Questions

• When you make a modified version of a technique, are you able to remove the old technique, or are you obligated to have both of them?

• If a technique is non-combat only (basically a plot technique with no combat applications), does it still use up a Technique Slot?

• For Item Creation, the Item Guide says something about a "Materials List" where we can find mats made by other players as well as ones that are just 'there' for use. When I click the link (both of them) the page refreshes... Does the Materials List still exist, or did that go the way of the dinosaur?

• I'm wanting to make an intermediate item (an item that's useless on its own, but can be used to make other items) and was wondering what level of mastery I would need to make it. The general creation process that I had planned was taking common sand from either HM or SS --which has a very minor amount of spiritual energy (I think)-- and putting it through a very simple refining process. Below is the effect verbatim that I wanted it to have.
