gage could still exit, but could not return inside.
"I do not care of this girl's origins, her thoughts on her filthy kind or which side she wishes to take. I am bound by oath to destroy her. If you must have her as a consort of some kind, then so be it. But she will lose all of her powers and the capabilities for her whore legs to spread and shit out more Quincy are to be fixed. Those are your options. She dies, or she lives with no way to propagate the plague that is her kind. Say what you will, but I will not have descendants harboring resent for the war their people lost. That has how this started in the first place--and I will not have the desperate rapping of Shinigami knuckles on my door a hundred years from now telling me the Quincy have ravaged them yet again" These words were seething with malice. It was clear cut and dry that this was going to end in two ways. To further drove this point, the brutal weapon that was Noxa came into his grip, and held in one hand. "As to you my owing you one...I believe you came to be first for aid for that project of yours. As the kids say, we are....even Stevens. I will help you find the missing girl, though. Tyrannus, should he appear, cannot be faced alone. And you wish to bring that thing with you? You might as well just let me kill her." The Arrancar scoffed, then spit on the grounds. He mumbled something in Greek, but as the two of them more than likely hadn't known the language, what was said eluded them.
In regards to Gage's mistress, well it was obvious Theocelese was willing to shed blood to complete his personal objectives and fulfill whatever oaths he swore to others. As for the one he took with the very man he spoke with, that had no say or did not come into play here. This was not some war on the Soul Society. This was a matter of justice, and curbing future incursions before they even had a chance to blossom. This was a matter of avenging his sons and daughters. Theocelese made a mental note to deal the finishing blow with Solinex's Zanpakutou, if it came to that.
Gage felt his stomach fall as the naming of Tyrannus. He was not ready to combat a beast of quiet such magnitude. Maybe if he had more time, developed some more of his skills and found a way to be of more...use. As of right now he was still fully aware of the fact that Tyrannus was in a class above and to fight him was to be fighting a uphill battle against a giant. "Okay. I'm sorry. I came in without any announcement demanding your approval and help. Its not your property but I consider it your home, the place where you go to live your life as who you are. I am just worried. She vanished weeks ago and I don't know how she is faring or even if she is guarantied to be alive. I just know that I have to go find her."
Gage didn't want to say it out loud but he felt responsible. Almost as if it were his fault that she was in the position in the first place. If he had taken some initiative and done something, anything at all, about Tyrannus then this probably would be different. Even if he had been training instead of tinkering with his toys. "I can't ask that you fight Tyrannus though. If she is there then I just want to get in, get her and leave. If it comes to a fight with Tyrannus then so be it. My fight is not your fight but if you want to come then I will not stop you. I just can't imagine the tilting of what ever social-political tables that this would bring if you and Tyrannus would have to butt heads." What army sided with Theo that would clash with Tyrannus? What allies played a part in this game? Gage had no interest in these back and forth skirmishes, proving points and making their part known but if it came to Tyrannus then he had quiet literally no information on the path that lay ahead. "I would be very grateful for any information that you could provide me with though. Anything to help that would keep you out of the fight and MAYBE extend my life enough to make it to my thirties. Late thirties preferably," A small joke to lighten the mood never hurt but Gage was known for his poor sense of timing.

A kind heart like me really doesn’t have to do this You don’t deserve it
[attr="class","scrollyd"]
Previously, on the adventures of Lissa Lotte. Within her nervousness or anxiety, beyond her friendly smile and cheery remarks, she was concerned for one too many things to count or consider anymore. Sadly, none of them were involved with her general safety to her situation, even with the worrisome behavior entangled with words from Gage. Had she been too shortsighted? A little too naive? Well, no and yes. Fully aware of the hatred that circle, dancing around the quincy breed and those who did not wish to even sure the same existence with them, she did not sway and that could be troublesome in its own way. Her thoughts centered them more own her friend, along with her decision of making the right choice.
Such thoughts, emotions and in depth reflection did not waver her smile or alter her mood. Instead, she simply did as told. She sat in patience and calmness, taking her hand to the radio, thus she decided to quench her curious thirst for the technology of this time. Pressing her index upon a random number as her thumb adjust the volume dial, or what she assumed that was to be. There was one thing that hadn’t changed, it was her appreciation for music and it had only got better with the change in time periods. Exploring her options, she ceased upon what would be an upbeat jazzy, mixed with a bit of poppy feel? At least, that is what she thought, nonetheless, it was something that would’ve made her feel a little better about her situation.
After a few moments, she collected her phone from her pocket as she swayed left to right in rhythm to the song, an idle mind was an enemy to her and thus, she next decided to read something on her cellular device… However, just as she found herself doing it, something caught her attention and possibly, she could’ve made the music a bit louder, because what she heard wasn’t something that would’ve eased anything self-disgust related. Just as she heard, was just as easily something cut into her fabric of being, the words that she heard cut deeper than weapon that she had the pleasure of knowing or experiencing. Lifting her head not, she feared what she would be hold and thus, her head kept lowered with her butterscotch hues locked to her screen. And it wasn’t fear, more so a hatred from her current placement that reminded her of the harsh truth of her reality. There was a thousand things she did not know from the passage of hundreds years, but pain was still pain and hatred was still that. Still. Despite that pain or hatred, the discouragement too, she did not let it bother her. Yet.
As her head kept lowered, her lengthy bangs kept her hues from seeing beyond her and with their close, she began to possibly whisper a prayer of encouragement for herself. It was okay to be scared, which she was, but she was more so braver than ever scared of something. In spite, she did not allow the temptation of other things cloud her to make her situation any worse. Possibly, this prayer was for guidance. Or perchance, that she was not listening, maybe the bubbly girl in her was too absorbed in the music, which was not too loud to be a disturbance to anyone around or worthy of a ticket for a fine, and her phone, to which, she was typing away on and occasionally, a sound of a bubble popping could be heard.
Yes. She was playing a game. Anything to distract her impending doom. Anything had been going to smooth, until this part. Where she could’ve said something, or made a point about her fate. She decided it would be best to wait until she was spoken to or Gage told her she could leave the this weird vehicle. In general reaction to her situation, she was calm and held her cheery smile. With her impending doom, she was attempting to select the right things to say, but falling in on ‘silence’ is the best answer. “Just breathe. Just breathe. And smile.” She whispered to herself. She did not know the feel--She didn't want to know, but she did sign up for this in a way... Ah. Damn.

Theocelese glared at Gage in a way that may have caused a bit of unease in the man's stomach. It was the way one looked at another when dark thoughts of violence surfaced to one's mind. The Arrancar held back those urges, knowing that was not the manner in which to conduct himself in this situation. At least, when it came to Gage. Funny how the man didn't quite seem to care much about the fate of the Quincy in his busted up, old jallopy. Theocelese took this as an affirmation. The girl would live, but would leave a completely mundane life from this day forward. No powers. No children. Despite wanting to drive his blade right into her heart, he'd let her live. Even if the painful thrumming in his head already grew worse with the rising of his hatred, there would be something left. Theocelese just hoped he wouldn't wind up crippling her in the process, she might as well be dead just the same anyways.
"You interrupted me with the presumption that I am some ruler. The only thing I have a say in is my little corner of Las Noches. My word there, despite who I may be, is equal to others in all situations except for the little war we face now. Those who follow me into battle do so voluntarily." Theocelese began, the frown on his face evolving into a disdainful scowl. If Gage thought he lived a life only in Las Noches, he was sorely wrong. There was a reason why he wouldn't have any hostility towards the human realm or those within it, barring of course a small collection of mortals gave to him the gift of an injustice.
"You are wrong about many things. Your fight is my fight. My future plans coming to fruition partly rests upon your staying alive. The Soul Society needs you in their darkest time, just as they so desperately need me. I cannot in good conscious allow you to go without escort and I sure as hell will not let you have the sole honour of killing that monster. Worry not about what should come to pass if we should encounter the ape. As to what he is capable of...he is like those science fiction psychic soldiers. From what I have seen, he can use telekinesis--but he is unable to manipulate your person. Do not stand still and the force he uses to assault you can be avoided. If you can, work with me at a distance and he can easily be dispatched." Now Theocelese wasn't exactly known to be one to take the long-distance route to kill someone...but for someone who bartered the lives of children in order for safe passage...The Lion was willing to make an exception. "Now then...I have one order of business to conduct before we depart."
His body shifted, and the chain-axe came to life with a deep, throaty growl. The teeth began to churn slowly in a not-so subtle, menacing fashion. Approaching the vehicle slowly, his eyes looked to lock onto the Quincy's own. If he couldn't kill her, he was going to drink her fear like water and bask in the terror plaguing her heart. But it was when he heard the exhilarating notes of Duke Ellington's Harlem Nocturne, the song stopped him in his tracks. The murder that his eyes seemed so keen on wanting vanished like a fire extinguished with haste. This was one of the pieces that Sophia played for him on a rather special night, and would play for him whenever he'd had an exceptionally bad day.The weapon that recently spurred into action halted, becoming frozen in time just as her wielder did.
The Arrancar took one deep breath, head slowly tilting back as if he'd just stepped into a hot shower. It all melted away. The agony in his mind and soul, the hatred, the tension, the desire to see this woman mutilated. All of it. Neither of these two knew Theocelese as well as a number of people that could be counted on one hand, but the man, even in life, was superstitious. Certain events revealed that his faith, while misplaced in the wrong deity, was emboldened by a different cast all together. He took this moment in, and returned his gaze back to the car. And then, he looked around, as if he knew something Gage and the Quincy did not. There were only two possibilities that came to his mind, and the shrinking of the nearby shadows to their normal size was a blatant show of just who had a hand in this situation turning out as it did. Noxa was fashioned to his back once more, and he continued to the car. He tapped on the window a few times.
"What is your name, girl?" Theocelese asked, fishing out a cigarette and lighting it up then and there. The open pack was extended out, regardless if the window was rolled down or not.
